Jeee Samaalee Thaa Sabh Dhukh Lathhaa ||
जीइ समाली ता सभु दुखु लथा ॥
When I dwell upon Him in my soul, all my sorrows depart.
ਚਿੰਤਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਗਈ ਹਉ ਪੀੜਾ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Chinthaa Rog Gee Ho Peerraa Aap Karae Prathipaalaa Jeeo ||2||
चिंता रोगु गई हउ पीड़ा आपि करे प्रतिपाला जीउ ॥२॥
The sickness of anxiety and the disease of ego are cured; He Himself cherishes me. ||2||
ਬਾਰਿਕ ਵਾਂਗੀ ਹਉ ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਮੰਗਾ ॥
Baarik Vaangee Ho Sabh Kishh Mangaa ||
बारिक वांगी हउ सभ किछु मंगा ॥
Like a child, I ask for everything.
ਦੇਦੇ ਤੋਟਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰੰਗਾ ॥
Dhaedhae Thott Naahee Prabh Rangaa ||
देदे तोटि नाही प्रभ रंगा ॥
God is Bountiful and Beautiful; He never comes up empty.
ਪੈਰੀ ਪੈ ਪੈ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਮਨਾਈ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਗੋਪਾਲਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Pairee Pai Pai Bahuth Manaaee Dheen Dhaeiaal Gopaalaa Jeeo ||3||
पैरी पै पै बहुतु मनाई दीन दइआल गोपाला जीउ ॥३॥
Again and again, I fall at His Feet. He is Merciful to the meek, the Sustainer of the World. ||3||

जिनि बंधन काटे सगले मेरे ॥
Who has shattered all my bonds.
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਕੀਏ ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਸਾਲਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੮॥੧੫॥
Hiradhai Naam Dhae Niramal Keeeae Naanak Rang Rasaalaa Jeeo ||4||8||15||
हिरदै नामु दे निरमल कीए नानक रंगि रसाला जीउ ॥४॥८॥१५॥
With the Naam, the Name of the Lord, in my heart, I have been purified. O Nanak, His Love has imbued me with nectar. ||4||8||15||

दुख भंजन निधान अमोले ॥
O Destroyer of pain, Priceless Treasure,
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ਅਥਾਹ ਅਤੋਲੇ ॥
Nirabho Niravair Athhaah Atholae ||
निरभउ निरवैर अथाह अतोले ॥
Fearless, free of hate, Unfathomable, Immeasurable,
ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੰਭੌ ਮਨ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਠੰਢਾ ਥੀਵਾਂ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Akaal Moorath Ajoonee Sanbha Man Simarath Thandtaa Thheevaan Jeeo ||2||
अकाल मूरति अजूनी स्मभौ मन सिमरत ठंढा थीवां जीउ ॥२॥
Of Undying Form, Unborn, Self-illumined: remembering You in meditation, my mind is filled with a deep and profound peace. ||2||
ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗ ਗੋਪਾਲਾ ॥
Sadhaa Sangee Har Rang Gopaalaa ||
सदा संगी हरि रंग गोपाला ॥
The Joyous Lord, the Sustainer of the World, is my constant Companion.
ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ॥
Ooch Neech Karae Prathipaalaa ||
ऊच नीच करे प्रतिपाला ॥
He cherishes the high and the low.
ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਮਨੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਇਣੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਾਂ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Naam Rasaaein Man Thripathaaein Guramukh Anmrith Peevaan Jeeo ||3||
नामु रसाइणु मनु त्रिपताइणु गुरमुखि अम्रितु पीवां जीउ ॥३॥
The Nectar of the Name satisfies my mind. As Gurmukh, I drink in the Ambrosial Nectar. ||3||
ਦੁਖਿ ਸੁਖਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥
Dhukh Sukh Piaarae Thudhh Dhhiaaee ||
दुखि सुखि पिआरे तुधु धिआई ॥
In suffering and in comfort, I meditate on You, O Beloved.
ਏਹ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇ ਪਾਈ ॥
Eaeh Sumath Guroo Thae Paaee ||
एह सुमति गुरू ते पाई ॥
I have obtained this sublime understanding from the Guru.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਧਰ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੀਵਾਂ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੯॥੧੬॥
Naanak Kee Dhhar Thoonhai Thaakur Har Rang Paar Pareevaan Jeeo ||4||9||16||
नानक की धर तूंहै ठाकुर हरि रंगि पारि परीवां जीउ ॥४॥९॥१६॥
You are Nanak's Support, O my Lord and Master; through Your Love, I swim across to the other side. ||4||9||16||

धंनु सु वेला जितु मै सतिगुरु मिलिआ ॥
Blessed is that time when I meet the True Guru.
ਸਫਲੁ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਪੇਖਤ ਤਰਿਆ ॥
Safal Dharasan Naethr Paekhath Thariaa ||
सफलु दरसनु नेत्र पेखत तरिआ ॥
Gazing upon the Fruitful Vision of His Darshan, I have been saved.
ਧੰਨੁ ਮੂਰਤ ਚਸੇ ਪਲ ਘੜੀਆ ਧੰਨਿ ਸੁ ਓਇ ਸੰਜੋਗਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥

धंनु मूरत चसे पल घड़ीआ धंनि सु ओइ संजोगा जीउ ॥१॥
Blessed are the hours, the minutes and the seconds-blessed is that Union with Him. ||1||
ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰਤ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਆ ॥

उदमु करत मनु निरमलु होआ ॥
Making the effort, my mind has become pure.
ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਚਲਤ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਸਗਲਾ ਖੋਇਆ ॥
Har Maarag Chalath Bhram Sagalaa Khoeiaa ||
हरि मारगि चलत भ्रमु सगला खोइआ ॥
Walking on the Lord's Path, my doubts have all been cast out.
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਏ ਸਗਲੇ ਰੋਗਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Naam Nidhhaan Sathiguroo Sunaaeiaa Mitt Geae Sagalae Rogaa Jeeo ||2||
नामु निधानु सतिगुरू सुणाइआ मिटि गए सगले रोगा जीउ ॥२॥
The True Guru has inspired me to hear the Treasure of the Naam; all my illness has been dispelled. ||2||
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
Anthar Baahar Thaeree Baanee ||
अंतरि बाहरि तेरी बाणी ॥
The Word of Your Bani is inside and outside as well.
ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਥੀ ਤੈ ਆਪਿ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥
Thudhh Aap Kathhee Thai Aap Vakhaanee ||
तुधु आपि कथी तै आपि वखाणी ॥
You Yourself chant it, and You Yourself speak it.
ਗੁਰਿ ਕਹਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਏਕੋ ਏਕੋ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਇਗਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Gur Kehiaa Sabh Eaeko Eaeko Avar N Koee Hoeigaa Jeeo ||3||
गुरि कहिआ सभु एको एको अवरु न कोई होइगा जीउ ॥३॥
The Guru has said that He is One-All is the One. There shall never be any other. ||3||
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪੀਆ ॥
Anmrith Ras Har Gur Thae Peeaa ||
अम्रित रसु हरि गुर ते पीआ ॥
I drink in the Lord's Ambrosial Essence from the Guru;
ਹਰਿ ਪੈਨਣੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਥੀਆ ॥
Har Painan Naam Bhojan Thheeaa ||
हरि पैनणु नामु भोजनु थीआ ॥
The Lord's Name has become my clothing and food.
ਨਾਮਿ ਰੰਗ ਨਾਮਿ ਚੋਜ ਤਮਾਸੇ ਨਾਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀਨੇ ਭੋਗਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੧੭॥
Naam Rang Naam Choj Thamaasae Naao Naanak Keenae Bhogaa Jeeo ||4||10||17||
नामि रंग नामि चोज तमासे नाउ नानक कीने भोगा जीउ ॥४॥१०॥१७॥
The Name is my delight, the Name is my play and entertainment. O Nanak, I have made the Name my enjoyment. ||4||10||17||

ਸਗਲ ਸੰਤਨ ਪਹਿ ਵਸਤੁ ਇਕ ਮਾਂਗਉ ॥

सगल संतन पहि वसतु इक मांगउ ॥
I beg of all the Saints: please, give me the merchandise.
ਕਰਉ ਬਿਨੰਤੀ ਮਾਨੁ ਤਿਆਗਉ ॥
Karo Binanthee Maan Thiaago ||
करउ बिनंती मानु तिआगउ ॥
I offer my prayers-I have forsaken my pride.
ਵਾਰਿ ਵਾਰਿ ਜਾਈ ਲਖ ਵਰੀਆ ਦੇਹੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
Vaar Vaar Jaaee Lakh Vareeaa Dhaehu Santhan Kee Dhhooraa Jeeo ||1||
वारि वारि जाई लख वरीआ देहु संतन की धूरा जीउ ॥१॥
I am a sacrifice, hundreds of thousands of times a sacrifice, and I pray: please, give me the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||1||
ਤੁਮ ਦਾਤੇ ਤੁਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ॥
Thum Dhaathae Thum Purakh Bidhhaathae ||
तुम दाते तुम पुरख बिधाते ॥
You are the Giver, You are the Architect of Destiny.
ਤੁਮ ਸਮਰਥ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ॥
Thum Samarathh Sadhaa Sukhadhaathae ||
तुम समरथ सदा सुखदाते ॥
You are All-powerful, the Giver of Eternal Peace.
ਸਭ ਕੋ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਵਰਸਾਵੈ ਅਉਸਰੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Sabh Ko Thum Hee Thae Varasaavai Aousar Karahu Hamaaraa Pooraa Jeeo ||2||
सभ को तुम ही ते वरसावै अउसरु करहु हमारा पूरा जीउ ॥२॥
You bless everyone. Please bring my life to fulfillment. ||2||
ਦਰਸਨਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਭਵਨ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ॥
Dharasan Thaerai Bhavan Puneethaa ||
दरसनि तेरै भवन पुनीता ॥
The body-temple is sanctified by the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan,
ਆਤਮ ਗੜੁ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਤਿਨਾ ਹੀ ਜੀਤਾ ॥
Aatham Garr Bikham Thinaa Hee Jeethaa ||
आतम गड़ु बिखमु तिना ही जीता ॥
And thus, the impregnable fort of the soul is conquered.
ਤੁਮ ਦਾਤੇ ਤੁਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਸੂਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
