रामकली महला ५ ॥
Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:
ਜਿਸ ਕੀ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
Jis Kee This Kee Kar Maan ||
जिस की तिस की करि मानु ॥
Honor the One, to whom everything belongs.
ਆਪਨ ਲਾਹਿ ਗੁਮਾਨੁ ॥
Aapan Laahi Gumaan ||
आपन लाहि गुमानु ॥
Leave your egotistical pride behind.
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਤੂ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
Jis Kaa Thoo This Kaa Sabh Koe ||
जिस का तू तिस का सभु कोइ ॥
You belong to Him; everyone belongs to Him.
ਤਿਸਹਿ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥
Thisehi Araadhh Sadhaa Sukh Hoe ||1||
तिसहि अराधि सदा सुखु होइ ॥१॥
Worship and adore Him, and you shall be at peace forever. ||1||
ਕਾਹੇ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਹਿ ਬਿਗਾਨੇ ॥
Kaahae Bhram Bhramehi Bigaanae ||
काहे भ्रमि भ्रमहि बिगाने ॥
Why do you wander in doubt, you fool?
ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਪਛੁਤਾਨੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Naam Binaa Kishh Kaam N Aavai Maeraa Maeraa Kar Bahuth Pashhuthaanae ||1|| Rehaao ||
नाम बिना किछु कामि न आवै मेरा मेरा करि बहुतु पछुताने ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, nothing is of any use at all. Crying out, 'Mine, mine', a great many have departed, regretfully repenting. ||1||Pause||
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਕਰੈ ਸੋਈ ਮਾਨਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥
Jo Jo Karai Soee Maan Laehu ||
जो जो करै सोई मानि लेहु ॥
Whatever the Lord has done, accept that as good.
ਬਿਨੁ ਮਾਨੇ ਰਲਿ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਖੇਹ ॥
Bin Maanae Ral Hovehi Khaeh ||
बिनु माने रलि होवहि खेह ॥
Without accepting, you shall mingle with dust.
ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਲਾਗੈ ਮੀਠਾ ॥
This Kaa Bhaanaa Laagai Meethaa ||
तिस का भाणा लागै मीठा ॥
His Will seems sweet to me.
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠਾ ॥੨॥
Gur Prasaadh Viralae Man Voothaa ||2||
गुर प्रसादि विरले मनि वूठा ॥२॥
By Guru's Grace, He comes to dwell in the mind. ||2||
ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਆਪਿ ॥
Vaeparavaahu Agochar Aap ||
वेपरवाहु अगोचरु आपि ॥
He Himself is carefree and independent, imperceptible.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਮਨ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਜਾਪਿ ॥
Aath Pehar Man Thaa Ko Jaap ||
आठ पहर मन ता कउ जापि ॥
Twenty-four hours a day, O mind, meditate on Him.
ਜਿਸੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਏ ਬਿਨਸਹਿ ਦੁਖਾ ॥
Jis Chith Aaeae Binasehi Dhukhaa ||
जिसु चिति आए बिनसहि दुखा ॥
When He comes into the consciousness, pain is dispelled.
ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਊਜਲ ਮੁਖਾ ॥੩॥
Halath Palath Thaeraa Oojal Mukhaa ||3||
हलति पलति तेरा ऊजल मुखा ॥३॥
Here and hereafter, your face shall be radiant and bright. ||3||
ਕਉਨ ਕਉਨ ਉਧਰੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇ ॥
Koun Koun Oudhharae Gun Gaae ||
कउन कउन उधरे गुन गाइ ॥
Who, and how many have been saved, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord?
ਗਨਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥
Ganan N Jaaee Keem N Paae ||
गनणु न जाई कीम न पाइ ॥
They cannot be counted or evaluated.
ਬੂਡਤ ਲੋਹ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਰੈ ॥
Booddath Loh Saadhhasang Tharai ||
बूडत लोह साधसंगि तरै ॥
Even the sinking iron is saved, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy,
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸਹਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਕਰੈ ॥੪॥੩੧॥੪੨॥
Naanak Jisehi Paraapath Karai ||4||31||42||
नानक जिसहि परापति करै ॥४॥३१॥४२॥
O Nanak, as His Grace is received. ||4||31||42||

ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਜਾਪਿ ਭਗਵੰਤੁ ॥
Man Maahi Jaap Bhagavanth ||
मन माहि जापि भगवंतु ॥
In your mind, meditate on the Lord God.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਇਹੁ ਦੀਨੋ ਮੰਤੁ ॥
Gur Poorai Eihu Dheeno Manth ||
गुरि पूरै इहु दीनो मंतु ॥
This is the Teaching given by the Perfect Guru.
ਮਿਟੇ ਸਗਲ ਭੈ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ॥
Mittae Sagal Bhai Thraas ||
मिटे सगल भै त्रास ॥
All fears and terrors are taken away,
ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਆਸ ॥੧॥
Pooran Hoee Aas ||1||
पूरन होई आस ॥१॥
And your hopes shall be fulfilled. ||1||
ਸਫਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਗੁਰਦੇਵਾ ॥
Safal Saevaa Guradhaevaa ||
सफल सेवा गुरदेवा ॥
Service to the Divine Guru is fruitful and rewarding.
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਸਾਚੇ ਸਚੁ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Keemath Kishh Kehan N Jaaee Saachae Sach Alakh Abhaevaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
कीमति किछु कहणु न जाई साचे सचु अलख अभेवा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
His value cannot be described; the True Lord is unseen and mysterious. ||1||Pause||
ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਆਪਿ ॥
Karan Karaavan Aap ||
करन करावन आपि ॥
He Himself is the Doer, the Cause of causes.
ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਸਦਾ ਮਨ ਜਾਪਿ ॥
This Ko Sadhaa Man Jaap ||
तिस कउ सदा मन जापि ॥
Meditate on Him forever, O my mind,
ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਿ ਨੀਤ ॥
This Kee Saevaa Kar Neeth ||
तिस की सेवा करि नीत ॥
And continually serve Him.
ਸਚੁ ਸਹਜੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮੀਤ ॥੨॥
Sach Sehaj Sukh Paavehi Meeth ||2||
सचु सहजु सुखु पावहि मीत ॥२॥
You shall be blessed with truth, intuition and peace, O my friend. ||2||
ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਅਤਿ ਭਾਰਾ ॥
Saahib Maeraa Ath Bhaaraa ||
साहिबु मेरा अति भारा ॥
My Lord and Master is so very great.
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਨਹਾਰਾ ॥
Khin Mehi Thhaap Outhhaapanehaaraa ||
खिन महि थापि उथापनहारा ॥
In an instant, He establishes and disestablishes.
ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
This Bin Avar N Koee ||
तिसु बिनु अवरु न कोई ॥
There is no other than Him.
ਜਨ ਕਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਸੋਈ ॥੩॥
Jan Kaa Raakhaa Soee ||3||
जन का राखा सोई ॥३॥
He is the Saving Grace of His humble servant. ||3||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਸੁਣੀਜੈ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Aradhaas Suneejai ||
करि किरपा अरदासि सुणीजै ॥
Please take pity on me, and hear my prayer,
ਅਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
Apanae Saevak Ko Dharasan Dheejai ||
अपणे सेवक कउ दरसनु दीजै ॥
That Your servant may behold the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan.
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾਪੀ ਜਪੁ ਜਾਪੁ ॥
Naanak Jaapee Jap Jaap ||
नानक जापी जपु जापु ॥
Nanak chants the Chant of the Lord,
ਸਭ ਤੇ ਊਚ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥੪॥੩੨॥੪੩॥
Sabh Thae Ooch Jaa Kaa Parathaap ||4||32||43||
सभ ते ऊच जा का परतापु ॥४॥३२॥४३॥
Whose glory and radiance are the highest of all. ||4||32||43||

ਬਿਰਥਾ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ਲੋਕ ॥
Birathhaa Bharavaasaa Lok ||
बिरथा भरवासा लोक ॥
Reliance on mortal man is useless.
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ॥
Thaakur Prabh Thaeree Ttaek ||
ठाकुर प्रभ तेरी टेक ॥
O God, my Lord and Master, You are my only Support.
ਅਵਰ ਛੂਟੀ ਸਭ ਆਸ ॥
Avar Shhoottee Sabh Aas ||
अवर छूटी सभ आस ॥
I have discarded all other hopes.
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਭੇਟੇ ਗੁਣਤਾਸ ॥੧॥
Achinth Thaakur Bhaettae Gunathaas ||1||
अचिंत ठाकुर भेटे गुणतास ॥१॥
I have met with my carefree Lord and Master, the treasure of virtue. ||1||
ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
Eaeko Naam Dhhiaae Man Maerae ||
एको नामु धिआइ मन मेरे ॥
Meditate on the Name of the Lord alone, O my mind.
ਕਾਰਜੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੋਵੈ ਪੂਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Kaaraj Thaeraa Hovai Pooraa Har Har Har Gun Gaae Man Maerae ||1|| Rehaao ||
कारजु तेरा होवै पूरा हरि हरि हरि गुण गाइ मन मेरे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Your affairs shall be perfectly resolved; sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har, Har, O my mind. ||1||Pause||
ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ॥
Thum Hee Kaaran Karan ||
तुम ही कारन करन ॥
You are the Doer, the Cause of causes.
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਨ ॥
Charan Kamal Har Saran ||
चरन कमल हरि सरन ॥
Your lotus feet, Lord, are my Sanctuary.
ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਓਹੀ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
Man Than Har Ouhee Dhhiaaeiaa ||
मनि तनि हरि ओही धिआइआ ॥
I meditate on the Lord in my mind and body.
ਆਨੰਦ ਹਰਿ ਰੂਪ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
Aanandh Har Roop Dhikhaaeiaa ||2||
आनंद हरि रूप दिखाइआ ॥२॥
The blissful Lord has revealed His form to me. ||2||
ਤਿਸ ਹੀ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਸਦੀਵ ॥
This Hee Kee Outt Sadheev ||
तिस ही की ओट सदीव ॥
I seek His eternal support;
ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕੀਨੇ ਹੈ ਜੀਵ ॥
Jaa Kae Keenae Hai Jeev ||
जा के कीने है जीव ॥
He is the Creator of all beings.
ਸਿਮਰਤ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਤ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥
Simarath Har Karath Nidhhaan ||
सिमरत हरि करत निधान ॥
Remembering the Lord in meditation, the treasure is obtained.
ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰ ਨਿਦਾਨ ॥੩॥
Raakhanehaar Nidhaan ||3||
राखनहार निदान ॥३॥
At the very last instant, He shall be your Savior. ||3||
ਸਰਬ ਕੀ ਰੇਣ ਹੋਵੀਜੈ ॥
Sarab Kee Raen Hoveejai ||
सरब की रेण होवीजै ॥
Be the dust of all men's feet.
ਆਪੁ ਮਿਟਾਇ ਮਿਲੀਜੈ ॥
Aap Mittaae Mileejai ||
आपु मिटाइ मिलीजै ॥
Eradicate self-conceit, and merge in the Lord.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
Anadhin Dhhiaaeeai Naam ||
अनदिनु धिआईऐ नामु ॥
Night and day, meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਸਫਲ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹੁ ਕਾਮੁ ॥੪॥੩੩॥੪੪॥
Safal Naanak Eihu Kaam ||4||33||44||
सफल नानक इहु कामु ॥४॥३३॥४४॥
O Nanak, this is the most rewarding activity. ||4||33||44||

ਸਰਬ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ਰਹੀਮ ॥
Sarab Prathipaal Reheem ||
सरब प्रतिपाल रहीम ॥
The merciful Lord cherishes all.
ਅਲਹ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
Aleh Alakh Apaar ||
अलह अलख अपार ॥
The Lord is unseen and infinite.
ਖੁਦਿ ਖੁਦਾਇ ਵਡ ਬੇਸੁਮਾਰ ॥੧॥
Khudh Khudhaae Vadd Baesumaar ||1||
खुदि खुदाइ वड बेसुमार ॥१॥
God is great and endless. ||1||
