Ab Mai Sukh Paaeiou Gur Aagiy ||
अब मै सुखु पाइओ गुर आग्यि ॥
Now, I have found peace, bowing before the Guru.
ਤਜੀ ਸਿਆਨਪ ਚਿੰਤ ਵਿਸਾਰੀ ਅਹੰ ਛੋਡਿਓ ਹੈ ਤਿਆਗ੍ਯ੍ਯਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

तजी सिआनप चिंत विसारी अहं छोडिओ है तिआग्यि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I have abandoned cleverness, quieted my anxiety, and renounced my egotism. ||1||Pause||
ਜਉ ਦੇਖਉ ਤਉ ਸਗਲ ਮੋਹਿ ਮੋਹੀਅਉ ਤਉ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਗੁਰ ਭਾਗਿ ॥
Jo Dhaekho Tho Sagal Mohi Moheeao Tho Saran Pariou Gur Bhaag ||
जउ देखउ तउ सगल मोहि मोहीअउ तउ सरनि परिओ गुर भागि ॥
When I looked, I saw that everyone was enticed by emotional attachment; then, I hurried to the Guru's Sanctuary.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਟਹਲ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਇਓ ਤਉ ਜਮਿ ਛੋਡੀ ਮੋਰੀ ਲਾਗਿ ॥੧॥
Kar Kirapaa Ttehal Har Laaeiou Tho Jam Shhoddee Moree Laag ||1||
करि किरपा टहल हरि लाइओ तउ जमि छोडी मोरी लागि ॥१॥
In His Grace, the Guru engaged me in the Lord's service, and then, the Messenger of Death gave up pursuing me. ||1||
ਤਰਿਓ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਪਾਵਕ ਕੋ ਜਉ ਸੰਤ ਭੇਟੇ ਵਡ ਭਾਗਿ ॥
Thariou Saagar Paavak Ko Jo Santh Bhaettae Vadd Bhaag ||
तरिओ सागरु पावक को जउ संत भेटे वड भागि ॥
I swam across the ocean of fire, when I met the Saints, through great good fortune.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ਮੋਰੋ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਗਿ ॥੨॥੧॥੫॥

जन नानक सरब सुख पाए मोरो हरि चरनी चितु लागि ॥२॥१॥५॥
O servant Nanak, I have found total peace; my consciousness is attached to the Lord's feet. ||2||1||5||

ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਰਾ ॥
Man Mehi Sathigur Dhhiaan Dhharaa ||
मन महि सतिगुर धिआनु धरा ॥
Within my mind, I cherish and meditate on the True Guru.
ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਿਓ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀਉ ਮਇਆ ਕਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Dhrirrihou Giaan Manthra Har Naamaa Prabh Jeeo Maeiaa Karaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
द्रिड़्हिओ गिआनु मंत्रु हरि नामा प्रभ जीउ मइआ करा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
He has implanted within me spiritual wisdom and the Mantra of the Lord's Name; Dear God has shown mercy to me. ||1||Pause||
ਕਾਲ ਜਾਲ ਅਰੁ ਮਹਾ ਜੰਜਾਲਾ ਛੁਟਕੇ ਜਮਹਿ ਡਰਾ ॥
Kaal Jaal Ar Mehaa Janjaalaa Shhuttakae Jamehi Ddaraa ||
काल जाल अरु महा जंजाला छुटके जमहि डरा ॥
Death's noose and its mighty entanglements have vanished, along with the fear of death.
ਆਇਓ ਦੁਖ ਹਰਣ ਸਰਣ ਕਰੁਣਾਪਤਿ ਗਹਿਓ ਚਰਣ ਆਸਰਾ ॥੧॥
Aaeiou Dhukh Haran Saran Karunaapath Gehiou Charan Aasaraa ||1||
आइओ दुख हरण सरण करुणापति गहिओ चरण आसरा ॥१॥
I have come to the Sanctuary of the Merciful Lord, the Destroyer of pain; I am holding tight to the Support of His feet. ||1||
ਨਾਵ ਰੂਪ ਭਇਓ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ਭਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਾ ॥
Naav Roop Bhaeiou Saadhhasang Bhav Nidhh Paar Paraa ||
नाव रूप भइओ साधसंगु भव निधि पारि परा ॥
The Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, has assumed the form of a boat, to cross over the terrifying world-ocean.
ਅਪਿਉ ਪੀਓ ਗਤੁ ਥੀਓ ਭਰਮਾ ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਜਰੁ ਜਰਾ ॥੨॥੨॥੬॥
Apio Peeou Gath Thheeou Bharamaa Kahu Naanak Ajar Jaraa ||2||2||6||
अपिउ पीओ गतु थीओ भरमा कहु नानक अजरु जरा ॥२॥२॥६॥
I drink in the Ambrosial Nectar, and my doubts are shattered; says Nanak, I can bear the unbearable. ||2||2||6||

ਜਾ ਕਉ ਭਏ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਸਹਾਈ ॥

जा कउ भए गोविंद सहाई ॥
One who has the Lord of the Universe as his help and support
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਸਗਲ ਸਿਉ ਵਾ ਕਉ ਬਿਆਧਿ ਨ ਕਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sookh Sehaj Aanandh Sagal Sio Vaa Ko Biaadhh N Kaaee ||1|| Rehaao ||
सूख सहज आनंद सगल सिउ वा कउ बिआधि न काई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Is blessed with all peace, poise and bliss; no afflictions cling to him. ||1||Pause||
ਦੀਸਹਿ ਸਭ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਹਹਿ ਅਲੇਪਾ ਨਹ ਵਿਆਪੈ ਉਨ ਮਾਈ ॥
Dheesehi Sabh Sang Rehehi Alaepaa Neh Viaapai Oun Maaee ||
दीसहि सभ संगि रहहि अलेपा नह विआपै उन माई ॥
He appears to keep company with everyone, but he remains detached, and Maya does not cling to him.
ਏਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਤਤ ਕੇ ਬੇਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਬੁਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥
Eaekai Rang Thath Kae Baethae Sathigur Thae Budhh Paaee ||1||
एकै रंगि तत के बेते सतिगुर ते बुधि पाई ॥१॥
He is absorbed in love of the One Lord; he understands the essence of reality, and he is blessed with wisdom by the True Guru. ||1||
ਦਇਆ ਮਇਆ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਈ ਸੰਤ ਸੁਭਾਈ ॥
Dhaeiaa Maeiaa Kirapaa Thaakur Kee Saeee Santh Subhaaee ||
दइआ मइआ किरपा ठाकुर की सेई संत सुभाई ॥
Those whom the Lord and Master blesses with His kindness, compassion and mercy are the sublime and sanctified Saints.
ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਸਤਰੀਐ ਜਿਨ ਰਸਿ ਰਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਈ ॥੨॥੩॥੭॥
Thin Kai Sang Naanak Nisathareeai Jin Ras Ras Har Gun Gaaee ||2||3||7||
तिन कै संगि नानक निसतरीऐ जिन रसि रसि हरि गुन गाई ॥२॥३॥७॥
Associating with them, Nanak is saved; with love and exuberant joy, they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||2||3||7||

गोबिंद जीवन प्रान धन रूप ॥
The Lord of the Universe is my existence, my breath of life, wealth and beauty.
ਅਗਿਆਨ ਮੋਹ ਮਗਨ ਮਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਅੰਧਿਆਰੇ ਮਹਿ ਦੀਪ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Agiaan Moh Magan Mehaa Praanee Andhhiaarae Mehi Dheep ||1|| Rehaao ||
अगिआन मोह मगन महा प्रानी अंधिआरे महि दीप ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The ignorant are totally intoxicated with emotional attachment; in this darkness, the Lord is the only lamp. ||1||Pause||
ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਆਨੂਪ ॥
Safal Dharasan Thumaraa Prabh Preetham Charan Kamal Aanoop ||
सफल दरसनु तुमरा प्रभ प्रीतम चरन कमल आनूप ॥
Fruitful is the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, O Beloved God; Your lotus feet are incomparably beautiful!
ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਰ ਕਰਉ ਤਿਹ ਬੰਦਨ ਮਨਹਿ ਚਰ੍ਹਾਵਉ ਧੂਪ ॥੧॥
Anik Baar Karo Thih Bandhan Manehi Charhaavo Dhhoop ||1||
अनिक बार करउ तिह बंदन मनहि चर्हावउ धूप ॥१॥
So many times, I bow in reverence to Him, offering my mind as incense to Him. ||1||
ਹਾਰਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ੍ਹੁ ਕਰਿ ਗਹੀ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੀ ਲੂਕ ॥
Haar Pariou Thumharai Prabh Dhuaarai Dhrirrha Kar Gehee Thumhaaree Look ||
हारि परिओ तुम्हरै प्रभ दुआरै द्रिड़्हु करि गही तुम्हारी लूक ॥
Exhausted, I have fallen at Your Door, O God; I am holding tight to Your Support.
ਕਾਢਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਉ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਪਾਵਕ ਕੇ ਕੂਪ ॥੨॥੪॥੮॥
Kaadt Laehu Naanak Apunae Ko Sansaar Paavak Kae Koop ||2||4||8||
काढि लेहु नानक अपुने कउ संसार पावक के कूप ॥२॥४॥८॥
Please, lift Your humble servant Nanak up, out of the pit of fire of the world. ||2||4||8||

कोई जनु हरि सिउ देवै जोरि ॥
If only someone would unite me with the Lord!
ਚਰਨ ਗਹਉ ਬਕਉ ਸੁਭ ਰਸਨਾ ਦੀਜਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਕੋਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Charan Geho Bako Subh Rasanaa Dheejehi Praan Akor ||1|| Rehaao ||
चरन गहउ बकउ सुभ रसना दीजहि प्रान अकोरि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I hold tight to His feet, and utter sweet words with my tongue; I make my breath of life an offering to Him. ||1||Pause||
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਕਰਤ ਕਿਆਰੋ ਹਰਿ ਸਿੰਚੈ ਸੁਧਾ ਸੰਜੋਰਿ ॥
Man Than Niramal Karath Kiaaro Har Sinchai Sudhhaa Sanjor ||
मनु तनु निरमल करत किआरो हरि सिंचै सुधा संजोरि ॥
I make my mind and body into pure little gardens, and irrigate them with the sublime essence of the Lord.
ਇਆ ਰਸ ਮਹਿ ਮਗਨੁ ਹੋਤ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਤੋਰਿ ॥੧॥
Eiaa Ras Mehi Magan Hoth Kirapaa Thae Mehaa Bikhiaa Thae Thor ||1||
इआ रस महि मगनु होत किरपा ते महा बिखिआ ते तोरि ॥१॥
I am drenched with this sublime essence by His Grace, and the powerful hold of Maya's corruption has been broken. ||1||
ਆਇਓ ਸਰਣਿ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਚਿਤਵਉ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰੀ ਓਰਿ ॥

आइओ सरणि दीन दुख भंजन चितवउ तुम्हरी ओरि ॥
I have come to Your Sanctuary, O Destroyer of the suffering of the innocent; I keep my consciousness focused on You.
