तेरे जन धिआवहि इक मनि इक चिति ते साधू सुख पावहि जपि हरि हरि नामु निधान ॥
Your humble servants focus their consciousness and meditate on You with one-pointed mind; those Holy beings find peace, chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the Treasure of Bliss.

Ousathath Karehi Prabh Thaereeaa Mil Saadhhoo Saadhh Janaa Gur Sathiguroo Bhagavaan ||1||
उसतति करहि प्रभ तेरीआ मिलि साधू साध जना गुर सतिगुरू भगवान ॥१॥
They sing Your Praises, God, meeting with the Holy, the Holy people, and the Guru, the True Guru, O Lord God. ||1||
ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਤੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਫਲ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਤੇ ਤਰੇ ਭਵ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਤੇ ਭਗਤ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਨ ॥
Jin Kai Hiradhai Thoo Suaamee Thae Sukh Fal Paavehi Thae Tharae Bhav Sindhh Thae Bhagath Har Jaan ||
जिन कै हिरदै तू सुआमी ते सुख फल पावहि ते तरे भव सिंधु ते भगत हरि जान ॥
They alone obtain the fruit of peace, within whose hearts You, O my Lord and Master, abide. They cross over the terrifying world-ocean - they are known as the Lord's devotees.
ਤਿਨ ਸੇਵਾ ਹਮ ਲਾਇ ਹਰੇ ਹਮ ਲਾਇ ਹਰੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੨॥੬॥੧੨॥

सिमरत नामु मनहि साधारै ॥
Meditate in remembrance on the Naam, the Support of the mind.
ਕੋਟਿ ਪਰਾਧੀ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਤਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
Kott Paraadhhee Khin Mehi Thaarai ||1||
कोटि पराधी खिन महि तारै ॥१॥
Millions of sinners are carried across in an instant. ||1||
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਚੀਤਿ ਆਵੈ ਗੁਰੁ ਅਪਨਾ ॥
Jaa Ko Cheeth Aavai Gur Apanaa ||
जा कउ चीति आवै गुरु अपना ॥
Whoever remembers his Guru,
ਤਾ ਕਉ ਦੂਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਤਿਲੁ ਸੁਪਨਾ ॥੨॥
Thaa Ko Dhookh Nehee Thil Supanaa ||2||
ता कउ दूखु नही तिलु सुपना ॥२॥
Shall not suffer sorrow, even in dreams. ||2||
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਰਾਖੈ ॥
Jaa Ko Sathigur Apanaa Raakhai ||
जा कउ सतिगुरु अपना राखै ॥
Whoever keeps his Guru enshrined within
ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਚਾਖੈ ॥੩॥
So Jan Har Ras Rasanaa Chaakhai ||3||
सो जनु हरि रसु रसना चाखै ॥३॥
- that humble being tastes the sublime essence of the Lord with his tongue. ||3||
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਮਇਆ ॥

कहु नानक गुरि कीनी मइआ ॥
Says Nanak, the Guru has been Kind to me;
ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਭਇਆ ॥੪॥੧॥

ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਸੋਵਤ ਜਾਗਤ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਨੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Oothath Baithath Sovath Jaagath Saas Saas Saas Har Japanae ||1|| Rehaao ||
ऊठत बैठत सोवत जागत सासि सासि सासि हरि जपने ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Standing up and sitting down, while sleeping and awake, with each and every breath, I meditate on the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਤਾ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਬਸਿਓ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
Thaa Kai Hiradhai Basiou Naam ||
ता कै हिरदै बसिओ नामु ॥
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, abides within the hearts of those,
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੀਨੋ ਦਾਨੁ ॥੧॥
Jaa Ko Suaamee Keeno Dhaan ||1||
जा कउ सुआमी कीनो दानु ॥१॥
Whose Lord and Master blesses them with this gift. ||1||
ਤਾ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਆਈ ਸਾਂਤਿ ॥

ता कै हिरदै आई सांति ॥
Peace and tranquility come into the hearts of those
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਭੇਟੇ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਾਂਤਿ ॥੨॥
Thaakur Bhaettae Gur Bachanaanth ||2||
ठाकुर भेटे गुर बचनांति ॥२॥
Who meet their Lord and Master, through the Word of the Guru. ||2||
ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ਸੋਈ ਪਰਬੀਨ ॥
Sarab Kalaa Soee Parabeen ||
सरब कला सोई परबीन ॥
Those whom the Guru blesses with the Mantra of the Naam

अनिक भांति करि दुआरु न पावउ ॥
The Door to the Lord cannot be found by any other means.
ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਤ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵਉ ॥੧॥
Hoe Kirapaal Th Har Har Dhhiaavo ||1||
होइ क्रिपालु त हरि हरि धिआवउ ॥१॥
When He becomes Merciful, we come to meditate on the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||
ਕੋਟਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਹ ਨ ਸੋਧਾ ॥
Kott Karam Kar Dhaeh N Sodhhaa ||
कोटि करम करि देह न सोधा ॥
The body is not purified by millions of rituals.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਹਿ ਮਨੁ ਪਰਬੋਧਾ ॥੨॥
Saadhhasangath Mehi Man Parabodhhaa ||2||
साधसंगति महि मनु परबोधा ॥२॥
The mind is awakened and enlightened only in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||2||
ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਨ ਬੂਝੀ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
Thrisan N Boojhee Bahu Rang Maaeiaa ||
त्रिसन न बूझी बहु रंग माइआ ॥
Thirst and desire are not quenched by enjoying the many pleasures of Maya.
ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਤ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
Naam Laith Sarab Sukh Paaeiaa ||3||
नामु लैत सरब सुख पाइआ ॥३॥
Chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, total peace is found. ||3||
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜਬ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲ ॥

पारब्रहम जब भए दइआल ॥
When the Supreme Lord God becomes Merciful,
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਉ ਛੂਟੇ ਜੰਜਾਲ ॥੪॥੩॥

कहु नानक तउ छूटे जंजाल ॥४॥३॥

Ttehal Santhan Kee Sang Saadhhoo Kaa Har Naamaan Jap Param Gathae ||1|| Rehaao ||
टहल संतन की संगु साधू का हरि नामां जपि परम गते ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
To work for the Saints, and the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. Chanting the Name of the Lord, the supreme status is obtained. ||1||Pause||
ਪੂਜਾ ਚਰਨਾ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸਰਨਾ ॥
Poojaa Charanaa Thaakur Saranaa ||
पूजा चरना ठाकुर सरना ॥
Worship the Feet of Your Lord and Master, and seek His Sanctuary.
ਸੋਈ ਕੁਸਲੁ ਜੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀਉ ਕਰਨਾ ॥੧॥

सोई कुसलु जु प्रभ जीउ करना ॥१॥
Take joy in whatever God does. ||1||
