Guramukh Path Sio Laekhaa Nibarrai Bakhasae Sifath Bhanddaar ||
गुरमुखि पति सिउ लेखा निबड़ै बखसे सिफति भंडार ॥
The Gurmukh's account is settled with honor; the Lord blesses him with the treasure of His Praise.
ਓਥੈ ਹਥੁ ਨ ਅਪੜੈ ਕੂਕ ਨ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਪੁਕਾਰ ॥

ओथै हथु न अपड़ै कूक न सुणीऐ पुकार ॥
No one's hands can reach there; no one will hear anyone's cries.
ਓਥੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਬੇਲੀ ਹੋਵੈ ਕਢਿ ਲਏ ਅੰਤੀ ਵਾਰ ॥
Outhhai Sathigur Baelee Hovai Kadt Leae Anthee Vaar ||
ओथै सतिगुरु बेली होवै कढि लए अंती वार ॥
The True Guru will be your best friend there; at the very last instant, He will save you.
ਏਨਾ ਜੰਤਾ ਨੋ ਹੋਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਹੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਕਰਤਾਰ ॥੬॥
Eaenaa Janthaa No Hor Saevaa Nehee Sathigur Sir Karathaar ||6||
एना जंता नो होर सेवा नही सतिगुरु सिरि करतार ॥६॥
These beings should serve no other than the True Guru or the Creator Lord above the heads of all. ||6||

ਬਾਬੀਹਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਤੂ ਪੂਕਾਰਦਾ ਤਿਸ ਨੋ ਲੋਚੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
Baabeehaa Jis No Thoo Pookaaradhaa This No Lochai Sabh Koe ||
बाबीहा जिस नो तू पूकारदा तिस नो लोचै सभु कोइ ॥
O rainbird, the One unto whom you call - everyone longs for that Lord.
ਅਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਵਸਸੀ ਵਣੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਣੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਇ ॥
Apanee Kirapaa Kar Kai Vasasee Van Thrin Hariaa Hoe ||
अपणी किरपा करि कै वससी वणु त्रिणु हरिआ होइ ॥
When He grants His Grace, it rains, and the forests and fields blossom forth in their greenery.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਬੂਝੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
Gur Parasaadhee Paaeeai Viralaa Boojhai Koe ||
गुर परसादी पाईऐ विरला बूझै कोइ ॥
By Guru's Grace, He is found; only a rare few understand this.
ਬਹਦਿਆ ਉਠਦਿਆ ਨਿਤ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
Behadhiaa Outhadhiaa Nith Dhhiaaeeai Sadhaa Sadhaa Sukh Hoe ||
बहदिआ उठदिआ नित धिआईऐ सदा सदा सुखु होइ ॥
Sitting down and standing up, meditate continually on Him, and be at peace forever and ever.
ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਵਰਸਦਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਦੇਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥
Naanak Anmrith Sadh Hee Varasadhaa Guramukh Dhaevai Har Soe ||1||
नानक अम्रितु सद ही वरसदा गुरमुखि देवै हरि सोइ ॥१॥
O Nanak, the Ambrosial Nectar rains down forever; the Lord gives it to the Gurmukh. ||1||

कलमलि होई मेदनी अरदासि करे लिव लाइ ॥
When the people of the world are suffering in pain, they call upon the Lord in loving prayer.
ਸਚੈ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕੰਨੁ ਦੇ ਧੀਰਕ ਦੇਵੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥
Sachai Suniaa Kann Dhae Dhheerak Dhaevai Sehaj Subhaae ||
सचै सुणिआ कंनु दे धीरक देवै सहजि सुभाइ ॥
The True Lord naturally listens and hears and gives comfort.
ਇੰਦ੍ਰੈ ਨੋ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ ਵੁਠਾ ਛਹਬਰ ਲਾਇ ॥
Eindhrai No Furamaaeiaa Vuthaa Shhehabar Laae ||
इंद्रै नो फुरमाइआ वुठा छहबर लाइ ॥
He commands the god of rain, and the rain pours down in torrents.
ਅਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਉਪਜੈ ਬਹੁ ਘਣਾ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
An Dhhan Oupajai Bahu Ghanaa Keemath Kehan N Jaae ||
अनु धनु उपजै बहु घणा कीमति कहणु न जाइ ॥
Corn and wealth are produced in great abundance and prosperity; their value cannot be estimated.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹਿ ਤੂ ਸਭਨਾ ਜੀਆ ਦੇਦਾ ਰਿਜਕੁ ਸੰਬਾਹਿ ॥
Naanak Naam Salaahi Thoo Sabhanaa Jeeaa Dhaedhaa Rijak Sanbaahi ||
नानक नामु सलाहि तू सभना जीआ देदा रिजकु स्मबाहि ॥
O Nanak, praise the Naam, the Name of the Lord; He reaches out and gives sustenance to all beings.
ਜਿਤੁ ਖਾਧੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਊਪਜੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਆਇ ॥੨॥
Jith Khaadhhai Sukh Oopajai Fir Dhookh N Laagai Aae ||2||
जितु खाधै सुखु ऊपजै फिरि दूखु न लागै आइ ॥२॥
Eating this, peace is produced, and the mortal never again suffers in pain. ||2||

हरि जीउ सचा सचु तू सचे लैहि मिलाइ ॥
O Dear Lord, You are the Truest of the True. You blend those who are truthful into Your Own Being.
ਦੂਜੈ ਦੂਜੀ ਤਰਫ ਹੈ ਕੂੜਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਨ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥
Dhoojai Dhoojee Tharaf Hai Koorr Milai N Miliaa Jaae ||
दूजै दूजी तरफ है कूड़ि मिलै न मिलिआ जाइ ॥
Those caught in duality are on the side of duality; entrenched in falsehood, they cannot merge into the Lord.
ਆਪੇ ਜੋੜਿ ਵਿਛੋੜਿਐ ਆਪੇ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਦੇਇ ਦਿਖਾਇ ॥
Aapae Jorr Vishhorriai Aapae Kudharath Dhaee Dhikhaae ||
आपे जोड़ि विछोड़िऐ आपे कुदरति देइ दिखाइ ॥
You Yourself unite, and You Yourself separate; You display Your Creative Omnipotence.
ਮੋਹੁ ਸੋਗੁ ਵਿਜੋਗੁ ਹੈ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
Mohu Sog Vijog Hai Poorab Likhiaa Kamaae ||
मोहु सोगु विजोगु है पूरबि लिखिआ कमाइ ॥
Attachment brings the sorrow of separation; the mortal acts in accordance with pre-ordained destiny.
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣੀ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
Ho Balihaaree Thin Ko Jo Har Charanee Rehai Liv Laae ||
हउ बलिहारी तिन कउ जो हरि चरणी रहै लिव लाइ ॥
I am a sacrifice to those who remain lovingly attached to the Lord's Feet.
ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਮਹਿ ਕਮਲੁ ਅਲਿਪਤੁ ਹੈ ਐਸੀ ਬਣਤ ਬਣਾਇ ॥
Jio Jal Mehi Kamal Alipath Hai Aisee Banath Banaae ||
जिउ जल महि कमलु अलिपतु है ऐसी बणत बणाइ ॥
They are like the lotus which remains detached, floating upon the water.
ਸੇ ਸੁਖੀਏ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇ ॥
Sae Sukheeeae Sadhaa Sohanae Jinh Vichahu Aap Gavaae ||
से सुखीए सदा सोहणे जिन्ह विचहु आपु गवाइ ॥
They are peaceful and beautiful forever; they eradicate self-conceit from within.
ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਸੋਗੁ ਵਿਜੋਗੁ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਅੰਕਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੭॥
Thinh Sog Vijog Kadhae Nehee Jo Har Kai Ank Samaae ||7||
तिन्ह सोगु विजोगु कदे नही जो हरि कै अंकि समाइ ॥७॥
They never suffer sorrow or separation; they are merged in the Being of the Lord. ||7||

Naanak So Saalaaheeai Jis Vas Sabh Kishh Hoe ||
नानक सो सालाहीऐ जिसु वसि सभु किछु होइ ॥
O Nanak, praise the Lord; everything is in His power.
ਤਿਸੈ ਸਰੇਵਿਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਹੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
Thisai Saraevihu Praaneeho This Bin Avar N Koe ||
तिसै सरेविहु प्राणीहो तिसु बिनु अवरु न कोइ ॥
Serve Him, O mortal beings; there is none other than Him.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
Guramukh Har Prabh Man Vasai Thaan Sadhaa Sadhaa Sukh Hoe ||
गुरमुखि हरि प्रभु मनि वसै तां सदा सदा सुखु होइ ॥
The Lord God abides within the mind of the Gurmukh, and then he is at peace, forever and ever.
ਸਹਸਾ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਸਭ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
Sehasaa Mool N Hovee Sabh Chinthaa Vichahu Jaae ||
सहसा मूलि न होवई सभ चिंता विचहु जाइ ॥
He is never cynical; all anxiety has been taken out from within him.
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਸਹਜੇ ਹੋਇ ਕਹਣਾ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
Jo Kishh Hoe S Sehajae Hoe Kehanaa Kishhoo N Jaae ||
जो किछु होइ सु सहजे होइ कहणा किछू न जाइ ॥
Whatever happens, happens naturally; no one has any say about it.
ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਾਂ ਮਨਿ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇ ॥
Sachaa Saahib Man Vasai Thaan Man Chindhiaa Fal Paae ||
सचा साहिबु मनि वसै तां मनि चिंदिआ फलु पाइ ॥
When the True Lord abides in the mind, then the mind's desires are fulfilled.
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਆਖਿਆ ਆਪਿ ਸੁਣੇ ਜਿ ਲਇਅਨੁ ਪੰਨੈ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥
Naanak Thin Kaa Aakhiaa Aap Sunae J Laeian Pannai Paae ||1||
नानक तिन का आखिआ आपि सुणे जि लइअनु पंनै पाइ ॥१॥
O Nanak, He Himself hears the words of those, whose accounts are in His Hands. ||1||

अम्रितु सदा वरसदा बूझनि बूझणहार ॥
The Ambrosial Nectar rains down continually; realize this through realization.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਬੁਝਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਰਖਿਆ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
Guramukh Jinhee Bujhiaa Har Anmrith Rakhiaa Our Dhhaar ||
गुरमुखि जिन्ही बुझिआ हरि अम्रितु रखिआ उरि धारि ॥
Those who, as Gurmukh, realize this, keep the Lord's Ambrosial Nectar enshrined within their hearts.
ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਹਿ ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਮਾਰਿ ॥
Har Anmrith Peevehi Sadhaa Rang Raathae Houmai Thrisanaa Maar ||
हरि अम्रितु पीवहि सदा रंगि राते हउमै त्रिसना मारि ॥
They drink in the Lord's Ambrosial Nectar, and remain forever imbued with the Lord; they conquer egotism and thirsty desires.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਵਰਸੈ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
Anmrith Har Kaa Naam Hai Varasai Kirapaa Dhhaar ||
अम्रितु हरि का नामु है वरसै किरपा धारि ॥
The Name of the Lord is Ambrosial Nectar; the Lord showers His Grace, and it rains down.
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਦਰੀ ਆਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
Naanak Guramukh Nadharee Aaeiaa Har Aatham Raam Muraar ||2||
नानक गुरमुखि नदरी आइआ हरि आतम रामु मुरारि ॥२॥
O Nanak, the Gurmukh comes to behold the Lord, the Supreme Soul. ||2||
