Aithhai Milehi Vaddaaeeaa Dharagehi Paavehi Thhaao ||3||
ऐथै मिलहि वडाईआ दरगहि पावहि थाउ ॥३॥
In this world you shall be blessed with greatness, and in the Court of the Lord you shall find your place of rest. ||3||
ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਏ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤਿਸ ਹੀ ਹਾਥਿ ॥
Karae Karaaeae Aap Prabh Sabh Kishh This Hee Haathh ||
करे कराए आपि प्रभु सभु किछु तिस ही हाथि ॥
God Himself acts, and causes others to act; everything is in His Hands.
ਮਾਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਜੀਵਾਲਦਾ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸਾਥਿ ॥
Maar Aapae Jeevaaladhaa Anthar Baahar Saathh ||
मारि आपे जीवालदा अंतरि बाहरि साथि ॥
He Himself bestows life and death; He is with us, within and beyond.

सरणि पए प्रभ आपणे गुरु होआ किरपालु ॥
The Guru is Merciful; we seek the Sanctuary of God.
ਸਤਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਉਪਦੇਸਿਐ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਸਰਬ ਜੰਜਾਲ ॥
Sathagur Kai Oupadhaesiai Binasae Sarab Janjaal ||
सतगुर कै उपदेसिऐ बिनसे सरब जंजाल ॥
Through the Teachings of the True Guru, all worldly entanglements are eliminated.

अंदरु लगा राम नामि अम्रित नदरि निहालु ॥१॥
The Name of the Lord is firmly implanted within my mind; through His Ambrosial Glance of Grace, I am exalted and enraptured. ||1||

मन मेरे सतिगुर सेवा सारु ॥

करे दइआ प्रभु आपणी इक निमख न मनहु विसारु ॥ रहाउ ॥
God Himself grants His Grace; do not forget Him, even for an instant. ||Pause||
ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਨਿਤ ਗਾਵੀਅਹਿ ਅਵਗੁਣ ਕਟਣਹਾਰ ॥
Gun Govindh Nith Gaaveeahi Avagun Kattanehaar ||
गुण गोविंद नित गावीअहि अवगुण कटणहार ॥
Continually sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, the Destroyer of demerits.
ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਨ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ਕਰਿ ਡਿਠੇ ਬਿਸਥਾਰ ॥
Bin Har Naam N Sukh Hoe Kar Ddithae Bisathhaar ||
बिनु हरि नाम न सुखु होइ करि डिठे बिसथार ॥
Without the Name of the Lord, there is no peace. Having tried all sorts of ostentatious displays, I have come to see this.
ਸਹਜੇ ਸਿਫਤੀ ਰਤਿਆ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਉਤਰੇ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
Sehajae Sifathee Rathiaa Bhavajal Outharae Paar ||2||
सहजे सिफती रतिआ भवजलु उतरे पारि ॥२॥
Intuitively imbued with His Praises, one is saved, crossing over the terrifying world-ocean. ||2||
ਤੀਰਥ ਵਰਤ ਲਖ ਸੰਜਮਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰਿ ॥
Theerathh Varath Lakh Sanjamaa Paaeeai Saadhhoo Dhhoor ||
तीरथ वरत लख संजमा पाईऐ साधू धूरि ॥
The merits of pilgrimages, fasts and hundreds of thousands of techniques of austere self-discipline are found in the dust of the feet of the Holy.
ਲੂਕਿ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਕਿਸ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਵੇਖੈ ਸਦਾ ਹਦੂਰਿ ॥
Look Kamaavai Kis Thae Jaa Vaekhai Sadhaa Hadhoor ||
लूकि कमावै किस ते जा वेखै सदा हदूरि ॥
From whom are you trying to hide your actions? God sees all;
ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥੩॥

थान थनंतरि रवि रहिआ प्रभु मेरा भरपूरि ॥३॥
He is Ever-present. My God is totally pervading all places and interspaces. ||3||
ਸਚੁ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ ਅਮਰੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਚੇ ਸਚਾ ਥਾਨੁ ॥
Sach Paathisaahee Amar Sach Sachae Sachaa Thhaan ||
सचु पातिसाही अमरु सचु सचे सचा थानु ॥
True is His Empire, and True is His Command. True is His Seat of True Authority.
ਸਚੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਧਾਰੀਅਨੁ ਸਚਿ ਸਿਰਜਿਓਨੁ ਜਹਾਨੁ ॥
Sachee Kudharath Dhhaareean Sach Sirajioun Jehaan ||
सची कुदरति धारीअनु सचि सिरजिओनु जहानु ॥
True is the Creative Power which He has created. True is the world which He has fashioned.
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਪੀਐ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਉ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੁ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੮੬॥

संतसंगि हरि सिमरणा मलु जनम जनम की काटि ॥१॥
In the Society of the Saints, meditate in remembrance on the Lord, and wash off the filth of countless incarnations. ||1||

मन मेरे राम नामु जपि जापु ॥

Man Eishhae Fal Bhunch Thoo Sabh Chookai Sog Santhaap || Rehaao ||
मन इछे फल भुंचि तू सभु चूकै सोगु संतापु ॥ रहाउ ॥
Enjoy the fruits of your mind's desires; all suffering and sorrow shall depart. ||Pause||
ਜਿਸੁ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਤਨੁ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਡਿਠਾ ਨਾਲਿ ॥

जिसु कारणि तनु धारिआ सो प्रभु डिठा नालि ॥
For His sake, you assumed this body; see God always with you.
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿ ॥੨॥
Jal Thhal Meheeal Pooriaa Prabh Aapanee Nadhar Nihaal ||2||
जलि थलि महीअलि पूरिआ प्रभु आपणी नदरि निहालि ॥२॥
God is pervading the water, the land and the sky; He sees all with His Glance of Grace. ||2||
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇਆ ਲਾਗੀ ਸਾਚੁ ਪਰੀਤਿ ॥
Man Than Niramal Hoeiaa Laagee Saach Pareeth ||
मनु तनु निरमलु होइआ लागी साचु परीति ॥
The mind and body become spotlessly pure, enshrining love for the True Lord.
ਚਰਣ ਭਜੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੇ ਸਭਿ ਜਪ ਤਪ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਿ ॥੩॥
Charan Bhajae Paarabreham Kae Sabh Jap Thap Thin Hee Keeth ||3||
चरण भजे पारब्रहम के सभि जप तप तिन ही कीति ॥३॥
One who dwells upon the Feet of the Supreme Lord God has truly performed all meditations and austerities. ||3||

रतन जवेहर माणिका अम्रितु हरि का नाउ ॥
The Ambrosial Name of the Lord is a Gem, a Jewel, a Pearl.

सूख सहज आनंद रस जन नानक हरि गुण गाउ ॥४॥१७॥८७॥
The essence of intuitive peace and bliss is obtained, O servant Nanak, by singing the Glories of God. ||4||17||87||

सोई सासतु सउणु सोइ जितु जपीऐ हरि नाउ ॥
That is the essence of the scriptures, and that is a good omen, by which one comes to chant the Name of the Lord.
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਗੁਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਦੀਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਨਿਥਾਵੇ ਥਾਉ ॥
Charan Kamal Gur Dhhan Dheeaa Miliaa Nithhaavae Thhaao ||
चरण कमल गुरि धनु दीआ मिलिआ निथावे थाउ ॥
The Guru has given me the Wealth of the Lotus Feet of the Lord, and I, without shelter, have now obtained Shelter.
ਸਾਚੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਸਚੁ ਸੰਜਮੋ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
Saachee Poonjee Sach Sanjamo Aath Pehar Gun Gaao ||
साची पूंजी सचु संजमो आठ पहर गुण गाउ ॥
The True Capital, and the True Way of Life, comes by chanting His Glories, twenty-four hours a day.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਮਰਣੁ ਨ ਆਵਣੁ ਜਾਉ ॥੧॥
Kar Kirapaa Prabh Bhaettiaa Maran N Aavan Jaao ||1||
करि किरपा प्रभु भेटिआ मरणु न आवणु जाउ ॥१॥
Granting His Grace, God meets us, and we no longer die, or come or go in reincarnation. ||1||

मेरे मन हरि भजु सदा इक रंगि ॥
O my mind, vibrate and meditate forever on the Lord, with single-minded love.
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

घट घट अंतरि रवि रहिआ सदा सहाई संगि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

ਜਿਨ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਸੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸਿਆ ਉਹ ਰਸੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਿੰਦੁ ॥
Jin Chaakhiaa Sae Thripathaasiaa Ouh Ras Jaanai Jindh ||
जिन चाखिआ से त्रिपतासिआ उह रसु जाणै जिंदु ॥
Those who taste it are satisfied and fulfilled; their souls know this Sublime Essence.
