घटि घटि पूरि रहे सुख सागर भै भंजन मेरे प्रान ॥
He is pervading and permeating each and every heart; He is the Ocean of Peace, the Destroyer of fear. He is my praanaa - the Breath of Life.

मनहि प्रगासु भइओ भ्रमु नासिओ मंत्रु दीओ गुर कान ॥१॥
My mind was enlightened, and my doubt was dispelled, when the Guru whispered His Mantra into my ears. ||1||

करत रहे क्रतग्य करुणा मै अंतरजामी िग्यान ॥
He is All-powerful, the Ocean of Mercy, the All-knowing Searcher of Hearts.

Many speak and talk about God.
ਐਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਬਿਰਲੋ ਹੈ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਜੋ ਤਤ ਜੋਗ ਕਉ ਬੇਤੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Aiso Jan Biralo Hai Saevak Jo Thath Jog Ko Baethai ||1|| Rehaao ||
ऐसो जनु बिरलो है सेवकु जो तत जोग कउ बेतै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
But one who understands the essence of Yoga - such a humble servant is very rare||1||Pause||
ਦੁਖੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਭੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਰੇ ਏਕੈ ਏਕੀ ਨੇਤੈ ॥
Dhukh Naahee Sabh Sukh Hee Hai Rae Eaekai Eaekee Naethai ||
दुखु नाही सभु सुखु ही है रे एकै एकी नेतै ॥
He has no pain - he is totally at peace. With his eyes, he sees only the One Lord.
ਬੁਰਾ ਨਹੀ ਸਭੁ ਭਲਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਰੇ ਹਾਰ ਨਹੀ ਸਭ ਜੇਤੈ ॥੧॥
Buraa Nehee Sabh Bhalaa Hee Hai Rae Haar Nehee Sabh Jaethai ||1||
बुरा नही सभु भला ही है रे हार नही सभ जेतै ॥१॥
No one seems evil to him - all are good. There is no defeat - he is totally victorious. ||1||
ਸੋਗੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਖੀ ਹੈ ਰੇ ਛੋਡਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਲੇਤੈ ॥
Sog Naahee Sadhaa Harakhee Hai Rae Shhodd Naahee Kishh Laethai ||
सोगु नाही सदा हरखी है रे छोडि नाही किछु लेतै ॥
He is never in sorrow - he is always happy; but he gives this up, and does not take anything.

तन मन गलत भए तिह संगे मोहनी मोहि रही मोरी माइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
My body and mind are blended with Him, but the Enticer, Maya, is enticing me, O my mother. ||1||Pause||
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਪਹਿ ਕਹਉ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਹਉ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਤੇਊ ਤੇਊ ਗਹੇ ਰਹੇ ਅਟਕਾਇ ॥
Jai Jai Pehi Keho Brithhaa Ho Apunee Thaeoo Thaeoo Gehae Rehae Attakaae ||
जै जै पहि कहउ ब्रिथा हउ अपुनी तेऊ तेऊ गहे रहे अटकाइ ॥
Those unto whom I tell my pain and frustration - they themselves are caught and stuck.
ਅਨਿਕ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਕੀ ਏਕੈ ਜਾਲੀ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਗੰਠਿ ਨਹੀ ਛੋਰਾਇ ॥੧॥
Anik Bhaanth Kee Eaekai Jaalee Thaa Kee Ganth Nehee Shhoraae ||1||
अनिक भांति की एकै जाली ता की गंठि नही छोराइ ॥१॥
In all sorts of ways, Maya has cast the net; the knots cannot be loosened. ||1||

फिरत फिरत नानक दासु आइओ संतन ही सरनाइ ॥
Wandering and roaming, slave Nanak has come to the Sanctuary of the Saints.
ਕਾਟੇ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਭਰਮ ਮੋਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਲੀਓ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਗਾਇ ॥੨॥੪॥੨੩॥

काटे अगिआन भरम मोह माइआ लीओ कंठि लगाइ ॥२॥४॥२३॥
The bonds of ignorance, doubt, emotional attachment and the love of Maya have been cut; God hugs me close in His Embrace. ||2||4||23||

नामो गिआनु नामु इसनाना हरि नामु हमारे कारज सवारै ॥
The Naam is spiritual wisdom, the Naam is my purifying bath. The Naam resolves all my affairs.
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੋ ਸੋਭਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਬਡਾਈ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਤਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
Har Naamo Sobhaa Naam Baddaaee Bhoujal Bikham Naam Har Thaarai ||1||
हरि नामो सोभा नामु बडाई भउजलु बिखमु नामु हरि तारै ॥१॥
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is glorious grandeur; the Naam is glorious greatness. The Name of the Lord carries me across the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||
ਅਗਮ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਲਾਲ ਅਮੋਲਾ ਭਇਓ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨਾਰੈ ॥

अगम पदारथ लाल अमोला भइओ परापति गुर चरनारै ॥
The Unfathomable Treasure, the Priceless Gem - I have received it, through the Guru's Feet.

Paekhath Sunath Sabhan Kai Sangae Thhorai Kaaj Buro Keh Faero ||1|| Rehaao ||
पेखत सुनत सभन कै संगे थोरै काज बुरो कह फेरो ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
He sees and hears everything; He is with everyone. You are here for such short time - why do you do evil? ||1||Pause||
ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਜੇਤੋ ਲਪਟਾਇਓ ਕਛੂ ਨਹੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਛੁ ਤੇਰੋ ॥
Naam Binaa Jaetho Lapattaaeiou Kashhoo Nehee Naahee Kashh Thaero ||
नाम बिना जेतो लपटाइओ कछू नही नाही कछु तेरो ॥
Except for the Naam, whatever you are involved with is nothing - nothing is yours.
ਆਗੈ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਆਵਤ ਸਭ ਪਰਗਟ ਈਹਾ ਮੋਹਿਓ ਭਰਮ ਅੰਧੇਰੋ ॥੧॥
Aagai Dhrisatt Aavath Sabh Paragatt Eehaa Mohiou Bharam Andhhaero ||1||
आगै द्रिसटि आवत सभ परगट ईहा मोहिओ भरम अंधेरो ॥१॥
Hereafter, everything is revealed to your gaze; but in this world, all are enticed by the darkness of doubt. ||1||
ਅਟਕਿਓ ਸੁਤ ਬਨਿਤਾ ਸੰਗ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇਵਨਹਾਰੁ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ਬਿਸੇਰੋ ॥
Attakiou Suth Banithaa Sang Maaeiaa Dhaevanehaar Dhaathaar Bisaero ||
अटकिओ सुत बनिता संग माइआ देवनहारु दातारु बिसेरो ॥
People are caught in Maya, attached to their children and spouses. They have forgotten the Great and Generous Giver.
