ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਾ ॥
Sabh Mehi Eaek Rehiaa Bharapooraa ||
सभ महि एकु रहिआ भरपूरा ॥
The One Lord is totally pervading and permeating all.
ਸੋ ਜਾਪੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ॥
So Jaapai Jis Sathigur Pooraa ||
सो जापै जिसु सतिगुरु पूरा ॥
He alone meditates on the Lord, whose True Guru is Perfect.
ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
Har Keerathan Thaa Ko Aadhhaar ||
हरि कीरतनु ता को आधारु ॥
Such a person has the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises for his Support.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਰੁ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੨੬॥

कहु नानक जिसु आपि दइआरु ॥४॥१३॥२६॥
Says Nanak, the Lord Himself is merciful to him. ||4||13||26||

ਮੋਹਿ ਦੁਹਾਗਨਿ ਆਪਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੀ ॥
Mohi Dhuhaagan Aap Seegaaree ||
मोहि दुहागनि आपि सीगारी ॥
I was discarded and abandoned, but He has embellished me.
ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਦੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥
Roop Rang Dhae Naam Savaaree ||
रूप रंग दे नामि सवारी ॥
He has blessed me with beauty and His Love; through His Name, I am exalted.
ਮਿਟਿਓ ਦੁਖੁ ਅਰੁ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਤਾਪ ॥
Mittiou Dhukh Ar Sagal Santhaap ||
मिटिओ दुखु अरु सगल संताप ॥
All my pains and sorrows have been eradicated.
ਗੁਰ ਹੋਏ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਈ ਬਾਪ ॥੧॥
Gur Hoeae Maerae Maaee Baap ||1||
गुर होए मेरे माई बाप ॥१॥
The Guru has become my Mother and Father. ||1||

सखी सहेरी मेरै ग्रसति अनंद ॥
O my friends and companions, my household is in bliss.

Thapath Bujhee Pooran Sabh Aasaa ||
तपति बुझी पूरन सभ आसा ॥
The fire of desire has been extinguished, and all my desires have been fulfilled.
ਮਿਟੇ ਅੰਧੇਰ ਭਏ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ॥
Mittae Andhhaer Bheae Paragaasaa ||
मिटे अंधेर भए परगासा ॥
The darkness has been dispelled, and the Divine Light blazes forth.
ਅਨਹਦ ਸਬਦ ਅਚਰਜ ਬਿਸਮਾਦ ॥
Anehadh Sabadh Acharaj Bisamaadh ||
अनहद सबद अचरज बिसमाद ॥
The Unstruck Sound-current of the Shabad, the Word of God, is wondrous and amazing!
ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਰਸਾਦ ॥੨॥

गुरु पूरा पूरा परसाद ॥२॥
Perfect is the Grace of the Perfect Guru. ||2||
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਭਏ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥
Jaa Ko Pragatt Bheae Gopaal ||
जा कउ प्रगट भए गोपाल ॥
That person, unto whom the Lord reveals Himself
ਤਾ ਕੈ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥
Thaa Kai Dharasan Sadhaa Nihaal ||
ता कै दरसनि सदा निहाल ॥
By the Blessed Vision of his Darshan, I am forever enraptured.
ਸਰਬ ਗੁਣਾ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥
Sarab Gunaa Thaa Kai Bahuth Nidhhaan ||
सरब गुणा ता कै बहुतु निधान ॥
He obtains all virtues and so many treasures.
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਓ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੩॥
Jaa Ko Sathigur Dheeou Naam ||3||
जा कउ सतिगुरि दीओ नामु ॥३॥
The True Guru blesses him with the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||3||
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਅਪਨਾ ॥
Jaa Ko Bhaettiou Thaakur Apanaa ||
जा कउ भेटिओ ठाकुरु अपना ॥
That person who meets with his Lord and Master
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਨਾ ॥
Man Than Seethal Har Har Japanaa ||
मनु तनु सीतलु हरि हरि जपना ॥
His mind and body are cooled and soothed, chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਏ ॥
Kahu Naanak Jo Jan Prabh Bhaaeae ||
कहु नानक जो जन प्रभ भाए ॥
Says Nanak, such a humble being is pleasing to God;
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਰੇਨੁ ਬਿਰਲਾ ਕੋ ਪਾਏ ॥੪॥੧੪॥੨੭॥

ता की रेनु बिरला को पाए ॥४॥१४॥२७॥
Only a rare few are blessed with the dust of his feet. ||4||14||27||

ਚਿਤਵਤ ਪਾਪ ਨ ਆਲਕੁ ਆਵੈ ॥

चितवत पाप न आलकु आवै ॥
The mortal does not hesitate to think about sin.
ਬੇਸੁਆ ਭਜਤ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਹ ਸਰਮਾਵੈ ॥
Baesuaa Bhajath Kishh Neh Saramaavai ||
बेसुआ भजत किछु नह सरमावै ॥
He is not ashamed to spend time with prostitutes.
ਸਾਰੋ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਮਜੂਰੀ ਕਰੈ ॥
Saaro Dhinas Majooree Karai ||
सारो दिनसु मजूरी करै ॥
He works all day long,
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀ ਵੇਲਾ ਬਜਰ ਸਿਰਿ ਪਰੈ ॥੧॥
Har Simaran Kee Vaelaa Bajar Sir Parai ||1||
हरि सिमरन की वेला बजर सिरि परै ॥१॥
But when it is time to remember the Lord, then a heavy stone falls on his head. ||1||
ਮਾਇਆ ਲਗਿ ਭੂਲੋ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
Maaeiaa Lag Bhoolo Sansaar ||
माइआ लगि भूलो संसारु ॥
Attached to Maya, the world is deluded and confused.
ਆਪਿ ਭੁਲਾਇਆ ਭੁਲਾਵਣਹਾਰੈ ਰਾਚਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਬਿਉਹਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Aap Bhulaaeiaa Bhulaavanehaarai Raach Rehiaa Birathhaa Biouhaar ||1|| Rehaao ||
आपि भुलाइआ भुलावणहारै राचि रहिआ बिरथा बिउहार ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The Deluder Himself has deluded the mortal, and now he is engrossed in worthless worldly affairs. ||1||Pause||
ਪੇਖਤ ਮਾਇਆ ਰੰਗ ਬਿਹਾਇ ॥
Paekhath Maaeiaa Rang Bihaae ||
पेखत माइआ रंग बिहाइ ॥
Gazing on Maya's illusion, its pleasures pass away.
ਗੜਬੜ ਕਰੈ ਕਉਡੀ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਇ ॥
Garrabarr Karai Kouddee Rang Laae ||
गड़बड़ करै कउडी रंगु लाइ ॥
He loves the shell, and ruins his life.
ਅੰਧ ਬਿਉਹਾਰ ਬੰਧ ਮਨੁ ਧਾਵੈ ॥
Andhh Biouhaar Bandhh Man Dhhaavai ||
अंध बिउहार बंध मनु धावै ॥
Bound to blind worldly affairs, his mind wavers and wanders.
ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰੁ ਨ ਜੀਅ ਮਹਿ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥
Karanaihaar N Jeea Mehi Aavai ||2||
करणैहारु न जीअ महि आवै ॥२॥
The Creator Lord does not come into his mind. ||2||
ਕਰਤ ਕਰਤ ਇਵ ਹੀ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Karath Karath Eiv Hee Dhukh Paaeiaa ||
करत करत इव ही दुखु पाइआ ॥
Working and working like this, he only obtains pain,
ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਤ ਨ ਕਾਰਜ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
Pooran Hoth N Kaaraj Maaeiaa ||
पूरन होत न कारज माइआ ॥
And his affairs of Maya are never completed.
ਕਾਮਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿ ਲੋਭਿ ਮਨੁ ਲੀਨਾ ॥
Kaam Krodhh Lobh Man Leenaa ||
कामि क्रोधि लोभि मनु लीना ॥
His mind is saturated with sexual desire, anger and greed.
ਤੜਫਿ ਮੂਆ ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਬਿਨੁ ਮੀਨਾ ॥੩॥
Tharraf Mooaa Jio Jal Bin Meenaa ||3||
तड़फि मूआ जिउ जल बिनु मीना ॥३॥
Wiggling like a fish out of water, he dies. ||3||
ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਰਾਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ॥
Jis Kae Raakhae Hoe Har Aap ||
जिस के राखे होए हरि आपि ॥
One who has the Lord Himself as his Protector,
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਜਪੁ ਜਾਪਿ ॥
Har Har Naam Sadhaa Jap Jaap ||
हरि हरि नामु सदा जपु जापि ॥
Chants and meditates forever on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ॥
Saadhhasang Har Kae Gun Gaaeiaa ||
साधसंगि हरि के गुण गाइआ ॥
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, he chants the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੧੫॥੨੮॥
Naanak Sathigur Pooraa Paaeiaa ||4||15||28||
नानक सतिगुरु पूरा पाइआ ॥४॥१५॥२८॥
O Nanak, he has found the Perfect True Guru. ||4||15||28||

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
Har Kaa Naam Mann Vasaaeae ||
हरि का नामु मंनि वसाए ॥
He enshrines the Name of the Lord in his mind.
ਸਾਚ ਸਬਦੁ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
Saach Sabadh Hiradhae Man Maahi ||
साच सबदु हिरदे मन माहि ॥
With the True Word of the Shabad in his heart and mind,
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੧॥
Janam Janam Kae Kilavikh Jaahi ||1||
जनम जनम के किलविख जाहि ॥१॥
The sins of countless incarnations vanish. ||1||
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਅ ਕੋ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
Raam Naam Jeea Ko Aadhhaar ||
राम नामु जीअ को आधारु ॥
The Lord's Name is the Support of the soul.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਜਪਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਭਾਈ ਤਾਰਿ ਲਏ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Gur Parasaadh Japahu Nith Bhaaee Thaar Leae Saagar Sansaar ||1|| Rehaao ||
गुर परसादि जपहु नित भाई तारि लए सागर संसारु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
By Guru's Grace, chant the Name continually, O Siblings of Destiny; It shall carry you across the world-ocean. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਏਹੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥
Jin Ko Likhiaa Har Eaehu Nidhhaan ||
जिन कउ लिखिआ हरि एहु निधानु ॥
Those who have this treasure of the Lord's Name written in their destiny,
ਸੇ ਜਨ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
Sae Jan Dharageh Paavehi Maan ||
से जन दरगह पावहि मानु ॥
Those humble beings are honored in the Court of the Lord.
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
Sookh Sehaj Aanandh Gun Gaao ||
सूख सहज आनंद गुण गाउ ॥
Singing His Glorious Praises with peace, poise and bliss,
ਆਗੈ ਮਿਲੈ ਨਿਥਾਵੇ ਥਾਉ ॥੨॥
Aagai Milai Nithhaavae Thhaao ||2||
आगै मिलै निथावे थाउ ॥२॥
Even the homeless obtain a home hereafter. ||2||
ਜੁਗਹ ਜੁਗੰਤਰਿ ਇਹੁ ਤਤੁ ਸਾਰੁ ॥
Jugeh Juganthar Eihu Thath Saar ||
जुगह जुगंतरि इहु ततु सारु ॥
Throughout the ages, this has been the essence of reality.
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਣੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
Har Simaran Saachaa Beechaar ||
हरि सिमरणु साचा बीचारु ॥
Meditate in remembrance on the Lord, and contemplate the Truth.
