मोहि रैणि न विहावै नीद न आवै बिनु देखे गुर दरबारे जीउ ॥३॥
I cannot endure the night, and sleep does not come, without the Sight of the Beloved Guru's Court. ||3||

By good fortune, I have met the Saint Guru.
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

प्रभु अबिनासी घर महि पाइआ ॥
I have found the Immortal Lord within the home of my own self.
ਸੇਵ ਕਰੀ ਪਲੁ ਚਸਾ ਨ ਵਿਛੁੜਾ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥

सेव करी पलु चसा न विछुड़ा जन नानक दास तुमारे जीउ ॥४॥

Sweet is that season when I remember You.

So Kanm Suhaelaa Jo Thaeree Ghaalee ||
सो कमु सुहेला जो तेरी घाली ॥
Sublime is that work which is done for You.
ਸੋ ਰਿਦਾ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਤੂੰ ਵੁਠਾ ਸਭਨਾ ਕੇ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
So Ridhaa Suhaelaa Jith Ridhai Thoon Vuthaa Sabhanaa Kae Dhaathaaraa Jeeo ||1||
सो रिदा सुहेला जितु रिदै तूं वुठा सभना के दातारा जीउ ॥१॥
Blessed is that heart in which You dwell, O Giver of all. ||1||
ਤੂੰ ਸਾਝਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਬਾਪੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥
Thoon Saajhaa Saahib Baap Hamaaraa ||
तूं साझा साहिबु बापु हमारा ॥
You are the Universal Father of all, O my Lord and Master.
ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਅਖੁਟ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥
No Nidhh Thaerai Akhutt Bhanddaaraa ||
नउ निधि तेरै अखुट भंडारा ॥
Your nine treasures are an inexhaustible storehouse.
ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ ਸੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਗਤੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Jis Thoon Dhaehi S Thripath Aghaavai Soee Bhagath Thumaaraa Jeeo ||2||
जिसु तूं देहि सु त्रिपति अघावै सोई भगतु तुमारा जीउ ॥२॥
Those unto whom You give are satisfied and fulfilled; they become Your devotees, Lord. ||2||
ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਆਸੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੈਠਾ ॥
Sabh Ko Aasai Thaeree Baithaa ||
सभु को आसै तेरी बैठा ॥
All place their hopes in You.
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਵੁਠਾ ॥
Ghatt Ghatt Anthar Thoonhai Vuthaa ||
घट घट अंतरि तूंहै वुठा ॥
You dwell deep within each and every heart.
ਸਭੇ ਸਾਝੀਵਾਲ ਸਦਾਇਨਿ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਦਿਸਹਿ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Sabhae Saajheevaal Sadhaaein Thoon Kisai N Dhisehi Baaharaa Jeeo ||3||
सभे साझीवाल सदाइनि तूं किसै न दिसहि बाहरा जीउ ॥३॥
All share in Your Grace; none are beyond You. ||3||
ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਰਾਇਹਿ ॥
Thoon Aapae Guramukh Mukath Karaaeihi ||
तूं आपे गुरमुखि मुकति कराइहि ॥
You Yourself liberate the Gurmukhs;
ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਜਨਮਿ ਭਵਾਇਹਿ ॥
Thoon Aapae Manamukh Janam Bhavaaeihi ||
तूं आपे मनमुखि जनमि भवाइहि ॥
You Yourself consign the self-willed manmukhs to wander in reincarnation.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਖੇਲੁ ਦਸਾਹਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨॥੯॥
Naanak Dhaas Thaerai Balihaarai Sabh Thaeraa Khael Dhasaaharaa Jeeo ||4||2||9||
नानक दास तेरै बलिहारै सभु तेरा खेलु दसाहरा जीउ ॥४॥२॥९॥
Slave Nanak is a sacrifice to You; Your Entire Play is self-evident, Lord. ||4||2||9||

अनहदु वाजै सहजि सुहेला ॥
The Unstruck Melody resounds and resonates in peaceful ease.
ਸਬਦਿ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਰੇ ਸਦ ਕੇਲਾ ॥
Sabadh Anandh Karae Sadh Kaelaa ||
सबदि अनंद करे सद केला ॥
I rejoice in the eternal bliss of the Word of the Shabad.
ਸਹਜ ਗੁਫਾ ਮਹਿ ਤਾੜੀ ਲਾਈ ਆਸਣੁ ਊਚ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
Sehaj Gufaa Mehi Thaarree Laaee Aasan Ooch Savaariaa Jeeo ||1||
सहज गुफा महि ताड़ी लाई आसणु ऊच सवारिआ जीउ ॥१॥
In the cave of intuitive wisdom I sit, absorbed in the silent trance of the Primal Void. I have obtained my seat in the heavens. ||1||
ਫਿਰਿ ਘਿਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮਹਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
Fir Ghir Apunae Grih Mehi Aaeiaa ||
फिरि घिरि अपुने ग्रिह महि आइआ ॥
After wandering through many other homes and houses, I have returned to my own home,
ਜੋ ਲੋੜੀਦਾ ਸੋਈ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Jo Lorreedhaa Soee Paaeiaa ||
जो लोड़ीदा सोई पाइआ ॥
And I have found what I was longing for.
ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਇ ਰਹਿਆ ਹੈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਅਨਭਉ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਦਿਖਾਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Thripath Aghaae Rehiaa Hai Santhahu Gur Anabho Purakh Dhikhaariaa Jeeo ||2||
त्रिपति अघाइ रहिआ है संतहु गुरि अनभउ पुरखु दिखारिआ जीउ ॥२॥
I am satisfied and fulfilled; O Saints, the Guru has shown me the Fearless Lord God. ||2||
ਆਪੇ ਰਾਜਨੁ ਆਪੇ ਲੋਗਾ ॥
Aapae Raajan Aapae Logaa ||
आपे राजनु आपे लोगा ॥
He Himself is the King, and He Himself is the people.
ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ਆਪੇ ਭੋਗਾ ॥
Aap Nirabaanee Aapae Bhogaa ||
आपि निरबाणी आपे भोगा ॥
He Himself is in Nirvaanaa, and He Himself indulges in pleasures.
ਆਪੇ ਤਖਤਿ ਬਹੈ ਸਚੁ ਨਿਆਈ ਸਭ ਚੂਕੀ ਕੂਕ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Aapae Thakhath Behai Sach Niaaee Sabh Chookee Kook Pukaariaa Jeeo ||3||
आपे तखति बहै सचु निआई सभ चूकी कूक पुकारिआ जीउ ॥३॥
He Himself sits on the throne of true justice, answering the cries and prayers of all. ||3||
ਜੇਹਾ ਡਿਠਾ ਮੈ ਤੇਹੋ ਕਹਿਆ ॥
Jaehaa Ddithaa Mai Thaeho Kehiaa ||
जेहा डिठा मै तेहो कहिआ ॥
As I have seen Him, so have I described Him.
ਤਿਸੁ ਰਸੁ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਭੇਦੁ ਲਹਿਆ ॥
This Ras Aaeiaa Jin Bhaedh Lehiaa ||
तिसु रसु आइआ जिनि भेदु लहिआ ॥
This Sublime Essence comes only to one who knows the Mystery of the Lord.
ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਕੁ ਪਸਾਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੦॥
Jothee Joth Milee Sukh Paaeiaa Jan Naanak Eik Pasaariaa Jeeo ||4||3||10||
जोती जोति मिली सुखु पाइआ जन नानक इकु पसारिआ जीउ ॥४॥३॥१०॥
His light merges into the Light, and he finds peace. O servant Nanak, this is all the Extension of the One. ||4||3||10||

ਜਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਪਿਰਿ ਸੋਹਾਗੁ ਬਣਾਇਆ ॥

जितु घरि पिरि सोहागु बणाइआ ॥
That house, in which the soul-bride has married her Husband Lord
ਤਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਸਖੀਏ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ॥
Thith Ghar Sakheeeae Mangal Gaaeiaa ||
तितु घरि सखीए मंगलु गाइआ ॥
In that house, O my companions, sing the songs of rejoicing.
ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਤਿਤੈ ਘਰਿ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਜੋ ਧਨ ਕੰਤਿ ਸਿਗਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
Anadh Binodh Thithai Ghar Sohehi Jo Dhhan Kanth Sigaaree Jeeo ||1||
अनद बिनोद तितै घरि सोहहि जो धन कंति सिगारी जीउ ॥१॥
Joy and celebrations decorate that house, in which the Husband Lord has adorned His soul-bride. ||1||
ਸਾ ਗੁਣਵੰਤੀ ਸਾ ਵਡਭਾਗਣਿ ॥
Saa Gunavanthee Saa Vaddabhaagan ||
सा गुणवंती सा वडभागणि ॥
She is virtuous, and she is very fortunate;
ਪੁਤ੍ਰਵੰਤੀ ਸੀਲਵੰਤਿ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ॥
Puthravanthee Seelavanth Sohaagan ||
पुत्रवंती सीलवंति सोहागणि ॥
She is blessed with sons and tender-hearted. The happy soul-bride is loved by her Husband.
ਰੂਪਵੰਤਿ ਸਾ ਸੁਘੜਿ ਬਿਚਖਣਿ ਜੋ ਧਨ ਕੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Roopavanth Saa Sugharr Bichakhan Jo Dhhan Kanth Piaaree Jeeo ||2||
रूपवंति सा सुघड़ि बिचखणि जो धन कंत पिआरी जीउ ॥२॥
She is beautiful, wise, and clever. That soul-bride is the beloved of her Husband Lord. ||2||
ਅਚਾਰਵੰਤਿ ਸਾਈ ਪਰਧਾਨੇ ॥
Achaaravanth Saaee Paradhhaanae ||
अचारवंति साई परधाने ॥
She is well-mannered, noble and distinguished.
ਸਭ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਬਣੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਗਿਆਨੇ ॥
Sabh Singaar Banae This Giaanae ||
सभ सिंगार बणे तिसु गिआने ॥
She is decorated and adorned with wisdom.
ਸਾ ਕੁਲਵੰਤੀ ਸਾ ਸਭਰਾਈ ਜੋ ਪਿਰਿ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Saa Kulavanthee Saa Sabharaaee Jo Pir Kai Rang Savaaree Jeeo ||3||
सा कुलवंती सा सभराई जो पिरि कै रंगि सवारी जीउ ॥३॥
She is from a most respected family; she is the queen, adorned with the Love of her Husband Lord. ||3||
ਮਹਿਮਾ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥
Mehimaa This Kee Kehan N Jaaeae ||
महिमा तिस की कहणु न जाए ॥
Her glory cannot be described;
ਜੋ ਪਿਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਈ ਅੰਗਿ ਲਾਏ ॥
Jo Pir Mael Lee Ang Laaeae ||
जो पिरि मेलि लई अंगि लाए ॥
She melts in the Embrace of her Husband Lord.
