ਸਾਧ ਸਰਨਿ ਚਰਨ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥

साध सरनि चरन चितु लाइआ ॥
In the Sanctuary of the Holy, I focus my consciousness on the Lord's Feet.
ਸੁਪਨ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਸੁਨੀ ਪੇਖੀ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Supan Kee Baath Sunee Paekhee Supanaa Naam Manthra Sathiguroo Dhrirraaeiaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
सुपन की बात सुनी पेखी सुपना नाम मंत्रु सतिगुरू द्रिड़ाइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
When I was dreaming, I heard and saw only dream-objects. The True Guru has implanted the Mantra of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within me. ||1||Pause||
ਨਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਨੋ ਰਾਜ ਜੋਬਨਿ ਧਨਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਧਾਇਆ ॥
Neh Thripathaano Raaj Joban Dhhan Bahur Bahur Fir Dhhaaeiaa ||
नह त्रिपतानो राज जोबनि धनि बहुरि बहुरि फिरि धाइआ ॥
Power, youth and wealth do not bring satisfaction; people chase after them again and again.
ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਸਭ ਬੁਝੀ ਹੈ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਪਾਈ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
Sukh Paaeiaa Thrisanaa Sabh Bujhee Hai Saanth Paaee Gun Gaaeiaa ||1||
सुखु पाइआ त्रिसना सभ बुझी है सांति पाई गुन गाइआ ॥१॥
I have found peace and tranquility, and all my thirsty desires have been quenched, singing His Glorious Praises. ||1||
ਬਿਨੁ ਬੂਝੇ ਪਸੂ ਕੀ ਨਿਆਈ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਬਿਆਪਿਓ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
Bin Boojhae Pasoo Kee Niaaee Bhram Mohi Biaapiou Maaeiaa ||
बिनु बूझे पसू की निआई भ्रमि मोहि बिआपिओ माइआ ॥
Without understanding, they are like beasts, engrossed in doubt, emotional attachment and Maya.

Saadhhasang Jam Jaevaree Kaattee Naanak Sehaj Samaaeiaa ||2||10||
साधसंगि जम जेवरी काटी नानक सहजि समाइआ ॥२॥१०॥
But in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the noose of Death is cut, O Nanak, and one intuitively merges in celestial peace. ||2||10||

हरि के चरन हिरदै गाइ ॥
Sing of the Lord's Feet within your heart.
ਸੀਤਲਾ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਿਤ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Seethalaa Sukh Saanth Moorath Simar Simar Nith Dhhiaae ||1|| Rehaao ||
सीतला सुख सांति मूरति सिमरि सिमरि नित धिआइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Meditate, meditate in constant remembrance on God, the Embodiment of soothing peace and cooling tranquility. ||1||Pause||
ਸਗਲ ਆਸ ਹੋਤ ਪੂਰਨ ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨਮ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
Sagal Aas Hoth Pooran Kott Janam Dhukh Jaae ||1||
सगल आस होत पूरन कोटि जनम दुखु जाइ ॥१॥
All your hopes shall be fulfilled, and the pain of millions of deaths and births shall be gone. ||1||
ਪੁੰਨ ਦਾਨ ਅਨੇਕ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥
Punn Dhaan Anaek Kiriaa Saadhhoo Sang Samaae ||
पुंन दान अनेक किरिआ साधू संगि समाइ ॥
Immerse yourself in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and you shall obtain the benefits of giving charitable gifts, and all sorts of good deeds.
ਤਾਪ ਸੰਤਾਪ ਮਿਟੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਾਹੁੜਿ ਕਾਲੁ ਨ ਖਾਇ ॥੨॥੧੧॥
Thaap Santhaap Mittae Naanak Baahurr Kaal N Khaae ||2||11||
ताप संताप मिटे नानक बाहुड़ि कालु न खाइ ॥२॥११॥
Sorrow and suffering shall be erased, O Nanak, and you shall never again be devoured by death. ||2||11||

Aavath Jaath Rehae Sram Naasae Simarath Saadhhoo Sang ||
आवत जात रहे स्रम नासे सिमरत साधू संगि ॥
One's comings and goings in reincarnation cease, and suffering is dispelled, meditating in remembrance in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਹੋਹਿ ਖਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੧॥
Pathith Puneeth Hohi Khin Bheethar Paarabreham Kai Rang ||1||
पतित पुनीत होहि खिन भीतरि पारब्रहम कै रंगि ॥१॥
Sinners are sanctified in an instant, in the love of the Supreme Lord God. ||1||
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਕਥੈ ਸੁਨੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਸ ॥
Jo Jo Kathhai Sunai Har Keerathan Thaa Kee Dhuramath Naas ||
जो जो कथै सुनै हरि कीरतनु ता की दुरमति नास ॥
Whoever speaks and listens to the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises is rid of evil-mindedness.
ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪਾਵੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਵੈ ਆਸ ॥੨॥੧॥੧੨॥

The Treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is found in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਜੀਅ ਕੈ ਕਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

It is the Companion of the soul, its Helper and Support. ||1||Pause||

संत रेनु निति मजनु करै ॥
Continually bathing in the dust of the feet of the Saints,
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਹਰੈ ॥੧॥
Janam Janam Kae Kilabikh Harai ||1||
जनम जनम के किलबिख हरै ॥१॥
The sins of countless incarnations are washed away. ||1||
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਊਚੀ ਬਾਨੀ ॥

संत जना की ऊची बानी ॥
The words of the humble Saints are lofty and exalted.

O Holy people, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Haray.
ਮਾਨ ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Maan Than Dhhan Praan Prabh Kae Simarath Dhukh Jaae ||1|| Rehaao ||
मान तनु धनु प्रान प्रभ के सिमरत दुखु जाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Mind, body, wealth and the breath of life - all come from God; remembering Him in meditation, pain is taken away. ||1||Pause||
ਈਤ ਊਤ ਕਹਾ ਲਭਾਵਹਿ ਏਕ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਇ ॥੧॥
Eeth Ooth Kehaa Luobhaavehi Eaek Sio Man Laae ||1||
ईत ऊत कहा लोभावहि एक सिउ मनु लाइ ॥१॥
Why are you entangled in this and that? Let your mind be attuned to the One. ||1||
ਮਹਾ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਤ ਆਸਨੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਗੋਬਿਦੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੨॥
Mehaa Pavithr Santh Aasan Mil Sang Gobidh Dhhiaae ||2||
महा पवित्र संत आसनु मिलि संगि गोबिदु धिआइ ॥२॥
The place of the Saints is utterly sacred; meet with them, and meditate on the Lord of the Universe. ||2||

सगल तिआगि सरनि आइओ नानक लेहु मिलाइ ॥३॥३॥१४॥
O Nanak, I have abandoned everything and come to Your Sanctuary. Please let me merge with You. ||3||3||14||

Gazing upon and beholding my Best Friend, I blossom forth in bliss; my God is the One and Only. ||1||Pause||
