As Gurmukh, I chant the Name of the Lord.
ਬਿਸਰੀ ਚਿੰਤ ਨਾਮਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਗਾ ॥
Bisaree Chinth Naam Rang Laagaa ||
बिसरी चिंत नामि रंगु लागा ॥
My anxiety is gone, and I am in love with the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗਾ ॥੧॥
Janam Janam Kaa Soeiaa Jaagaa ||1||
जनम जनम का सोइआ जागा ॥१॥
I was asleep for countless lifetimes, but I have now awakened. ||1||

Kar Kirapaa Apanee Saevaa Laaeae ||
करि किरपा अपनी सेवा लाए ॥
Granting His Grace, He has linked me to His service.

रोग दोख गुर सबदि निवारे ॥
The Word of the Guru's Shabad has eradicated disease and evil.
ਨਾਮ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਮਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਸਾਰੇ ॥
Naam Aoukhadhh Man Bheethar Saarae ||
नाम अउखधु मन भीतरि सारे ॥
My mind has absorbed the medicine of the Naam.
ਗੁਰ ਭੇਟਤ ਮਨਿ ਭਇਆ ਅਨੰਦ ॥

गुर भेटत मनि भइआ अनंद ॥
Meeting with the Guru, my mind is in bliss.

सरब निधान नाम भगवंत ॥२॥
All treasures are in the Name of the Lord God. ||2||

जनम मरण की मिटी जम त्रास ॥
My fear of birth and death and the Messenger of Death has been dispelled.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਊਂਧ ਕਮਲ ਬਿਗਾਸ ॥

साधसंगति ऊंध कमल बिगास ॥
In the Saadh Sangat, the inverted lotus of my heart has blossomed forth.

गुण गावत निहचलु बिस्राम ॥
Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, I have found eternal, abiding peace.

पूरन होए सगले काम ॥३॥
All my tasks are perfectly accomplished. ||3||

दुलभ देह आई परवानु ॥
This human body, so difficult to obtain, is approved by the Lord.

सफल होई जपि हरि हरि नामु ॥
Chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, it has become fruitful.

Sing His Glorious Praises, forever and ever.
ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ ॥

जिसु सिमरत सगला दुखु जाइ ॥
Meditating in remembrance on Him, all pain is dispelled.

All pleasures come to dwell in the mind. ||1||

He gives sustenance to all beings and creatures.

He forgives millions of sins and mistakes in an instant.

भगति भाइ सदा निसतार ॥२॥
Through loving devotional worship, one is emancipated forever. ||2||

Saachaa Dhhan Saachee Vaddiaaee ||
साचा धनु साची वडिआई ॥
True wealth and true glorious greatness,
ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੇ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਮਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
Gur Poorae Thae Nihachal Math Paaee ||
गुर पूरे ते निहचल मति पाई ॥
And eternal, unchanging wisdom, are obtained from the Perfect Guru.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰਾ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Jis Raakhanehaaraa ||
करि किरपा जिसु राखनहारा ॥
When the Protector, the Savior Lord, bestows His Mercy,
ਤਾ ਕਾ ਸਗਲ ਮਿਟੈ ਅੰਧਿਆਰਾ ॥੩॥
Thaa Kaa Sagal Mittai Andhhiaaraa ||3||
ता का सगल मिटै अंधिआरा ॥३॥
All spiritual darkness is dispelled. ||3||

The Lord of Nirvaanaa is totally pervading and permeating all.

Eradicating doubt and fear, I have met the Lord of the World.

मिटहि कलेस सुख सहजि निवासु ॥
Suffering is eradicated, and one comes to dwell in peace and poise.
ਤਿਸਹਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੇਇ ॥
Thisehi Paraapath Jis Prabh Dhaee ||
तिसहि परापति जिसु प्रभु देइ ॥
They alone receive it, unto whom God gives it.

Meditating on the Lord, your comings and goings cease.

Sexual desire, anger and egotism are dispelled.
ਤੂਟੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹ ਪਿਆਰ ॥
Thoottae Maaeiaa Moh Piaar ||
तूटे माइआ मोह पिआर ॥
Love and attachment to Maya are broken.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਟੇਕ ਰਹੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਿ ॥

प्रभ की टेक रहै दिनु राति ॥
Lean on God's Support, day and night.

Our Lord and Master is the Creator, the Cause of causes.

He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of all hearts.

नाम बिहून सुखी किउ सोवै ॥
Without the Name, how can he ever sleep in peace?

हरि सिमरनु छाडि परम गति चाहै ॥
The mortal abandons meditative remembrance of the Lord, and then wishes for the state of supreme salvation;
