Gond, Fifth Mehl:
ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥
Santhan Kai Balihaarai Jaao ||
संतन कै बलिहारै जाउ ॥
I am a sacrifice to the Saints.
ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਉ ॥
Santhan Kai Sang Raam Gun Gaao ||
संतन कै संगि राम गुन गाउ ॥
Associating with the Saints, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਗਏ ॥
Santh Prasaadh Kilavikh Sabh Geae ||
संत प्रसादि किलविख सभि गए ॥
By the Grace of the Saints, all the sins are taken away.
ਸੰਤ ਸਰਣਿ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਏ ॥੧॥
Santh Saran Vaddabhaagee Peae ||1||
संत सरणि वडभागी पए ॥१॥
By great good fortune, one finds the Sanctuary of the Saints. ||1||
ਰਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਕਛੁ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਵਿਆਪੈ ॥
Raam Japath Kashh Bighan N Viaapai ||
रामु जपत कछु बिघनु न विआपै ॥
Meditating on the Lord, no obstacles will block your way.
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਪੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

गुर प्रसादि अपुना प्रभु जापै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
By Guru's Grace, meditate on God. ||1||Pause||
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਬ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
Paarabreham Jab Hoe Dhaeiaal ||
पारब्रहमु जब होइ दइआल ॥
When the Supreme Lord God becomes merciful,
ਸਾਧੂ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਕਰੈ ਰਵਾਲ ॥
Saadhhoo Jan Kee Karai Ravaal ||
साधू जन की करै रवाल ॥
He makes me the dust of the feet of the Holy.
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਇਸੁ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਇ ॥
Kaam Krodhh Eis Than Thae Jaae ||
कामु क्रोधु इसु तन ते जाइ ॥
Sexual desire and anger leave his body,
ਰਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੨॥
Raam Rathan Vasai Man Aae ||2||
राम रतनु वसै मनि आइ ॥२॥
And the Lord, the jewel, comes to dwell in his mind. ||2||
ਸਫਲੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਤਾਂ ਕਾ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
Safal Janam Thaan Kaa Paravaan ||
सफलु जनमु तां का परवाणु ॥
Fruitful and approved is the life of one
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣੁ ॥
Paarabreham Nikatt Kar Jaan ||
पारब्रहमु निकटि करि जाणु ॥
Who knows the Supreme Lord God to be close.
ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਰਤਨਿ ਲਾਗੈ ॥
Bhaae Bhagath Prabh Keerathan Laagai ||
भाइ भगति प्रभ कीरतनि लागै ॥
One who is committed to loving devotional worship of God, and the Kirtan of His Praises,
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗੈ ॥੩॥
Janam Janam Kaa Soeiaa Jaagai ||3||
जनम जनम का सोइआ जागै ॥३॥
Awakens from the sleep of countless incarnations. ||3||
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥

चरन कमल जन का आधारु ॥
The Lord's Lotus Feet are the Support of His humble servant.
ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਰਉਂ ਸਚੁ ਵਾਪਾਰੁ ॥
Gun Govindh Roun Sach Vaapaar ||
गुण गोविंद रउं सचु वापारु ॥
To chant the Praises of the Lord of the Universe is the true trade.
ਦਾਸ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਮਨਸਾ ਪੂਰਿ ॥
Dhaas Janaa Kee Manasaa Poor ||
दास जना की मनसा पूरि ॥
Please fulfill the hopes of Your humble slave.

करि नमसकार पूरे गुरदेव ॥
Humbly bow to the Perfect Divine Guru.
ਸਫਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਸਫਲ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ॥
Safal Moorath Safal Jaa Kee Saev ||
सफल मूरति सफल जा की सेव ॥
Fruitful is His image, and fruitful is service to Him.
ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥
Antharajaamee Purakh Bidhhaathaa ||
अंतरजामी पुरखु बिधाता ॥
He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, the Architect of Destiny.

आठ पहर नाम रंगि राता ॥१॥
Twenty-four hours a day, he remains imbued with the love of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||

गुरु गोबिंद गुरू गोपाल ॥
The Guru is the Lord of the Universe, the Guru is the Lord of the World.

अपने दास कउ राखनहार ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
He is the Saving Grace of His slaves. ||1||Pause||
ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹ ਸਾਹ ਉਮਰਾਉ ਪਤੀਆਏ ॥
Paathisaah Saah Oumaraao Patheeaaeae ||
पातिसाह साह उमराउ पतीआए ॥
He satisfies the kings, emperors and nobles.
ਦੁਸਟ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਮਾਰਿ ਪਚਾਏ ॥
Dhusatt Ahankaaree Maar Pachaaeae ||
दुसट अहंकारी मारि पचाए ॥
He destroys the egotistical villains.
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਕੀਨੋ ਰੋਗੁ ॥
Nindhak Kai Mukh Keeno Rog ||
निंदक कै मुखि कीनो रोगु ॥
He puts illness into the mouths of the slanderers.
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ ਕਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਲੋਗੁ ॥੨॥
Jai Jai Kaar Karai Sabh Log ||2||
जै जै कारु करै सभु लोगु ॥२॥
All the people celebrate His victory. ||2||
ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਮਹਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ॥
Santhan Kai Man Mehaa Anandh ||
संतन कै मनि महा अनंदु ॥
Supreme bliss fills the minds of the Saints.
ਸੰਤ ਜਪਹਿ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਭਗਵੰਤੁ ॥
Santh Japehi Guradhaeo Bhagavanth ||
संत जपहि गुरदेउ भगवंतु ॥
The Saints meditate on the Divine Guru, the Lord God.
ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਭਏ ॥
Sangath Kae Mukh Oojal Bheae ||
संगति के मुख ऊजल भए ॥
The faces of His companions become radiant and bright.
ਸਗਲ ਥਾਨ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੇ ਗਏ ॥੩॥
Sagal Thhaan Nindhak Kae Geae ||3||
सगल थान निंदक के गए ॥३॥
The slanderers lose all places of rest. ||3||
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਜਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਲਾਹੇ ॥
Saas Saas Jan Sadhaa Salaahae ||
सासि सासि जनु सदा सलाहे ॥
With each and every breath, the Lord's humble slaves praise Him.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗੁਰ ਬੇਪਰਵਾਹੇ ॥
Paarabreham Gur Baeparavaahae ||
पारब्रहम गुर बेपरवाहे ॥
The Supreme Lord God and the Guru are care-free.
ਸਗਲ ਭੈ ਮਿਟੇ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਿ ॥
Sagal Bhai Mittae Jaa Kee Saran ||
सगल भै मिटे जा की सरनि ॥
All fears are eradicated, in His Sanctuary.
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਮਾਰਿ ਪਾਏ ਸਭਿ ਧਰਨਿ ॥੪॥
Nindhak Maar Paaeae Sabh Dhharan ||4||
निंदक मारि पाए सभि धरनि ॥४॥
Smashing all the slanderers, the Lord knocks them to the ground. ||4||
ਜਨ ਕੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰੈ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
Jan Kee Nindhaa Karai N Koe ||
जन की निंदा करै न कोइ ॥
Let no one slander the Lord's humble servants.
ਜੋ ਕਰੈ ਸੋ ਦੁਖੀਆ ਹੋਇ ॥
Jo Karai So Dhukheeaa Hoe ||
जो करै सो दुखीआ होइ ॥
Whoever does so, will be miserable.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਜਨੁ ਏਕੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥
Aath Pehar Jan Eaek Dhhiaaeae ||
आठ पहर जनु एकु धिआए ॥
Twenty-four hours a day, the Lord's humble servant meditates on Him alone.
ਜਮੂਆ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥੫॥
Jamooaa Thaa Kai Nikatt N Jaaeae ||5||
जमूआ ता कै निकटि न जाए ॥५॥
The Messenger of Death does not even approach him. ||5||
ਜਨ ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥
Jan Niravair Nindhak Ahankaaree ||
जन निरवैर निंदक अहंकारी ॥
The Lord's humble servant has no vengeance. The slanderer is egotistical.
ਜਨ ਭਲ ਮਾਨਹਿ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਵੇਕਾਰੀ ॥
Jan Bhal Maanehi Nindhak Vaekaaree ||
जन भल मानहि निंदक वेकारी ॥
The Lord's humble servant wishes well, while the slanderer dwells on evil.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਿਖਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
Gur Kai Sikh Sathiguroo Dhhiaaeiaa ||
गुर कै सिखि सतिगुरू धिआइआ ॥
The Sikh of the Guru meditates on the True Guru.
ਜਨ ਉਬਰੇ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਨਰਕਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੬॥
Jan Oubarae Nindhak Narak Paaeiaa ||6||
जन उबरे निंदक नरकि पाइआ ॥६॥
The Lord's humble servants are saved, while the slanderer is cast into hell. ||6||
ਸੁਣਿ ਸਾਜਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੀਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥
Sun Saajan Maerae Meeth Piaarae ||
सुणि साजन मेरे मीत पिआरे ॥
Listen, O my beloved friends and companions:
ਸਤਿ ਬਚਨ ਵਰਤਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਦੁਆਰੇ ॥
Sath Bachan Varathehi Har Dhuaarae ||
सति बचन वरतहि हरि दुआरे ॥
These words shall be true in the Court of the Lord.
ਜੈਸਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਤੈਸਾ ਪਾਏ ॥
Jaisaa Karae S Thaisaa Paaeae ||
जैसा करे सु तैसा पाए ॥
As you plant, so shall you harvest.
ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਕੀ ਜੜ ਸਰਪਰ ਜਾਏ ॥੭॥
Abhimaanee Kee Jarr Sarapar Jaaeae ||7||
अभिमानी की जड़ सरपर जाए ॥७॥
The proud, egotistical person will surely be uprooted. ||7||
ਨੀਧਰਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਧਰ ਤੇਰੀ ॥
Needhhariaa Sathigur Dhhar Thaeree ||
नीधरिआ सतिगुर धर तेरी ॥
O True Guru, You are the Support of the unsupported.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਜਨ ਕੇਰੀ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Raakhahu Jan Kaeree ||
करि किरपा राखहु जन केरी ॥
Be merciful, and save Your humble servant.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥

कहु नानक तिसु गुर बलिहारी ॥
Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the Guru;
