The infinite substance is within it.

Eis Hee Bheethar Suneeath Saahu ||
इस ही भीतरि सुनीअत साहु ॥
Within it, the great merchant is said to dwell.

Naam Rathan Ko Ko Biouhaaree ||
नाम रतन को को बिउहारी ॥
How rare is that trader who deals in the jewel of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਕਰੇ ਆਹਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

मनु तनु अरपी सेव करीजै ॥
He dedicates his mind and body to serving the Lord.
ਕਵਨ ਸੁ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਜਿਤੁ ਕਰਿ ਭੀਜੈ ॥

कवन सु जुगति जितु करि भीजै ॥
How can we please the Lord?
ਪਾਇ ਲਗਉ ਤਜਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਤੇਰੈ ॥

पाइ लगउ तजि मेरा तेरै ॥
This is the way of life in the world of the faithless cynic. ||2||

While he believes the Ambrosial Naam to be bitter.

How can I get Him to call me inside?

तूं वड साहु जा के कोटि वणजारे ॥
You are the Great Merchant; You have millions of traders.

Who is the benefactor? Who can take me to Him? ||3||

खोजत खोजत निज घरु पाइआ ॥
Seeking and searching, I have found my own home, deep within my own being.
ਅਮੋਲ ਰਤਨੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਦਿਖਲਾਇਆ ॥

अमोल रतनु साचु दिखलाइआ ॥
The True Lord has shown me the priceless jewel.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਬ ਮੇਲੇ ਸਾਹਿ ॥

करि किरपा जब मेले साहि ॥
When the Great Merchant shows His Mercy, He blends us into Himself.

Night and day, they remain in the Love of the One.

प्रभ कउ जाणै सद ही संगा ॥
They know that God is always with them.
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਕੀਓ ਉਨਿ ਵਰਤਨਿ ॥

ठाकुर नामु कीओ उनि वरतनि ॥
They make the Name of their Lord and Master their way of life;

If it pleases You, then the True Guru showers His Mercy upon me.

एकु निहारहि आगिआकार ॥
They see only the One, and obey His Order.
ਏਕੋ ਬਨਜੁ ਏਕੋ ਬਿਉਹਾਰੀ ॥
Eaeko Banaj Eaeko Biouhaaree ||
एको बनजु एको बिउहारी ॥
There is only one trade, and one occupation.
ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੀ ॥੨॥
Avar N Jaanehi Bin Nirankaaree ||2||
अवरु न जानहि बिनु निरंकारी ॥२॥
They know no other than the Formless Lord. ||2||
ਹਰਖ ਸੋਗ ਦੁਹਹੂੰ ਤੇ ਮੁਕਤੇ ॥
Harakh Sog Dhuhehoon Thae Mukathae ||
हरख सोग दुहहूं ते मुकते ॥
They are free of both pleasure and pain.
ਸਦਾ ਅਲਿਪਤੁ ਜੋਗ ਅਰੁ ਜੁਗਤੇ ॥
Sadhaa Alipath Jog Ar Jugathae ||
सदा अलिपतु जोग अरु जुगते ॥
Your servant prays to You, O Lord and Master. ||3||
ਦੀਸਹਿ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਸਭ ਤੇ ਰਹਤੇ ॥
Dheesehi Sabh Mehi Sabh Thae Rehathae ||
दीसहि सभ महि सभ ते रहते ॥
They are seen among all, and yet they are distinct from all.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਾ ਓਇ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਰਤੇ ॥੩॥
Paarabreham Kaa Oue Dhhiaan Dhharathae ||3||
पारब्रहम का ओइ धिआनु धरते ॥३॥
They focus their meditation on the Supreme Lord God. ||3||
ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕਵਨ ਵਖਾਨਉ ॥
Santhan Kee Mehimaa Kavan Vakhaano ||
संतन की महिमा कवन वखानउ ॥
How can I describe the Glories of the Saints?
ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਮਿਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨਉ ॥
Agaadhh Bodhh Kishh Mith Nehee Jaano ||
अगाधि बोधि किछु मिति नही जानउ ॥
Their knowledge is unfathomable; their limits cannot be known.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ॥

पारब्रहम मोहि किरपा कीजै ॥

Wherever I look, there I see You dwelling.

रंग रसा तूं मनहि अधारु ॥
I am imbued with Your Love; You are the Support of my mind.

I have obtained Your secret from the Guru.
