Har Har Charan Ridhai Our Dhhaarae ||
हरि हरि चरन रिदै उर धारे ॥
I have enshrined the Lord's Feet within my heart.

Punn Dhaan Poojaa Paramaesur Har Keerath Thath Beechaarae ||
पुंन दान पूजा परमेसुर हरि कीरति ततु बीचारे ॥
The merits of giving donations to charity and devotional worship come from the Kirtan of the Praises of the Transcendent Lord; this is the true essence of wisdom.
ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਅਤੁਲ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
Gun Gaavath Athul Sukh Paaeiaa Thaakur Agam Apaarae ||1||
गुन गावत अतुल सुखु पाइआ ठाकुर अगम अपारे ॥१॥
Singing the Praises of the unapproachable, infinite Lord and Master, I have found immeasurable peace. ||1||

जो जन पारब्रहमि अपने कीने तिन का बाहुरि कछु न बीचारे ॥
The Supreme Lord God does not consider the merits and demerits of those humble beings whom He makes His own.

उरझिओ कनक कामनी के रस नह कीरति प्रभ गाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I am entangled in the love of gold and women, and I have not sung the Kirtan of God's Praises. ||1||Pause||
ਜਗ ਝੂਠੇ ਕਉ ਸਾਚੁ ਜਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਤਾ ਸਿਉ ਰੁਚ ਉਪਜਾਈ ॥
Jag Jhoothae Ko Saach Jaan Kai Thaa Sio Ruch Oupajaaee ||
जग झूठे कउ साचु जानि कै ता सिउ रुच उपजाई ॥
I judge the false world to be true, and I have fallen in love with it.
ਦੀਨ ਬੰਧ ਸਿਮਰਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਕਬਹੂ ਹੋਤ ਜੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੧॥
Dheen Bandhh Simariou Nehee Kabehoo Hoth J Sang Sehaaee ||1||
दीन बंध सिमरिओ नही कबहू होत जु संगि सहाई ॥१॥
I have never contemplated the friend of the poor, who shall be my companion and helper in the end. ||1||
ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿਓ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੈ ਨਿਸ ਦਿਨਿ ਛੁਟੀ ਨ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਕਾਈ ॥
Magan Rehiou Maaeiaa Mai Nis Dhin Shhuttee N Man Kee Kaaee ||
मगन रहिओ माइआ मै निस दिनि छुटी न मन की काई ॥
I remain intoxicated by Maya, night and day, and the filth of my mind will not depart.

कोई बोलै निरवा कोई बोलै दूरि ॥
Some say that He is near, and others say that He is far away.
ਜਲ ਕੀ ਮਾਛੁਲੀ ਚਰੈ ਖਜੂਰਿ ॥੧॥
Jal Kee Maashhulee Charai Khajoor ||1||
जल की माछुली चरै खजूरि ॥१॥
We might just as well say that the fish climbs out of the water, up the tree. ||1||
ਕਾਂਇ ਰੇ ਬਕਬਾਦੁ ਲਾਇਓ ॥
Kaane Rae Bakabaadh Laaeiou ||
कांइ रे बकबादु लाइओ ॥
Why do you speak such nonsense?
ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਤਿਨਹਿ ਛਪਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jin Har Paaeiou Thinehi Shhapaaeiou ||1|| Rehaao ||
जिनि हरि पाइओ तिनहि छपाइओ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
One who has found the Lord, keeps quiet about it. ||1||Pause||
ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਹੋਇ ਕੈ ਬੇਦੁ ਬਖਾਨੈ ॥
Panddith Hoe Kai Baedh Bakhaanai ||
पंडितु होइ कै बेदु बखानै ॥
Those who become Pandits, religious scholars, recite the Vedas,
ਮੂਰਖੁ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਰਾਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੈ ॥੨॥੧॥
Moorakh Naamadhaeo Raamehi Jaanai ||2||1||
मूरखु नामदेउ रामहि जानै ॥२॥१॥
But foolish Naam Dayv knows only the Lord. ||2||1||
ਕਉਨ ਕੋ ਕਲੰਕੁ ਰਹਿਓ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੇਤ ਹੀ ॥
Koun Ko Kalank Rehiou Raam Naam Laeth Hee ||
कउन को कलंकु रहिओ राम नामु लेत ही ॥
Whose blemishes remain, when one chants the Lord's Name?
ਪਤਿਤ ਪਵਿਤ ਭਏ ਰਾਮੁ ਕਹਤ ਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

पतित पवित भए रामु कहत ही ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sinners become pure, chanting the Lord's Name. ||1||Pause||
ਰਾਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਤਗਿਆ ਆਈ ॥
Raam Sang Naamadhaev Jan Ko Prathagiaa Aaee ||
राम संगि नामदेव जन कउ प्रतगिआ आई ॥
With the Lord, servant Naam Dayv has come to have faith.
ਏਕਾਦਸੀ ਬ੍ਰਤੁ ਰਹੈ ਕਾਹੇ ਕਉ ਤੀਰਥ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥
Eaekaadhasee Brath Rehai Kaahae Ko Theerathh Jaaeanaee ||1||
एकादसी ब्रतु रहै काहे कउ तीरथ जाईं ॥१॥
I have stopped fasting on the eleventh day of each month; why should I bother to go on pilgrimages to sacred shrines? ||1||
ਭਨਤਿ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਭਏ ॥
Bhanath Naamadhaeo Sukirath Sumath Bheae ||
भनति नामदेउ सुक्रित सुमति भए ॥
Prays Naam Dayv, I have become a man of good deeds and good thoughts.
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਕਹਿ ਕੋ ਕੋ ਨ ਬੈਕੁੰਠਿ ਗਏ ॥੨॥੨॥
Guramath Raam Kehi Ko Ko N Baikunth Geae ||2||2||
गुरमति रामु कहि को को न बैकुंठि गए ॥२॥२॥
Chanting the Lord's Name, under Guru's Instructions, who has not gone to heaven? ||2||2||

Kunbhaar Kae Ghar Haanddee Aashhai Raajaa Kae Ghar Saanddee Go ||
कु्मभार के घर हांडी आछै राजा के घर सांडी गो ॥
In the potter's home there are pots, and in the king's home there are camels.
ਬਾਮਨ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਰਾਂਡੀ ਆਛੈ ਰਾਂਡੀ ਸਾਂਡੀ ਹਾਂਡੀ ਗੋ ॥੧॥
Baaman Kae Ghar Raanddee Aashhai Raanddee Saanddee Haanddee Go ||1||
बामन के घर रांडी आछै रांडी सांडी हांडी गो ॥१॥
In the Brahmin's home there are widows. So here they are: haandee, saandee, raandee. ||1||
ਬਾਣੀਏ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਹੀਂਗੁ ਆਛੈ ਭੈਸਰ ਮਾਥੈ ਸੀਂਗੁ ਗੋ ॥
Baaneeeae Kae Ghar Heenag Aashhai Bhaisar Maathhai Seenag Go ||
बाणीए के घर हींगु आछै भैसर माथै सींगु गो ॥
In the home of the grocer there is asafoetida; on the forehead of the buffalo there are horns.
ਦੇਵਲ ਮਧੇ ਲੀਗੁ ਆਛੈ ਲੀਗੁ ਸੀਗੁ ਹੀਗੁ ਗੋ ॥੨॥
Dhaeval Madhhae Leeg Aashhai Leeg Seeg Heeg Go ||2||
देवल मधे लीगु आछै लीगु सीगु हीगु गो ॥२॥
In the temple of Shiva there are lingams. So here they are: heeng, seeng, leeng. ||2||
ਤੇਲੀ ਕੈ ਘਰ ਤੇਲੁ ਆਛੈ ਜੰਗਲ ਮਧੇ ਬੇਲ ਗੋ ॥
Thaelee Kai Ghar Thael Aashhai Jangal Madhhae Bael Go ||
तेली कै घर तेलु आछै जंगल मधे बेल गो ॥
In the house of the oil-presser there is oil; in the forest there are vines.
ਮਾਲੀ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਕੇਲ ਆਛੈ ਕੇਲ ਬੇਲ ਤੇਲ ਗੋ ॥੩॥
Maalee Kae Ghar Kael Aashhai Kael Bael Thael Go ||3||
माली के घर केल आछै केल बेल तेल गो ॥३॥
In the gardener's home there are bananas. So here they are: tayl, bayl, kayl. ||3||
ਸੰਤਾਂ ਮਧੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਆਛੈ ਗੋਕਲ ਮਧੇ ਸਿਆਮ ਗੋ ॥
Santhaan Madhhae Gobindh Aashhai Gokal Madhhae Siaam Go ||
संतां मधे गोबिंदु आछै गोकल मधे सिआम गो ॥
The Lord of the Universe, Govind, is within His Saints; Krishna, Shyaam, is in Gokal.
ਨਾਮੇ ਮਧੇ ਰਾਮੁ ਆਛੈ ਰਾਮ ਸਿਆਮ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋ ॥੪॥੩॥
Naamae Madhhae Raam Aashhai Raam Siaam Gobindh Go ||4||3||
नामे मधे रामु आछै राम सिआम गोबिंद गो ॥४॥३॥
The Lord, Raam, is in Naam Dayv. So here they are: Raam, Shyaam, Govind. ||4||3||
