My True Guru is my home and court.

सतिगुर कै हउ सद बलि जाइआ ॥

One who serves the Guru is not afflicted with fear.
ਜਿਨਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਨ ਸੰਤਾਪੈ ॥

जिनि गुरु सेविआ तिसु दुखु न संतापै ॥
One who serves the Guru does not suffer in pain.

Repeating the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the mortal is exalted and glorified.
ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਤ ਪਾਪੁ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਗਇਆ ॥
Naam Laith Paap Than Thae Gaeiaa ||
नामु लैत पापु तन ते गइआ ॥
Repeating the Naam, sin is banished from the body.
ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਤ ਸਗਲ ਪੁਰਬਾਇਆ ॥
Naam Laith Sagal Purabaaeiaa ||
नामु लैत सगल पुरबाइआ ॥
Repeating the Naam, all festivals are celebrated.

नामु लैत अति मूड़ सुगिआना ॥
Repeating the Naam, the most ignorant people become spiritual teachers.

Repeating the Naam, one's bonds are broken. ||2||

नामु लैत जमु नेड़ि न आवै ॥
Repeating the Naam, the Messenger of Death does not draw near.
ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਤ ਦਰਗਹ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥

नामु लैत दरगह सुखु पावै ॥
Repeating the Naam, one finds peace in the Court of the Lord.

Repeating the Naam, God gives His Approval.

नामु हमारी साची रासि ॥३॥
The Naam is my true wealth. ||3||
ਗੁਰਿ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਕਹਿਓ ਇਹੁ ਸਾਰੁ ॥

गुरि उपदेसु कहिओ इहु सारु ॥
The Guru has instructed me in these sublime teachings.
ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਮਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥
Har Keerath Man Naam Adhhaar ||
हरि कीरति मन नामु अधारु ॥
The Kirtan of the Lord's Praises and the Naam are the Support of the mind.
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਧਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਪੁਨਹਚਾਰ ॥
Naanak Oudhharae Naam Punehachaar ||
नानक उधरे नाम पुनहचार ॥
Nanak is saved through the atonement of the Naam.

I bow in humble worship, tens of thousands of times.
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਦੀਜੈ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਵਾਰਿ ॥
Eihu Man Dheejai Thaa Ko Vaar ||
इहु मनु दीजै ता कउ वारि ॥
I offer this mind as a sacrifice.
ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਸੰਤਾਪ ॥
Simaran Thaa Kai Mittehi Santhaap ||
सिमरनि ता कै मिटहि संताप ॥
Meditating in remembrance on Him, sufferings are erased.
ਹੋਇ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਨ ਵਿਆਪਹਿ ਤਾਪ ॥੧॥

होइ अनंदु न विआपहि ताप ॥१॥
Bliss wells up, and no disease is contracted. ||1||

Such is the diamond, the Immaculate Naam, the Name of the Lord.

जा की द्रिसटि दुख डेरा ढहै ॥
Beholding Him, the house of pain is demolished.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਮਨਿ ਗਹੈ ॥

अम्रित नामु सीतलु मनि गहै ॥
The mind seizes the cooling, soothing, Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam.

अनिक भगत जा के चरन पूजारी ॥
Millions of devotees worship His Feet.

सगल मनोरथ पूरनहारी ॥२॥
He is the Fulfiller of all the mind's desires. ||2||
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਊਣੇ ਸੁਭਰ ਭਰਿਆ ॥
Khin Mehi Oonae Subhar Bhariaa ||
खिन महि ऊणे सुभर भरिआ ॥
In an instant, He fills the empty to over-flowing.
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਸੂਕੇ ਕੀਨੇ ਹਰਿਆ ॥
Khin Mehi Sookae Keenae Hariaa ||
खिन महि सूके कीने हरिआ ॥
In an instant, He transforms the dry into green.
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਨਿਥਾਵੇ ਕਉ ਦੀਨੋ ਥਾਨੁ ॥
Khin Mehi Nithhaavae Ko Dheeno Thhaan ||
खिन महि निथावे कउ दीनो थानु ॥
In an instant, He gives the homeless a home.
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਨਿਮਾਣੇ ਕਉ ਦੀਨੋ ਮਾਨੁ ॥੩॥
Khin Mehi Nimaanae Ko Dheeno Maan ||3||
खिन महि निमाणे कउ दीनो मानु ॥३॥
In an instant, He bestows honor on the dishonored. ||3||
