सुणि मीता धूरी कउ बलि जाई ॥
Listen, friends: I am a sacrifice to the dust of Your feet.
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Eihu Man Thaeraa Bhaaee || Rehaao ||
इहु मनु तेरा भाई ॥ रहाउ ॥
This mind is yours, O Siblings of Destiny. ||Pause||
ਪਾਵ ਮਲੋਵਾ ਮਲਿ ਮਲਿ ਧੋਵਾ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਤੈ ਕੂ ਦੇਸਾ ॥
Paav Malovaa Mal Mal Dhhovaa Eihu Man Thai Koo Dhaesaa ||
पाव मलोवा मलि मलि धोवा इहु मनु तै कू देसा ॥
I wash your feet, I massage and clean them; I give this mind to you.
ਸੁਣਿ ਮੀਤਾ ਹਉ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਆਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਉ ਦੇਹੁ ਉਪਦੇਸਾ ॥੨॥
Sun Meethaa Ho Thaeree Saranaaee Aaeiaa Prabh Milo Dhaehu Oupadhaesaa ||2||
सुणि मीता हउ तेरी सरणाई आइआ प्रभ मिलउ देहु उपदेसा ॥२॥
Listen, friends: I have come to Your Sanctuary; teach me, that I might unite with God. ||2||
ਮਾਨੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਰੀਜੈ ਕਰੈ ਸੁ ਭਲਾ ਮਨਾਈਐ ॥
Maan N Keejai Saran Pareejai Karai S Bhalaa Manaaeeai ||
मानु न कीजै सरणि परीजै करै सु भला मनाईऐ ॥
Do not be proud; seek His Sanctuary, and accept as good all that He does.
ਸੁਣਿ ਮੀਤਾ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਰਪੀਜੈ ਇਉ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੩॥
Sun Meethaa Jeeo Pindd Sabh Than Arapeejai Eio Dharasan Har Jeeo Paaeeai ||3||
सुणि मीता जीउ पिंडु सभु तनु अरपीजै इउ दरसनु हरि जीउ पाईऐ ॥३॥
Listen, friends: dedicate your soul, body and your whole being to Him; thus you shall receive the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. ||3||
ਭਇਓ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਹੈ ਮੀਠਾ ॥
Bhaeiou Anugrahu Prasaadh Santhan Kai Har Naamaa Hai Meethaa ||
भइओ अनुग्रहु प्रसादि संतन कै हरि नामा है मीठा ॥
He has shown mercy to me, by the Grace of the Saints; the Lord's Name is sweet to me.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਸਭੁ ਅਕੁਲ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਡੀਠਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੨॥
Jan Naanak Ko Gur Kirapaa Dhhaaree Sabh Akul Niranjan Ddeethaa ||4||1||12||
जन नानक कउ गुरि किरपा धारी सभु अकुल निरंजनु डीठा ॥४॥१॥१२॥
The Guru has shown mercy to servant Nanak; I see the casteless, immaculate Lord everywhere. ||4||1||12||

ਕੋਟਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਕੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਰੇ ॥
Kott Brehamandd Ko Thaakur Suaamee Sarab Jeeaa Kaa Dhaathaa Rae ||
कोटि ब्रहमंड को ठाकुरु सुआमी सरब जीआ का दाता रे ॥
God is the Lord and Master of millions of universes; He is the Giver of all beings.
ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੈ ਨਿਤ ਸਾਰਿ ਸਮਾਲੈ ਇਕੁ ਗੁਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਮੂਰਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਰੇ ॥੧॥
Prathipaalai Nith Saar Samaalai Eik Gun Nehee Moorakh Jaathaa Rae ||1||
प्रतिपालै नित सारि समालै इकु गुनु नही मूरखि जाता रे ॥१॥
He ever cherishes and cares for all beings, but the fool does not appreciate any of His virtues. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧਿ ਨ ਜਾਨਾ ਰੇ ॥
Har Aaraadhh N Jaanaa Rae ||
हरि आराधि न जाना रे ॥
I do not know how to worship the Lord in adoration.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਰੇ ॥
Har Har Gur Gur Karathaa Rae ||
हरि हरि गुरु गुरु करता रे ॥
I can only repeat, ""Lord, Lord, Guru, Guru.""
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਿਓ ਰਾਮਦਾਸੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Har Jeeo Naam Pariou Raamadhaas || Rehaao ||
हरि जीउ नामु परिओ रामदासु ॥ रहाउ ॥
O Dear Lord, I go by the name of the Lord's slave. ||Pause||
ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਸਰਬ ਘਟਾ ਭਰਪੂਰੀ ਰੇ ॥
Dheen Dhaeiaal Kirapaal Sukh Saagar Sarab Ghattaa Bharapooree Rae ||
दीन दइआल क्रिपाल सुख सागर सरब घटा भरपूरी रे ॥
The Compassionate Lord is Merciful to the meek, the ocean of peace; He fills all hearts.
ਪੇਖਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਸੰਗੇ ਮੈ ਮੂਰਖ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਦੂਰੀ ਰੇ ॥੨॥
Paekhath Sunath Sadhaa Hai Sangae Mai Moorakh Jaaniaa Dhooree Rae ||2||
पेखत सुनत सदा है संगे मै मूरख जानिआ दूरी रे ॥२॥
He sees, hears, and is always with me; but I am a fool, and I think that He is far away. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਬਿਅੰਤੁ ਹਉ ਮਿਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਵਰਨਉ ਕਿਆ ਜਾਨਾ ਹੋਇ ਕੈਸੋ ਰੇ ॥
Har Bianth Ho Mith Kar Varano Kiaa Jaanaa Hoe Kaiso Rae ||
हरि बिअंतु हउ मिति करि वरनउ किआ जाना होइ कैसो रे ॥
The Lord is limitless, but I can only describe Him within my limitations; what do I know, about what He is like?
ਕਰਉ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਮੈ ਮੂਰਖ ਦੇਹੁ ਉਪਦੇਸੋ ਰੇ ॥੩॥
Karo Baenathee Sathigur Apunae Mai Moorakh Dhaehu Oupadhaeso Rae ||3||
करउ बेनती सतिगुर अपुने मै मूरख देहु उपदेसो रे ॥३॥
I offer my prayer to my True Guru; I am so foolish - please, teach me! ||3||
ਮੈ ਮੂਰਖ ਕੀ ਕੇਤਕ ਬਾਤ ਹੈ ਕੋਟਿ ਪਰਾਧੀ ਤਰਿਆ ਰੇ ॥
Mai Moorakh Kee Kaethak Baath Hai Kott Paraadhhee Thariaa Rae ||
मै मूरख की केतक बात है कोटि पराधी तरिआ रे ॥
I am just a fool, but millions of sinners just like me have been saved.
ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਿਨ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਪੇਖਿਆ ਸੇ ਫਿਰਿ ਗਰਭਾਸਿ ਨ ਪਰਿਆ ਰੇ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੩॥
Gur Naanak Jin Suniaa Paekhiaa Sae Fir Garabhaas N Pariaa Rae ||4||2||13||
गुरु नानकु जिन सुणिआ पेखिआ से फिरि गरभासि न परिआ रे ॥४॥२॥१३॥
Those who have heard, and seen Guru Nanak, do not descend into the womb of reincarnation again. ||4||2||13||

ਜਿਨਾ ਬਾਤ ਕੋ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਅੰਦੇਸਰੋ ਤੇ ਮਿਟੇ ਸਭਿ ਗਇਆ ॥
Jinaa Baath Ko Bahuth Andhaesaro Thae Mittae Sabh Gaeiaa ||
जिना बात को बहुतु अंदेसरो ते मिटे सभि गइआ ॥
Those things, which caused me such anxiety, have all vanished.
ਸਹਜ ਸੈਨ ਅਰੁ ਸੁਖਮਨ ਨਾਰੀ ਊਧ ਕਮਲ ਬਿਗਸਇਆ ॥੧॥
Sehaj Sain Ar Sukhaman Naaree Oodhh Kamal Bigasaeiaa ||1||
सहज सैन अरु सुखमन नारी ऊध कमल बिगसइआ ॥१॥
Now, I sleep in peace and tranquility, and my mind is in a state of deep and profound peace; the inverted lotus of my heart has blossomed forth. ||1||
ਦੇਖਹੁ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਭਇਆ ॥
Dhaekhahu Acharaj Bhaeiaa ||
देखहु अचरजु भइआ ॥
Behold, a wondrous miracle has happened!
ਜਿਹ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਉ ਸੁਨਤ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧਿ ਸੋ ਰਿਦੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਦਇਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jih Thaakur Ko Sunath Agaadhh Bodhh So Ridhai Gur Dhaeiaa || Rehaao ||
जिह ठाकुर कउ सुनत अगाधि बोधि सो रिदै गुरि दइआ ॥ रहाउ ॥
That Lord and Master, whose wisdom is said to be unfathomable, has been enshrined within my heart, by the Guru. ||Pause||
ਜੋਇ ਦੂਤ ਮੋਹਿ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਸੰਤਾਵਤ ਤੇ ਭਇਆਨਕ ਭਇਆ ॥
Joe Dhooth Mohi Bahuth Santhaavath Thae Bhaeiaanak Bhaeiaa ||
जोइ दूत मोहि बहुतु संतावत ते भइआनक भइआ ॥
The demons which tormented me so much, have themselves become terrified.
ਕਰਹਿ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਰਾਖੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਤੇ ਹਮ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨਇਆ ॥੨॥
Karehi Baenathee Raakh Thaakur Thae Ham Thaeree Saranaeiaa ||2||
करहि बेनती राखु ठाकुर ते हम तेरी सरनइआ ॥२॥
They pray: please, save us from your Lord Master; we seek your protection. ||2||
ਜਹ ਭੰਡਾਰੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਕਾ ਖੁਲਿਆ ਜਿਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਤਿਹ ਲਇਆ ॥
Jeh Bhanddaar Gobindh Kaa Khuliaa Jih Praapath Thih Laeiaa ||
जह भंडारु गोबिंद का खुलिआ जिह प्रापति तिह लइआ ॥
When the treasure of the Lord of the Universe is opened, those who are pre-destined, receive it.
ਏਕੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਥਿਆ ॥੩॥
Eaek Rathan Mo Ko Gur Dheenaa Maeraa Man Than Seethal Thhiaa ||3||
एकु रतनु मो कउ गुरि दीना मेरा मनु तनु सीतलु थिआ ॥३॥
The Guru has given me the one jewel, and my mind and body have become peaceful and tranquil. ||3||
ਏਕ ਬੂੰਦ ਗੁਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਦੀਨੋ ਤਾ ਅਟਲੁ ਅਮਰੁ ਨ ਮੁਆ ॥
Eaek Boondh Gur Anmrith Dheeno Thaa Attal Amar N Muaa ||
एक बूंद गुरि अम्रितु दीनो ता अटलु अमरु न मुआ ॥
The Guru has blessed me with the one drop of Ambrosial Nectar, and so I have become stable, unmoving and immortal - I shall not die.
ਭਗਤਿ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਸਉਪੇ ਫਿਰਿ ਲੇਖਾ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਲਇਆ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੪॥
Bhagath Bhanddaar Gur Naanak Ko Soupae Fir Laekhaa Mool N Laeiaa ||4||3||14||
भगति भंडार गुरि नानक कउ सउपे फिरि लेखा मूलि न लइआ ॥४॥३॥१४॥
The Lord blessed Guru Nanak with the treasure of devotional worship, and did not call him to account again. ||4||3||14||

Charan Kamal Sio Jaa Kaa Man Leenaa Sae Jan Thripath Aghaaee ||
चरन कमल सिउ जा का मनु लीना से जन त्रिपति अघाई ॥
Those whose minds are attached to the lotus feet of the Lord - those humble beings are satisfied and fulfilled.
ਗੁਣ ਅਮੋਲ ਜਿਸੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਨ ਵਸਿਆ ਤੇ ਨਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਖਾਈ ॥੧॥
Gun Amol Jis Ridhai N Vasiaa Thae Nar Thrisan Thrikhaaee ||1||
गुण अमोल जिसु रिदै न वसिआ ते नर त्रिसन त्रिखाई ॥१॥
But those, within whose hearts the priceless virtue does not abide - those men remain thirsty and unsatisfied. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧੇ ਅਰੋਗ ਅਨਦਾਈ ॥
Har Aaraadhhae Arog Anadhaaee ||
हरि आराधे अरोग अनदाई ॥
Worshipping the Lord in adoration, one becomes happy, and free of disease.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਰਾਮ ਸਨੇਹੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਲਾਖ ਬੇਦਨ ਜਣੁ ਆਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jis No Visarai Maeraa Raam Sanaehee This Laakh Baedhan Jan Aaee || Rehaao ||
जिस नो विसरै मेरा राम सनेही तिसु लाख बेदन जणु आई ॥ रहाउ ॥
But one who forgets my Dear Lord - know him to be afflicted with tens of thousands of illnesses. ||Pause||
