ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਆਘਾਏ ਸੰਤਾ ॥
Thripath Aaghaaeae Santhaa ||
त्रिपति आघाए संता ॥
The Saints are fulfilled and satisfied;
ਗੁਰ ਜਾਨੇ ਜਿਨ ਮੰਤਾ ॥
Gur Jaanae Jin Manthaa ||
गुर जाने जिन मंता ॥
They know the Guru's Mantra and the Teachings.
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਹਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
Thaa Kee Kishh Kehan N Jaaee ||
ता की किछु कहनु न जाई ॥
They cannot even be described;
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਨਾਮ ਬਡਾਈ ॥੧॥
Jaa Ko Naam Baddaaee ||1||
जा कउ नाम बडाई ॥१॥
They are blessed with the glorious greatness of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਲਾਲੁ ਅਮੋਲਾ ਲਾਲੋ ॥
Laal Amolaa Laalo ||
लालु अमोला लालो ॥
My Beloved is a priceless jewel.
ਅਗਹ ਅਤੋਲਾ ਨਾਮੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

अगह अतोला नामो ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
His Name is unattainable and immeasurable. ||1||Pause||
ਅਵਿਗਤ ਸਿਉ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਮਾਨੋ ॥
Avigath Sio Maaniaa Maano ||
अविगत सिउ मानिआ मानो ॥
One whose mind is satisfied believing in the imperishable Lord God,
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਤਤੁ ਗਿਆਨੋ ॥
Guramukh Thath Giaano ||
गुरमुखि ततु गिआनो ॥
Becomes Gurmukh and attains the essence of spiritual wisdom.
ਪੇਖਤ ਸਗਲ ਧਿਆਨੋ ॥
Paekhath Sagal Dhhiaano ||
पेखत सगल धिआनो ॥
He sees all in his meditation.
ਤਜਿਓ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੋ ॥੨॥
Thajiou Man Thae Abhimaano ||2||
तजिओ मन ते अभिमानो ॥२॥
He banishes egotistical pride from his mind. ||2||
ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਠਾਣਾ ॥
Nihachal Thin Kaa Thaanaa ||
निहचलु तिन का ठाणा ॥
Permanent is the place of those
ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਛਾਣਾ ॥
Gur Thae Mehal Pashhaanaa ||
गुर ते महलु पछाणा ॥
Who, through the Guru, realize the Mansion of the Lord's Presence.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਜਾਗੇ ॥
Anadhin Gur Mil Jaagae ||
अनदिनु गुर मिलि जागे ॥
Meeting the Guru, they remain awake and aware night and day;
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਗੇ ॥੩॥
Har Kee Saevaa Laagae ||3||
हरि की सेवा लागे ॥३॥
They are committed to the Lord's service. ||3||
ਪੂਰਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਏ ॥
Pooran Thripath Aghaaeae ||
पूरन त्रिपति अघाए ॥
They are perfectly fulfilled and satisfied,
ਸਹਜ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥
Sehaj Samaadhh Subhaaeae ||
सहज समाधि सुभाए ॥
Intuitively absorbed in Samaadhi.
ਹਰਿ ਭੰਡਾਰੁ ਹਾਥਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
Har Bhanddaar Haathh Aaeiaa ||
हरि भंडारु हाथि आइआ ॥
The Lord's treasure comes into their hands;
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੭॥੨੩॥

छोडि सगल सिआणपा मिलि साध तिआगि गुमानु ॥
Abandon all your clever tricks; meet with the Holy, and renounce your egotistical pride.
ਅਵਰੁ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਰਸਨਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਵਖਾਨੁ ॥੧॥
Avar Sabh Kishh Mithhiaa Rasanaa Raam Raam Vakhaan ||1||
अवरु सभु किछु मिथिआ रसना राम राम वखानु ॥१॥
Everything else is false; with your tongue, chant the Name of the Lord, Raam, Raam. ||1||

मिटहि अघ तेरे जनम जनम के कवनु बपुरो जामु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The sins of your many past lifetimes shall be washed away; then, what can the wretched Messenger of Death do to you? ||1||Pause||

दूख दीन न भउ बिआपै मिलै सुख बिस्रामु ॥
Pain, poverty and fear shall not afflict you, and you shall find peace and pleasure.

जिनी नामु विसारिआ से होत देखे खेह ॥
Those who have forgotten the Naam, the Name of the Lord - I have seen them reduced to dust.
ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਬਿਲਾਸ ਬਨਿਤਾ ਤੂਟਤੇ ਏ ਨੇਹ ॥੧॥
Puthr Mithr Bilaas Banithaa Thoottathae Eae Naeh ||1||
पुत्र मित्र बिलास बनिता तूटते ए नेह ॥१॥
The love of children and friends, and the pleasures of married life are torn apart. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਲੇਹ ॥

मेरे मन नामु नित नित लेह ॥
O my mind, continually, continuously chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਜਲਤ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਗਨਿ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੂਖੁ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਦੇਹ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jalath Naahee Agan Saagar Sookh Man Than Dhaeh ||1|| Rehaao ||
जलत नाही अगनि सागर सूखु मनि तनि देह ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
You shall not burn in the ocean of fire, and your mind and body shall be blessed with peace. ||1||Pause||
ਬਿਰਖ ਛਾਇਆ ਜੈਸੇ ਬਿਨਸਤ ਪਵਨ ਝੂਲਤ ਮੇਹ ॥
Birakh Shhaaeiaa Jaisae Binasath Pavan Jhoolath Maeh ||
बिरख छाइआ जैसे बिनसत पवन झूलत मेह ॥
Like the shade of a tree, these things shall pass away, like the clouds blown away by the wind.
ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਦ੍ਰਿੜੁ ਮਿਲੁ ਸਾਧ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੈ ਕਾਮਿ ਆਵਤ ਏਹ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੫॥
Har Bhagath Dhrirr Mil Saadhh Naanak Thaerai Kaam Aavath Eaeh ||2||2||25||
हरि भगति द्रिड़ु मिलु साध नानक तेरै कामि आवत एह ॥२॥२॥२५॥
Meeting with the Holy, devotional worship to the Lord is implanted within; O Nanak, only this shall work for you. ||2||2||25||

ਮਰੈ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਬਿਆਪਤ ਉਸਨ ਨ ਸੀਤ ॥੧॥

मरै न आवै न जाइ बिनसै बिआपत उसन न सीत ॥१॥
He does not die, and he does not come or go in reincarnation. He does not perish, and He is not affected by heat or cold. ||1||

चेति मन महि हरि हरि निधाना एह निरमल रीति ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
