जिसु रूप न रेख वडाम ॥
He has no form or feature - He is Great!
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲੁ ਭਜੁ ਰਾਮ ॥

सतसंगति मिलु भजु राम ॥

जितु ग्रिहि मंदरि हरि होतु जासु तितु घरि आनदो आनंदु भजु राम राम राम ॥
That household, that mansion, in which the Lord's Praises are sung - that home is filled with ecstasy and joy; so vibrate and meditate on the Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam.

I eagerly kiss the Feet of the True Guru.

जितु मिलि हरि पाधर बाट ॥
Meeting Him, the Path to the Lord becomes smooth and easy.
ਭਜੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਰਸ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਟ ॥
Bhaj Har Ras Ras Har Gaatt ||
भजु हरि रसु रस हरि गाट ॥
I lovingly vibrate and meditate on the Lord, and gulp down His Sublime Essence.

खट करम किरिआ करि बहु बहु बिसथार सिध साधिक जोगीआ करि जट जटा जट जाट ॥
Some perform the six rituals and rites; the Siddhas, seekers and Yogis put on all sorts of pompous shows, with their hair all tangled and matted.
ਕਰਿ ਭੇਖ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜੋਗੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਤਸੰਗਤੀ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਖੋਲਿ ਖੋਲਿ ਕਪਾਟ ॥੧॥

करि भेख न पाईऐ हरि ब्रहम जोगु हरि पाईऐ सतसंगती उपदेसि गुरू गुर संत जना खोलि खोलि कपाट ॥१॥
Yoga - Union with the Lord God - is not obtained by wearing religious robes; the Lord is found in the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, and the Guru's Teachings. The humble Saints throw the doors wide open. ||1||
ਤੂ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਤਿ ਅਗਾਹੁ ਤੂ ਭਰਪੁਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਜਲ ਥਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਇਕੁ ਇਕੋ ਇਕ ਏਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਥਾਟ ॥

तू अपर्मपरु सुआमी अति अगाहु तू भरपुरि रहिआ जल थले हरि इकु इको इक एकै हरि थाट ॥
O my Lord and Master, You are the farthest of the far, utterly unfathomable. You are totally pervading the water and the land. You alone are the One and Only Unique Lord of all creation.
ਤੂ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਆਪੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਘਟਿ ਘਟੇ ਘਟਿ ਘਟੇ ਘਟਿ ਹਰਿ ਘਾਟ ॥੨॥੪॥੧੦॥

You alone know all Your ways and means. You alone understand Yourself. Servant Nanak's Lord God is in each heart, in every heart, in the home of each and every heart. ||2||4||10||

The Lord, Har, Har, is inaccessible and unfathomable.
ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਲਾਧੋ ॥
Math Guramath Har Prabh Laadhho ||
मति गुरमति हरि प्रभु लाधो ॥
Through the Guru's Teachings, my intellect attains the Lord God.

Bikh Maaeiaa Sanch Bahu Chithai Bikaar Sukh Paaeeai Har Bhaj Santh Santh Sangathee Mil Sathiguroo Gur Saadhho ||
बिखु माइआ संचि बहु चितै बिकार सुखु पाईऐ हरि भजु संत संत संगती मिलि सतिगुरू गुरु साधो ॥
Collecting the poison of Maya, people think of all sorts of evil. But peace is found only by vibrating and meditating on the Lord; with the Saints, in the Sangat, the Society of the Saints, meet the True Guru, the Holy Guru.
ਜਿਉ ਛੁਹਿ ਪਾਰਸ ਮਨੂਰ ਭਏ ਕੰਚਨ ਤਿਉ ਪਤਿਤ ਜਨ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਸੁਧ ਹੋਵਤ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਸੁਧ ਹਾਧੋ ॥੧॥
Jio Shhuhi Paaras Manoor Bheae Kanchan Thio Pathith Jan Mil Sangathee Sudhh Hovath Guramathee Sudhh Haadhho ||1||
जिउ छुहि पारस मनूर भए कंचन तिउ पतित जन मिलि संगती सुध होवत गुरमती सुध हाधो ॥१॥
Just as when the iron slag is transmuted into gold by touching the Philosopher's Stone - when the sinner joins the Sangat, he becomes pure, through the Guru's Teachings. ||1||
ਜਿਉ ਕਾਸਟ ਸੰਗਿ ਲੋਹਾ ਬਹੁ ਤਰਤਾ ਤਿਉ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਤਰੇ ਸਾਧ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਸਾਧੋ ॥
Jio Kaasatt Sang Lohaa Bahu Tharathaa Thio Paapee Sang Tharae Saadhh Saadhh Sangathee Gur Sathiguroo Gur Saadhho ||
जिउ कासट संगि लोहा बहु तरता तिउ पापी संगि तरे साध साध संगती गुर सतिगुरू गुर साधो ॥
Just like the heavy iron which is carried across on the wooden raft, sinners are carried across in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and the Guru, the True Guru, the Holy Guru.
ਚਾਰਿ ਬਰਨ ਚਾਰਿ ਆਸ੍ਰਮ ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਮਿਲੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਕੁਲ ਸਗਲ ਤਰਾਧੋ ॥੨॥੫॥੧੧॥
Chaar Baran Chaar Aasram Hai Koee Milai Guroo Gur Naanak So Aap Tharai Kul Sagal Tharaadhho ||2||5||11||
चारि बरन चारि आस्रम है कोई मिलै गुरू गुर नानक सो आपि तरै कुल सगल तराधो ॥२॥५॥११॥
There are four castes, four social classes, and four stages of life. Whoever meets the Guru, Guru Nanak, is himself carried across, and he carries all his ancestors and generations across as well. ||2||5||11||

Singing His Praises, sins are washed away.
ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਜਸੁ ਕਾਨ ॥

मति गुरमति सुनि जसु कान ॥
