ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਜੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਗੇ ॥
Prabh Keejai Kirapaa Nidhhaan Ham Har Gun Gaavehagae ||
प्रभ कीजै क्रिपा निधान हम हरि गुन गावहगे ॥
O God, Treasure of Mercy, please bless me, that I may sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਹਉ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਕਰਉ ਨਿਤ ਆਸ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਬ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Ho Thumaree Karo Nith Aas Prabh Mohi Kab Gal Laavehigae ||1|| Rehaao ||
हउ तुमरी करउ नित आस प्रभ मोहि कब गलि लावहिगे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I always place my hopes in You; O God, when will you take me in Your Embrace? ||1||Pause||
ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਮੁਗਧ ਇਆਨ ਪਿਤਾ ਸਮਝਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
Ham Baarik Mugadhh Eiaan Pithaa Samajhaavehigae ||
हम बारिक मुगध इआन पिता समझावहिगे ॥
I am a foolish and ignorant child; Father, please teach me!
ਸੁਤੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਭੂਲਿ ਬਿਗਾਰਿ ਜਗਤ ਪਿਤ ਭਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧॥
Suth Khin Khin Bhool Bigaar Jagath Pith Bhaavehigae ||1||
सुतु खिनु खिनु भूलि बिगारि जगत पित भावहिगे ॥१॥
Your child makes mistakes again and again, but still, You are pleased with him, O Father of the Universe. ||1||
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੁਮ ਦੇਹੁ ਸੋਈ ਹਮ ਪਾਵਹਗੇ ॥
Jo Har Suaamee Thum Dhaehu Soee Ham Paavehagae ||
जो हरि सुआमी तुम देहु सोई हम पावहगे ॥
Whatever You give me, O my Lord and Master - that is what I receive.
ਮੋਹਿ ਦੂਜੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਠਉਰ ਜਿਸੁ ਪਹਿ ਹਮ ਜਾਵਹਗੇ ॥੨॥
Mohi Dhoojee Naahee Thour Jis Pehi Ham Jaavehagae ||2||
मोहि दूजी नाही ठउर जिसु पहि हम जावहगे ॥२॥
There is no other place where I can go. ||2||
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵਹਿ ਭਗਤ ਤਿਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
Jo Har Bhaavehi Bhagath Thinaa Har Bhaavehigae ||
जो हरि भावहि भगत तिना हरि भावहिगे ॥
Those devotees who are pleasing to the Lord - the Lord is pleasing to them.
ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਜੋਤਿ ਰਲਿ ਜਾਵਹਗੇ ॥੩॥
Jothee Joth Milaae Joth Ral Jaavehagae ||3||
जोती जोति मिलाइ जोति रलि जावहगे ॥३॥
Their light merges into the Light; the lights are merged and blended together. ||3||
ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਆਪਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
Har Aapae Hoe Kirapaal Aap Liv Laavehigae ||
हरि आपे होइ क्रिपालु आपि लिव लावहिगे ॥
The Lord Himself has shown mercy; He lovingly attunes me to Himself.
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਰਨਿ ਦੁਆਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਜ ਰਖਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੪॥੬॥ ਛਕਾ ੧ ॥
Jan Naanak Saran Dhuaar Har Laaj Rakhaavehigae ||4||6||
जनु नानकु सरनि दुआरि हरि लाज रखावहिगे ॥४॥६॥ छका १ ॥
Servant Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of the Door of the Lord, who protects his honor. ||4||6||

Dheen Dhaeiaal Jagadhees Dhamodhar Har Antharajaamee Gobindhae ||
दीन दइआल जगदीस दमोदर हरि अंतरजामी गोबिंदे ॥
Merciful to the meek and poor, Lord of the world, Support of the earth, Inner-knower, Searcher of hearts, Lord of the Universe.
ਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਜਿਨ ਸ੍ਰੀਰਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੁਕੰਦੇ ॥੧॥
Thae Nirabho Jin Sreeraam Dhhiaaeiaa Guramath Muraar Har Mukandhae ||1||
ते निरभउ जिन स्रीरामु धिआइआ गुरमति मुरारि हरि मुकंदे ॥१॥
Those who meditate on the Supreme Lord become fearless. Through the Wisdom of the Guru's Teachings, they meditate on the Lord, the Liberator Lord. ||1||
ਜਗਦੀਸੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨ ਜੋ ਆਏ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਭਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੇ ॥
Jagadheesur Charan Saran Jo Aaeae Thae Jan Bhav Nidhh Paar Parae ||
जगदीसुर चरन सरन जो आए ते जन भव निधि पारि परे ॥
Those who come to Sanctuary at the Feet of the Lord of the Universe - those humble beings cross over the terrifying world-ocean.
ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥੨॥੧॥੭॥

Aan Jalaa Sio Kaaj N Kashhooai Har Boondh Chaathrik Ko Dheejai ||1||
आन जला सिउ काजु न कछूऐ हरि बूंद चात्रिक कउ दीजै ॥१॥
I am not concerned with any other water; please bless this songbird with a Drop of Your Water, Lord. ||1||
ਬਿਨੁ ਮਿਲਬੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੰਤੋਖਾ ਪੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜੀਜੈ ॥੨॥੧॥
Bin Milabae Naahee Santhokhaa Paekh Dharasan Naanak Jeejai ||2||1||
बिनु मिलबे नाही संतोखा पेखि दरसनु नानकु जीजै ॥२॥१॥
Unless I meet my Lord, I am not satisfied. Nanak lives, gazing upon the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. ||2||1||

This beggar begs and begs for Your Name, Lord.
ਸਰਬ ਧਾਰ ਸਰਬ ਕੇ ਨਾਇਕ ਸੁਖ ਸਮੂਹ ਕੇ ਦਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sarab Dhhaar Sarab Kae Naaeik Sukh Samooh Kae Dhaathae ||1|| Rehaao ||
सरब धार सरब के नाइक सुख समूह के दाते ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
You are the Support of all, the Master of all, the Giver of absolute peace. ||1||Pause||
ਕੇਤੀ ਕੇਤੀ ਮਾਂਗਨਿ ਮਾਗੈ ਭਾਵਨੀਆ ਸੋ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੧॥
Kaethee Kaethee Maangan Maagai Bhaavaneeaa So Paaeeai ||1||
केती केती मांगनि मागै भावनीआ सो पाईऐ ॥१॥
So many, so very many, beg for charity at Your Door; they receive only what You are pleased to give. ||1||
ਸਫਲ ਸਫਲ ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸੁ ਰੇ ਪਰਸਿ ਪਰਸਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਈਐ ॥

सफल सफल सफल दरसु रे परसि परसि गुन गाईऐ ॥
Fruitful, fruitful, fruitful is the Blessed Vision of His Darshan; touching His Touch, I sing His Glorious Praises.
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਤ ਤਤ ਸਿਉ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਹੀਰੈ ਹੀਰੁ ਬਿਧਾਈਐ ॥੨॥੨॥
Naanak Thath Thath Sio Mileeai Heerai Heer Bidhhaaeeai ||2||2||
नानक तत तत सिउ मिलीऐ हीरै हीरु बिधाईऐ ॥२॥२॥
O Nanak, one's essence is blended into the Essence; the diamond of the mind is pierced through by the Diamond of the Lord. ||2||2||
