जिसु लड़ि लाइ लए सो लागै ॥
He alone is attached to the hem of the Lord's robe, whom the Lord Himself attaches.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗੈ ॥੩॥
Janam Janam Kaa Soeiaa Jaagai ||3||
जनम जनम का सोइआ जागै ॥३॥
Asleep for countless incarnations, he now awakens. ||3||
ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਾ ਆਪਿ ॥
Thaerae Bhagath Bhagathan Kaa Aap ||
तेरे भगत भगतन का आपि ॥
Your devotees belong to You, and You belong to Your devotees.
ਅਪਣੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਪਿ ॥
Apanee Mehimaa Aapae Jaap ||
अपणी महिमा आपे जापि ॥
You Yourself inspire them to chant Your Praises.
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਹਾਥਿ ॥
Jeea Janth Sabh Thaerai Haathh ||
जीअ जंत सभि तेरै हाथि ॥
All beings and creatures are in Your Hands.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸਾਥਿ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੨੯॥

नामु हमारै आवै कामी ॥
The Naam is so useful to me.
ਰੋਮਿ ਰੋਮਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥

रोमि रोमि रविआ हरि नामु ॥
The Lord's Name permeates each and every hair of mine.

The Naam is my unmoving, unchanging Lord and Master.
ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਬਨੀ ॥
Naam Kee Mehimaa Sabh Mehi Banee ||
नाम की महिमा सभ महि बनी ॥
The glory of the Naam spreads over the whole world.
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਾਹੁ ॥
Naam Hamaarai Pooraa Saahu ||
नामु हमारै पूरा साहु ॥
The Naam is my perfect master of wealth.
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਬੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ॥੨॥

नामु हमारै बेपरवाहु ॥२॥
The Naam is my independence. ||2||
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਭੋਜਨ ਭਾਉ ॥

नामु हमारै भोजन भाउ ॥
The Naam is my food and love.
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਸੁਆਉ ॥
Naam Hamaarai Man Kaa Suaao ||
नामु हमारै मन का सुआउ ॥
The Naam is the objective of my mind.
ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
Naam N Visarai Santh Prasaadh ||
नामु न विसरै संत प्रसादि ॥
By the Grace of the Saints, I never forget the Naam.
ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਤ ਅਨਹਦ ਪੂਰੇ ਨਾਦ ॥੩॥
Naam Laith Anehadh Poorae Naadh ||3||
नामु लैत अनहद पूरे नाद ॥३॥
Repeating the Naam, the Unstruck Sound-current of the Naad resounds. ||3||
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
Prabh Kirapaa Thae Naam No Nidhh Paaee ||
प्रभ किरपा ते नामु नउ निधि पाई ॥
By God's Grace, I have obtained the nine treasures of the Naam.
ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥
Gur Kirapaa Thae Naam Sio Ban Aaee ||
गुर किरपा ते नाम सिउ बनि आई ॥
By Guru's Grace, I am tuned in to the Naam.
ਧਨਵੰਤੇ ਸੇਈ ਪਰਧਾਨ ॥
Dhhanavanthae Saeee Paradhhaan ||
धनवंते सेई परधान ॥
They alone are wealthy and supreme,
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥੪॥੧੭॥੩੦॥

You are my Father, and You are my Mother.
ਤੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥
Thoo Maerae Jeea Praan Sukhadhaathaa ||
तू मेरे जीअ प्रान सुखदाता ॥
You are my Soul, my Breath of Life, the Giver of Peace.
ਤੂ ਮੇਰਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਹਉ ਦਾਸੁ ਤੇਰਾ ॥

तू मेरा ठाकुरु हउ दासु तेरा ॥

हम तेरे भिखारी दानु देहि दातारा ॥
I am Your beggar; please bless me with Your charity, O Great Giver.
ਤਉ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਰੰਗ ਰਸ ਮਾਣੇ ॥

तउ परसादि रंग रस माणे ॥
By Your Grace, I enjoy love and pleasures.
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ॥੨॥
Ghatt Ghatt Anthar Thumehi Samaanae ||2||
घट घट अंतरि तुमहि समाणे ॥२॥
You are deep within each and every heart. ||2||
ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਜਪੀਐ ਨਾਉ ॥

तुम्हरी क्रिपा ते जपीऐ नाउ ॥
By Your Grace, I chant the Name.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
Saadhhasang Thumarae Gun Gaao ||
साधसंगि तुमरे गुण गाउ ॥
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I sing Your Glorious Praises.
ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰੀ ਦਇਆ ਤੇ ਹੋਇ ਦਰਦ ਬਿਨਾਸੁ ॥
Thumharee Dhaeiaa Thae Hoe Dharadh Binaas ||
तुम्हरी दइआ ते होइ दरद बिनासु ॥
In Your Mercy, You take away our pains.
ਤੁਮਰੀ ਮਇਆ ਤੇ ਕਮਲ ਬਿਗਾਸੁ ॥੩॥

तुमरी मइआ ते कमल बिगासु ॥३॥
By Your Mercy, the heart-lotus blossoms forth. ||3||
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਿ ਜਾਉ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥

हउ बलिहारि जाउ गुरदेव ॥
I am a sacrifice to the Divine Guru.
ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੇਵ ॥

सफल दरसनु जा की निरमल सेव ॥
The Blessed Vision of His Darshan is fruitful and rewarding; His service is immaculate and pure.

His Regal Court is the highest of all.
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਜੋਹਾਰੁ ॥
Sadhaa Sadhaa Thaa Ko Johaar ||
सदा सदा ता कउ जोहारु ॥
I humbly bow to Him, forever and ever.
ਊਚੇ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਥਾਨ ॥
Oochae Thae Oochaa Jaa Kaa Thhaan ||
ऊचे ते ऊचा जा का थान ॥
His place is the highest of the high.
ਕੋਟਿ ਅਘਾ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ॥੧॥
Kott Aghaa Mittehi Har Naam ||1||
कोटि अघा मिटहि हरि नाम ॥१॥
Millions of sins are erased by the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਤਿਸੁ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
This Saranaaee Sadhaa Sukh Hoe ||
तिसु सरणाई सदा सुखु होइ ॥
In His Sanctuary, we find eternal peace.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਮੇਲੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Jaa Kae Karathab Lakhae N Jaahi ||
जा के करतब लखे न जाहि ॥
His wondrous actions cannot even be described.
ਜਾ ਕਾ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ਸਭ ਘਟ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
Jaa Kaa Bharavaasaa Sabh Ghatt Maahi ||
जा का भरवासा सभ घट माहि ॥
All hearts rest their faith and hope in Him.
ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਭਇਆ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥
Pragatt Bhaeiaa Saadhhoo Kai Sang ||
प्रगट भइआ साधू कै संगि ॥
He is manifest in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਭਗਤ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੨॥
Bhagath Araadhhehi Anadhin Rang ||2||
भगत अराधहि अनदिनु रंगि ॥२॥
The devotees lovingly worship and adore Him night and day. ||2||
ਦੇਦੇ ਤੋਟਿ ਨਹੀ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥
Dhaedhae Thott Nehee Bhanddaar ||
देदे तोटि नही भंडार ॥
He gives, but His treasures are never exhausted.
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਨਹਾਰ ॥
Khin Mehi Thhaap Outhhaapanehaar ||
खिन महि थापि उथापनहार ॥
In an instant, He establishes and disestablishes.
ਜਾ ਕਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਨ ਮੇਟੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
Jaa Kaa Hukam N Maettai Koe ||
जा का हुकमु न मेटै कोइ ॥
No one can erase the Hukam of His Command.
ਸਿਰਿ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹਾ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਇ ॥੩॥
Sir Paathisaahaa Saachaa Soe ||3||
सिरि पातिसाहा साचा सोइ ॥३॥
The True Lord is above the heads of kings. ||3||
ਜਿਸ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਤਿਸੈ ਕੀ ਆਸਾ ॥
Jis Kee Outt Thisai Kee Aasaa ||
जिस की ओट तिसै की आसा ॥
He is my Anchor and Support; I place my hopes in Him.
