ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਪਿਆਸ ਦਰਸਨ ਘਣੀ ਕੋਈ ਆਣਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ਮਾਇ ॥
Man Than Piaas Dharasan Ghanee Koee Aan Milaavai Maae ||
मनि तनि पिआस दरसन घणी कोई आणि मिलावै माइ ॥
My mind and body are so thirsty for the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. Won't someone please come and lead me to him, O my mother.
ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੇ ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਲਾਗਾ ਪਾਇ ॥
Santh Sehaaee Praem Kae Ho Thin Kai Laagaa Paae ||
संत सहाई प्रेम के हउ तिन कै लागा पाइ ॥
The Saints are the helpers of the Lord's lovers; I fall and touch their feet.
ਵਿਣੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਉ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਦੂਜੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥
Vin Prabh Kio Sukh Paaeeai Dhoojee Naahee Jaae ||
विणु प्रभ किउ सुखु पाईऐ दूजी नाही जाइ ॥
Without God, how can I find peace? There is nowhere else to go.
ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸੁ ਸੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਰਹੇ ਆਘਾਇ ॥
Jinnhee Chaakhiaa Praem Ras Sae Thripath Rehae Aaghaae ||
जिंन्ही चाखिआ प्रेम रसु से त्रिपति रहे आघाइ ॥
Those who have tasted the sublime essence of His Love, remain satisfied and fulfilled.
ਆਪੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਕਰਹਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ॥
Aap Thiaag Binathee Karehi Laehu Prabhoo Larr Laae ||
आपु तिआगि बिनती करहि लेहु प्रभू लड़ि लाइ ॥
They renounce their selfishness and conceit, and they pray, ""God, please attach me to the hem of Your robe.""
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਕੰਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਈਆ ਸਿ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਕਤਹਿ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
Jo Har Kanth Milaaeeaa S Vishhurr Kathehi N Jaae ||
जो हरि कंति मिलाईआ सि विछुड़ि कतहि न जाइ ॥
Those whom the Husband Lord has united with Himself, shall not be separated from Him again.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਵਿਣੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਾਇ ॥
Prabh Vin Dhoojaa Ko Nehee Naanak Har Saranaae ||
प्रभ विणु दूजा को नही नानक हरि सरणाइ ॥
Without God, there is no other at all. Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of the Lord.
ਅਸੂ ਸੁਖੀ ਵਸੰਦੀਆ ਜਿਨਾ ਮਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥੮॥
Asoo Sukhee Vasandheeaa Jinaa Maeiaa Har Raae ||8||
असू सुखी वसंदीआ जिना मइआ हरि राइ ॥८॥
In Assu, the Lord, the Sovereign King, has granted His Mercy, and they dwell in peace. ||8||
ਕਤਿਕਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਣੇ ਦੋਸੁ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਜੋਗੁ ॥
Kathik Karam Kamaavanae Dhos N Kaahoo Jog ||
कतिकि करम कमावणे दोसु न काहू जोगु ॥
In the month of Katak, do good deeds. Do not try to blame anyone else.
ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਤੇ ਭੁਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਆਪਨਿ ਸਭੇ ਰੋਗ ॥
Paramaesar Thae Bhuliaaan Viaapan Sabhae Rog ||
परमेसर ते भुलिआं विआपनि सभे रोग ॥
Forgetting the Transcendent Lord, all sorts of illnesses are contracted.
ਵੇਮੁਖ ਹੋਏ ਰਾਮ ਤੇ ਲਗਨਿ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਜੋਗ ॥
Vaemukh Hoeae Raam Thae Lagan Janam Vijog ||
वेमुख होए राम ते लगनि जनम विजोग ॥
Those who turn their backs on the Lord shall be separated from Him and consigned to reincarnation, over and over again.
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਕਉੜੇ ਹੋਇ ਗਏ ਜਿਤੜੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਭੋਗ ॥
Khin Mehi Kourrae Hoe Geae Jitharrae Maaeiaa Bhog ||
खिन महि कउड़े होइ गए जितड़े माइआ भोग ॥
In an instant, all of Maya's sensual pleasures turn bitter.
ਵਿਚੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਕਰਿ ਸਕੈ ਕਿਸ ਥੈ ਰੋਵਹਿ ਰੋਜ ॥
Vich N Koee Kar Sakai Kis Thhai Rovehi Roj ||
विचु न कोई करि सकै किस थै रोवहि रोज ॥
No one can then serve as your intermediary. Unto whom can we turn and cry?
ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਧੁਰਿ ਸੰਜੋਗ ॥
Keethaa Kishhoo N Hovee Likhiaa Dhhur Sanjog ||
कीता किछू न होवई लिखिआ धुरि संजोग ॥
By one's own actions, nothing can be done; destiny was pre-determined from the very beginning.
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਤਰਹਿ ਸਭਿ ਬਿਓਗ ॥
Vaddabhaagee Maeraa Prabh Milai Thaan Outharehi Sabh Bioug ||
वडभागी मेरा प्रभु मिलै तां उतरहि सभि बिओग ॥
By great good fortune, I meet my God, and then all pain of separation departs.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਬੰਦੀ ਮੋਚ ॥
Naanak Ko Prabh Raakh Laehi Maerae Saahib Bandhee Moch ||
नानक कउ प्रभ राखि लेहि मेरे साहिब बंदी मोच ॥
Please protect Nanak, God; O my Lord and Master, please release me from bondage.
ਕਤਿਕ ਹੋਵੈ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ਬਿਨਸਹਿ ਸਭੇ ਸੋਚ ॥੯॥
Kathik Hovai Saadhhasang Binasehi Sabhae Soch ||9||
कतिक होवै साधसंगु बिनसहि सभे सोच ॥९॥
In Katak, in the Company of the Holy, all anxiety vanishes. ||9||
ਮੰਘਿਰਿ ਮਾਹਿ ਸੋਹੰਦੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਰ ਸੰਗਿ ਬੈਠੜੀਆਹ ॥
Manghir Maahi Sohandheeaa Har Pir Sang Baitharreeaah ||
मंघिरि माहि सोहंदीआ हरि पिर संगि बैठड़ीआह ॥
In the month of Maghar, those who sit with their Beloved Husband Lord are beautiful.
ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਕਿਆ ਗਣੀ ਜਿ ਸਾਹਿਬਿ ਮੇਲੜੀਆਹ ॥
Thin Kee Sobhaa Kiaa Ganee J Saahib Maelarreeaah ||
तिन की सोभा किआ गणी जि साहिबि मेलड़ीआह ॥
How can their glory be measured? Their Lord and Master blends them with Himself.
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਮਉਲਿਆ ਰਾਮ ਸਿਉ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਧ ਸਹੇਲੜੀਆਹ ॥
Than Man Mouliaa Raam Sio Sang Saadhh Sehaelarreeaah ||
तनु मनु मउलिआ राम सिउ संगि साध सहेलड़ीआह ॥
Their bodies and minds blossom forth in the Lord; they have the companionship of the Holy Saints.
ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਸੇ ਰਹਨਿ ਇਕੇਲੜੀਆਹ ॥
Saadhh Janaa Thae Baaharee Sae Rehan Eikaelarreeaah ||
साध जना ते बाहरी से रहनि इकेलड़ीआह ॥
Those who lack the Company of the Holy, remain all alone.
ਤਿਨ ਦੁਖੁ ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਉਤਰੈ ਸੇ ਜਮ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਪੜੀਆਹ ॥
Thin Dhukh N Kabehoo Outharai Sae Jam Kai Vas Parreeaah ||
तिन दुखु न कबहू उतरै से जम कै वसि पड़ीआह ॥
Their pain never departs, and they fall into the grip of the Messenger of Death.
ਜਿਨੀ ਰਾਵਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੇ ਦਿਸਨਿ ਨਿਤ ਖੜੀਆਹ ॥
Jinee Raaviaa Prabh Aapanaa Sae Dhisan Nith Kharreeaah ||
जिनी राविआ प्रभु आपणा से दिसनि नित खड़ीआह ॥
Those who have ravished and enjoyed their God, are seen to be continually exalted and uplifted.
ਰਤਨ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਲਾਲ ਹਰਿ ਕੰਠਿ ਤਿਨਾ ਜੜੀਆਹ ॥
Rathan Javaehar Laal Har Kanth Thinaa Jarreeaah ||
रतन जवेहर लाल हरि कंठि तिना जड़ीआह ॥
They wear the Necklace of the jewels, emeralds and rubies of the Lord's Name.
ਨਾਨਕ ਬਾਂਛੈ ਧੂੜਿ ਤਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣੀ ਦਰਿ ਪੜੀਆਹ ॥
Naanak Baanshhai Dhhoorr Thin Prabh Saranee Dhar Parreeaah ||
नानक बांछै धूड़ि तिन प्रभ सरणी दरि पड़ीआह ॥
Nanak seeks the dust of the feet of those who take to the Sanctuary of the Lord's Door.
ਮੰਘਿਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਰਾਧਣਾ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਜਨਮੜੀਆਹ ॥੧੦॥
Manghir Prabh Aaraadhhanaa Bahurr N Janamarreeaah ||10||
मंघिरि प्रभु आराधणा बहुड़ि न जनमड़ीआह ॥१०॥
Those who worship and adore God in Maghar, do not suffer the cycle of reincarnation ever again. ||10||
ਪੋਖਿ ਤੁਖਾਰੁ ਨ ਵਿਆਪਈ ਕੰਠਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਹੁ ॥
Pokh Thukhaar N Viaapee Kanth Miliaa Har Naahu ||
पोखि तुखारु न विआपई कंठि मिलिआ हरि नाहु ॥
In the month of Poh, the cold does not touch those, whom the Husband Lord hugs close in His Embrace.
ਮਨੁ ਬੇਧਿਆ ਚਰਨਾਰਬਿੰਦ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਲਗੜਾ ਸਾਹੁ ॥
Man Baedhhiaa Charanaarabindh Dharasan Lagarraa Saahu ||
मनु बेधिआ चरनारबिंद दरसनि लगड़ा साहु ॥
Their minds are transfixed by His Lotus Feet. They are attached to the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan.
ਓਟ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਰਾਇ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਲਾਹੁ ॥
Outt Govindh Gopaal Raae Saevaa Suaamee Laahu ||
ओट गोविंद गोपाल राइ सेवा सुआमी लाहु ॥
Seek the Protection of the Lord of the Universe; His service is truly profitable.
ਬਿਖਿਆ ਪੋਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਈ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਹੁ ॥
Bikhiaa Pohi N Sakee Mil Saadhhoo Gun Gaahu ||
बिखिआ पोहि न सकई मिलि साधू गुण गाहु ॥
Corruption shall not touch you, when you join the Holy Saints and sing the Lord's Praises.
ਜਹ ਤੇ ਉਪਜੀ ਤਹ ਮਿਲੀ ਸਚੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਮਾਹੁ ॥
Jeh Thae Oupajee Theh Milee Sachee Preeth Samaahu ||
जह ते उपजी तह मिली सची प्रीति समाहु ॥
From where it originated, there the soul is blended again. It is absorbed in the Love of the True Lord.
ਕਰੁ ਗਹਿ ਲੀਨੀ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਵਿਛੁੜੀਆਹੁ ॥
Kar Gehi Leenee Paarabreham Bahurr N Vishhurreeaahu ||
करु गहि लीनी पारब्रहमि बहुड़ि न विछुड़ीआहु ॥
When the Supreme Lord God grasps someone's hand, he shall never again suffer separation from Him.
ਬਾਰਿ ਜਾਉ ਲਖ ਬੇਰੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਸਜਣੁ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਹੁ ॥
Baar Jaao Lakh Baereeaa Har Sajan Agam Agaahu ||
बारि जाउ लख बेरीआ हरि सजणु अगम अगाहु ॥
I am a sacrifice, 100,000 times, to the Lord, my Friend, the Unapproachable and Unfathomable.
ਸਰਮ ਪਈ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਿ ਪਈਆਹੁ ॥
Saram Pee Naaraaeinai Naanak Dhar Peeaahu ||
सरम पई नाराइणै नानक दरि पईआहु ॥
Please preserve my honor, Lord; Nanak begs at Your Door.
ਪੋਖੁ ਸਹੰਦਾ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਜਿਸੁ ਬਖਸੇ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ॥੧੧॥
Pokh Suohandhaa Sarab Sukh Jis Bakhasae Vaeparavaahu ||11||
पोखु सोहंदा सरब सुख जिसु बखसे वेपरवाहु ॥११॥
Poh is beautiful, and all comforts come to that one, whom the Carefree Lord has forgiven. ||11||
ਮਾਘਿ ਮਜਨੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਧੂਆ ਧੂੜੀ ਕਰਿ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ॥
Maagh Majan Sang Saadhhooaa Dhhoorree Kar Eisanaan ||
माघि मजनु संगि साधूआ धूड़ी करि इसनानु ॥
In the month of Maagh, let your cleansing bath be the dust of the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਸੁਣਿ ਸਭਨਾ ਨੋ ਕਰਿ ਦਾਨੁ ॥
Har Kaa Naam Dhhiaae Sun Sabhanaa No Kar Dhaan ||
हरि का नामु धिआइ सुणि सभना नो करि दानु ॥
Meditate and listen to the Name of the Lord, and give it to everyone.
ਜਨਮ ਕਰਮ ਮਲੁ ਉਤਰੈ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਇ ਗੁਮਾਨੁ ॥
Janam Karam Mal Outharai Man Thae Jaae Gumaan ||
जनम करम मलु उतरै मन ते जाइ गुमानु ॥
In this way, the filth of lifetimes of karma shall be removed, and egotistical pride shall vanish from your mind.
