Sarab Jeeaa Ko Dhaevanehaaraa ||
सरब जीआ कउ देवणहारा ॥
He is the Giver of all souls.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
Gur Parasaadhee Nadhar Nihaaraa ||
गुर परसादी नदरि निहारा ॥
By Guru's Grace, He blesses us with His Glance of Grace.
ਜਲ ਥਲ ਮਹੀਅਲ ਸਭਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਣੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਚਰਨ ਪਖਾਲੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Jal Thhal Meheeal Sabh Thripathaanae Saadhhoo Charan Pakhaalee Jeeo ||3||
जल थल महीअल सभि त्रिपताणे साधू चरन पखाली जीउ ॥३॥
The beings in the water, on the land and in the sky are all satisfied; I wash the Feet of the Holy. ||3||
ਮਨ ਕੀ ਇਛ ਪੁਜਾਵਣਹਾਰਾ ॥
Man Kee Eishh Pujaavanehaaraa ||
मन की इछ पुजावणहारा ॥
He is the Fulfiller of the desires of the mind.
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਾਈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
Sadhaa Sadhaa Jaaee Balihaaraa ||
सदा सदा जाई बलिहारा ॥
Forever and ever, I am a sacrifice to Him.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਨੁ ਕੀਆ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨਿ ਰਤੇ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਸਾਲੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩੨॥੩੯॥
Naanak Dhaan Keeaa Dhukh Bhanjan Rathae Rang Rasaalee Jeeo ||4||32||39||
नानक दानु कीआ दुख भंजनि रते रंगि रसाली जीउ ॥४॥३२॥३९॥
O Nanak, the Destroyer of pain has given this Gift; I am imbued with the Love of the Delightful Lord. ||4||32||39||

Maajh, Fifth Mehl:
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਧਨੁ ਭੀ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
Man Than Thaeraa Dhhan Bhee Thaeraa ||
मनु तनु तेरा धनु भी तेरा ॥
Mind and body are Yours; all wealth is Yours.
ਤੂੰ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥
Thoon Thaakur Suaamee Prabh Maeraa ||
तूं ठाकुरु सुआमी प्रभु मेरा ॥
You are my God, my Lord and Master.
ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਰਾਸਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਜੋਰੁ ਗੋਪਾਲਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥

जीउ पिंडु सभु रासि तुमारी तेरा जोरु गोपाला जीउ ॥१॥
Body and soul and all riches are Yours. Yours is the Power, O Lord of the World. ||1||
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥
Sadhaa Sadhaa Thoonhai Sukhadhaaee ||
सदा सदा तूंहै सुखदाई ॥
Forever and ever, You are the Giver of Peace.
ਨਿਵਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਲਾਗਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਾਈ ॥
Niv Niv Laagaa Thaeree Paaee ||
निवि निवि लागा तेरी पाई ॥
I bow down and fall at Your Feet.
ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵਾ ਜੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵਾ ਜਾ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ ਦਇਆਲਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Kaar Kamaavaa Jae Thudhh Bhaavaa Jaa Thoon Dhaehi Dhaeiaalaa Jeeo ||2||
कार कमावा जे तुधु भावा जा तूं देहि दइआला जीउ ॥२॥
I act as it pleases You, as You cause me to act, Kind and Compassionate Dear Lord. ||2||
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਲਹਣਾ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਗਹਣਾ ॥
Prabh Thum Thae Lehanaa Thoon Maeraa Gehanaa ||
प्रभ तुम ते लहणा तूं मेरा गहणा ॥
O God, from You I receive; You are my decoration.
ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਹਣਾ ॥
Jo Thoon Dhaehi Soee Sukh Sehanaa ||
जो तूं देहि सोई सुखु सहणा ॥
Whatever You give me, brings me happiness.
ਜਿਥੈ ਰਖਹਿ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੁ ਤਿਥਾਈ ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨਾ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Jithhai Rakhehi Baikunth Thithhaaee Thoon Sabhanaa Kae Prathipaalaa Jeeo ||3||
जिथै रखहि बैकुंठु तिथाई तूं सभना के प्रतिपाला जीउ ॥३॥
Wherever You keep me, is heaven. You are the Cherisher of all. ||3||
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Simar Simar Naanak Sukh Paaeiaa ||
सिमरि सिमरि नानक सुखु पाइआ ॥
Meditating, meditating in remembrance, Nanak has found peace.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ॥
Aath Pehar Thaerae Gun Gaaeiaa ||
आठ पहर तेरे गुण गाइआ ॥
Twenty-four hours a day, I sing Your Glorious Praises.
ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਏ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਦੁਖਾਲਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩੩॥੪੦॥
Sagal Manorathh Pooran Hoeae Kadhae N Hoe Dhukhaalaa Jeeo ||4||33||40||
सगल मनोरथ पूरन होए कदे न होइ दुखाला जीउ ॥४॥३३॥४०॥
All my hopes and desires are fulfilled; I shall never again suffer sorrow. ||4||33||40||

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਮੇਘੁ ਪਠਾਇਆ ॥
Paarabreham Prabh Maegh Pathaaeiaa ||
पारब्रहमि प्रभि मेघु पठाइआ ॥
The Supreme Lord God has unleashed the rain clouds.
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਦਹ ਦਿਸਿ ਵਰਸਾਇਆ ॥
Jal Thhal Meheeal Dheh Dhis Varasaaeiaa ||
जलि थलि महीअलि दह दिसि वरसाइआ ॥
Over the sea and over the land-over all the earth's surface, in all directions, He has brought the rain.
ਸਾਂਤਿ ਭਈ ਬੁਝੀ ਸਭ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
Saanth Bhee Bujhee Sabh Thrisanaa Anadh Bhaeiaa Sabh Thaaee Jeeo ||1||
सांति भई बुझी सभ त्रिसना अनदु भइआ सभ ठाई जीउ ॥१॥
Peace has come, and the thirst of all has been quenched; there is joy and ecstasy everywhere. ||1||
ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨਹਾਰਾ ॥
Sukhadhaathaa Dhukh Bhanjanehaaraa ||
सुखदाता दुख भंजनहारा ॥
He is the Giver of Peace, the Destroyer of pain.
ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਕਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਸਾਰਾ ॥
Aapae Bakhas Karae Jeea Saaraa ||
आपे बखसि करे जीअ सारा ॥
He gives and forgives all beings.
ਅਪਨੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ਪਇ ਪੈਰੀ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਮਨਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Apanae Keethae No Aap Prathipaalae Pae Pairee Thisehi Manaaee Jeeo ||2||
अपने कीते नो आपि प्रतिपाले पइ पैरी तिसहि मनाई जीउ ॥२॥
He Himself nurtures and cherishes His Creation. I fall at His Feet and surrender to Him. ||2||
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਇਆ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
Jaa Kee Saran Paeiaa Gath Paaeeai ||
जा की सरणि पइआ गति पाईऐ ॥
Seeking His Sanctuary, salvation is obtained.
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥
Saas Saas Har Naam Dhhiaaeeai ||
सासि सासि हरि नामु धिआईऐ ॥
With each and every breath, I meditate on the Lord's Name.
ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਹੋਰੁ ਨ ਦੂਜਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਭ ਤਿਸੈ ਕੀਆ ਜਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
This Bin Hor N Dhoojaa Thaakur Sabh Thisai Keeaa Jaaee Jeeo ||3||
तिसु बिनु होरु न दूजा ठाकुरु सभ तिसै कीआ जाई जीउ ॥३॥
Without Him, there is no other Lord and Master. All places belong to Him. ||3||
ਤੇਰਾ ਮਾਣੁ ਤਾਣੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
Thaeraa Maan Thaan Prabh Thaeraa ||
तेरा माणु ताणु प्रभ तेरा ॥
Yours is the Honor, God, and Yours is the Power.
ਤੂੰ ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੇਰਾ ॥
Thoon Sachaa Saahib Gunee Gehaeraa ||
तूं सचा साहिबु गुणी गहेरा ॥
You are the True Lord and Master, the Ocean of Excellence.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਦਾਸੁ ਕਹੈ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩੪॥੪੧॥
Naanak Dhaas Kehai Baenanthee Aath Pehar Thudhh Dhhiaaee Jeeo ||4||34||41||
नानकु दासु कहै बेनंती आठ पहर तुधु धिआई जीउ ॥४॥३४॥४१॥
Servant Nanak utters this prayer: may I meditate on You twenty-four hours a day. ||4||34||41||

सभे सुख भए प्रभ तुठे ॥
All happiness comes, when God is pleased.
ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਮਨਿ ਵੁਠੇ ॥
Gur Poorae Kae Charan Man Vuthae ||
गुर पूरे के चरण मनि वुठे ॥
The Feet of the Perfect Guru dwell in my mind.
ਸਹਜ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਲਗੀ ਲਿਵ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸੋ ਰਸੁ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਣੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
Sehaj Samaadhh Lagee Liv Anthar So Ras Soee Jaanai Jeeo ||1||
सहज समाधि लगी लिव अंतरि सो रसु सोई जाणै जीउ ॥१॥
I am intuitively absorbed in the state of Samaadhi deep within. God alone knows this sweet pleasure. ||1||
ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥
Agam Agochar Saahib Maeraa ||
अगम अगोचरु साहिबु मेरा ॥
My Lord and Master is Inaccessible and Unfathomable.
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਰਤੈ ਨੇਰਾ ॥
Ghatt Ghatt Anthar Varathai Naeraa ||
घट घट अंतरि वरतै नेरा ॥
Deep within each and every heart, He dwells near and close at hand.
ਸਦਾ ਅਲਿਪਤੁ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਕੋ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Sadhaa Alipath Jeeaa Kaa Dhaathaa Ko Viralaa Aap Pashhaanai Jeeo ||2||
सदा अलिपतु जीआ का दाता को विरला आपु पछाणै जीउ ॥२॥
He is always detached; He is the Giver of souls. How rare is that person who understands his own self. ||2||
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਣੈ ਕੀ ਏਹ ਨੀਸਾਣੀ ॥
Prabh Milanai Kee Eaeh Neesaanee ||
प्रभ मिलणै की एह नीसाणी ॥
This is the sign of union with God:
ਮਨਿ ਇਕੋ ਸਚਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਪਛਾਣੀ ॥
Man Eiko Sachaa Hukam Pashhaanee ||
मनि इको सचा हुकमु पछाणी ॥
In the mind, the Command of the True Lord is recognized.
ਸਹਜਿ ਸੰਤੋਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸੇ ਅਨਦੁ ਖਸਮ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Sehaj Santhokh Sadhaa Thripathaasae Anadh Khasam Kai Bhaanai Jeeo ||3||
सहजि संतोखि सदा त्रिपतासे अनदु खसम कै भाणै जीउ ॥३॥
Intuitive peace and poise, contentment, enduring satisfaction and bliss come through the Pleasure of the Master's Will. ||3||
ਹਥੀ ਦਿਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰੈ ॥
Hathhee Dhithee Prabh Dhaevanehaarai ||
हथी दिती प्रभि देवणहारै ॥
God, the Great Giver, has given me His Hand.
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਰੋਗ ਸਭਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥
Janam Maran Rog Sabh Nivaarae ||
जनम मरण रोग सभि निवारे ॥
He has erased all the sickness of birth and death.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਕੀਏ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨਿ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩੫॥੪੨॥
Naanak Dhaas Keeeae Prabh Apunae Har Keerathan Rang Maanae Jeeo ||4||35||42||
नानक दास कीए प्रभि अपुने हरि कीरतनि रंग माणे जीउ ॥४॥३५॥४२॥
O Nanak, those whom God has made His slaves, rejoice in the pleasure of singing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises. ||4||35||42||
