पूरन पारब्रहम परमेसुर मेरे मन सदा धिआईऐ ॥१॥
O my mind, meditate forever on the Perfect, Supreme Lord God, the Transcendent Lord. ||1||

सिमरहु हरि हरि नामु परानी ॥
Meditate in remembrance on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, O mortal.
ਬਿਨਸੈ ਕਾਚੀ ਦੇਹ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Binasai Kaachee Dhaeh Agiaanee || Rehaao ||
बिनसै काची देह अगिआनी ॥ रहाउ ॥
Your frail body shall perish, you ignorant fool. ||Pause||
ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਅਰੁ ਸੁਪਨ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਵਡਾਈ ॥
Mrig Thrisanaa Ar Supan Manorathh Thaa Kee Kashh N Vaddaaee ||
म्रिग त्रिसना अरु सुपन मनोरथ ता की कछु न वडाई ॥
Illusions and dream-objects possess nothing of greatness.
ਰਾਮ ਭਜਨ ਬਿਨੁ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਵਸਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
Raam Bhajan Bin Kaam N Aavas Sang N Kaahoo Jaaee ||2||
राम भजन बिनु कामि न आवसि संगि न काहू जाई ॥२॥
Without meditating on the Lord, nothing succeeds, and nothing will go along with you. ||2||
ਹਉ ਹਉ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਹਾਇ ਅਵਰਦਾ ਜੀਅ ਕੋ ਕਾਮੁ ਨ ਕੀਨਾ ॥
Ho Ho Karath Bihaae Avaradhaa Jeea Ko Kaam N Keenaa ||
हउ हउ करत बिहाइ अवरदा जीअ को कामु न कीना ॥
Acting in egotism and pride, his life passes away, and he does nothing for his soul.
ਧਾਵਤ ਧਾਵਤ ਨਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸਿਆ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਹੀ ਚੀਨਾ ॥੩॥
Dhhaavath Dhhaavath Neh Thripathaasiaa Raam Naam Nehee Cheenaa ||3||
धावत धावत नह त्रिपतासिआ राम नामु नही चीना ॥३॥
Wandering and wandering all around, he is never satisfied; he does not remember the Name of the Lord. ||3||
ਸਾਦ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਬਿਖੈ ਰਸ ਮਾਤੋ ਅਸੰਖ ਖਤੇ ਕਰਿ ਫੇਰੇ ॥
Saadh Bikaar Bikhai Ras Maatho Asankh Khathae Kar Faerae ||
साद बिकार बिखै रस मातो असंख खते करि फेरे ॥
Intoxicated with the taste of corruption, cruel pleasures and countless sins, he is consigned to the cycle of reincarnation.

Gun Gaavahu Pooran Abinaasee Kaam Krodhh Bikh Jaarae ||
गुण गावहु पूरन अबिनासी काम क्रोध बिखु जारे ॥
Sing the Glorious Praises of the Perfect, Imperishable Lord, and the poison of sexual desire and anger shall be burnt away.
ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਅਗਨਿ ਕੋ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਉਧਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
Mehaa Bikham Agan Ko Saagar Saadhhoo Sang Oudhhaarae ||1||
महा बिखमु अगनि को सागरु साधू संगि उधारे ॥१॥
You shall cross over the awesome, arduous ocean of fire, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||
ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੇਟਿਓ ਭਰਮੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ॥
Poorai Gur Maettiou Bharam Andhhaeraa ||
पूरै गुरि मेटिओ भरमु अंधेरा ॥
The Perfect Guru has dispelled the darkness of doubt.
ਭਜੁ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨੇਰਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

भजु प्रेम भगति प्रभु नेरा ॥ रहाउ ॥
Remember God with love and devotion; He is near at hand. ||Pause||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਆ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਰਹੇ ਅਘਾਈ ॥
Har Har Naam Nidhhaan Ras Peeaa Man Than Rehae Aghaaee ||
हरि हरि नामु निधान रसु पीआ मन तन रहे अघाई ॥
Drink in the sublime essence, the treasure of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, and your mind and body shall remain satisfied.
ਜਤ ਕਤ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਕਤ ਆਵੈ ਕਤ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
Jath Kath Poor Rehiou Paramaesar Kath Aavai Kath Jaaee ||2||
जत कत पूरि रहिओ परमेसरु कत आवै कत जाई ॥२॥
The Transcendent Lord is totally permeating and pervading everywhere; where would He come from, and where would He go? ||2||
ਜਪ ਤਪ ਸੰਜਮ ਗਿਆਨ ਤਤ ਬੇਤਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਗਪਾਲਾ ॥
Jap Thap Sanjam Giaan Thath Baethaa Jis Man Vasai Guopaalaa ||
जप तप संजम गिआन तत बेता जिसु मनि वसै गोपाला ॥
One whose mind is filled with the Lord, is a person of meditation, penance, self-restraint and spiritual wisdom, and a knower of reality.
ਨਾਮੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਘਾਲਾ ॥੩॥
Naam Rathan Jin Guramukh Paaeiaa Thaa Kee Pooran Ghaalaa ||3||
नामु रतनु जिनि गुरमुखि पाइआ ता की पूरन घाला ॥३॥
The Gurmukh obtains the jewel of the Naam; his efforts come to perfect fruition. ||3||
ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟੇ ਦੁਖ ਸਗਲੇ ਕਾਟੀ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫਾਸਾ ॥
Kal Kalaes Mittae Dhukh Sagalae Kaattee Jam Kee Faasaa ||
कलि कलेस मिटे दुख सगले काटी जम की फासा ॥
All his struggles, sufferings and pains are dispelled, and the noose of death is cut away from him.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਭਏ ਬਿਗਾਸਾ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੨੩॥
Kahu Naanak Prabh Kirapaa Dhhaaree Man Than Bheae Bigaasaa ||4||12||23||
कहु नानक प्रभि किरपा धारी मन तन भए बिगासा ॥४॥१२॥२३॥
Says Nanak, God has extended His Mercy, and so his mind and body blossom forth. ||4||12||23||

Karan Karaavanehaar Prabh Dhaathaa Paarabreham Prabh Suaamee ||
करण करावणहार प्रभु दाता पारब्रहम प्रभु सुआमी ॥
God is the Doer, the Cause of causes, the Great Giver; God is the Supreme Lord and Master.
ਸਗਲੇ ਜੀਅ ਕੀਏ ਦਇਆਲਾ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥੧॥
Sagalae Jeea Keeeae Dhaeiaalaa So Prabh Antharajaamee ||1||
सगले जीअ कीए दइआला सो प्रभु अंतरजामी ॥१॥
The Merciful Lord created all beings; God is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. ||1||
ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਆ ਆਪਿ ਸਹਾਈ ॥
Maeraa Gur Hoaa Aap Sehaaee ||
मेरा गुरु होआ आपि सहाई ॥
My Guru is Himself my friend and support.
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਰਸ ਅਚਰਜ ਭਈ ਬਡਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sookh Sehaj Aanandh Mangal Ras Acharaj Bhee Baddaaee || Rehaao ||
सूख सहज आनंद मंगल रस अचरज भई बडाई ॥ रहाउ ॥
I am in celestial peace, bliss, joy, pleasure and wondrous glory. ||Pause||
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਏ ਭੈ ਨਾਸੇ ਸਾਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਾਨੇ ॥
Gur Kee Saran Peae Bhai Naasae Saachee Dharageh Maanae ||
गुर की सरणि पए भै नासे साची दरगह माने ॥
Seeking the Sanctuary of the Guru, my fears have been dispelled, and I am accepted in the Court of the True Lord.
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਤ ਆਰਾਧਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਏ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਥਾਨੇ ॥੨॥
Gun Gaavath Aaraadhh Naam Har Aaeae Apunai Thhaanae ||2||
गुण गावत आराधि नामु हरि आए अपुनै थाने ॥२॥
Singing His Glorious Praises, and worshipping in adoration the Name of the Lord, I have reached my destination. ||2||
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ ਕਰੈ ਸਭ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥
Jai Jai Kaar Karai Sabh Ousathath Sangath Saadhh Piaaree ||
जै जै कारु करै सभ उसतति संगति साध पिआरी ॥
Everyone applauds and congratulates me; the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, is dear to me.
ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਿ ਜਾਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
Sadh Balihaar Jaao Prabh Apunae Jin Pooran Paij Savaaree ||3||
सद बलिहारि जाउ प्रभ अपुने जिनि पूरन पैज सवारी ॥३॥
I am forever a sacrifice to my God, who has totally protected and preserved my honor. ||3||
ਗੋਸਟਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਉਧਰੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Gosatt Giaan Naam Sun Oudhharae Jin Jin Dharasan Paaeiaa ||
गोसटि गिआनु नामु सुणि उधरे जिनि जिनि दरसनु पाइआ ॥
They are saved, who receive the Blessed Vision of His Darshan; they listen to the spiritual dialogue of the Naam.
ਭਇਓ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਅਨਦ ਸੇਤੀ ਘਰਿ ਆਇਆ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੨੪॥
Bhaeiou Kirapaal Naanak Prabh Apunaa Anadh Saethee Ghar Aaeiaa ||4||13||24||
भइओ क्रिपालु नानक प्रभु अपुना अनद सेती घरि आइआ ॥४॥१३॥२४॥
Nanak's God has become Merciful to him; he has arrived home in ecstasy. ||4||13||24||

प्रभ की सरणि सगल भै लाथे दुख बिनसे सुखु पाइआ ॥
In God's Sanctuary all fears depart suffering disappears, and peace is obtained.
ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੧॥
Dhaeiaal Hoaa Paarabreham Suaamee Pooraa Sathigur Dhhiaaeiaa ||1||
दइआलु होआ पारब्रहमु सुआमी पूरा सतिगुरु धिआइआ ॥१॥
When the Supreme Lord God and Master becomes merciful, we meditate on the Perfect True Guru. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀਉ ਤੂ ਮੇਰੋ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
Prabh Jeeo Thoo Maero Saahib Dhaathaa ||
प्रभ जीउ तू मेरो साहिबु दाता ॥
O Dear God, You are my Lord Master and Great Giver.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਉ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Prabh Dheen Dhaeiaalaa Gun Gaavo Rang Raathaa || Rehaao ||
करि किरपा प्रभ दीन दइआला गुण गावउ रंगि राता ॥ रहाउ ॥
By Your Mercy, O God, Merciful to the meek, imbue me with Your Love, that I might sing Your Glorious Praises. ||Pause||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥
Sathigur Naam Nidhhaan Dhrirraaeiaa Chinthaa Sagal Binaasee ||
सतिगुरि नामु निधानु द्रिड़ाइआ चिंता सगल बिनासी ॥
The True Guru has implanted the treasure of the Naam within me, and all my anxieties have been dispelled.
