ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਕਹਿਆ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਮਾਨੈ ॥
Nindhak Kaa Kehiaa Koe N Maanai ||
निंदक का कहिआ कोइ न मानै ॥
No one belives what the slanderer says.
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਝੂਠੁ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਨੇ ॥
Nindhak Jhooth Bol Pashhuthaanae ||
निंदक झूठु बोलि पछुताने ॥
The slanderer tells lies, and later regrets and repents.
ਹਾਥ ਪਛੋਰਹਿ ਸਿਰੁ ਧਰਨਿ ਲਗਾਹਿ ॥
Haathh Pashhorehi Sir Dhharan Lagaahi ||
हाथ पछोरहि सिरु धरनि लगाहि ॥
He wrings his hands, and hits his head against the ground.
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਉ ਦਈ ਛੋਡੈ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
Nindhak Ko Dhee Shhoddai Naahi ||2||
निंदक कउ दई छोडै नाहि ॥२॥
The Lord does not forgive the slanderer. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਬੁਰਾ ਨ ਮਾਗੈ ॥
Har Kaa Dhaas Kishh Buraa N Maagai ||
हरि का दासु किछु बुरा न मागै ॥
The Lord's slave does not wish anyone ill.
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਉ ਲਾਗੈ ਦੁਖ ਸਾਂਗੈ ॥
Nindhak Ko Laagai Dhukh Saangai ||
निंदक कउ लागै दुख सांगै ॥
The slanderer suffers, as if stabbed by a spear.
ਬਗੁਲੇ ਜਿਉ ਰਹਿਆ ਪੰਖ ਪਸਾਰਿ ॥
Bagulae Jio Rehiaa Pankh Pasaar ||
बगुले जिउ रहिआ पंख पसारि ॥
Like a crane, he spreads his feathers, to look like a swan.
ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਕਢਿਆ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੩॥
Mukh Thae Boliaa Thaan Kadtiaa Beechaar ||3||
मुख ते बोलिआ तां कढिआ बीचारि ॥३॥
When he speaks with his mouth, then he is exposed and driven out. ||3||
ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਕਰਤਾ ਸੋਇ ॥

अंतरजामी करता सोइ ॥
The Creator is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts.
ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਕਰੈ ਸੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥

हरि जनु करै सु निहचलु होइ ॥
That person, whom the Lord makes His Own, becomes stable and steady.
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਦਰਬਾਰਿ ॥

हरि का दासु साचा दरबारि ॥
The Lord's slave is true in the Court of the Lord.

With my palms pressed together, I offer this prayer.
ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਧਨੁ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਰਾਸਿ ॥
Jeeo Pindd Dhhan This Kee Raas ||
जीउ पिंडु धनु तिस की रासि ॥
My soul, body and wealth are His property.
ਸੋਈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਰਨੈਹਾਰੁ ॥
Soee Maeraa Suaamee Karanaihaar ||
सोई मेरा सुआमी करनैहारु ॥
He is the Creator, my Lord and Master.
ਕੋਟਿ ਬਾਰ ਜਾਈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ॥੧॥

कोटि बार जाई बलिहार ॥१॥
Millions of times, I am a sacrifice to Him. ||1||

The dust of the feet of the Holy brings purity.

Remembering God in meditation, the mind's corruption is eradicated, and the filth of countless incarnations is washed away. ||1||Pause||
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮਹਿ ਸਗਲ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥
Jaa Kai Grih Mehi Sagal Nidhhaan ||
जा कै ग्रिह महि सगल निधान ॥
All treasures are in His household.
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
Jaa Kee Saevaa Paaeeai Maan ||
जा की सेवा पाईऐ मानु ॥
Serving Him, the mortal attains honor.
ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਨਹਾਰ ॥
Sagal Manorathh Pooranehaar ||
सगल मनोरथ पूरनहार ॥
He is the Fulfiller of the mind's desires.
ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਭਗਤਨ ਆਧਾਰ ॥੨॥

जीअ प्रान भगतन आधार ॥२॥
He is the Support of the soul and the breath of life of His devotees. ||2||
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਗਲ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ ॥
Ghatt Ghatt Anthar Sagal Pragaas ||
घट घट अंतरि सगल प्रगास ॥
His Light shines in each and every heart.
ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਹਿ ਭਗਤ ਗੁਣਤਾਸ ॥
Jap Jap Jeevehi Bhagath Gunathaas ||
जपि जपि जीवहि भगत गुणतास ॥
Chanting and meditating on God, the Treasure of Virtue, His devotees live.
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ਨ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਜਾਇ ॥
Jaa Kee Saev N Birathhee Jaae ||
जा की सेव न बिरथी जाइ ॥
Service to Him does not go in vain.
ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੩॥

मन तन अंतरि एकु धिआइ ॥३॥
Deep within your mind and body, meditate on the One Lord. ||3||
ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਦਇਆ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ॥
Gur Oupadhaes Dhaeiaa Santhokh ||
गुर उपदेसि दइआ संतोखु ॥
Following the Guru's Teachings, compassion and contentment are found.
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਇਹੁ ਥੋਕੁ ॥
Naam Nidhhaan Niramal Eihu Thhok ||
नामु निधानु निरमलु इहु थोकु ॥
This Treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the immaculate object.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੀਜੈ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Leejai Larr Laae ||
करि किरपा लीजै लड़ि लाइ ॥
Please grant Your Grace, O Lord, and attach me to the hem of Your robe.

कारजु आइआ सगला रासि ॥
All my affairs have been resolved.
ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥

मन तन अंतरि प्रभू धिआइआ ॥
Deep within my mind and body, I meditate on God.

गुर पूरे डरु सगल चुकाइआ ॥१॥
The Perfect Guru has dispelled all my fears. ||1||

सभ ते वड समरथ गुरदेव ॥
The All-powerful Divine Guru is the Greatest of all.
ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਈ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sabh Sukh Paaee This Kee Saev || Rehaao ||
सभि सुख पाई तिस की सेव ॥ रहाउ ॥
Serving Him, I obtain all comforts. ||Pause||
ਜਾ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
Jaa Kaa Keeaa Sabh Kishh Hoe ||
जा का कीआ सभु किछु होइ ॥
Everything is done by Him.
ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਅਮਰੁ ਨ ਮੇਟੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
This Kaa Amar N Maettai Koe ||
तिस का अमरु न मेटै कोइ ॥
No one can erase His Eternal Decree.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਅਨੂਪੁ ॥

पारब्रहमु परमेसरु अनूपु ॥
The Supreme Lord God, the Transcendent Lord, is incomparably beautiful.

The Guru is the Image of Fulfillment, the Embodiment of the Lord. ||2||
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
Jaa Kai Anthar Basai Har Naam ||
जा कै अंतरि बसै हरि नामु ॥
The Name of the Lord abides deep within him.
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਪੇਖੈ ਸੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੁ ॥
Jo Jo Paekhai S Breham Giaan ||
जो जो पेखै सु ब्रहम गिआनु ॥
Wherever he looks, he sees the Wisdom of God.
ਬੀਸ ਬਿਸੁਏ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥

बीस बिसुए जा कै मनि परगासु ॥
His mind is totally enlightened and illuminated.
ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਾ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥੩॥

तिसु जन कै पारब्रहम का निवासु ॥३॥
Within that person, the Supreme Lord God abides. ||3||
ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਸਦ ਕਰੀ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ॥
This Gur Ko Sadh Karee Namasakaar ||
तिसु गुर कउ सद करी नमसकार ॥
I humbly bow to that Guru forever.
ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਸਦ ਜਾਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ॥
This Gur Ko Sadh Jaao Balihaar ||
तिसु गुर कउ सद जाउ बलिहार ॥
I am forever a sacrifice to that Guru.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਧੋਇ ਧੋਇ ਪੀਵਾ ॥
Sathigur Kae Charan Dhhoe Dhhoe Peevaa ||
सतिगुर के चरन धोइ धोइ पीवा ॥
I wash the feet of the Guru, and drink in this water.
ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਸਦ ਜੀਵਾ ॥੪॥੪੩॥੫੬॥
