Ab Jeea Jaan Aisee Ban Aaee ||
अब जीअ जानि ऐसी बनि आई ॥
Now, I know within my soul, that such an arrangement has been made;
ਮਿਲਉ ਗੁਪਾਲ ਨੀਸਾਨੁ ਬਜਾਈ ॥੩॥

Anyone can praise or slander me.

ਕਬਹੂ ਖੀਰਿ ਖਾਡ ਘੀਉ ਨ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
Kabehoo Kheer Khaadd Gheeo N Bhaavai ||
कबहू खीरि खाड घीउ न भावै ॥
Sometimes, people do not appreciate milk, sugar and ghee.
ਕਬਹੂ ਘਰ ਘਰ ਟੂਕ ਮਗਾਵੈ ॥
Kabehoo Ghar Ghar Ttook Magaavai ||
कबहू घर घर टूक मगावै ॥
Sometimes, they have to beg for bread from door to door.
ਕਬਹੂ ਕੂਰਨੁ ਚਨੇ ਬਿਨਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
Kabehoo Kooran Chanae Binaavai ||1||
कबहू कूरनु चने बिनावै ॥१॥
Sometimes, they have to pick out the grain from the chaff. ||1||
ਜਿਉ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਹੀਐ ਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥
Jio Raam Raakhai Thio Reheeai Rae Bhaaee ||
जिउ रामु राखै तिउ रहीऐ रे भाई ॥
As the Lord keeps us, so do we live, O Siblings of Destiny.

Sometimes, people prance around on horses.

कबहू पाइ पनहीओ न पावै ॥२॥
Sometimes, they do not even have shoes for their feet. ||2||
ਕਬਹੂ ਖਾਟ ਸੁਪੇਦੀ ਸੁਵਾਵੈ ॥
Kabehoo Khaatt Supaedhee Suvaavai ||
कबहू खाट सुपेदी सुवावै ॥
Sometimes, people sleep on cozy beds with white sheets.
ਕਬਹੂ ਭੂਮਿ ਪੈਆਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
Kabehoo Bhoom Paiaar N Paavai ||3||
कबहू भूमि पैआरु न पावै ॥३॥
Sometimes, they do not even have straw to put down on the ground. ||3||
ਭਨਤਿ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਇਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੈ ॥
Bhanath Naamadhaeo Eik Naam Nisathaarai ||
भनति नामदेउ इकु नामु निसतारै ॥
Naam Dayv prays, only the Naam, the Name of the Lord, can save us.

हसत खेलत तेरे देहुरे आइआ ॥
Laughing and playing, I came to Your Temple, O Lord.
ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਤ ਨਾਮਾ ਪਕਰਿ ਉਠਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

भगति करत नामा पकरि उठाइआ ॥१॥
While Naam Dayv was worshipping, he was grabbed and driven out. ||1||

हीनड़ी जाति मेरी जादिम राइआ ॥
I am of a low social class, O Lord;

And the thirsty person is obsessed with water,

And as the fool is attached to his family

लोभी नरु धन का हितकारी ॥
And the greedy man who loves only wealth,
ਕਾਮੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਾਮਨੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥
Kaamee Purakh Kaamanee Piaaree ||
कामी पुरख कामनी पिआरी ॥
And the sexually promiscuous man who loves women and sex,
ਐਸੀ ਨਾਮੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥੨॥

ऐसी नामे प्रीति मुरारी ॥२॥

But that alone is real love, which the Lord Himself inspires;

By Guru's Grace, duality is eradicated.

कबहु न तूटसि रहिआ समाइ ॥
Such love never breaks; through it, the mortal remains merged in the Lord.
