ਰਤਨੁ ਲੁਕਾਇਆ ਲੂਕੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਜੇ ਕੋ ਰਖੈ ਲੁਕਾਈ ॥੪॥
Rathan Lukaaeiaa Lookai Naahee Jae Ko Rakhai Lukaaee ||4||
रतनु लुकाइआ लूकै नाही जे को रखै लुकाई ॥४॥
The jewel is concealed, but it is not concealed, even though one may try to conceal it. ||4||
ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਤੂ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥
Sabh Kishh Thaeraa Thoo Antharajaamee Thoo Sabhanaa Kaa Prabh Soee ||
सभु किछु तेरा तू अंतरजामी तू सभना का प्रभु सोई ॥
Everything is Yours, O Inner-knower, Searcher of hearts; You are the Lord God of all.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਦਾਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੫॥੯॥
Jis No Dhaath Karehi So Paaeae Jan Naanak Avar N Koee ||5||9||
जिस नो दाति करहि सो पाए जन नानक अवरु न कोई ॥५॥९॥
He alone receives the gift, unto whom You give it; O servant Nanak, there is no one else. ||5||9||

Kis Ho Jaachee Kis Aaraadhhee Jaa Sabh Ko Keethaa Hosee ||
किसु हउ जाची किस आराधी जा सभु को कीता होसी ॥
Who should I ask? Who should I worship? All were created by Him.
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਵਡਾ ਵਡੇਰਾ ਸੋ ਸੋ ਖਾਕੂ ਰਲਸੀ ॥
Jo Jo Dheesai Vaddaa Vaddaeraa So So Khaakoo Ralasee ||
जो जो दीसै वडा वडेरा सो सो खाकू रलसी ॥
Whoever appears to be the greatest of the great, shall ultimately be mixed with the dust.
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ਭਵ ਖੰਡਨੁ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਦੇਸੀ ॥੧॥
Nirabho Nirankaar Bhav Khanddan Sabh Sukh Nav Nidhh Dhaesee ||1||
निरभउ निरंकारु भव खंडनु सभि सुख नव निधि देसी ॥१॥
The Fearless, Formless Lord, the Destroyer of Fear bestows all comforts, and the nine treasures. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਤੀ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
Har Jeeo Thaeree Dhaathee Raajaa ||
हरि जीउ तेरी दाती राजा ॥
O Dear Lord, Your gifts alone satisfy me.
ਮਾਣਸੁ ਬਪੁੜਾ ਕਿਆ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਕਿਆ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਮੁਹਤਾਜਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Maanas Bapurraa Kiaa Saalaahee Kiaa This Kaa Muhathaajaa || Rehaao ||
माणसु बपुड़ा किआ सालाही किआ तिस का मुहताजा ॥ रहाउ ॥
Why should I praise the poor helpless man? Why should I feel subservient to him? ||Pause||
ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਭੂਖ ਗਵਾਈ ॥
Jin Har Dhhiaaeiaa Sabh Kishh This Kaa This Kee Bhookh Gavaaee ||
जिनि हरि धिआइआ सभु किछु तिस का तिस की भूख गवाई ॥
All things come to one who meditates on the Lord; the Lord satisfies his hunger.
ਐਸਾ ਧਨੁ ਦੀਆ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੈ ਨਿਖੁਟਿ ਨ ਕਬ ਹੀ ਜਾਈ ॥
Aisaa Dhhan Dheeaa Sukhadhaathai Nikhutt N Kab Hee Jaaee ||
ऐसा धनु दीआ सुखदातै निखुटि न कब ही जाई ॥
The Lord, the Giver of peace, bestows such wealth, that it can never be exhausted.
ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥੨॥
Anadh Bhaeiaa Sukh Sehaj Samaanae Sathigur Mael Milaaee ||2||
अनदु भइआ सुख सहजि समाणे सतिगुरि मेलि मिलाई ॥२॥
I am in ecstasy, absorbed in celestial peace; the True Guru has united me in His Union. ||2||
ਮਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਰਾਧਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥
Man Naam Jap Naam Aaraadhh Anadhin Naam Vakhaanee ||
मन नामु जपि नामु आराधि अनदिनु नामु वखाणी ॥
O mind, chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord; worship the Naam, night and day, and recite the Naam.
ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਤਨ ਕਾ ਸਭ ਚੂਕੀ ਕਾਣਿ ਜਮਾਣੀ ॥
Oupadhaes Sun Saadhh Santhan Kaa Sabh Chookee Kaan Jamaanee ||
उपदेसु सुणि साध संतन का सभ चूकी काणि जमाणी ॥
Listen to the Teachings of the Holy Saints, and all fear of death will be dispelled.
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੇ ਲਾਗੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥੩॥
Jin Ko Kirapaal Hoaa Prabh Maeraa Sae Laagae Gur Kee Baanee ||3||
जिन कउ क्रिपालु होआ प्रभु मेरा से लागे गुर की बाणी ॥३॥
Those blessed by God's Grace are attached to the Word of the Guru's Bani. ||3||
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਉਣੁ ਕਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਤੂ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
Keemath Koun Karai Prabh Thaeree Thoo Sarab Jeeaa Dhaeiaalaa ||
कीमति कउणु करै प्रभ तेरी तू सरब जीआ दइआला ॥
Who can estimate Your worth, God? You are kind and compassionate to all beings.
ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਵਰਤੈ ਕਿਆ ਹਮ ਬਾਲ ਗੁਪਾਲਾ ॥
Sabh Kishh Keethaa Thaeraa Varathai Kiaa Ham Baal Gupaalaa ||
सभु किछु कीता तेरा वरतै किआ हम बाल गुपाला ॥
Everything which You do, prevails; I am just a poor child - what can I do?

गुरु गोविंदु सलाहीऐ भाई मनि तनि हिरदै धार ॥
Praise the Guru, and the Lord of the Universe, O Siblings of Destiny; enshrine Him in your mind, body and heart.
ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਭਾਈ ਏਹਾ ਕਰਣੀ ਸਾਰ ॥
Saachaa Saahib Man Vasai Bhaaee Eaehaa Karanee Saar ||
साचा साहिबु मनि वसै भाई एहा करणी सार ॥
Let the True Lord and Master abide in your mind, O Siblings of Destiny; this is the most excellent way of life.
ਜਿਤੁ ਤਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਊਪਜੈ ਭਾਈ ਸੇ ਤਨ ਹੋਏ ਛਾਰ ॥
Jith Than Naam N Oopajai Bhaaee Sae Than Hoeae Shhaar ||
जितु तनि नामु न ऊपजै भाई से तन होए छार ॥
Those bodies, in which the Name of the Lord does not well up, O Siblings of Destiny - those bodies are reduced to ashes.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਉ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਭਾਈ ਜਿਨ ਏਕੰਕਾਰ ਅਧਾਰ ॥੧॥
Saadhhasangath Ko Vaariaa Bhaaee Jin Eaekankaar Adhhaar ||1||
साधसंगति कउ वारिआ भाई जिन एकंकार अधार ॥१॥
I am a sacrifice to the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, O Siblings of Destiny; they take the Support of the One and Only Lord. ||1||
ਸੋਈ ਸਚੁ ਅਰਾਧਣਾ ਭਾਈ ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
Soee Sach Araadhhanaa Bhaaee Jis Thae Sabh Kishh Hoe ||
सोई सचु अराधणा भाई जिस ते सभु किछु होइ ॥
So worship and adore that True Lord, O Siblings of Destiny; He alone does everything.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਜਾਣਾਇਆ ਭਾਈ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Gur Poorai Jaanaaeiaa Bhaaee This Bin Avar N Koe || Rehaao ||
गुरि पूरै जाणाइआ भाई तिसु बिनु अवरु न कोइ ॥ रहाउ ॥
The Perfect Guru has taught me, O Siblings of Destiny, that without Him, there is no other at all. ||Pause||
ਨਾਮ ਵਿਹੂਣੇ ਪਚਿ ਮੁਏ ਭਾਈ ਗਣਤ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਗਣੀ ॥
Naam Vihoonae Pach Mueae Bhaaee Ganath N Jaae Ganee ||
नाम विहूणे पचि मुए भाई गणत न जाइ गणी ॥
Without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, they putrefy and die, O Siblings of Destiny; their numbers cannot be counted.
ਵਿਣੁ ਸਚ ਸੋਚ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਭਾਈ ਸਾਚਾ ਅਗਮ ਧਣੀ ॥
Vin Sach Soch N Paaeeai Bhaaee Saachaa Agam Dhhanee ||
विणु सच सोच न पाईऐ भाई साचा अगम धणी ॥
Without Truth, purity cannot be achieved, O Siblings of Destiny; the Lord is true and unfathomable.
ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੁ ਨ ਚੁਕਈ ਭਾਈ ਝੂਠੀ ਦੁਨੀ ਮਣੀ ॥
Aavan Jaan N Chukee Bhaaee Jhoothee Dhunee Manee ||
आवण जाणु न चुकई भाई झूठी दुनी मणी ॥
Coming and going do not end, O Siblings of Destiny; pride in worldly valuables is false.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਉਧਾਰਦਾ ਭਾਈ ਦੇ ਨਾਵੈ ਏਕ ਕਣੀ ॥੨॥
Guramukh Kott Oudhhaaradhaa Bhaaee Dhae Naavai Eaek Kanee ||2||
गुरमुखि कोटि उधारदा भाई दे नावै एक कणी ॥२॥
The Gurmukh saves millions of people, O Siblings of Destiny, blessing them with even a particle of the Name. ||2||
ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ ਸੋਧਿਆ ਭਾਈ ਵਿਣੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਰਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
Sinmrith Saasath Sodhhiaa Bhaaee Vin Sathigur Bharam N Jaae ||
सिम्रिति सासत सोधिआ भाई विणु सतिगुर भरमु न जाइ ॥
I have searched through the Simritees and the Shaastras, O Siblings of Destiny - without the True Guru, doubt does not depart.
ਅਨਿਕ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਿ ਥਾਕਿਆ ਭਾਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਬੰਧਨ ਪਾਇ ॥
Anik Karam Kar Thhaakiaa Bhaaee Fir Fir Bandhhan Paae ||
अनिक करम करि थाकिआ भाई फिरि फिरि बंधन पाइ ॥
They are so tired of performing their many deeds, O Siblings of Destiny, but they fall into bondage again and again.
ਚਾਰੇ ਕੁੰਡਾ ਸੋਧੀਆ ਭਾਈ ਵਿਣੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥
Chaarae Kunddaa Sodhheeaa Bhaaee Vin Sathigur Naahee Jaae ||
चारे कुंडा सोधीआ भाई विणु सतिगुर नाही जाइ ॥
I have searched in the four directions, O Siblings of Destiny, but without the True Guru, there is no place at all.
