प्रभ समरथ सरब सुख दाना ॥
God is the almighty Giver of all peace and joy.
ਸਿਮਰਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੋਹੁ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ ॥
Simaro Naam Hohu Miharavaanaa ||
सिमरउ नामु होहु मिहरवाना ॥
Be merciful to me, that I may meditate in remembrance on Your Name.
ਹਰਿ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਭੇਖਾਰੀ ਜਨੁ ਬਾਂਛੈ ਜਾਚੰਗਨਾ ॥੧॥
Har Dhaathaa Jeea Janth Bhaekhaaree Jan Baanshhai Jaachanganaa ||1||
हरि दाता जीअ जंत भेखारी जनु बांछै जाचंगना ॥१॥
The Lord is the Great Giver; all beings and creatures are beggars; His humble servants yearn to beg from Him. ||1||
ਮਾਗਉ ਜਨ ਧੂਰਿ ਪਰਮ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਵਉ ॥
Maago Jan Dhhoor Param Gath Paavo ||
मागउ जन धूरि परम गति पावउ ॥
I beg for the dust of the feet of the humble, that I may be blessed with the supreme status,
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੀ ਮੈਲੁ ਮਿਟਾਵਉ ॥
Janam Janam Kee Mail Mittaavo ||
जनम जनम की मैलु मिटावउ ॥
And the filth of countless lifetimes may be erased.
ਦੀਰਘ ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਉਖਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲਿ ਰਾਪੈ ਮੰਗਨਾ ॥੨॥
Dheeragh Rog Mittehi Har Aoukhadhh Har Niramal Raapai Manganaa ||2||
दीरघ रोग मिटहि हरि अउखधि हरि निरमलि रापै मंगना ॥२॥
The chronic diseases are cured by the medicine of the Lord's Name; I beg to be imbued with the Immaculate Lord. ||2||
ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਸੁਣਉ ਬਿਮਲ ਜਸੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
Sravanee Suno Bimal Jas Suaamee ||
स्रवणी सुणउ बिमल जसु सुआमी ॥
With my ears, I listen to the Pure Praises of my Lord and Master.
ਏਕਾ ਓਟ ਤਜਉ ਬਿਖੁ ਕਾਮੀ ॥
Eaekaa Outt Thajo Bikh Kaamee ||
एका ओट तजउ बिखु कामी ॥
With the Support of the One Lord, I have abandoned corruption, sexuality and desire.
ਨਿਵਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਪਾਇ ਲਗਉ ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੰਗਨਾ ॥੩॥
Niv Niv Paae Lago Dhaas Thaerae Kar Sukirath Naahee Sanganaa ||3||
निवि निवि पाइ लगउ दास तेरे करि सुक्रितु नाही संगना ॥३॥
I humbly bow and fall at the feet of Your slaves; I do not hesitate to do good deeds. ||3||
ਰਸਨਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੇ ॥
Rasanaa Gun Gaavai Har Thaerae ||
रसना गुण गावै हरि तेरे ॥
O Lord, with my tongue I sing Your Glorious Praises.
ਮਿਟਹਿ ਕਮਾਤੇ ਅਵਗੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
Mittehi Kamaathae Avagun Maerae ||
मिटहि कमाते अवगुण मेरे ॥
The sins which I have committed are erased.
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਨੁ ਜੀਵੈ ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤ ਤਜਿ ਤੰਗਨਾ ॥੪॥
Simar Simar Suaamee Man Jeevai Panch Dhooth Thaj Thanganaa ||4||
सिमरि सिमरि सुआमी मनु जीवै पंच दूत तजि तंगना ॥४॥
Meditating, meditating in remembrance on my Lord and Master, my mind lives; I am rid of the five oppressive demons. ||4||
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਜਪਿ ਬੋਹਿਥਿ ਚਰੀਐ ॥

चरन कमल जपि बोहिथि चरीऐ ॥
Meditating on Your lotus feet, I have come aboard Your boat.
ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰੀਐ ॥
Santhasang Mil Saagar Thareeai ||
संतसंगि मिलि सागरु तरीऐ ॥
Joining the Society of the Saints, I cross over the world-ocean.
ਅਰਚਾ ਬੰਦਨ ਹਰਿ ਸਮਤ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਬਾਹੁੜਿ ਜੋਨਿ ਨ ਨੰਗਨਾ ॥੫॥
Arachaa Bandhan Har Samath Nivaasee Baahurr Jon N Nanganaa ||5||
अरचा बंदन हरि समत निवासी बाहुड़ि जोनि न नंगना ॥५॥
My flower-offering and worship is to realize that the Lord is dwelling alike in all; I shall not be reincarnated naked again. ||5||
ਦਾਸ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੋ ਕਰਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਗਪਾਲਾ ॥
Dhaas Dhaasan Ko Kar Laehu Guopaalaa ||
दास दासन को करि लेहु गोपाला ॥
Please make me the slave of Your slaves, O Lord of the world.
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
Kirapaa Nidhhaan Dheen Dhaeiaalaa ||
क्रिपा निधान दीन दइआला ॥
You are the treasure of Grace, merciful to the meek.
ਸਖਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਮਿਲੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਹੋਵੀ ਭੰਗਨਾ ॥੬॥
Sakhaa Sehaaee Pooran Paramaesur Mil Kadhae N Hovee Bhanganaa ||6||
सखा सहाई पूरन परमेसुर मिलु कदे न होवी भंगना ॥६॥
Meet with your companion and helper, the Perfect Transcendent Lord God; you shall never be separated from Him again. ||6||
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਰਪਿ ਧਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਆਗੈ ॥
Man Than Arap Dhharee Har Aagai ||
मनु तनु अरपि धरी हरि आगै ॥
I dedicate my mind and body, and place them in offering before the Lord.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗੈ ॥
Janam Janam Kaa Soeiaa Jaagai ||
जनम जनम का सोइआ जागै ॥
Asleep for countless lifetimes, I have awakened.
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਸਾ ਸੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਕੁ ਹਤਿ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਹੰਤਨਾ ॥੭॥
Jis Kaa Saa Soee Prathipaalak Hath Thiaagee Houmai Hanthanaa ||7||
जिस का सा सोई प्रतिपालकु हति तिआगी हउमै हंतना ॥७॥
He, to whom I belong, is my cherisher and nurturer. I have killed and discarded my murderous self-conceit. ||7||
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥
Jal Thhal Pooran Antharajaamee ||
जलि थलि पूरन अंतरजामी ॥
The Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, is pervading the water and the land.
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਅਛਲ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
Ghatt Ghatt Raviaa Ashhal Suaamee ||
घटि घटि रविआ अछल सुआमी ॥
The undeceivable Lord and Master is permeating each and every heart.
ਭਰਮ ਭੀਤਿ ਖੋਈ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਏਕੁ ਰਵਿਆ ਸਰਬੰਗਨਾ ॥੮॥
Bharam Bheeth Khoee Gur Poorai Eaek Raviaa Sarabanganaa ||8||
भरम भीति खोई गुरि पूरै एकु रविआ सरबंगना ॥८॥
The Perfect Guru has demolished the wall of doubt, and now I see the One Lord pervading everywhere. ||8||
ਜਤ ਕਤ ਪੇਖਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ॥
Jath Kath Paekho Prabh Sukh Saagar ||
जत कत पेखउ प्रभ सुख सागर ॥
Wherever I look, there I see God, the ocean of peace.
ਹਰਿ ਤੋਟਿ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਨਾਹੀ ਰਤਨਾਗਰ ॥
Har Thott Bhanddaar Naahee Rathanaagar ||
हरि तोटि भंडार नाही रतनागर ॥
The Lord's treasure is never exhausted; He is the storehouse of jewels.
ਅਗਹ ਅਗਾਹ ਕਿਛੁ ਮਿਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਸੋ ਬੂਝੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਕਿਰਪੰਗਨਾ ॥੯॥
Ageh Agaah Kishh Mith Nehee Paaeeai So Boojhai Jis Kirapanganaa ||9||
अगह अगाह किछु मिति नही पाईऐ सो बूझै जिसु किरपंगना ॥९॥
He cannot be seized; He is inaccessible, and His limits cannot be found. He is realized when the Lord bestows His Grace. ||9||
ਛਾਤੀ ਸੀਤਲ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਠੰਢਾ ॥
Shhaathee Seethal Man Than Thandtaa ||
छाती सीतल मनु तनु ठंढा ॥
My heart is cooled, and my mind and body are calmed and soothed.
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕੀ ਮਿਟਵੀ ਡੰਝਾ ॥
Janam Maran Kee Mittavee Ddanjhaa ||
जनम मरण की मिटवी डंझा ॥
The craving for birth and death is quenched.
ਕਰੁ ਗਹਿ ਕਾਢਿ ਲੀਏ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਅਮਿਓ ਧਾਰਿ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੰਗਨਾ ॥੧੦॥
Kar Gehi Kaadt Leeeae Prabh Apunai Amiou Dhhaar Dhrisattanganaa ||10||
करु गहि काढि लीए प्रभि अपुनै अमिओ धारि द्रिसटंगना ॥१०॥
Grasping hold of my hand, He has lifted me up and out; He has blessed me with His Ambrosial Glance of Grace. ||10||
ਏਕੋ ਏਕੁ ਰਵਿਆ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ ॥
Eaeko Eaek Raviaa Sabh Thaaee ||
एको एकु रविआ सभ ठाई ॥
The One and Only Lord is permeating and pervading everywhere.
ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
This Bin Dhoojaa Koee Naahee ||
तिसु बिनु दूजा कोई नाही ॥
There is none other than Him at all.
ਆਦਿ ਮਧਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਵਿਆ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਬੁਝੀ ਭਰਮੰਗਨਾ ॥੧੧॥
Aadh Madhh Anth Prabh Raviaa Thrisan Bujhee Bharamanganaa ||11||
आदि मधि अंति प्रभु रविआ त्रिसन बुझी भरमंगना ॥११॥
God permeates the beginning, the middle and the end; He has subdued my desires and doubts. ||11||
ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ॥
Gur Paramaesar Gur Gobindh ||
गुरु परमेसरु गुरु गोबिंदु ॥
The Guru is the Transcendent Lord, the Guru is the Lord of the Universe.
ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਦ ਬਖਸੰਦੁ ॥
Gur Karathaa Gur Sadh Bakhasandh ||
गुरु करता गुरु सद बखसंदु ॥
The Guru is the Creator, the Guru is forever forgiving.
ਗੁਰ ਜਪੁ ਜਾਪਿ ਜਪਤ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਸੰਤ ਸੰਗਨਾ ॥੧੨॥
Gur Jap Jaap Japath Fal Paaeiaa Giaan Dheepak Santh Sanganaa ||12||
गुर जपु जापि जपत फलु पाइआ गिआन दीपकु संत संगना ॥१२॥
Meditating, chanting the Guru's Chant, I have obtained the fruits and rewards; in the Company of the Saints, I have been blessed with the lamp of spiritual wisdom. ||12||
ਜੋ ਪੇਖਾ ਸੋ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
Jo Paekhaa So Sabh Kishh Suaamee ||
जो पेखा सो सभु किछु सुआमी ॥
Whatever I see, is my Lord and Master God.
ਜੋ ਸੁਨਣਾ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਬਾਨੀ ॥
Jo Sunanaa So Prabh Kee Baanee ||
जो सुनणा सो प्रभ की बानी ॥
Whatever I hear, is the Bani of God's Word.
ਜੋ ਕੀਨੋ ਸੋ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਕਰਾਇਓ ਸਰਣਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਸੰਤਹ ਤਨਾ ॥੧੩॥
Jo Keeno So Thumehi Karaaeiou Saran Sehaaee Santheh Thanaa ||13||
जो कीनो सो तुमहि कराइओ सरणि सहाई संतह तना ॥१३॥
Whatever I do, You make me do; You are the Sanctuary, the help and support of the Saints, Your children. ||13||
ਜਾਚਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਅਰਾਧੈ ॥
Jaachak Jaachai Thumehi Araadhhai ||
जाचकु जाचै तुमहि अराधै ॥
The beggar begs, and worships You in adoration.
ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਾਧੈ ॥
Pathith Paavan Pooran Prabh Saadhhai ||
पतित पावन पूरन प्रभ साधै ॥
You are the Purifier of the sinners, O Perfectly Holy Lord God.
ਏਕੋ ਦਾਨੁ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਿ ਆਨ ਮੰਗਨ ਨਿਹਕਿੰਚਨਾ ॥੧੪॥
Eaeko Dhaan Sarab Sukh Gun Nidhh Aan Mangan Nihakinchanaa ||14||
एको दानु सरब सुख गुण निधि आन मंगन निहकिंचना ॥१४॥
Please bless me with this one gift, O treasure of all bliss and virtue; I do not ask for anything else. ||14||
