जो जो पीवै सो त्रिपतावै ॥
Whoever drinks this in, is satisfied.
ਅਮਰੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
Amar Hovai Jo Naam Ras Paavai ||
अमरु होवै जो नाम रसु पावै ॥
Whoever obtains the Sublime Essence of the Naam becomes immortal.
ਨਾਮ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Naam Nidhhaan Thisehi Paraapath Jis Sabadh Guroo Man Voothaa Jeeo ||2||
नाम निधान तिसहि परापति जिसु सबदु गुरू मनि वूठा जीउ ॥२॥
The Treasure of the Naam is obtained by one whose mind is filled with the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||2||
ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਨਾ ॥
Jin Har Ras Paaeiaa So Thripath Aghaanaa ||
जिनि हरि रसु पाइआ सो त्रिपति अघाना ॥
One who obtains the Sublime Essence of the Lord is satisfied and fulfilled.
ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੋ ਨਾਹਿ ਡੁਲਾਨਾ ॥
Jin Har Saadh Paaeiaa So Naahi Ddulaanaa ||
जिनि हरि सादु पाइआ सो नाहि डुलाना ॥
One who obtains this Flavor of the Lord does not waver.
ਤਿਸਹਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੀਠਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Thisehi Paraapath Har Har Naamaa Jis Masathak Bhaageethaa Jeeo ||3||
तिसहि परापति हरि हरि नामा जिसु मसतकि भागीठा जीउ ॥३॥
One who has this destiny written on his forehead obtains the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||3||
ਹਰਿ ਇਕਸੁ ਹਥਿ ਆਇਆ ਵਰਸਾਣੇ ਬਹੁਤੇਰੇ ॥
Har Eikas Hathh Aaeiaa Varasaanae Bahuthaerae ||
हरि इकसु हथि आइआ वरसाणे बहुतेरे ॥
The Lord has come into the hands of the One, the Guru, who has blessed so many with good fortune.
ਤਿਸੁ ਲਗਿ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਭਏ ਘਣੇਰੇ ॥
This Lag Mukath Bheae Ghanaerae ||
तिसु लगि मुकतु भए घणेरे ॥
Attached to Him, a great many have been liberated.
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਵਿਰਲੀ ਡੀਠਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੧੫॥੨੨॥
Naam Nidhhaanaa Guramukh Paaeeai Kahu Naanak Viralee Ddeethaa Jeeo ||4||15||22||
नामु निधाना गुरमुखि पाईऐ कहु नानक विरली डीठा जीउ ॥४॥१५॥२२॥
The Gurmukh obtains the Treasure of the Naam; says Nanak, those who see the Lord are very rare. ||4||15||22||

निधि सिधि रिधि हरि हरि हरि मेरै ॥
My Lord, Har, Har, Har, is the nine treasures, the supernatural spiritual powers of the Siddhas, wealth and prosperity.
ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੈ ॥
Janam Padhaarathh Gehir Ganbheerai ||
जनमु पदारथु गहिर ग्मभीरै ॥
He is the Deep and Profound Treasure of Life.
ਲਾਖ ਕੋਟ ਖੁਸੀਆ ਰੰਗ ਰਾਵੈ ਜੋ ਗੁਰ ਲਾਗਾ ਪਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
Laakh Kott Khuseeaa Rang Raavai Jo Gur Laagaa Paaee Jeeo ||1||
लाख कोट खुसीआ रंग रावै जो गुर लागा पाई जीउ ॥१॥
Hundreds of thousands, even millions of pleasures and delights are enjoyed by one who falls at the Guru's Feet. ||1||
ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪੇਖਤ ਭਏ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ॥
Dharasan Paekhath Bheae Puneethaa ||
दरसनु पेखत भए पुनीता ॥
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, all are sanctified,
ਸਗਲ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਮੀਤਾ ॥
Sagal Oudhhaarae Bhaaee Meethaa ||
सगल उधारे भाई मीता ॥
And all family and friends are saved.
ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਸਚੁ ਧਿਆਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Agam Agochar Suaamee Apunaa Gur Kirapaa Thae Sach Dhhiaaee Jeeo ||2||
अगम अगोचरु सुआमी अपुना गुर किरपा ते सचु धिआई जीउ ॥२॥
The One, the Guru, who is sought by all-only a few, by great good fortune, receive His Darshan.
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਖੋਜਹਿ ਸਰਬ ਉਪਾਏ ॥
Jaa Ko Khojehi Sarab Oupaaeae ||
जा कउ खोजहि सरब उपाए ॥
The One, the Guru, who is sought by all-only a few,
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਕੋ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਪਾਏ ॥
Vaddabhaagee Dharasan Ko Viralaa Paaeae ||
वडभागी दरसनु को विरला पाए ॥
By great good fortune, receive His Darshan.
ਊਚ ਅਪਾਰ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਥਾਨਾ ਓਹੁ ਮਹਲੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇਖਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Ooch Apaar Agochar Thhaanaa Ouhu Mehal Guroo Dhaekhaaee Jeeo ||3||
ऊच अपार अगोचर थाना ओहु महलु गुरू देखाई जीउ ॥३॥
His Place is lofty, infinite and unfathomable; the Guru has shown me that palace. ||3||
ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
Gehir Ganbheer Anmrith Naam Thaeraa ||
गहिर ग्मभीर अम्रित नामु तेरा ॥
Your Ambrosial Name is deep and profound.
ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭਇਆ ਜਿਸੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਵਸੇਰਾ ॥
Mukath Bhaeiaa Jis Ridhai Vasaeraa ||
मुकति भइआ जिसु रिदै वसेरा ॥
That person is liberated, in whose heart You dwell.
ਗੁਰਿ ਬੰਧਨ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਸਗਲੇ ਕਾਟੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੨੩॥
Gur Bandhhan Thin Kae Sagalae Kaattae Jan Naanak Sehaj Samaaee Jeeo ||4||16||23||
गुरि बंधन तिन के सगले काटे जन नानक सहजि समाई जीउ ॥४॥१६॥२३॥
The Guru cuts away all his bonds; O Servant Nanak, he is absorbed in the poise of intuitive peace. ||4||16||23||

Maajh, Fifth Mehl:
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵਉ ॥
Prabh Kirapaa Thae Har Har Dhhiaavo ||
प्रभ किरपा ते हरि हरि धिआवउ ॥
By God's Grace, I meditate on the Lord, Har, Har.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਇਆ ਤੇ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਵਉ ॥
Prabhoo Dhaeiaa Thae Mangal Gaavo ||
प्रभू दइआ ते मंगलु गावउ ॥
By God's Kindness, I sing the songs of joy.
ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਸੋਵਤ ਜਾਗਤ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸਗਲ ਅਵਰਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
Oothath Baithath Sovath Jaagath Har Dhhiaaeeai Sagal Avaradhaa Jeeo ||1||
ऊठत बैठत सोवत जागत हरि धिआईऐ सगल अवरदा जीउ ॥१॥
While standing and sitting, while sleeping and while awake, meditate on the Lord, all your life. ||1||
ਨਾਮੁ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਸਾਧੂ ਦੀਆ ॥
Naam Aoukhadhh Mo Ko Saadhhoo Dheeaa ||
नामु अउखधु मो कउ साधू दीआ ॥
The Holy Saint has given me the Medicine of the Naam.
ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਕਾਟੇ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਥੀਆ ॥
Kilabikh Kaattae Niramal Thheeaa ||
किलबिख काटे निरमलु थीआ ॥
My sins have been cut out, and I have become pure.
ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਨਿਕਸੀ ਸਭ ਪੀਰਾ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ਦਰਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Anadh Bhaeiaa Nikasee Sabh Peeraa Sagal Binaasae Dharadhaa Jeeo ||2||
अनदु भइआ निकसी सभ पीरा सगल बिनासे दरदा जीउ ॥२॥
I am filled with bliss, and all my pains have been taken away. All my suffering has been dispelled. ||2||
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਅੰਗੁ ਕਰੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ॥
Jis Kaa Ang Karae Maeraa Piaaraa ||
जिस का अंगु करे मेरा पिआरा ॥
One who has my Beloved on his side,
ਸੋ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥
So Mukathaa Saagar Sansaaraa ||
सो मुकता सागर संसारा ॥
Is liberated from the world-ocean.
ਸਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਸੋ ਕਾਹੇ ਕਉ ਡਰਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Sath Karae Jin Guroo Pashhaathaa So Kaahae Ko Ddaradhaa Jeeo ||3||
सति करे जिनि गुरू पछाता सो काहे कउ डरदा जीउ ॥३॥
One who recognizes the Guru practices Truth; why should he be afraid? ||3||
ਜਬ ਤੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਏ ॥
Jab Thae Saadhhoo Sangath Paaeae ||
जब ते साधू संगति पाए ॥
Since I found the Company of the Holy and met the Guru,
ਗੁਰ ਭੇਟਤ ਹਉ ਗਈ ਬਲਾਏ ॥
Gur Bhaettath Ho Gee Balaaeae ||
गुर भेटत हउ गई बलाए ॥
The demon of pride has departed.
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਵੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਢਾਕਿ ਲੀਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੜਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੧੭॥੨੪॥
Saas Saas Har Gaavai Naanak Sathigur Dtaak Leeaa Maeraa Parradhaa Jeeo ||4||17||24||
सासि सासि हरि गावै नानकु सतिगुर ढाकि लीआ मेरा पड़दा जीउ ॥४॥१७॥२४॥
With each and every breath, Nanak sings the Lord's Praises. The True Guru has covered my sins. ||4||17||24||

ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥

ओति पोति सेवक संगि राता ॥
Through and through, the Lord is intermingled with His servant.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥
Prabh Prathipaalae Saevak Sukhadhaathaa ||
प्रभ प्रतिपाले सेवक सुखदाता ॥
God, the Giver of Peace, cherishes His servant.
ਪਾਣੀ ਪਖਾ ਪੀਸਉ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹੀ ਕਾ ਆਹਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
Paanee Pakhaa Peeso Saevak Kai Thaakur Hee Kaa Aahar Jeeo ||1||
पाणी पखा पीसउ सेवक कै ठाकुर ही का आहरु जीउ ॥१॥
I carry the water, wave the fan, and grind the grain for the servant of my Lord and Master. ||1||
ਕਾਟਿ ਸਿਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
Kaatt Silak Prabh Saevaa Laaeiaa ||
काटि सिलक प्रभि सेवा लाइआ ॥
God has cut the noose from around my neck; He has placed me in His Service.
ਹੁਕਮੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
Hukam Saahib Kaa Saevak Man Bhaaeiaa ||
हुकमु साहिब का सेवक मनि भाइआ ॥
The Lord and Master's Command is pleasing to the mind of His servant.
ਸੋਈ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਮਾਹਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Soee Kamaavai Jo Saahib Bhaavai Saevak Anthar Baahar Maahar Jeeo ||2||
सोई कमावै जो साहिब भावै सेवकु अंतरि बाहरि माहरु जीउ ॥२॥
He does that which pleases his Lord and Master. Inwardly and outwardly, the servant knows his Lord. ||2||
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਨਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਨਹਿ ॥
Thoon Dhaanaa Thaakur Sabh Bidhh Jaanehi ||
तूं दाना ठाकुरु सभ बिधि जानहि ॥
You are the All-knowing Lord and Master; You know all ways and means.
