रमत रामु सभ रहिओ समाइ ॥१॥
The Lord is ever-present, all-pervading. ||1||
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਬੋਲਹੁ ਰਾਮ ॥
Santh Janaa Mil Bolahu Raam ||
संत जना मिलि बोलहु राम ॥
Joining the humble Saints, chant the Lord's Name.

राम राम धनु संचि भंडार ॥
Gather the treasure, the wealth of the Lord, Raam, Raam.

Raam Raam Raam Kar Aahaar ||
राम राम राम करि आहार ॥
Let your sustenance be the Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam.
ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਵੀਸਰਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥
Raam Raam Veesar Nehee Jaae ||
राम राम वीसरि नही जाइ ॥
Never forget the Lord, Raam, Raam.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਆ ਬਤਾਇ ॥੨॥
Kar Kirapaa Gur Dheeaa Bathaae ||2||
करि किरपा गुरि दीआ बताइ ॥२॥
In His Mercy, the Guru has revealed this to me. ||2||

राम राम जपि निरमल भए ॥
Through the Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam, I have become immaculate.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਗਏ ॥੩॥
Janam Janam Kae Kilabikh Geae ||3||
जनम जनम के किलबिख गए ॥३॥
The sins of countless incarnations have been taken away. ||3||
ਰਮਤ ਰਾਮ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣੁ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ॥

रमत राम जनम मरणु निवारै ॥
Uttering the Lord's Name, birth and death are finished.
ਉਚਰਤ ਰਾਮ ਭੈ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰੈ ॥
Oucharath Raam Bhai Paar Outhaarai ||
उचरत राम भै पारि उतारै ॥
Repeating the Lord's Name, one crosses over the terrifying world-ocean.
ਸਭ ਤੇ ਊਚ ਰਾਮ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥
Sabh Thae Ooch Raam Paragaas ||
सभ ते ऊच राम परगास ॥
The Luminous Lord is the highest of all.
ਨਿਸਿ ਬਾਸੁਰ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ॥੪॥੮॥੧੦॥
Nis Baasur Jap Naanak Dhaas ||4||8||10||
निसि बासुर जपि नानक दास ॥४॥८॥१०॥
Night and day, servant Nanak meditates on Him. ||4||8||10||

ਉਨ ਕਉ ਖਸਮਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਠਾਕਹਾਰੇ ॥
Oun Ko Khasam Keenee Thaakehaarae ||
उन कउ खसमि कीनी ठाकहारे ॥
My Lord and Master has held back the five demons.
ਦਾਸ ਸੰਗ ਤੇ ਮਾਰਿ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ॥
Dhaas Sang Thae Maar Bidhaarae ||
दास संग ते मारि बिदारे ॥
He conquered them, and scared them away from the Lord's slave.
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਭਗਤ ਕਾ ਮਹਲੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Gobindh Bhagath Kaa Mehal N Paaeiaa ||
गोबिंद भगत का महलु न पाइआ ॥
They cannot find the mansion of the Lord's devotee.
ਰਾਮ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
Raam Janaa Mil Mangal Gaaeiaa ||1||
राम जना मिलि मंगलु गाइआ ॥१॥
Joining together, the Lord's humble servants sing the songs of joy. ||1||
ਸਗਲ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਕੇ ਪੰਚ ਸਿਕਦਾਰ ॥
Sagal Srisatt Kae Panch Sikadhaar ||
सगल स्रिसटि के पंच सिकदार ॥
The five demons are the rulers of the whole world,
ਰਾਮ ਭਗਤ ਕੇ ਪਾਨੀਹਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

राम भगत के पानीहार ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
But they are just water-carriers for the Lord's devotee. ||1||Pause||
ਜਗਤ ਪਾਸ ਤੇ ਲੇਤੇ ਦਾਨੁ ॥
Jagath Paas Thae Laethae Dhaan ||
जगत पास ते लेते दानु ॥
They collect taxes from the world,
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਭਗਤ ਕਉ ਕਰਹਿ ਸਲਾਮੁ ॥
Gobindh Bhagath Ko Karehi Salaam ||
गोबिंद भगत कउ करहि सलामु ॥
But they bow in subservience to God's devotees.
ਲੂਟਿ ਲੇਹਿ ਸਾਕਤ ਪਤਿ ਖੋਵਹਿ ॥
Loott Laehi Saakath Path Khovehi ||
लूटि लेहि साकत पति खोवहि ॥
They plunder and dishonor the faithless cynics,
ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਪਗ ਮਲਿ ਮਲਿ ਧੋਵਹਿ ॥੨॥
Saadhh Janaa Pag Mal Mal Dhhovehi ||2||
साध जना पग मलि मलि धोवहि ॥२॥
But they massage and wash the feet of the Holy. ||2||
ਪੰਚ ਪੂਤ ਜਣੇ ਇਕ ਮਾਇ ॥
Panch Pooth Janae Eik Maae ||
पंच पूत जणे इक माइ ॥
The One Mother gave birth to the five sons,
ਉਤਭੁਜ ਖੇਲੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਆਇ ॥
Outhabhuj Khael Kar Jagath Viaae ||
उतभुज खेलु करि जगत विआइ ॥
And began the play of the created world.
ਤੀਨਿ ਗੁਣਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਚਿ ਰਸੇ ॥
Theen Gunaa Kai Sang Rach Rasae ||
तीनि गुणा कै संगि रचि रसे ॥
With the three qualities joined together, they celebrate.
ਇਨ ਕਉ ਛੋਡਿ ਊਪਰਿ ਜਨ ਬਸੇ ॥੩॥
Ein Ko Shhodd Oopar Jan Basae ||3||
इन कउ छोडि ऊपरि जन बसे ॥३॥
Renouncing these three qualities, the Lord's humble servants rise above them. ||3||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਨ ਲੀਏ ਛਡਾਇ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Jan Leeeae Shhaddaae ||
करि किरपा जन लीए छडाइ ॥
In His Mercy, He saves His humble servants.
ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਸੇ ਤਿਨਿ ਰਖੇ ਹਟਾਇ ॥
Jis Kae Sae Thin Rakhae Hattaae ||
जिस के से तिनि रखे हटाइ ॥
They belong to Him, and so He saves them by driving out the five.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਾਰੁ ॥
Kahu Naanak Bhagath Prabh Saar ||
कहु नानक भगति प्रभ सारु ॥
Says Nanak, devotion to God is noble and sublime.
ਬਿਨੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਸਭ ਹੋਇ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥੪॥੯॥੧੧॥
Bin Bhagathee Sabh Hoe Khuaar ||4||9||11||
बिनु भगती सभ होइ खुआरु ॥४॥९॥११॥
Without devotion, all just waste away uselessly. ||4||9||11||

ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਇ ॥
Kal Kalaes Mittae Har Naae ||
कलि कलेस मिटे हरि नाइ ॥
Suffering and troubles are eradicated by the Lord's Name.
ਦੁਖ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਸੁਖ ਕੀਨੋ ਠਾਉ ॥
Dhukh Binasae Sukh Keeno Thaao ||
दुख बिनसे सुख कीनो ठाउ ॥
Pain is dispelled, and peace takes its place.
ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਘਾਏ ॥
Jap Jap Anmrith Naam Aghaaeae ||
जपि जपि अम्रित नामु अघाए ॥
Meditating, chanting the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, I am satisfied.
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸਗਲ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ॥੧॥

संत प्रसादि सगल फल पाए ॥१॥
By the Grace of the Saints, I have received all fruitful rewards. ||1||
ਰਾਮ ਜਪਤ ਜਨ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੇ ॥

राम जपत जन पारि परे ॥
Meditating on the Lord, His humble servant is carried across,
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਹਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Janam Janam Kae Paap Harae ||1|| Rehaao ||
जनम जनम के पाप हरे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
And the sins of countless incarnations are taken away. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਰਿਦੈ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
Gur Kae Charan Ridhai Our Dhhaarae ||
गुर के चरन रिदै उरि धारे ॥
I have enshrined the Guru's feet within my heart,
ਅਗਨਿ ਸਾਗਰ ਤੇ ਉਤਰੇ ਪਾਰੇ ॥
Agan Saagar Thae Outharae Paarae ||
अगनि सागर ते उतरे पारे ॥
And crossed over the ocean of fire.
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਸਭ ਮਿਟੀ ਉਪਾਧਿ ॥
Janam Maran Sabh Mittee Oupaadhh ||
जनम मरण सभ मिटी उपाधि ॥
All the painful diseases of birth and death have been eradicated.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੀ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਧਿ ॥੨॥
Prabh Sio Laagee Sehaj Samaadhh ||2||
प्रभ सिउ लागी सहजि समाधि ॥२॥
I am attached to God in celestial Samaadhi. ||2||
ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
Thhaan Thhananthar Eaeko Suaamee ||
थान थनंतरि एको सुआमी ॥
In all places and interspaces, the One, our Lord and Master is contained.
ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥
Sagal Ghattaa Kaa Antharajaamee ||
सगल घटा का अंतरजामी ॥
He is the Inner-knower of all hearts.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਮਤਿ ਦੇਇ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Jaa Ko Math Dhaee ||
करि किरपा जा कउ मति देइ ॥
One whom the Lord blesses with understanding,
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ਲੇਇ ॥੩॥
Aath Pehar Prabh Kaa Naao Laee ||3||
आठ पहर प्रभ का नाउ लेइ ॥३॥
Chants the Name of God, twenty-four hours a day. ||3||
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਸੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਿ ॥
Jaa Kai Anthar Vasai Prabh Aap ||
जा कै अंतरि वसै प्रभु आपि ॥
Deep within, God Himself abides;
ਤਾ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹੋਇ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
Thaa Kai Hiradhai Hoe Pragaas ||
ता कै हिरदै होइ प्रगासु ॥
Within his heart, the Divine Light shines forth.
ਭਗਤਿ ਭਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਕਰੀਐ ॥
Bhagath Bhaae Har Keerathan Kareeai ||
भगति भाइ हरि कीरतनु करीऐ ॥
With loving devotion, sing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises.
ਜਪਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਸਤਰੀਐ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੧੨॥
Jap Paarabreham Naanak Nisathareeai ||4||10||12||
जपि पारब्रहमु नानक निसतरीऐ ॥४॥१०॥१२॥
Meditate on the Supreme Lord God, O Nanak, and you shall be saved. ||4||10||12||
