In this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, no one is interested in good karma, or Dharmic faith.
ਕਲੀ ਕਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਚੰਡਾਲ ਕੈ ਘਰਿ ਹੋਈ ॥

कली का जनमु चंडाल कै घरि होई ॥
This Dark Age was born in the house of evil.

True is the Lord King, True is His Royal Command.

मनि साचै राते हरि वेपरवाहु ॥
Those whose minds are attuned to the True,
ਸਚੈ ਮਹਲਿ ਸਚਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਹੁ ॥੧॥

सचै महलि सचि नामि समाहु ॥१॥
Carefree Lord enter the True Mansion of His Presence, and merge in the True Name. ||1||

सुणि मन मेरे सबदु वीचारि ॥

Bharamae Aavai Bharamae Jaae ||
भरमे आवै भरमे जाइ ॥
In doubt he comes, and in doubt he goes.
ਇਹੁ ਜਗੁ ਜਨਮਿਆ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥
Eihu Jag Janamiaa Dhoojai Bhaae ||
इहु जगु जनमिआ दूजै भाइ ॥
This world is born out of the love of duality.
ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਨ ਚੇਤੈ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥
Manamukh N Chaethai Aavai Jaae ||2||
मनमुखि न चेतै आवै जाइ ॥२॥
The self-willed manmukh does not remember the Lord; he continues coming and going in reincarnation. ||2||
ਆਪਿ ਭੁਲਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਭੁਲਾਇਆ ॥
Aap Bhulaa K Prabh Aap Bhulaaeiaa ||
आपि भुला कि प्रभि आपि भुलाइआ ॥
Does he himself go astray, or does God lead him astray?
ਇਹੁ ਜੀਉ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
Eihu Jeeo Viddaanee Chaakaree Laaeiaa ||
इहु जीउ विडाणी चाकरी लाइआ ॥
This soul is enjoined to the service of someone else.
ਮਹਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਖਟੇ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
Mehaa Dhukh Khattae Birathhaa Janam Gavaaeiaa ||3||
महा दुखु खटे बिरथा जनमु गवाइआ ॥३॥
It earns only terrible pain, and this life is lost in vain. ||3||
ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥
Kirapaa Kar Sathiguroo Milaaeae ||
किरपा करि सतिगुरू मिलाए ॥
Granting His Grace, He leads us to meet the True Guru.
ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਚੇਤੇ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਏ ॥
Eaeko Naam Chaethae Vichahu Bharam Chukaaeae ||
एको नामु चेते विचहु भरमु चुकाए ॥
Remembering the One Name, doubt is cast out from within.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੇ ਨਾਉ ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਏ ॥੪॥੧੧॥੩੧॥

O Nanak, chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the nine treasures of the Name are obtained. ||4||11||31||

Jinaa Guramukh Dhhiaaeiaa Thin Pooshho Jaae ||
जिना गुरमुखि धिआइआ तिन पूछउ जाइ ॥
Go and ask the Gurmukhs, who meditate on the Lord.
ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਮਨੁ ਪਤੀਆਇ ॥
Gur Saevaa Thae Man Patheeaae ||
गुर सेवा ते मनु पतीआइ ॥
Serving the Guru, the mind is satisfied.
ਸੇ ਧਨਵੰਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
Sae Dhhanavanth Har Naam Kamaae ||
से धनवंत हरि नामु कमाइ ॥
Those who earn the Lord's Name are wealthy.
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥
Poorae Gur Thae Sojhee Paae ||1||
पूरे गुर ते सोझी पाइ ॥१॥
Through the Perfect Guru, understanding is obtained. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥

हरि हरि नामु जपहु मेरे भाई ॥
Chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, O my Siblings of Destiny.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਘਾਲ ਥਾਇ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Guramukh Saevaa Har Ghaal Thhaae Paaee ||1|| Rehaao ||
गुरमुखि सेवा हरि घाल थाइ पाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The Gurmukhs serve the Lord, and so they are accepted. ||1||Pause||
ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
Aap Pashhaanai Man Niramal Hoe ||
आपु पछाणै मनु निरमलु होइ ॥
Those who recognize the self - their minds become pure.
ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ ॥
Jeevan Mukath Har Paavai Soe ||
जीवन मुकति हरि पावै सोइ ॥
They become Jivan-mukta, liberated while yet alive, and they find the Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਮਤਿ ਊਤਮ ਹੋਇ ॥
Har Gun Gaavai Math Ootham Hoe ||
हरि गुण गावै मति ऊतम होइ ॥
Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, the intellect becomes pure and sublime,
ਸਹਜੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੨॥
Sehajae Sehaj Samaavai Soe ||2||
सहजे सहजि समावै सोइ ॥२॥
And they are easily and intuitively absorbed in the Lord. ||2||
ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਨ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥
Dhoojai Bhaae N Saeviaa Jaae ||
दूजै भाइ न सेविआ जाइ ॥
In the love of duality, no one can serve the Lord.
ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖੁ ਖਾਇ ॥
Houmai Maaeiaa Mehaa Bikh Khaae ||
हउमै माइआ महा बिखु खाइ ॥
In egotism and Maya, they are eating toxic poison.
ਪੁਤਿ ਕੁਟੰਬਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਮਾਇ ॥
Puth Kuttanb Grihi Mohiaa Maae ||
पुति कुट्मबि ग्रिहि मोहिआ माइ ॥
They are emotionally attached to their children, family and home.
ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਧਾ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥
Manamukh Andhhaa Aavai Jaae ||3||
मनमुखि अंधा आवै जाइ ॥३॥
The blind, self-willed manmukhs come and go in reincarnation. ||3||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਵੈ ਜਨੁ ਸੋਇ ॥
Har Har Naam Dhaevai Jan Soe ||
हरि हरि नामु देवै जनु सोइ ॥
Those, unto whom the Lord bestows His Name,
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਹੋਇ ॥
Anadhin Bhagath Gur Sabadhee Hoe ||
अनदिनु भगति गुर सबदी होइ ॥
Worship Him night and day, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਬੂਝੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
Guramath Viralaa Boojhai Koe ||
गुरमति विरला बूझै कोइ ॥
How rare are those who understand the Guru's Teachings!
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੩੨॥

पूरा जनु कार कमावै कोई ॥
Very few are those perfect ones who do this good deed.
ਅਖੁਟੁ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥
Akhutt Naam Dhhan Har Thott N Hoee ||
अखुटु नाम धनु हरि तोटि न होई ॥
The wealth of the Lord's Name is inexhaustible; it shall never be exhausted.
ਐਥੈ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਦਰਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥
Aithhai Sadhaa Sukh Dhar Sobhaa Hoee ||1||
ऐथै सदा सुखु दरि सोभा होई ॥१॥
In this world, it brings a constant peace, and at the Lord's Gate, it brings honor. ||1||
ਏ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਮੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
Eae Man Maerae Bharam N Keejai ||
ए मन मेरे भरमु न कीजै ॥
O my mind, have no doubt about this.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਜੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

गुरमुखि सेवा अम्रित रसु पीजै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Those Gurmukhs who serve, drink in the Ambrosial Nectar. ||1||Pause||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਸੇ ਮਹਾਪੁਰਖ ਸੰਸਾਰੇ ॥
Sathigur Saevehi Sae Mehaapurakh Sansaarae ||
सतिगुरु सेवहि से महापुरख संसारे ॥
Those who serve the True Guru are the greatest people of the world.
ਆਪਿ ਉਧਰੇ ਕੁਲ ਸਗਲ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ॥
Aap Oudhharae Kul Sagal Nisathaarae ||
आपि उधरे कुल सगल निसतारे ॥
They save themselves, and they redeem all their generations as well.
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਖਹਿ ਉਰ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
Har Kaa Naam Rakhehi Our Dhhaarae ||
हरि का नामु रखहि उर धारे ॥
They keep the Name of the Lord clasped tightly to their hearts.
ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਭਉਜਲ ਉਤਰਹਿ ਪਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
Naam Rathae Bhoujal Outharehi Paarae ||2||
नामि रते भउजल उतरहि पारे ॥२॥
Attuned to the Naam, they cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||2||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਸਦਾ ਮਨਿ ਦਾਸਾ ॥
Sathigur Saevehi Sadhaa Man Dhaasaa ||
सतिगुरु सेवहि सदा मनि दासा ॥
Serving the True Guru, the mind becomes humble forever.
ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਕਮਲੁ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ॥
Houmai Maar Kamal Paragaasaa ||
हउमै मारि कमलु परगासा ॥
Egotism is subdued, and the heart-lotus blossoms forth.
ਅਨਹਦੁ ਵਾਜੈ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸਾ ॥
Anehadh Vaajai Nij Ghar Vaasaa ||
अनहदु वाजै निज घरि वासा ॥
The Unstruck Melody vibrates, as they dwell within the home of the self.
ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਘਰ ਮਾਹਿ ਉਦਾਸਾ ॥੩॥
Naam Rathae Ghar Maahi Oudhaasaa ||3||
नामि रते घर माहि उदासा ॥३॥
Attuned to the Naam, they remain detached within their own home. ||3||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
Sathigur Saevehi Thin Kee Sachee Baanee ||
सतिगुरु सेवहि तिन की सची बाणी ॥
Serving the True Guru, their words are true.
ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਆਖਿ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥
Jug Jug Bhagathee Aakh Vakhaanee ||
जुगु जुगु भगती आखि वखाणी ॥
Throughout the ages, the devotees chant and repeat these words.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਪਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਰੰਗਪਾਣੀ ॥
Anadhin Japehi Har Saarangapaanee ||
अनदिनु जपहि हरि सारंगपाणी ॥
Night and day, they meditate on the Lord, the Sustainer of the Earth.
