ਅੰਗੀਕਾਰੁ ਕੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਨੈ ਬੈਰੀ ਸਗਲੇ ਸਾਧੇ ॥
Angeekaar Keeaa Prabh Apanai Bairee Sagalae Saadhhae ||
अंगीकारु कीआ प्रभि अपनै बैरी सगले साधे ॥
God has made me His own, and vanquished all my enemies.
ਜਿਨਿ ਬੈਰੀ ਹੈ ਇਹੁ ਜਗੁ ਲੂਟਿਆ ਤੇ ਬੈਰੀ ਲੈ ਬਾਧੇ ॥੧॥
Jin Bairee Hai Eihu Jag Loottiaa Thae Bairee Lai Baadhhae ||1||
जिनि बैरी है इहु जगु लूटिआ ते बैरी लै बाधे ॥१॥
Those enemies who have plundered this world, have all been placed in bondage. ||1||

ਚੀਤਿ ਨ ਆਵਸਿ ਦੂਜੀ ਬਾਤਾ ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਰਖਵਾਰਾ ॥
Cheeth N Aavas Dhoojee Baathaa Sir Oopar Rakhavaaraa ||
चीति न आवसि दूजी बाता सिर ऊपरि रखवारा ॥
I do not think of any other at all. The Lord is my protector, above my head.
ਬੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ਰਹਤ ਹੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਇਕ ਨਾਮ ਕੈ ਆਧਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
Baeparavaahu Rehath Hai Suaamee Eik Naam Kai Aadhhaaraa ||2||
बेपरवाहु रहत है सुआमी इक नाम कै आधारा ॥२॥
I am carefree and independent, when I have the Support of Your Name, O my Lord and Master. ||2||
ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਇ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਊਨ ਨ ਕਾਈ ਬਾਤਾ ॥
Pooran Hoe Miliou Sukhadhaaee Oon N Kaaee Baathaa ||
पूरन होइ मिलिओ सुखदाई ऊन न काई बाता ॥
I have become perfect, meeting with the Giver of peace, and now, I lack nothing at all.
ਤਤੁ ਸਾਰੁ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਜਾਤਾ ॥੩॥
Thath Saar Param Padh Paaeiaa Shhodd N Kathehoo Jaathaa ||3||
ततु सारु परम पदु पाइआ छोडि न कतहू जाता ॥३॥
I have obtained the essence of excellence, the supreme status; I shall not forsake it to go anywhere else. ||3||
ਬਰਨਿ ਨ ਸਾਕਉ ਜੈਸਾ ਤੂ ਹੈ ਸਾਚੇ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
Baran N Saako Jaisaa Thoo Hai Saachae Alakh Apaaraa ||
बरनि न साकउ जैसा तू है साचे अलख अपारा ॥
I cannot describe how You are, O True Lord, unseen, infinite,
ਅਤੁਲ ਅਥਾਹ ਅਡੋਲ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਖਸਮੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥੪॥੫॥

अतुल अथाह अडोल सुआमी नानक खसमु हमारा ॥४॥५॥
Immeasurable, unfathomable and unmoving Lord. O Nanak, He is my Lord and Master. ||4||5||

ਤੂ ਦਾਨਾ ਤੂ ਅਬਿਚਲੁ ਤੂਹੀ ਤੂ ਜਾਤਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਾਤੀ ॥
Thoo Dhaanaa Thoo Abichal Thoohee Thoo Jaath Maeree Paathee ||
तू दाना तू अबिचलु तूही तू जाति मेरी पाती ॥
You are wise; You are eternal and unchanging. You are my social class and honor.
ਤੂ ਅਡੋਲੁ ਕਦੇ ਡੋਲਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਤਾ ਹਮ ਕੈਸੀ ਤਾਤੀ ॥੧॥
Thoo Addol Kadhae Ddolehi Naahee Thaa Ham Kaisee Thaathee ||1||
तू अडोलु कदे डोलहि नाही ता हम कैसी ताती ॥१॥
You are unmoving - You never move at all. How can I be worried? ||1||
ਏਕੈ ਏਕੈ ਏਕ ਤੂਹੀ ॥
Eaekai Eaekai Eaek Thoohee ||
एकै एकै एक तूही ॥
You alone are the One and only Lord;
ਏਕੈ ਏਕੈ ਤੂ ਰਾਇਆ ॥
Eaekai Eaekai Thoo Raaeiaa ||
एकै एकै तू राइआ ॥
You alone are the king.
ਤਉ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

तउ किरपा ते सुखु पाइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
By Your Grace, I have found peace. ||1||Pause||
ਤੂ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਹਮ ਹੰਸ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਤੁਮ ਮਹਿ ਮਾਣਕ ਲਾਲਾ ॥
Thoo Saagar Ham Hans Thumaarae Thum Mehi Maanak Laalaa ||
तू सागरु हम हंस तुमारे तुम महि माणक लाला ॥
You are the ocean, and I am Your swan; the pearls and rubies are in You.
ਤੁਮ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਸੰਕ ਨ ਮਾਨਹੁ ਹਮ ਭੁੰਚਹ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਹਾਲਾ ॥੨॥
Thum Dhaevahu Thil Sank N Maanahu Ham Bhuncheh Sadhaa Nihaalaa ||2||
तुम देवहु तिलु संक न मानहु हम भुंचह सदा निहाला ॥२॥
You give, and You do not hesitate for an instant; I receive, forever enraptured. ||2||
ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਤੁਮ ਪਿਤਾ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਤੁਮ ਮੁਖਿ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਖੀਰਾ ॥
Ham Baarik Thum Pithaa Hamaarae Thum Mukh Dhaevahu Kheeraa ||
हम बारिक तुम पिता हमारे तुम मुखि देवहु खीरा ॥
I am Your child, and You are my father; You place the milk in my mouth.
ਹਮ ਖੇਲਹ ਸਭਿ ਲਾਡ ਲਡਾਵਹ ਤੁਮ ਸਦ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰਾ ॥੩॥
Ham Khaeleh Sabh Laadd Laddaaveh Thum Sadh Gunee Geheeraa ||3||
हम खेलह सभि लाड लडावह तुम सद गुणी गहीरा ॥३॥
I play with You, and You caress me in every way. You are forever the ocean of excellence. ||3||
ਤੁਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹੇ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਹਮ ਭੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਅਘਾਏ ॥
Thum Pooran Poor Rehae Sanpooran Ham Bhee Sang Aghaaeae ||
तुम पूरन पूरि रहे स्मपूरन हम भी संगि अघाए ॥
You are perfect, perfectly all-pervading; I am fulfilled with You as well.
ਮਿਲਤ ਮਿਲਤ ਮਿਲਤ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥੪॥੬॥
Milath Milath Milath Mil Rehiaa Naanak Kehan N Jaaeae ||4||6||
मिलत मिलत मिलत मिलि रहिआ नानक कहणु न जाए ॥४॥६॥
I am merged, merged, merged and remain merged; O Nanak, I cannot describe it! ||4||6||

ਕਰ ਕਰਿ ਤਾਲ ਪਖਾਵਜੁ ਨੈਨਹੁ ਮਾਥੈ ਵਜਹਿ ਰਬਾਬਾ ॥
Kar Kar Thaal Pakhaavaj Nainahu Maathhai Vajehi Rabaabaa ||
कर करि ताल पखावजु नैनहु माथै वजहि रबाबा ॥
Make your hands the cymbals, your eyes the tambourines, and your forehead the guitar you play.
ਕਰਨਹੁ ਮਧੁ ਬਾਸੁਰੀ ਬਾਜੈ ਜਿਹਵਾ ਧੁਨਿ ਆਗਾਜਾ ॥
Karanahu Madhh Baasuree Baajai Jihavaa Dhhun Aagaajaa ||
करनहु मधु बासुरी बाजै जिहवा धुनि आगाजा ॥
Let the sweet flute music resound in your ears, and with your tongue, vibrate this song.
ਨਿਰਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਮਨੂਆ ਨਾਚੈ ਆਣੇ ਘੂਘਰ ਸਾਜਾ ॥੧॥
Nirath Karae Kar Manooaa Naachai Aanae Ghooghar Saajaa ||1||
निरति करे करि मनूआ नाचै आणे घूघर साजा ॥१॥
Move your mind like the rhythmic hand-motions; do the dance, and shake your ankle bracelets. ||1||

राम को निरतिकारी ॥
This is the rhythmic dance of the Lord.
ਪੇਖੈ ਪੇਖਨਹਾਰੁ ਦਇਆਲਾ ਜੇਤਾ ਸਾਜੁ ਸੀਗਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Paekhai Paekhanehaar Dhaeiaalaa Jaethaa Saaj Seegaaree ||1|| Rehaao ||
पेखै पेखनहारु दइआला जेता साजु सीगारी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The Merciful Audience, the Lord, sees all your make-up and decorations. ||1||Pause||
ਆਖਾਰ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਧਰਣਿ ਸਬਾਈ ਊਪਰਿ ਗਗਨੁ ਚੰਦੋਆ ॥
Aakhaar Manddalee Dhharan Sabaaee Oopar Gagan Chandhoaa ||
आखार मंडली धरणि सबाई ऊपरि गगनु चंदोआ ॥
The whole earth is the stage, with the canopy of the sky overhead.
ਪਵਨੁ ਵਿਚੋਲਾ ਕਰਤ ਇਕੇਲਾ ਜਲ ਤੇ ਓਪਤਿ ਹੋਆ ॥
Pavan Vicholaa Karath Eikaelaa Jal Thae Oupath Hoaa ||
पवनु विचोला करत इकेला जल ते ओपति होआ ॥
The wind is the director; people are born of water.
ਪੰਚ ਤਤੁ ਕਰਿ ਪੁਤਰਾ ਕੀਨਾ ਕਿਰਤ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਆ ॥੨॥
Panch Thath Kar Putharaa Keenaa Kirath Milaavaa Hoaa ||2||
पंच ततु करि पुतरा कीना किरत मिलावा होआ ॥२॥
From the five elements, the puppet was created with its actions. ||2||
ਚੰਦੁ ਸੂਰਜੁ ਦੁਇ ਜਰੇ ਚਰਾਗਾ ਚਹੁ ਕੁੰਟ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ॥
Chandh Sooraj Dhue Jarae Charaagaa Chahu Kuntt Bheethar Raakhae ||
चंदु सूरजु दुइ जरे चरागा चहु कुंट भीतरि राखे ॥
The sun and the moon are the two lamps which shine, with the four corners of the world placed between them.
ਦਸ ਪਾਤਉ ਪੰਚ ਸੰਗੀਤਾ ਏਕੈ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਸਾਥੇ ॥
Dhas Paatho Panch Sangeethaa Eaekai Bheethar Saathhae ||
दस पातउ पंच संगीता एकै भीतरि साथे ॥
The ten senses are the dancing girls, and the five passions are the chorus; they sit together within the one body.
ਭਿੰਨ ਭਿੰਨ ਹੋਇ ਭਾਵ ਦਿਖਾਵਹਿ ਸਭਹੁ ਨਿਰਾਰੀ ਭਾਖੇ ॥੩॥
Bhinn Bhinn Hoe Bhaav Dhikhaavehi Sabhahu Niraaree Bhaakhae ||3||
भिंन भिंन होइ भाव दिखावहि सभहु निरारी भाखे ॥३॥
They all put on their own shows, and speak in different languages. ||3||
ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਨਿਰਤਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਵਾਜੈ ਤੂਰਾ ॥
Ghar Ghar Nirath Hovai Dhin Raathee Ghatt Ghatt Vaajai Thooraa ||
घरि घरि निरति होवै दिनु राती घटि घटि वाजै तूरा ॥
In each and every home there is dancing, day and night; in each and every home, the bugles blow.
ਏਕਿ ਨਚਾਵਹਿ ਏਕਿ ਭਵਾਵਹਿ ਇਕਿ ਆਇ ਜਾਇ ਹੋਇ ਧੂਰਾ ॥
Eaek Nachaavehi Eaek Bhavaavehi Eik Aae Jaae Hoe Dhhooraa ||
एकि नचावहि एकि भवावहि इकि आइ जाइ होइ धूरा ॥
Some are made to dance, and some are whirled around; some come and some go, and some are reduced to dust.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਨਾਚੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟੈ ਪੂਰਾ ॥੪॥੭॥
Kahu Naanak So Bahur N Naachai Jis Gur Bhaettai Pooraa ||4||7||
कहु नानक सो बहुरि न नाचै जिसु गुरु भेटै पूरा ॥४॥७॥
Says Nanak, one who meets with the True Guru, does not have to dance the dance of reincarnation again. ||4||7||
