अह्मबुधि मन पूरि थिधाई ॥
The mind is overflowing with the greasy dirt of egotistical pride.
ਸਾਧ ਧੂਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਸੁਧ ਮੰਜਾਈ ॥੧॥
Saadhh Dhhoor Kar Sudhh Manjaaee ||1||
साध धूरि करि सुध मंजाई ॥१॥
With the dust of the feet of the Holy, it is scrubbed clean. ||1||
ਅਨਿਕ ਜਲਾ ਜੇ ਧੋਵੈ ਦੇਹੀ ॥
Anik Jalaa Jae Dhhovai Dhaehee ||
अनिक जला जे धोवै देही ॥
The body may be washed with loads of water,
ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਸੁਧੁ ਨ ਤੇਹੀ ॥੨॥
Mail N Outharai Sudhh N Thaehee ||2||
मैलु न उतरै सुधु न तेही ॥२॥
And yet its filth is not removed, and it does not become clean. ||2||

जिन मिलिआ आतम परगासु ॥१॥
Meeting them, the soul is enlightened. ||1||

हरि का सिमरनु सुनि मन कानी ॥

Peace and tranquility have come; the Guru, the Lord of the Universe, has brought it.

With your tongue, continually chant the Lord's Name.

Binasae Rog Bheae Kaliaan ||1||
बिनसे रोग भए कलिआन ॥१॥
Disease shall depart, and you shall be saved. ||1||
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗੁਣ ਅਗਮ ਬੀਚਾਰ ॥

पारब्रहम गुण अगम बीचार ॥
Contemplate the Glorious Virtues of the Unfathomable Supreme Lord God.

साधू संगमि है निसतार ॥२॥
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, you shall be emancipated. ||2||

निरमल गुण गावहु नित नीत ॥
Sing the Glories of God each and every day;
ਗਈ ਬਿਆਧਿ ਉਬਰੇ ਜਨ ਮੀਤ ॥੩॥
Gee Biaadhh Oubarae Jan Meeth ||3||
गई बिआधि उबरे जन मीत ॥३॥
Your afflictions shall be dispelled, and you shall be saved, my humble friend. ||3||
ਮਨ ਬਚ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਧਿਆਈ ॥

मन बच क्रम प्रभु अपना धिआई ॥
In thought, word and deed, I meditate on my God.

The Giver of joy has saved him from smallpox.

The Supreme Lord God has granted His Grace. ||1||

नानक नामु जपै सो जीवै ॥
O Nanak, he alone lives, who chants the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

धनु ओहु मसतकु धनु तेरे नेत ॥
Blessed is that forehead, and blessed are those eyes;
ਧਨੁ ਓਇ ਭਗਤ ਜਿਨ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਹੇਤ ॥੧॥

धनु ओइ भगत जिन तुम संगि हेत ॥१॥
Blessed are those devotees who are in love with You. ||1||
ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੈਸੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਲਹੀਐ ॥
Naam Binaa Kaisae Sukh Leheeai ||
नाम बिना कैसे सुखु लहीऐ ॥
Without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, how anyone find peace?

तूहै राखहि सारि समालि ॥१॥
You preserve, protect and care for me. ||1||
ਐਸਾ ਰਾਮੁ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਨੀ ਸਹਾਈ ॥
Aisaa Raam Dheen Dhunee Sehaaee ||
ऐसा रामु दीन दुनी सहाई ॥
Such is the Lord, our Help and Support in this world and the next.
ਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਰਖੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

दास की पैज रखै मेरे भाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
He protects the honor of His slave, O my Sibling of Destiny. ||1||Pause||
ਆਗੈ ਆਪਿ ਇਹੁ ਥਾਨੁ ਵਸਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ॥
Aagai Aap Eihu Thhaan Vas Jaa Kai ||
आगै आपि इहु थानु वसि जा कै ॥
He alone exists hereafter; this place is in His Power.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਉ ਜਾਪੈ ॥੨॥

पति परवाणु सचु नीसाणु ॥
His honor is acknowledged, and he bears the True Insignia;
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਫੁਰਮਾਨੁ ॥੩॥
Jaa Ko Aap Karehi Furamaan ||3||
जा कउ आपि करहि फुरमानु ॥३॥
The Lord Himself issues His Royal Command. ||3||
ਆਪੇ ਦਾਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਿ ॥
Aapae Dhaathaa Aap Prathipaal ||
आपे दाता आपि प्रतिपालि ॥
He Himself is the Giver; He Himself is the Cherisher.
ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥੪॥੧੦੫॥੧੭੪॥
Nith Nith Naanak Raam Naam Samaal ||4||105||174||

हिरदै वसिआ सदा गुपालु ॥१॥
The Lord of the World abides in the heart forever. ||1||
ਰਾਮੁ ਰਵਤ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
