जितु लाईअनि तितै लगदीआ नह खिंजोताड़ा ॥
Wherever I join them, there they are joined; they do not struggle against me.
ਜੋ ਇਛੀ ਸੋ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਦਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਵਾੜਾ ॥
Jo Eishhee So Fal Paaeidhaa Gur Andhar Vaarraa ||
जो इछी सो फलु पाइदा गुरि अंदरि वाड़ा ॥
I obtain the fruits of my desires; the Guru has directed me within.

Jaa Moon Aavehi Chith Thoo Thaa Habhae Sukh Lehaao ||
जा मूं आवहि चिति तू ता हभे सुख लहाउ ॥
When You come into my consciousness, then I obtain all peace and comfort.
ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਮੰਝਿ ਰੰਗਾਵਲਾ ਪਿਰੀ ਤਹਿਜਾ ਨਾਉ ॥੧॥

कपड़ भोग विकार ए हभे ही छार ॥
Enjoyment of clothes and corrupt pleasures - all these are nothing more than dust.
ਖਾਕੁ ਲੜੇਦਾ ਤੰਨਿ ਖੇ ਜੋ ਰਤੇ ਦੀਦਾਰ ॥੨॥
Khaak Luorraedhaa Thann Khae Jo Rathae Dheedhaar ||2||
खाकु लोड़ेदा तंनि खे जो रते दीदार ॥२॥
I long for the dust of the feet of those who are imbued with the Lord's Vision. ||2||

किआ तकहि बिआ पास करि हीअड़े हिकु अधारु ॥
Why do you look in other directions? O my heart, take the Support of the Lord alone.
ਥੀਉ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਰੇਣੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਲਭੀ ਸੁਖ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ॥੩॥

Vin Karamaa Har Jeeo N Paaeeai Bin Sathigur Manooaa N Lagai ||
विणु करमा हरि जीउ न पाईऐ बिनु सतिगुर मनूआ न लगै ॥
Without good karma, the Dear Lord is not found; without the True Guru, the mind is not joined to Him.
ਧਰਮੁ ਧੀਰਾ ਕਲਿ ਅੰਦਰੇ ਇਹੁ ਪਾਪੀ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਤਗੈ ॥
Dhharam Dhheeraa Kal Andharae Eihu Paapee Mool N Thagai ||
धरमु धीरा कलि अंदरे इहु पापी मूलि न तगै ॥
Only the Dharma remains stable in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga; these sinners will not last at all.
ਅਹਿ ਕਰੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਅਹਿ ਕਰੁ ਪਾਏ ਇਕ ਘੜੀ ਮੁਹਤੁ ਨ ਲਗੈ ॥
Ahi Kar Karae S Ahi Kar Paaeae Eik Gharree Muhath N Lagai ||
अहि करु करे सु अहि करु पाए इक घड़ी मुहतु न लगै ॥
Whatever one does with this hand, he obtains with the other hand, without a moment's delay.
ਚਾਰੇ ਜੁਗ ਮੈ ਸੋਧਿਆ ਵਿਣੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ਨ ਭਗੈ ॥
Chaarae Jug Mai Sodhhiaa Vin Sangath Ahankaar N Bhagai ||
चारे जुग मै सोधिआ विणु संगति अहंकारु न भगै ॥
I have examined the four ages, and without the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, egotism does not depart.
ਹਉਮੈ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਛੁਟਈ ਵਿਣੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਤਸੰਗੈ ॥
Houmai Mool N Shhuttee Vin Saadhhoo Sathasangai ||
हउमै मूलि न छुटई विणु साधू सतसंगै ॥
Egotism is never eradicated without the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਤਿਚਰੁ ਥਾਹ ਨ ਪਾਵਈ ਜਿਚਰੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਿਉ ਮਨ ਭੰਗੈ ॥

तिचरु थाह न पावई जिचरु साहिब सिउ मन भंगै ॥
As long as one's mind is torn away from his Lord and Master, he finds no place of rest.
ਜਿਨਿ ਜਨਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਘਰਿ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ਅਭਗੈ ॥
Jin Jan Guramukh Saeviaa This Ghar Dheebaan Abhagai ||
जिनि जनि गुरमुखि सेविआ तिसु घरि दीबाणु अभगै ॥
That humble being, who, as Gurmukh, serves the Lord, has the Support of the Imperishable Lord in the home of his heart.
ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਲਗੈ ॥੧੧॥
Har Kirapaa Thae Sukh Paaeiaa Gur Sathigur Charanee Lagai ||11||
हरि किरपा ते सुखु पाइआ गुर सतिगुर चरणी लगै ॥११॥
By the Lord's Grace, peace is obtained, and one is attached to the feet of the Guru, the True Guru. ||11||

लोड़ीदो हभ जाइ सो मीरा मीरंन सिरि ॥
I have searched everywhere for the King over the heads of kings.
ਹਠ ਮੰਝਾਹੂ ਸੋ ਧਣੀ ਚਉਦੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਅਲਾਇ ॥੧॥
Hath Manjhaahoo So Dhhanee Choudho Mukh Alaae ||1||
हठ मंझाहू सो धणी चउदो मुखि अलाइ ॥१॥
That Master is within my heart; I chant His Name with my mouth. ||1||

माणिकू मोहि माउ डिंना धणी अपाहि ॥
O my mother, the Master has blessed me with the jewel.
ਹਿਆਉ ਮਹਿਜਾ ਠੰਢੜਾ ਮੁਖਹੁ ਸਚੁ ਅਲਾਇ ॥੨॥
Hiaao Mehijaa Thandtarraa Mukhahu Sach Alaae ||2||
हिआउ महिजा ठंढड़ा मुखहु सचु अलाइ ॥२॥
My heart is cooled and soothed, chanting the True Name with my mouth. ||2||

मू थीआऊ सेज नैणा पिरी विछावणा ॥
I have become the bed for my Beloved Husband Lord; my eyes have become the sheets.
ਜੇ ਡੇਖੈ ਹਿਕ ਵਾਰ ਤਾ ਸੁਖ ਕੀਮਾ ਹੂ ਬਾਹਰੇ ॥੩॥
Jae Ddaekhai Hik Vaar Thaa Sukh Keemaa Hoo Baaharae ||3||
जे डेखै हिक वार ता सुख कीमा हू बाहरे ॥३॥
If You look at me, even for an instant, then I obtain peace beyond all price. ||3||

मनु लोचै हरि मिलण कउ किउ दरसनु पाईआ ॥
My mind longs to meet the Lord; how can I obtain the Blessed Vision of His Darshan?
ਮੈ ਲਖ ਵਿੜਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਾ ਜੇ ਬਿੰਦ ਬਲਾਈਆ ॥
Mai Lakh Virrathae Saahibaa Jae Bindh Buolaaeeaa ||
मै लख विड़ते साहिबा जे बिंद बोलाईआ ॥
I obtain hundreds of thousands, if my Lord and Master speaks to me, even for an instant.
ਮੈ ਚਾਰੇ ਕੁੰਡਾ ਭਾਲੀਆ ਤੁਧੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਨ ਸਾਈਆ ॥
Mai Chaarae Kunddaa Bhaaleeaa Thudhh Jaevadd N Saaeeaa ||
मै चारे कुंडा भालीआ तुधु जेवडु न साईआ ॥
I have searched in four directions; there is no other as great as You, Lord.
ਮੈ ਦਸਿਹੁ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਸੰਤਹੋ ਕਿਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲਾਈਆ ॥
Mai Dhasihu Maarag Santheho Kio Prabhoo Milaaeeaa ||
मै दसिहु मारगु संतहो किउ प्रभू मिलाईआ ॥
Show me the Path, O Saints. How can I meet God?
ਮਨੁ ਅਰਪਿਹੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਤਜਹੁ ਇਤੁ ਪੰਥਿ ਜੁਲਾਈਆ ॥
Man Arapihu Houmai Thajahu Eith Panthh Julaaeeaa ||
मनु अरपिहु हउमै तजहु इतु पंथि जुलाईआ ॥
I dedicate my mind to Him, and renounce my ego. This is the Path which I shall take.
ਨਿਤ ਸੇਵਿਹੁ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਤਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਈਆ ॥
Nith Saevihu Saahib Aapanaa Sathasang Milaaeeaa ||
नित सेविहु साहिबु आपणा सतसंगि मिलाईआ ॥
Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, I serve my Lord and Master continually.
ਸਭੇ ਆਸਾ ਪੂਰੀਆ ਗੁਰ ਮਹਲਿ ਬੁਲਾਈਆ ॥
Sabhae Aasaa Pooreeaa Gur Mehal Bulaaeeaa ||
सभे आसा पूरीआ गुर महलि बुलाईआ ॥
All my hopes are fulfilled; the Guru has ushered me into the Mansion of the Lord's Presence.
ਤੁਧੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਹੋਰੁ ਨ ਸੁਝਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਗਸਾਈਆ ॥੧੨॥
Thudhh Jaevadd Hor N Sujhee Maerae Mithr Guosaaeeaa ||12||
तुधु जेवडु होरु न सुझई मेरे मित्र गोसाईआ ॥१२॥
I cannot conceive of any other as great as You, O my Friend, O Lord of the World. ||12||

I have become the throne for my Beloved Lord King.
ਪਾਵ ਮਿਲਾਵੇ ਕੋਲਿ ਕਵਲ ਜਿਵੈ ਬਿਗਸਾਵਦੋ ॥੧॥
Paav Milaavae Kol Kaval Jivai Bigasaavadho ||1||
पाव मिलावे कोलि कवल जिवै बिगसावदो ॥१॥
If You place Your foot on me, I blossom forth like the lotus flower. ||1||

Pireeaa Sandharree Bhukh Moo Laavan Thhee Vithharaa ||
पिरीआ संदड़ी भुख मू लावण थी विथरा ॥
If my Beloved becomes hungry, I will become food, and place myself before Him.
ਜਾਣੁ ਮਿਠਾਈ ਇਖ ਬੇਈ ਪੀੜੇ ਨਾ ਹੁਟੈ ॥੨॥
Jaan Mithaaee Eikh Baeee Peerrae Naa Huttai ||2||
जाणु मिठाई इख बेई पीड़े ना हुटै ॥२॥
I may be crushed, again and again, but like sugarcane, I do not stop yielding sweet juice. ||2||

ठगा नीहु मत्रोड़ि जाणु गंध्रबा नगरी ॥
Break off your love with the cheaters; realize that it is a mirage.
ਸੁਖ ਘਟਾਊ ਡੂਇ ਇਸੁ ਪੰਧਾਣੂ ਘਰ ਘਣੇ ॥੩॥
Sukh Ghattaaoo Ddooe Eis Pandhhaanoo Ghar Ghanae ||3||
सुख घटाऊ डूइ इसु पंधाणू घर घणे ॥३॥
Your pleasure lasts for only two moments; this traveller wanders through countless homes. ||3||
