The Lord, Har, Har, is the Purifier of sinners;
ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਮਾਨ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਮਨ ਕੋ ਭਾਵਨ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jeea Praan Maan Sukhadhaathaa Antharajaamee Man Ko Bhaavan || Rehaao ||
जीअ प्रान मान सुखदाता अंतरजामी मन को भावन ॥ रहाउ ॥
He is the soul, the breath of life, the Giver of peace and honor, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts; He is pleasing to my mind. ||Pause||
ਸੁੰਦਰੁ ਸੁਘੜੁ ਚਤੁਰੁ ਸਭ ਬੇਤਾ ਰਿਦ ਦਾਸ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਭਗਤ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਨ ॥
Sundhar Sugharr Chathur Sabh Baethaa Ridh Dhaas Nivaas Bhagath Gun Gaavan ||
सुंदरु सुघड़ु चतुरु सभ बेता रिद दास निवास भगत गुन गावन ॥
He is beautiful and wise, clever and all-knowing. He dwells within the hearts of His slaves; His devotees sing His Glorious Praises.

Niramal Roop Anoop Suaamee Karam Bhoom Beejan So Khaavan ||1||
निरमल रूप अनूप सुआमी करम भूमि बीजन सो खावन ॥१॥
His form is immaculate and pure; He is the incomparable Lord and Master. Upon the field of actions and karma, whatever one plants, one eats. ||1||

Bisaman Bisam Bheae Bisamaadhaa Aan N Beeou Dhoosar Laavan ||
बिसमन बिसम भए बिसमादा आन न बीओ दूसर लावन ॥
I am amazed, and wonder-struck by His wonder. There is none other than Him.

ਤ੍ਰਿਣ ਕੀ ਅਗਨਿ ਮੇਘ ਕੀ ਛਾਇਆ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਭਜਨ ਬਿਨੁ ਹੜ ਕਾ ਜਲੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Thrin Kee Agan Maegh Kee Shhaaeiaa Gobidh Bhajan Bin Harr Kaa Jal || Rehaao ||
त्रिण की अगनि मेघ की छाइआ गोबिद भजन बिनु हड़ का जलु ॥ रहाउ ॥
Without meditating on the Lord of the Universe, it is like straw on fire, or the shadow of a cloud, or the running of the flood-waters. ||Pause||
ਛੋਡਿ ਸਿਆਨਪ ਬਹੁ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਦੁਇ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਸਾਧ ਮਗਿ ਚਲੁ ॥
Shhodd Siaanap Bahu Chathuraaee Dhue Kar Jorr Saadhh Mag Chal ||
छोडि सिआनप बहु चतुराई दुइ कर जोड़ि साध मगि चलु ॥
Renounce your cleverness and all your mental tricks; with your palms pressed together, walk on the Path of the Holy Saints.
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਦੇਹ ਕਾ ਇਹੁ ਊਤਮ ਫਲੁ ॥੧॥
Simar Suaamee Antharajaamee Maanukh Dhaeh Kaa Eihu Ootham Fal ||1||
सिमरि सुआमी अंतरजामी मानुख देह का इहु ऊतम फलु ॥१॥
Remember the Lord, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts; this is the most sublime reward of this human incarnation. ||1||

Baedh Bakhiaan Karath Saadhhoo Jan Bhaageheen Samajhath Nehee Khal ||
बेद बखिआन करत साधू जन भागहीन समझत नही खलु ॥
The Holy Saints preach the teachings of the Vedas, but the unfortunate fools do not understand them.

ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਦੇਵੈ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਕੋਟਿ ਫਲਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਗੁਰ ਡੀਠੇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Vaddai Bhaag Dhaevai Paramaesar Kott Falaa Dharasan Gur Ddeethae || Rehaao ||
वडै भागि देवै परमेसरु कोटि फला दरसन गुर डीठे ॥ रहाउ ॥
By great good fortune, the Transcendent Lord has blessed me with them. Millions of rewards come from the Blessed Vision of the Guru's Darshan. ||Pause||
ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਅਚੁਤ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਮਦ ਢੀਠੇ ॥
Gun Gaavath Achuth Abinaasee Kaam Krodhh Binasae Madh Dteethae ||
गुन गावत अचुत अबिनासी काम क्रोध बिनसे मद ढीठे ॥
Singing the Glorious Praises of the imperishable, indestructible Lord, sexual desire, anger and stubborn pride vanish.
ਅਸਥਿਰ ਭਏ ਸਾਚ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਬਾਹੁਰਿ ਨਹੀ ਪੀਠੇ ॥੧॥
Asathhir Bheae Saach Rang Raathae Janam Maran Baahur Nehee Peethae ||1||
असथिर भए साच रंगि राते जनम मरन बाहुरि नही पीठे ॥१॥
Those who are imbued with the Love of the True Lord become permanent and eternal; birth and death do not grind them down any more. ||1||
ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਜਨ ਰੰਗ ਰਸ ਜੇਤੇ ਸੰਤ ਦਇਆਲ ਜਾਨੇ ਸਭਿ ਝੂਠੇ ॥
Bin Har Bhajan Rang Ras Jaethae Santh Dhaeiaal Jaanae Sabh Jhoothae ||
बिनु हरि भजन रंग रस जेते संत दइआल जाने सभि झूठे ॥
Without the Lord's meditation, all joys and pleasures are totally false and worthless; by the Kind Mercy of the Saints, I know this.

नाम रतनु पाइओ जन नानक नाम बिहून चले सभि मूठे ॥२॥८॥२७॥
Servant Nanak has found the jewel of the Naam; without the Naam, all must depart, cheated and plundered. ||2||8||27||

In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I contemplate the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਸਹਜਿ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਅੰਕੁਰੁ ਭਲੋ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sehaj Anandh Hovai Dhin Raathee Ankur Bhalo Hamaaraa || Rehaao ||
सहजि अनंदु होवै दिनु राती अंकुरु भलो हमारा ॥ रहाउ ॥
I am in peaceful poise and bliss, day and night; the seed of my destiny has sprouted. ||Pause||
ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਬਡਭਾਗੀ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰਾ ॥
Gur Pooraa Bhaettiou Baddabhaagee Jaa Ko Anth N Paaraavaaraa ||
गुरु पूरा भेटिओ बडभागी जा को अंतु न पारावारा ॥
I have met the True Guru, by great good fortune; He has no end or limitation.
ਕਰੁ ਗਹਿ ਕਾਢਿ ਲੀਓ ਜਨੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਬਿਖੁ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
Kar Gehi Kaadt Leeou Jan Apunaa Bikh Saagar Sansaaraa ||1||
करु गहि काढि लीओ जनु अपुना बिखु सागर संसारा ॥१॥
Taking His humble servant by the hand, He pulls him out of the poisonous world-ocean. ||1||
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਕਾਟੇ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਸੰਕਟ ਦੁਆਰਾ ॥
Janam Maran Kaattae Gur Bachanee Bahurr N Sankatt Dhuaaraa ||
जनम मरन काटे गुर बचनी बहुड़ि न संकट दुआरा ॥
Birth and death are ended for me, by the Word of the Guru's Teachings; I shall no longer pass through the door of pain and suffering.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਿ ਗਹੀ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੀ ਪੁਨਹ ਪੁਨਹ ਨਮਸਕਾਰਾ ॥੨॥੯॥੨੮॥

नानक सरनि गही सुआमी की पुनह पुनह नमसकारा ॥२॥९॥२८॥
Nanak holds tight to the Sanctuary of his Lord and Master; again and again, he bows in humility and reverence to Him. ||2||9||28||

I enjoy the ecstasy of millions of princely pleasures; remembering the Lord in meditation, all pains have been dispelled. ||1||Pause||
ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਨਾਸਹਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਤਨ ਮਨ ਸੁਖ ॥
Kott Janam Kae Kilabikh Naasehi Simarath Paavan Than Man Sukh ||
कोटि जनम के किलबिख नासहि सिमरत पावन तन मन सुख ॥
The sins of millions of lifetimes are erased, by meditating on the Lord; becoming pure, my mind and body have found peace.
ਦੇਖਿ ਸਰੂਪੁ ਪੂਰਨੁ ਭਈ ਆਸਾ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਭੇਟਤ ਉਤਰੀ ਭੁਖ ॥੧॥
Dhaekh Saroop Pooran Bhee Aasaa Dharasan Bhaettath Outharee Bhukh ||1||
देखि सरूपु पूरनु भई आसा दरसनु भेटत उतरी भुख ॥१॥
Gazing upon the Lord's form of perfect beauty, my hopes have been fulfilled; attaining the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, my hunger has been appeased. ||1||
ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਅਸਟ ਮਹਾ ਸਿਧਿ ਕਾਮਧੇਨੁ ਪਾਰਜਾਤ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰੁਖੁ ॥
Chaar Padhaarathh Asatt Mehaa Sidhh Kaamadhhaen Paarajaath Har Har Rukh ||
चारि पदारथ असट महा सिधि कामधेनु पारजात हरि हरि रुखु ॥
The four great blessings, the eight supernatural spiritual powers of the Siddhas, the wish-fulfilling Elysian cow, and the wish-fulfilling tree of life - all these come from the Lord, Har, Har.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਿ ਗਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਫਿਰਿ ਗਰਭ ਨ ਧੁਖੁ ॥੨॥੧੦॥੨੯॥
Naanak Saran Gehee Sukh Saagar Janam Maran Fir Garabh N Dhhukh ||2||10||29||
नानक सरनि गही सुख सागर जनम मरन फिरि गरभ न धुखु ॥२॥१०॥२९॥
O Nanak, holding tight to the Sanctuary of the Lord, the ocean of peace, you shall not suffer the pains of birth and death, or fall into the womb of reincarnation again. ||2||10||29||
