आदि अनीलु अनादि अनाहति जुगु जुगु एको वेसु ॥२९॥
The Primal One, the Pure Light, without beginning, without end. Throughout all the ages, He is One and the Same. ||29||
ਏਕਾ ਮਾਈ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਵਿਆਈ ਤਿਨਿ ਚੇਲੇ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
Eaekaa Maaee Jugath Viaaee Thin Chaelae Paravaan ||
एका माई जुगति विआई तिनि चेले परवाणु ॥
The One Divine Mother conceived and gave birth to the three deities.
ਇਕੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਇਕੁ ਭੰਡਾਰੀ ਇਕੁ ਲਾਏ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ॥
Eik Sansaaree Eik Bhanddaaree Eik Laaeae Dheebaan ||
इकु संसारी इकु भंडारी इकु लाए दीबाणु ॥
One, the Creator of the World; One, the Sustainer; and One, the Destroyer.
ਜਿਵ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਵੈ ਚਲਾਵੈ ਜਿਵ ਹੋਵੈ ਫੁਰਮਾਣੁ ॥
Jiv This Bhaavai Thivai Chalaavai Jiv Hovai Furamaan ||
जिव तिसु भावै तिवै चलावै जिव होवै फुरमाणु ॥
He makes things happen according to the Pleasure of His Will. Such is His Celestial Order.
ਓਹੁ ਵੇਖੈ ਓਨਾ ਨਦਰਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਏਹੁ ਵਿਡਾਣੁ ॥
Ouhu Vaekhai Ounaa Nadhar N Aavai Bahuthaa Eaehu Viddaan ||
ओहु वेखै ओना नदरि न आवै बहुता एहु विडाणु ॥
He watches over all, but none see Him. How wonderful this is!
ਆਦੇਸੁ ਤਿਸੈ ਆਦੇਸੁ ॥

ਆਸਣੁ ਲੋਇ ਲੋਇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥
Aasan Loe Loe Bhanddaar ||
आसणु लोइ लोइ भंडार ॥
On world after world are His Seats of Authority and His Storehouses.
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੁ ਏਕਾ ਵਾਰ ॥
Jo Kishh Paaeiaa S Eaekaa Vaar ||
जो किछु पाइआ सु एका वार ॥
Whatever was put into them, was put there once and for all.
ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
Kar Kar Vaekhai Sirajanehaar ||
करि करि वेखै सिरजणहारु ॥
Having created the creation, the Creator Lord watches over it.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ ਸਾਚੀ ਕਾਰ ॥
Naanak Sachae Kee Saachee Kaar ||
नानक सचे की साची कार ॥
O Nanak, True is the Creation of the True Lord.

ਇਕ ਦੂ ਜੀਭੌ ਲਖ ਹੋਹਿ ਲਖ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਲਖ ਵੀਸ ॥
Eik Dhoo Jeebha Lakh Hohi Lakh Hovehi Lakh Vees ||
इक दू जीभौ लख होहि लख होवहि लख वीस ॥
If I had 100,000 tongues, and these were then multiplied twenty times more, with each tongue,
ਲਖੁ ਲਖੁ ਗੇੜਾ ਆਖੀਅਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਗਦੀਸ ॥
Lakh Lakh Gaerraa Aakheeahi Eaek Naam Jagadhees ||
लखु लखु गेड़ा आखीअहि एकु नामु जगदीस ॥
I would repeat, hundreds of thousands of times, the Name of the One, the Lord of the Universe.
ਏਤੁ ਰਾਹਿ ਪਤਿ ਪਵੜੀਆ ਚੜੀਐ ਹੋਇ ਇਕੀਸ ॥
Eaeth Raahi Path Pavarreeaa Charreeai Hoe Eikees ||
एतु राहि पति पवड़ीआ चड़ीऐ होइ इकीस ॥
Along this path to our Husband Lord, we climb the steps of the ladder, and come to merge with Him.
ਸੁਣਿ ਗਲਾ ਆਕਾਸ ਕੀ ਕੀਟਾ ਆਈ ਰੀਸ ॥
Sun Galaa Aakaas Kee Keettaa Aaee Rees ||
सुणि गला आकास की कीटा आई रीस ॥
Hearing of the etheric realms, even worms long to come back home.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਕੂੜੀ ਕੂੜੈ ਠੀਸ ॥੩੨॥
Naanak Nadharee Paaeeai Koorree Koorrai Thees ||32||
नानक नदरी पाईऐ कूड़ी कूड़ै ठीस ॥३२॥
O Nanak, by His Grace He is obtained. False are the boastings of the false. ||32||
ਆਖਣਿ ਜੋਰੁ ਚੁਪੈ ਨਹ ਜੋਰੁ ॥

आखणि जोरु चुपै नह जोरु ॥
No power to speak, no power to keep silent.
ਜੋਰੁ ਨ ਮੰਗਣਿ ਦੇਣਿ ਨ ਜੋਰੁ ॥
Jor N Mangan Dhaen N Jor ||
जोरु न मंगणि देणि न जोरु ॥
No power to beg, no power to give.
ਜੋਰੁ ਨ ਜੀਵਣਿ ਮਰਣਿ ਨਹ ਜੋਰੁ ॥
Jor N Jeevan Maran Neh Jor ||
जोरु न जीवणि मरणि नह जोरु ॥
No power to live, no power to die.
ਜੋਰੁ ਨ ਰਾਜਿ ਮਾਲਿ ਮਨਿ ਸੋਰੁ ॥
Jor N Raaj Maal Man Sor ||
जोरु न राजि मालि मनि सोरु ॥
No power to rule, with wealth and occult mental powers.
ਜੋਰੁ ਨ ਸੁਰਤੀ ਗਿਆਨਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
Jor N Surathee Giaan Veechaar ||
जोरु न सुरती गिआनि वीचारि ॥
No power to gain intuitive understanding, spiritual wisdom and meditation.
ਜੋਰੁ ਨ ਜੁਗਤੀ ਛੁਟੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
Jor N Jugathee Shhuttai Sansaar ||
जोरु न जुगती छुटै संसारु ॥
No power to find the way to escape from the world.
ਜਿਸੁ ਹਥਿ ਜੋਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਸੋਇ ॥
Jis Hathh Jor Kar Vaekhai Soe ||
जिसु हथि जोरु करि वेखै सोइ ॥
He alone has the Power in His Hands. He watches over all.
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਤਮੁ ਨੀਚੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥੩੩॥
Naanak Outham Neech N Koe ||33||
नानक उतमु नीचु न कोइ ॥३३॥
O Nanak, no one is high or low. ||33||
ਰਾਤੀ ਰੁਤੀ ਥਿਤੀ ਵਾਰ ॥
Raathee Ruthee Thhithee Vaar ||
राती रुती थिती वार ॥
Nights, days, weeks and seasons;
ਪਵਣ ਪਾਣੀ ਅਗਨੀ ਪਾਤਾਲ ॥
Pavan Paanee Aganee Paathaal ||
पवण पाणी अगनी पाताल ॥
Wind, water, fire and the nether regions
ਤਿਸੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਧਰਤੀ ਥਾਪਿ ਰਖੀ ਧਰਮ ਸਾਲ ॥
This Vich Dhharathee Thhaap Rakhee Dhharam Saal ||
तिसु विचि धरती थापि रखी धरम साल ॥
In the midst of these, He established the earth as a home for Dharma.
ਤਿਸੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਜੀਅ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਕੇ ਰੰਗ ॥
This Vich Jeea Jugath Kae Rang ||
तिसु विचि जीअ जुगति के रंग ॥
Upon it, He placed the various species of beings.
ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਨੇਕ ਅਨੰਤ ॥
Thin Kae Naam Anaek Ananth ||
तिन के नाम अनेक अनंत ॥
Their names are uncounted and endless.
ਕਰਮੀ ਕਰਮੀ ਹੋਇ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
Karamee Karamee Hoe Veechaar ||
करमी करमी होइ वीचारु ॥
By their deeds and their actions, they shall be judged.
ਸਚਾ ਆਪਿ ਸਚਾ ਦਰਬਾਰੁ ॥
Sachaa Aap Sachaa Dharabaar ||
सचा आपि सचा दरबारु ॥
God Himself is True, and True is His Court.
ਤਿਥੈ ਸੋਹਨਿ ਪੰਚ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
Thithhai Sohan Panch Paravaan ||
तिथै सोहनि पंच परवाणु ॥
There, in perfect grace and ease, sit the self-elect, the self-realized Saints.
ਨਦਰੀ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਵੈ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥
Nadharee Karam Pavai Neesaan ||
नदरी करमि पवै नीसाणु ॥
They receive the Mark of Grace from the Merciful Lord.
ਕਚ ਪਕਾਈ ਓਥੈ ਪਾਇ ॥
Kach Pakaaee Outhhai Paae ||
कच पकाई ओथै पाइ ॥
The ripe and the unripe, the good and the bad, shall there be judged.
ਨਾਨਕ ਗਇਆ ਜਾਪੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੩੪॥
Naanak Gaeiaa Jaapai Jaae ||34||
नानक गइआ जापै जाइ ॥३४॥
O Nanak, when you go home, you will see this. ||34||
ਧਰਮ ਖੰਡ ਕਾ ਏਹੋ ਧਰਮੁ ॥
Dhharam Khandd Kaa Eaeho Dhharam ||
धरम खंड का एहो धरमु ॥
This is righteous living in the realm of Dharma.
ਗਿਆਨ ਖੰਡ ਕਾ ਆਖਹੁ ਕਰਮੁ ॥
Giaan Khandd Kaa Aakhahu Karam ||
गिआन खंड का आखहु करमु ॥
And now we speak of the realm of spiritual wisdom.
ਕੇਤੇ ਪਵਣ ਪਾਣੀ ਵੈਸੰਤਰ ਕੇਤੇ ਕਾਨ ਮਹੇਸ ॥
Kaethae Pavan Paanee Vaisanthar Kaethae Kaan Mehaes ||
केते पवण पाणी वैसंतर केते कान महेस ॥
So many winds, waters and fires; so many Krishnas and Shivas.
ਕੇਤੇ ਬਰਮੇ ਘਾੜਤਿ ਘੜੀਅਹਿ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਕੇ ਵੇਸ ॥
Kaethae Baramae Ghaarrath Gharreeahi Roop Rang Kae Vaes ||
केते बरमे घाड़ति घड़ीअहि रूप रंग के वेस ॥
So many Brahmas, fashioning forms of great beauty, adorned and dressed in many colors.
ਕੇਤੀਆ ਕਰਮ ਭੂਮੀ ਮੇਰ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਧੂ ਉਪਦੇਸ ॥
Kaetheeaa Karam Bhoomee Maer Kaethae Kaethae Dhhoo Oupadhaes ||
केतीआ करम भूमी मेर केते केते धू उपदेस ॥
So many worlds and lands for working out karma. So very many lessons to be learned!
ਕੇਤੇ ਇੰਦ ਚੰਦ ਸੂਰ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਮੰਡਲ ਦੇਸ ॥
Kaethae Eindh Chandh Soor Kaethae Kaethae Manddal Dhaes ||
केते इंद चंद सूर केते केते मंडल देस ॥
So many Indras, so many moons and suns, so many worlds and lands.
ਕੇਤੇ ਸਿਧ ਬੁਧ ਨਾਥ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਵੇਸ ॥
Kaethae Sidhh Budhh Naathh Kaethae Kaethae Dhaevee Vaes ||
केते सिध बुध नाथ केते केते देवी वेस ॥
So many Siddhas and Buddhas, so many Yogic masters. So many goddesses of various kinds.
ਕੇਤੇ ਦੇਵ ਦਾਨਵ ਮੁਨਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਰਤਨ ਸਮੁੰਦ ॥
Kaethae Dhaev Dhaanav Mun Kaethae Kaethae Rathan Samundh ||
केते देव दानव मुनि केते केते रतन समुंद ॥
So many demi-gods and demons, so many silent sages. So many oceans of jewels.
ਕੇਤੀਆ ਖਾਣੀ ਕੇਤੀਆ ਬਾਣੀ ਕੇਤੇ ਪਾਤ ਨਰਿੰਦ ॥
Kaetheeaa Khaanee Kaetheeaa Baanee Kaethae Paath Narindh ||
केतीआ खाणी केतीआ बाणी केते पात नरिंद ॥
So many ways of life, so many languages. So many dynasties of rulers.
ਕੇਤੀਆ ਸੁਰਤੀ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੇਤੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਅੰਤੁ ॥੩੫॥
Kaetheeaa Surathee Saevak Kaethae Naanak Anth N Anth ||35||
केतीआ सुरती सेवक केते नानक अंतु न अंतु ॥३५॥
So many intuitive people, so many selfless servants. O Nanak, His limit has no limit! ||35||
