ऐसो भाउ बिदर को देखिओ ओहु गरीबु मोहि भावै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I have seen such love from Bidur, that the poor man is pleasing to me. ||1||Pause||
ਹਸਤੀ ਦੇਖਿ ਭਰਮ ਤੇ ਭੂਲਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਵਾਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥
Hasathee Dhaekh Bharam Thae Bhoolaa Sree Bhagavaan N Jaaniaa ||
हसती देखि भरम ते भूला स्री भगवानु न जानिआ ॥
Gazing upon your elephants, you have gone astray in doubt; you do not know the Great Lord God.
ਤੁਮਰੋ ਦੂਧੁ ਬਿਦਰ ਕੋ ਪਾਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੋ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਕਰਿ ਮੈ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥
Thumaro Dhoodhh Bidhar Ko Paanho Anmrith Kar Mai Maaniaa ||1||
तुमरो दूधु बिदर को पान्हो अम्रितु करि मै मानिआ ॥१॥
I judge Bidur's water to be like ambrosial nectar, in comparison with your milk. ||1||
ਖੀਰ ਸਮਾਨਿ ਸਾਗੁ ਮੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਰੈਨਿ ਬਿਹਾਨੀ ॥
Kheer Samaan Saag Mai Paaeiaa Gun Gaavath Rain Bihaanee ||
खीर समानि सागु मै पाइआ गुन गावत रैनि बिहानी ॥
I find his rough vegetables to be like rice pudding; the night of my life passes singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

Gagan Dhamaamaa Baajiou Pariou Neesaanai Ghaao ||
गगन दमामा बाजिओ परिओ नीसानै घाउ ॥
The battle-drum beats in the sky of the mind; aim is taken, and the wound is inflicted.
ਖੇਤੁ ਜੁ ਮਾਂਡਿਓ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਅਬ ਜੂਝਨ ਕੋ ਦਾਉ ॥੧॥

खेतु जु मांडिओ सूरमा अब जूझन को दाउ ॥१॥
The spiritual warriors enter the field of battle; now is the time to fight! ||1||

Sankh Chakr Maalaa Thilak Biraajith Dhaekh Prathaap Jam Ddariou ||
संख चक्र माला तिलकु बिराजित देखि प्रतापु जमु डरिओ ॥
He is adorned with the conch, the chakra, the mala and the ceremonial tilak mark on his forehead; gazing upon his radiant glory, the Messenger of Death is scared away.
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਰਾਮ ਬਲ ਗਰਜਿਤ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਸੰਤਾਪ ਹਿਰਿਓ ॥੨॥
Nirabho Bheae Raam Bal Garajith Janam Maran Santhaap Hiriou ||2||
निरभउ भए राम बल गरजित जनम मरन संताप हिरिओ ॥२॥
He becomes fearless, and the power of the Lord thunders through him; the pains of birth and death are taken away. ||2||
ਅੰਬਰੀਕ ਕਉ ਦੀਓ ਅਭੈ ਪਦੁ ਰਾਜੁ ਭਭੀਖਨ ਅਧਿਕ ਕਰਿਓ ॥
Anbareek Ko Dheeou Abhai Padh Raaj Bhabheekhan Adhhik Kariou ||
अ्मबरीक कउ दीओ अभै पदु राजु भभीखन अधिक करिओ ॥
The Lord blessed Ambreek with fearless dignity, and elevated Bhabhikhan to become king.
ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਦਈ ਸੁਦਾਮੈ ਧ੍ਰੂਅ ਅਟਲੁ ਅਜਹੂ ਨ ਟਰਿਓ ॥੩॥
No Nidhh Thaakur Dhee Sudhaamai Dhhrooa Attal Ajehoo N Ttariou ||3||
नउ निधि ठाकुरि दई सुदामै ध्रूअ अटलु अजहू न टरिओ ॥३॥
Sudama's Lord and Master blessed him with the nine treasures; he made Dhroo permanent and unmoving; as the north star, he still hasn't moved. ||3||
ਭਗਤ ਹੇਤਿ ਮਾਰਿਓ ਹਰਨਾਖਸੁ ਨਰਸਿੰਘ ਰੂਪ ਹੋਇ ਦੇਹ ਧਰਿਓ ॥
Bhagath Haeth Maariou Haranaakhas Narasingh Roop Hoe Dhaeh Dhhariou ||
भगत हेति मारिओ हरनाखसु नरसिंघ रूप होइ देह धरिओ ॥
For the sake of His devotee Prahlaad, God assumed the form of the man-lion, and killed Harnaakhash.

नामा कहै भगति बसि केसव अजहूं बलि के दुआर खरो ॥४॥१॥
Says Naam Dayv, the beautiful-haired Lord is in the power of His devotees; He is standing at Balraja's door, even now! ||4||1||

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਬਹੂ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਨੀ ਰਚਿਓ ਧੰਧੈ ਝੂਠ ॥
Saadhhasangath Kabehoo Nehee Keenee Rachiou Dhhandhhai Jhooth ||
साधसंगति कबहू नही कीनी रचिओ धंधै झूठ ॥
You never joined the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. You are engrossed in false pursuits.
ਸੁਆਨ ਸੂਕਰ ਬਾਇਸ ਜਿਵੈ ਭਟਕਤੁ ਚਾਲਿਓ ਊਠਿ ॥੧॥
Suaan Sookar Baaeis Jivai Bhattakath Chaaliou Ooth ||1||
सुआन सूकर बाइस जिवै भटकतु चालिओ ऊठि ॥१॥
You wander like a dog, a pig, a crow; soon, you shall have to get up and leave. ||1||
ਆਪਸ ਕਉ ਦੀਰਘੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨੈ ਅਉਰਨ ਕਉ ਲਗ ਮਾਤ ॥
Aapas Ko Dheeragh Kar Jaanai Aouran Ko Lag Maath ||
आपस कउ दीरघु करि जानै अउरन कउ लग मात ॥
You believe that you yourself are great, and that others are small.
ਮਨਸਾ ਬਾਚਾ ਕਰਮਨਾ ਮੈ ਦੇਖੇ ਦੋਜਕ ਜਾਤ ॥੨॥

मनसा बाचा करमना मै देखे दोजक जात ॥२॥
Those who are false in thought, word and deed, I have seen them going to hell. ||2||
ਕਾਮੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੀ ਚਾਤੁਰੀ ਬਾਜੀਗਰ ਬੇਕਾਮ ॥

कामी क्रोधी चातुरी बाजीगर बेकाम ॥
The lustful, the angry, the clever, the deceitful and the lazy
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਤੇ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਿਰਾਨੋ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਸਿਮਰਿਓ ਰਾਮੁ ॥੩॥
Nindhaa Karathae Janam Siraano Kabehoo N Simariou Raam ||3||
निंदा करते जनमु सिरानो कबहू न सिमरिओ रामु ॥३॥
Waste their lives in slander, and never remember their Lord in meditation. ||3||
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਚੇਤੈ ਨਹੀ ਮੂਰਖੁ ਮੁਗਧੁ ਗਵਾਰੁ ॥
Kehi Kabeer Chaethai Nehee Moorakh Mugadhh Gavaar ||
कहि कबीर चेतै नही मूरखु मुगधु गवारु ॥
Says Kabeer, the fools, the idiots and the brutes do not remember the Lord.
ਰਾਮੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਾਨਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਕੈਸੇ ਉਤਰਸਿ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੧॥
