ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਭਜੁ ਅਚੁਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਵਣਾ ॥੩॥
Saadhhasang Bhaj Achuth Suaamee Dharageh Sobhaa Paavanaa ||3||
साधसंगि भजु अचुत सुआमी दरगह सोभा पावणा ॥३॥
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, meditate and vibrate upon your imperishable Lord and Master, and you shall be honored in the Court of the Lord. ||3||
ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਅਸਟ ਦਸਾ ਸਿਧਿ ॥
Chaar Padhaarathh Asatt Dhasaa Sidhh ||
चारि पदारथ असट दसा सिधि ॥
The four great blessings, and the eighteen miraculous spiritual powers,
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖੁ ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ॥
Naam Nidhhaan Sehaj Sukh No Nidhh ||
नामु निधानु सहज सुखु नउ निधि ॥
Are found in the treasure of the Naam, which brings celestial peace and poise, and the nine treasures.
ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਜੇ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਚਾਹਹਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਾਵਣਾ ॥੪॥
Sarab Kaliaan Jae Man Mehi Chaahehi Mil Saadhhoo Suaamee Raavanaa ||4||
सरब कलिआण जे मन महि चाहहि मिलि साधू सुआमी रावणा ॥४॥
If you yearn in your mind for all joys, then join the Saadh Sangat, and dwell upon your Lord and Master. ||4||
ਸਾਸਤ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਬੇਦ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥
Saasath Sinmrith Baedh Vakhaanee ||
सासत सिम्रिति बेद वखाणी ॥
The Shaastras, the Simritees and the Vedas proclaim
ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜੀਤੁ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥
Janam Padhaarathh Jeeth Paraanee ||
जनमु पदारथु जीतु पराणी ॥
That the mortal must be victorious in this priceless human life.
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਪਰਹਰੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਨਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਗਾਵਣਾ ॥੫॥
Kaam Krodhh Nindhaa Parehareeai Har Rasanaa Naanak Gaavanaa ||5||
कामु क्रोधु निंदा परहरीऐ हरि रसना नानक गावणा ॥५॥
Forsaking sexual desire, anger and slander, sing of the Lord with your tongue, O Nanak. ||5||
ਜਿਸੁ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਰੇਖਿਆ ਕੁਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਤੀ ॥
Jis Roop N Raekhiaa Kul Nehee Jaathee ||
जिसु रूपु न रेखिआ कुलु नही जाती ॥
He has no form or shape, no ancestry or social class.
ਪੂਰਨ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ॥
Pooran Poor Rehiaa Dhin Raathee ||
पूरन पूरि रहिआ दिनु राती ॥
The Perfect Lord is perfectly pervading day and night.
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਜਪੈ ਸੋਈ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਜੋਨੀ ਪਾਵਣਾ ॥੬॥
Jo Jo Japai Soee Vaddabhaagee Bahurr N Jonee Paavanaa ||6||
जो जो जपै सोई वडभागी बहुड़ि न जोनी पावणा ॥६॥
Whoever meditates on Him is very fortunate; he is not consigned to reincarnation again. ||6||
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥
Jis No Bisarai Purakh Bidhhaathaa ||
जिस नो बिसरै पुरखु बिधाता ॥
One who forgets the Primal Lord, the Architect of karma,
ਜਲਤਾ ਫਿਰੈ ਰਹੈ ਨਿਤ ਤਾਤਾ ॥
Jalathaa Firai Rehai Nith Thaathaa ||
जलता फिरै रहै नित ताता ॥
Wanders around burning, and remains tormented.
ਅਕਿਰਤਘਣੈ ਕਉ ਰਖੈ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਨਰਕ ਘੋਰ ਮਹਿ ਪਾਵਣਾ ॥੭॥
Akirathaghanai Ko Rakhai N Koee Narak Ghor Mehi Paavanaa ||7||
अकिरतघणै कउ रखै न कोई नरक घोर महि पावणा ॥७॥
No one can save such an ungrateful person; he is thrown into the most horrible hell. ||7||
ਜੀਉ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਜਿਆ ॥
Jeeo Praan Than Dhhan Jin Saajiaa ||
जीउ प्राण तनु धनु जिनि साजिआ ॥
He blessed you with your soul, the breath of life, your body and wealth;
ਮਾਤ ਗਰਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਖਿ ਨਿਵਾਜਿਆ ॥
Maath Garabh Mehi Raakh Nivaajiaa ||
मात गरभ महि राखि निवाजिआ ॥
He preserved and nurtured you in your mother's womb.
ਤਿਸ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਛਾਡਿ ਅਨ ਰਾਤਾ ਕਾਹੂ ਸਿਰੈ ਨ ਲਾਵਣਾ ॥੮॥
This Sio Preeth Shhaadd An Raathaa Kaahoo Sirai N Laavanaa ||8||
तिस सिउ प्रीति छाडि अन राता काहू सिरै न लावणा ॥८॥
Forsaking His Love, you are imbued with another; you shall never achieve your goals like this. ||8||
ਧਾਰਿ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
Dhhaar Anugrahu Suaamee Maerae ||
धारि अनुग्रहु सुआमी मेरे ॥
Please shower me with Your Merciful Grace, O my Lord and Master.
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਵਸਹਿ ਸਭਨ ਕੈ ਨੇਰੇ ॥
Ghatt Ghatt Vasehi Sabhan Kai Naerae ||
घटि घटि वसहि सभन कै नेरे ॥
You dwell in each and every heart, and are near everyone.
ਹਾਥਿ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਕਛੂਐ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਜਣਾਇਹਿ ਤਿਸੈ ਜਣਾਵਣਾ ॥੯॥
Haathh Hamaarai Kashhooai Naahee Jis Janaaeihi Thisai Janaavanaa ||9||
हाथि हमारै कछूऐ नाही जिसु जणाइहि तिसै जणावणा ॥९॥
Nothing is in my hands; he alone knows, whom You inspire to know. ||9||
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਧੁਰਿ ਲਿਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Jaa Kai Masathak Dhhur Likh Paaeiaa ||
जा कै मसतकि धुरि लिखि पाइआ ॥
One who has such pre-ordained destiny inscribed upon his forehead,
ਤਿਸ ਹੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਨ ਵਿਆਪੈ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
This Hee Purakh N Viaapai Maaeiaa ||
तिस ही पुरख न विआपै माइआ ॥
That person is not afflicted by Maya.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸਦਾ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਦੂਸਰ ਲਵੈ ਨ ਲਾਵਣਾ ॥੧੦॥
Naanak Dhaas Sadhaa Saranaaee Dhoosar Lavai N Laavanaa ||10||
नानक दास सदा सरणाई दूसर लवै न लावणा ॥१०॥
Slave Nanak seeks Your Sanctuary forever; there is no other equal to You. ||10||
ਆਗਿਆ ਦੂਖ ਸੂਖ ਸਭਿ ਕੀਨੇ ॥
Aagiaa Dhookh Sookh Sabh Keenae ||
आगिआ दूख सूख सभि कीने ॥
In His Will, He made all pain and pleasure.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਬਿਰਲੈ ਹੀ ਚੀਨੇ ॥
Anmrith Naam Biralai Hee Cheenae ||
अम्रित नामु बिरलै ही चीने ॥
How rare are those who remember the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਜਤ ਕਤ ਓਹੀ ਸਮਾਵਣਾ ॥੧੧॥
Thaa Kee Keemath Kehan N Jaaee Jath Kath Ouhee Samaavanaa ||11||
ता की कीमति कहणु न जाई जत कत ओही समावणा ॥११॥
His value cannot be described. He is prevailing everywhere. ||11||
ਸੋਈ ਭਗਤੁ ਸੋਈ ਵਡ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
Soee Bhagath Soee Vadd Dhaathaa ||
सोई भगतु सोई वड दाता ॥
He is the devotee; He is the Great Giver.
ਸੋਈ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥
Soee Pooran Purakh Bidhhaathaa ||
सोई पूरन पुरखु बिधाता ॥
He is the Perfect Primal Lord, the Architect of karma.
ਬਾਲ ਸਹਾਈ ਸੋਈ ਤੇਰਾ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵਣਾ ॥੧੨॥
Baal Sehaaee Soee Thaeraa Jo Thaerai Man Bhaavanaa ||12||
बाल सहाई सोई तेरा जो तेरै मनि भावणा ॥१२॥
He is your help and support, since infancy; He fulfills your mind's desires. ||12||
ਮਿਰਤੁ ਦੂਖ ਸੂਖ ਲਿਖਿ ਪਾਏ ॥
Mirath Dhookh Sookh Likh Paaeae ||
मिरतु दूख सूख लिखि पाए ॥
Death, pain and pleasure are ordained by the Lord.
ਤਿਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਬਧਹਿ ਘਟਹਿ ਨ ਘਟਾਏ ॥
Thil Nehee Badhhehi Ghattehi N Ghattaaeae ||
तिलु नही बधहि घटहि न घटाए ॥
They do not increase or decrease by anyone's efforts.
ਸੋਈ ਹੋਇ ਜਿ ਕਰਤੇ ਭਾਵੈ ਕਹਿ ਕੈ ਆਪੁ ਵਞਾਵਣਾ ॥੧੩॥
Soee Hoe J Karathae Bhaavai Kehi Kai Aap Vanjaavanaa ||13||
सोई होइ जि करते भावै कहि कै आपु वञावणा ॥१३॥
That alone happens, which is pleasing to the Creator; speaking of himself, the mortal ruins himself. ||13||
ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਤੇ ਸੇਈ ਕਾਢੇ ॥
Andhh Koop Thae Saeee Kaadtae ||
अंध कूप ते सेई काढे ॥
He lifts us up and pulls us out of the deep dark pit;
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਟੂਟੇ ਗਾਂਢੇ ॥
Janam Janam Kae Ttoottae Gaandtae ||
जनम जनम के टूटे गांढे ॥
He unites with Himself, those who were separated for so many incarnations.
ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ਰਖੇ ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਧਿਆਵਣਾ ॥੧੪॥
Kirapaa Dhhaar Rakhae Kar Apunae Mil Saadhhoo Gobindh Dhhiaavanaa ||14||
किरपा धारि रखे करि अपुने मिलि साधू गोबिंदु धिआवणा ॥१४॥
Showering them with His Mercy, He protects them with His own hands. Meeting with the Holy Saints, they meditate on the Lord of the Universe. ||14||
ਤੇਰੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
Thaeree Keemath Kehan N Jaaee ||
तेरी कीमति कहणु न जाई ॥
Your worth cannot be described.
ਅਚਰਜ ਰੂਪੁ ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥
Acharaj Roop Vaddee Vaddiaaee ||
अचरज रूपु वडी वडिआई ॥
Wondrous is Your form, and Your glorious greatness.
ਭਗਤਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਮੰਗੈ ਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਵਣਾ ॥੧੫॥੧॥੧੪॥੨੨॥੨੪॥੨॥੧੪॥੬੨॥

Vin Gaahak Gun Vaecheeai Tho Gun Sehagho Jaae ||
विणु गाहक गुणु वेचीऐ तउ गुणु सहघो जाइ ॥
If virtue is sold when there is no buyer, then it is sold very cheap.
ਗੁਣ ਕਾ ਗਾਹਕੁ ਜੇ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਉ ਗੁਣੁ ਲਾਖ ਵਿਕਾਇ ॥
Gun Kaa Gaahak Jae Milai Tho Gun Laakh Vikaae ||
गुण का गाहकु जे मिलै तउ गुणु लाख विकाइ ॥
But if one meets a buyer of virtue, then virtue sells for hundreds of thousands.
