Kaam Krodhh Eis Than Thae Maar ||
कामु क्रोधु इसु तन ते मारि ॥
Eliminate sexual desire and anger from this body.
ਹੋਇ ਰਹੀਐ ਸਗਲ ਕੀ ਰੀਨਾ ॥
Hoe Reheeai Sagal Kee Reenaa ||
होइ रहीऐ सगल की रीना ॥
Be the dust of all,
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਮਈਆ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਚੀਨਾ ॥੧॥
Ghatt Ghatt Rameeaa Sabh Mehi Cheenaa ||1||
घटि घटि रमईआ सभ महि चीना ॥१॥
And see the Lord in each and every heart, in all. ||1||
ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਰਮਹੁ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਗਬਿੰਦੁ ॥
Ein Bidhh Ramahu Gopaal Guobindh ||
इन बिधि रमहु गोपाल गोबिंदु ॥
In this way, dwell upon the Lord of the World, the Lord of the Universe.
ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਜਿੰਦੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

तनु धनु प्रभ का प्रभ की जिंदु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
My body and wealth belong to God; my soul belongs to God. ||1||Pause||
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
Aath Pehar Har Kae Gun Gaao ||
आठ पहर हरि के गुण गाउ ॥
Twenty-four hours a day, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਕੋ ਇਹੈ ਸੁਆਉ ॥
Jeea Praan Ko Eihai Suaao ||
जीअ प्रान को इहै सुआउ ॥
This is the purpose of human life.
ਤਜਿ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ਜਾਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੰਗਿ ॥
Thaj Abhimaan Jaan Prabh Sang ||
तजि अभिमानु जानु प्रभु संगि ॥
Renounce your egotistical pride, and know that God is with you.
ਸਾਧ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੨॥
Saadhh Prasaadh Har Sio Man Rang ||2||
साध प्रसादि हरि सिउ मनु रंगि ॥२॥
By the Grace of the Holy, let your mind be imbued with the Lord's Love. ||2||
ਜਿਨਿ ਤੂੰ ਕੀਆ ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਜਾਨੁ ॥
Jin Thoon Keeaa This Ko Jaan ||
जिनि तूं कीआ तिस कउ जानु ॥
Know the One who created you,
ਆਗੈ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਵੈ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
Aagai Dharageh Paavai Maan ||
आगै दरगह पावै मानु ॥
And in the world hereafter you shall be honored in the Court of the Lord.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ॥
Man Than Niramal Hoe Nihaal ||
मनु तनु निरमल होइ निहालु ॥
Your mind and body will be immaculate and blissful;
ਰਸਨਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥੩॥

रसना नामु जपत गोपाल ॥३॥
Chant the Name of the Lord of the Universe with your tongue. ||3||

करि किरपा मेरे दीन दइआला ॥
Grant Your Kind Mercy, O my Lord, Merciful to the meek.

Saadhhoo Kee Man Mangai Ravaalaa ||
साधू की मनु मंगै रवाला ॥
My mind begs for the dust of the feet of the Holy.
ਹੋਹੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਦੇਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਨੁ ॥

होहु दइआल देहु प्रभ दानु ॥
Be merciful, and bless me with this gift,

My incense and lamps are my service to the Lord.
ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਰ ਬੰਦਨ ਕਰਤਾਰ ॥
Anik Baar Bandhan Karathaar ||
अनिक बार बंदन करतार ॥
Time and time again, I humbly bow to the Creator.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਗਹੀ ਸਭ ਤਿਆਗਿ ॥
Prabh Kee Saran Gehee Sabh Thiaag ||
प्रभ की सरणि गही सभ तिआगि ॥
I have renounced everything, and grasped the Sanctuary of God.
ਗੁਰ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਭਏ ਵਡ ਭਾਗਿ ॥੧॥

गुर सुप्रसंन भए वड भागि ॥१॥
By great good fortune, the Guru has become pleased and satisfied with me. ||1||

The Supreme Lord God is the Perfect Forgiver.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਨ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਏ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Jan Saevaa Laaeae ||
करि किरपा जन सेवा लाए ॥
Granting His Mercy, He has linked His humble servants to His service.
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖ ਮੇਟਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥੨॥
Janam Maran Dhukh Maett Milaaeae ||2||
जनम मरण दुख मेटि मिलाए ॥२॥
He has rid me of the pains of birth and death, and merged me with Himself. ||2||
ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਇਹੁ ਤਤੁ ਗਿਆਨੁ ॥
Karam Dhharam Eihu Thath Giaan ||
करम धरम इहु ततु गिआनु ॥
This is the essence of karma, righteous conduct and spiritual wisdom,
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਪੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
Saadhhasang Japeeai Har Naam ||
साधसंगि जपीऐ हरि नामु ॥
To chant the Lord's Name in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਸਾਗਰ ਤਰਿ ਬੋਹਿਥ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਰਣ ॥

सागर तरि बोहिथ प्रभ चरण ॥
God's Feet are the boat to cross over the world-ocean.
ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾਰਣ ਕਰਣ ॥੩॥

अंतरजामी प्रभ कारण करण ॥३॥
God, the Inner-knower, is the Cause of causes. ||3||
ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਏ ਅਪਨੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥

राखि लीए अपनी किरपा धारि ॥
Showering His Mercy, He Himself has saved me.
ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤ ਭਾਗੇ ਬਿਕਰਾਲ ॥
Panch Dhooth Bhaagae Bikaraal ||
पंच दूत भागे बिकराल ॥
The five hideous demons have run away.
ਜੂਐ ਜਨਮੁ ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਹਾਰਿ ॥
Jooai Janam N Kabehoo Haar ||
जूऐ जनमु न कबहू हारि ॥
Do not lose your life in the gamble.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾ ਅੰਗੁ ਕੀਆ ਕਰਤਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੧੪॥

The Divine Guru has saved His child.

घट घट अंतरि सरब समाही ॥
He is contained deep within each and every heart.

अपने दास का हलतु पलतु सवारै ॥
He embellishes His slave, here and hereafter.
ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੈ ॥੨॥

पतित पावन प्रभ बिरदु तुम्हारै ॥२॥
It is Your nature, God, to purify sinners. ||2||

अउखध कोटि सिमरि गोबिंद ॥
Meditation on the Lord of the Universe is the medicine to cure millions of illnesses.

तंतु मंतु भजीऐ भगवंत ॥
My Tantra and Mantra is to meditate, to vibrate upon the Lord God.
ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਮਿਟੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਿਆਏ ॥

रोग सोग मिटे प्रभ धिआए ॥
Illnesses and pains are dispelled, meditating on God.
ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਪੂਰਨ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥
Man Baanshhath Pooran Fal Paaeae ||3||
मन बांछत पूरन फल पाए ॥३॥
The fruits of the mind's desires are fulfilled. ||3||
ਕਰਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਮਰਥ ਦਇਆਰ ॥
Karan Kaaran Samarathh Dhaeiaar ||
करन कारन समरथ दइआर ॥
He is the Cause of causes, the All-powerful Merciful Lord.
ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਮਹਾ ਬੀਚਾਰ ॥
Sarab Nidhhaan Mehaa Beechaar ||
सरब निधान महा बीचार ॥
Contemplating Him is the greatest of all treasures.
ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸਿ ਲੀਏ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ॥
Naanak Bakhas Leeeae Prabh Aap ||
नानक बखसि लीए प्रभि आपि ॥
God Himself has forgiven Nanak;
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਏਕੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪਿ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੧੫॥
Sadhaa Sadhaa Eaeko Har Jaap ||4||13||15||
सदा सदा एको हरि जापि ॥४॥१३॥१५॥
Forever and ever, he chants the Name of the One Lord. ||4||13||15||
