गुर सबदी हरि भजु सुरति समाइणु ॥१॥
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, vibrate and meditate on the Lord; let your awareness be absorbed in Him. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਰਾਇਣੁ ॥
Maerae Man Har Bhaj Naam Naraaein ||
मेरे मन हरि भजु नामु नराइणु ॥
O my mind, vibrate and meditate on the Lord and the Name of the Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਤਰਾਇਣੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

हरि हरि क्रिपा करे सुखदाता गुरमुखि भवजलु हरि नामि तराइणु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The Lord, Har, Har, the Giver of Peace, grants His Grace; the Gurmukh crosses over the terrifying world-ocean through the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਮੇਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਇਣੁ ॥
Sangath Saadhh Mael Har Gaaein ||
संगति साध मेलि हरि गाइणु ॥
Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, sing of the Lord.
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਲੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ॥੨॥
Guramathee Lae Raam Rasaaein ||2||
गुरमती ले राम रसाइणु ॥२॥
Follow the Guru's Teachings, and you shall obtain the Lord, the Source of Nectar. ||2||
ਗੁਰ ਸਾਧੂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਗਿਆਨ ਸਰਿ ਨਾਇਣੁ ॥
Gur Saadhhoo Anmrith Giaan Sar Naaein ||
गुर साधू अम्रित गिआन सरि नाइणु ॥
Bathe in the pool of ambrosial nectar, the spiritual wisdom of the Holy Guru.
ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਪਾਪ ਗਏ ਗਾਵਾਇਣੁ ॥੩॥
Sabh Kilavikh Paap Geae Gaavaaein ||3||
सभि किलविख पाप गए गावाइणु ॥३॥
All sins will be eliminated and eradicated. ||3||
ਤੂ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਧਰਾਇਣੁ ॥
Thoo Aapae Karathaa Srisatt Dhharaaein ||
तू आपे करता स्रिसटि धराइणु ॥
You Yourself are the Creator, the Support of the Universe.
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਦਸਾਇਣੁ ॥੪॥੧॥

Fruitful is that moment when the Lord's Name is spoken.

गुर उपदेसि सभि दुख परहरी ॥१॥

Kar Kirapaa Maelahu Gur Pooraa Sathasangath Sang Sindhh Bho Tharee ||1|| Rehaao ||
करि किरपा मेलहु गुरु पूरा सतसंगति संगि सिंधु भउ तरी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
O Lord, be merciful, and unite me with the Perfect Guru. Joining with the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, I shall cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||Pause||
ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰੀ ॥
Jagajeevan Dhhiaae Man Har Simaree ||
जगजीवनु धिआइ मनि हरि सिमरी ॥
Meditate on the Life of the World; remember the Lord in your mind.
ਕੋਟ ਕੋਟੰਤਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਪਰਹਰੀ ॥੨॥
Kott Kottanthar Thaerae Paap Pareharee ||2||
कोट कोटंतर तेरे पाप परहरी ॥२॥
Millions upon millions of your sins shall be taken away. ||2||
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਧੂਰਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਪਰੀ ॥
Sathasangath Saadhh Dhhoor Mukh Paree ||
सतसंगति साध धूरि मुखि परी ॥
In the Sat Sangat, apply the dust of the feet of the holy to your face;
ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ਕੀਓ ਅਠਸਠਿ ਸੁਰਸਰੀ ॥੩॥
Eisanaan Keeou Athasath Surasaree ||3||
इसनानु कीओ अठसठि सुरसरी ॥३॥
This is how to bathe in the sixty-eight sacred shrines, and the Ganges. ||3||
ਹਮ ਮੂਰਖ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੀ ॥
Ham Moorakh Ko Har Kirapaa Karee ||
हम मूरख कउ हरि किरपा करी ॥
I am a fool; the Lord has shown mercy to me.
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਾਰਿਓ ਤਾਰਣ ਹਰੀ ॥੪॥੨॥

To do good deeds is the best rosary.
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਫੇਰਿ ਚਲੈ ਤੁਧੁ ਨਾਲੀ ॥੧॥
Hiradhai Faer Chalai Thudhh Naalee ||1||
हिरदै फेरि चलै तुधु नाली ॥१॥
Chant on the beads within your heart, and it shall go along with you. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਬਨਵਾਲੀ ॥
Har Har Naam Japahu Banavaalee ||
हरि हरि नामु जपहु बनवाली ॥
Chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the Lord of the forest.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਤੂਟਿ ਗਈ ਮਾਇਆ ਜਮ ਜਾਲੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Maelahu Sathasangath Thoott Gee Maaeiaa Jam Jaalee ||1|| Rehaao ||
करि किरपा मेलहु सतसंगति तूटि गई माइआ जम जाली ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Have mercy on me, Lord, and unite me with the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, so that I may be released from Maya's noose of death. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਘਾਲ ਜਿਨਿ ਘਾਲੀ ॥
Guramukh Saevaa Ghaal Jin Ghaalee ||
गुरमुखि सेवा घाल जिनि घाली ॥
Whoever, as Gurmukh, serves and works hard,
ਤਿਸੁ ਘੜੀਐ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਚੀ ਟਕਸਾਲੀ ॥੨॥
This Gharreeai Sabadh Sachee Ttakasaalee ||2||
तिसु घड़ीऐ सबदु सची टकसाली ॥२॥
Is molded and shaped in the true mint of the Shabad, the Word of God. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਦਿਖਾਲੀ ॥
Har Agam Agochar Gur Agam Dhikhaalee ||
हरि अगम अगोचरु गुरि अगम दिखाली ॥
The Guru has revealed to me the Inaccessible and Unfathomable Lord.
ਵਿਚਿ ਕਾਇਆ ਨਗਰ ਲਧਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਲੀ ॥੩॥
Vich Kaaeiaa Nagar Ladhhaa Har Bhaalee ||3||
विचि काइआ नगर लधा हरि भाली ॥३॥
Searching within the body-village, I have found the Lord. ||3||
ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੀ ॥
Ham Baarik Har Pithaa Prathipaalee ||
हम बारिक हरि पिता प्रतिपाली ॥
I am just a child; the Lord is my Father, who nurtures and cherishes me.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾਰਹੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲੀ ॥੪॥੩॥

जन नानक तारहु नदरि निहाली ॥४॥३॥

All hearts are Yours, Lord; You are in all.
ਤੁਝ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਕੋਈ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੧॥
Thujh Thae Baahar Koee Naahi ||1||
तुझ ते बाहरि कोई नाहि ॥१॥
There is nothing at all except You. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਜਾਪੁ ॥

हरि सुखदाता मेरे मन जापु ॥
O my mind, meditate on the Lord, the Giver of peace.

ਜਹ ਜਹ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਹ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਇ ॥
Jeh Jeh Dhaekhaa Theh Har Prabh Soe ||
जह जह देखा तह हरि प्रभु सोइ ॥
Wherever I look, I see only the Lord God.
ਸਭ ਤੇਰੈ ਵਸਿ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥੨॥
Sabh Thaerai Vas Dhoojaa Avar N Koe ||2||
सभ तेरै वसि दूजा अवरु न कोइ ॥२॥
All are under Your control; there is no other at all. ||2||
ਜਿਸ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
Jis Ko Thum Har Raakhiaa Bhaavai ||
जिस कउ तुम हरि राखिआ भावै ॥
O Lord, when it is Your Will to save someone,
ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਨੇੜੈ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
This Kai Naerrai Koe N Jaavai ||3||
तिस कै नेड़ै कोइ न जावै ॥३॥
Then nothing can threaten him. ||3||
ਤੂ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਸਭ ਤੈ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥
Thoo Jal Thhal Meheeal Sabh Thai Bharapoor ||
तू जलि थलि महीअलि सभ तै भरपूरि ॥
You are totally pervading and permeating the waters, the lands, the skies and all places.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਹਾਜਰਾ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥੪॥੪॥

जन नानक हरि जपि हाजरा हजूरि ॥४॥४॥

Har Kaa Santh Har Kee Har Moorath Jis Hiradhai Har Naam Muraar ||
हरि का संतु हरि की हरि मूरति जिसु हिरदै हरि नामु मुरारि ॥
The Lord's Saint is the embodiment of the Lord; within his heart is the Name of the Lord.
ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੋ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
Masathak Bhaag Hovai Jis Likhiaa So Guramath Hiradhai Har Naam Samhaar ||1||
मसतकि भागु होवै जिसु लिखिआ सो गुरमति हिरदै हरि नामु सम्हारि ॥१॥
One who has such destiny inscribed on his forehead, follows the Guru's Teachings, and contemplates the Name of the Lord within his heart. ||1||
