जिसु सिमरत डूबत पाहन तरे ॥३॥
Remembering Him in meditation, sinking stones are made to float. ||3||

संत सभा कउ सदा जैकारु ॥
I salute and applaud the Society of the Saints.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥
Har Har Naam Jan Praan Adhhaar ||
हरि हरि नामु जन प्रान अधारु ॥
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is the Support of the breath of life of His servant.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
Kahu Naanak Maeree Sunee Aradhaas ||
कहु नानक मेरी सुणी अरदासि ॥
Says Nanak, the Lord has heard my prayer;

Sathigur Dharasan Agan Nivaaree ||
सतिगुर दरसनि अगनि निवारी ॥
It torments us through elephants, horses and beautiful clothes.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭੇਟਤ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰੀ ॥
Sathigur Bhaettath Houmai Maaree ||
सतिगुर भेटत हउमै मारी ॥
Meeting the True Guru, egotism is subdued.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਡੋਲੈ ॥
Sathigur Sang Naahee Man Ddolai ||
सतिगुर संगि नाही मनु डोलै ॥
In the Company of the True Guru, the mind does not waver.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੋਲੈ ॥੧॥
Anmrith Baanee Guramukh Bolai ||1||
अम्रित बाणी गुरमुखि बोलै ॥१॥
The Gurmukh speaks the Ambrosial Word of Gurbani. ||1||
ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਜਾ ਸਚ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਤੇ ॥
Sabh Jag Saachaa Jaa Sach Mehi Raathae ||
सभु जगु साचा जा सच महि राते ॥
He sees the True One pervading the whole world; he is imbued with the True One.
ਸੀਤਲ ਸਾਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Seethal Saath Gur Thae Prabh Jaathae ||1|| Rehaao ||
सीतल साति गुर ते प्रभ जाते ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I have become cool and tranquil, knowing God, through the Guru. ||1||Pause||
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਜਪੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥
Santh Prasaadh Japai Har Naao ||
संत प्रसादि जपै हरि नाउ ॥
It torments those who act, entangled in ego.
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਉ ॥
Santh Prasaadh Har Keerathan Gaao ||
संत प्रसादि हरि कीरतनु गाउ ॥
It torments us through household affairs, and it torments us in renunciation.
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸਗਲ ਦੁਖ ਮਿਟੇ ॥
Santh Prasaadh Sagal Dhukh Mittae ||
संत प्रसादि सगल दुख मिटे ॥
By the Grace of the Saints, all pains are erased.
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਬੰਧਨ ਤੇ ਛੁਟੇ ॥੨॥
Santh Prasaadh Bandhhan Thae Shhuttae ||2||
संत प्रसादि बंधन ते छुटे ॥२॥
By the Grace of the Saints, one is released from bondage. ||2||
ਸੰਤ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਮਿਟੇ ਮੋਹ ਭਰਮ ॥
Santh Kirapaa Thae Mittae Moh Bharam ||
संत क्रिपा ते मिटे मोह भरम ॥
By the kind Mercy of the Saints, emotional attachment and doubt are removed.
ਸਾਧ ਰੇਣ ਮਜਨ ਸਭਿ ਧਰਮ ॥
Saadhh Raen Majan Sabh Dhharam ||
साध रेण मजन सभि धरम ॥
Taking a bath in the dust of the feet of the Holy - this is true Dharmic faith.
ਸਾਧ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ॥
Saadhh Kirapaal Dhaeiaal Govindh ||
साध क्रिपाल दइआल गोविंदु ॥
By the kindness of the Holy, the Lord of the Universe becomes merciful.
ਸਾਧਾ ਮਹਿ ਇਹ ਹਮਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁ ॥੩॥
Saadhhaa Mehi Eih Hamaree Jindh ||3||
साधा महि इह हमरी जिंदु ॥३॥
The life of my soul is with the Holy. ||3||
ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਧਿਆਵਉ ॥
Kirapaa Nidhh Kirapaal Dhhiaavo ||
किरपा निधि किरपाल धिआवउ ॥
Meditating on the Merciful Lord, the Treasure of Mercy,
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਾ ਬੈਠਣੁ ਪਾਵਉ ॥
Saadhhasang Thaa Baithan Paavo ||
साधसंगि ता बैठणु पावउ ॥
I have obtained a seat in the Saadh Sangat.
ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਦਇਆ ॥
Mohi Niragun Ko Prabh Keenee Dhaeiaa ||
मोहि निरगुण कउ प्रभि कीनी दइआ ॥
I am worthless, but God has been kind to me.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਇਆ ॥੪॥੨੨॥੯੧॥
Saadhhasang Naanak Naam Laeiaa ||4||22||91||
साधसंगि नानक नामु लइआ ॥४॥२२॥९१॥

In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I meditate on the Lord God.
ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੰਤੁ ॥
Kaeval Naam Dheeou Gur Manth ||
केवल नामु दीओ गुरि मंतु ॥
The Guru has given me the Mantra of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਤਜਿ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਭਏ ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ॥
Thaj Abhimaan Bheae Niravair ||
तजि अभिमान भए निरवैर ॥
Shedding my ego, I have become free of hate.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਪੂਜਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਪੈਰ ॥੧॥
Aath Pehar Poojahu Gur Pair ||1||
आठ पहर पूजहु गुर पैर ॥१॥
They do not know how to guard their own home.
ਅਬ ਮਤਿ ਬਿਨਸੀ ਦੁਸਟ ਬਿਗਾਨੀ ॥
Ab Math Binasee Dhusatt Bigaanee ||
अब मति बिनसी दुसट बिगानी ॥
Now, my evil sense of alienation is eliminated,
ਜਬ ਤੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਕਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jab Thae Suniaa Har Jas Kaanee ||1|| Rehaao ||
जब ते सुणिआ हरि जसु कानी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Since I have heard the Praises of the Lord with my ears. ||1||Pause||
ਸਹਜ ਸੂਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥
Sehaj Sookh Aanandh Nidhhaan ||
सहज सूख आनंद निधान ॥
The Savior Lord is the treasure of intuitive peace, poise and bliss.
ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰ ਰਖਿ ਲੇਇ ਨਿਦਾਨ ॥
Raakhanehaar Rakh Laee Nidhaan ||
राखनहार रखि लेइ निदान ॥
He shall save me in the end.
ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਭੈ ਭਰਮ ॥
Dhookh Dharadh Binasae Bhai Bharam ||
दूख दरद बिनसे भै भरम ॥
My pains, sufferings, fears and doubts have been erased.
ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣ ਰਖੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਮ ॥੨॥
Aavan Jaan Rakhae Kar Karam ||2||
आवण जाण रखे करि करम ॥२॥
He has mercifully saved me from coming and going in reincarnation. ||2||
ਪੇਖੈ ਬੋਲੈ ਸੁਣੈ ਸਭੁ ਆਪਿ ॥
Paekhai Bolai Sunai Sabh Aap ||
पेखै बोलै सुणै सभु आपि ॥
He Himself beholds, speaks and hears all.
ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਮਨ ਜਾਪਿ ॥
Sadhaa Sang Thaa Ko Man Jaap ||
सदा संगि ता कउ मन जापि ॥
O my mind, meditate on the One who is always with you.
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਭਇਓ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
Santh Prasaadh Bhaeiou Paragaas ||
संत प्रसादि भइओ परगासु ॥
By the Grace of the Saints, the Light has dawned.
ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹੇ ਏਕੈ ਗੁਣਤਾਸੁ ॥੩॥
Poor Rehae Eaekai Gunathaas ||3||
पूरि रहे एकै गुणतासु ॥३॥
The One Lord, the Treasure of Excellence, is perfectly pervading everywhere. ||3||
ਕਹਤ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੁਣਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ॥
Kehath Pavithr Sunath Puneeth ||
कहत पवित्र सुणत पुनीत ॥
Pure are those who speak, and sanctified are those who hear and sing,
ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਨੀਤ ॥
Gun Govindh Gaavehi Nith Neeth ||
गुण गोविंद गावहि नित नीत ॥
Forever and ever, the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਹੋਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ॥
Kahu Naanak Jaa Ko Hohu Kirapaal ||
कहु नानक जा कउ होहु क्रिपाल ॥
Says Nanak, when the Lord bestows His Mercy,
ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਸਭ ਪੂਰਨ ਘਾਲ ॥੪॥੨੩॥੯੨॥

तिसु जन की सभ पूरन घाल ॥४॥२३॥९२॥
all one's efforts are fulfilled. ||4||23||92||

The whole world is under His Power.
ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਸਾਚੁ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥
Man Mehi Laagai Saach Dhhiaan ||
मन महि लागै साचु धिआनु ॥
With the mind centered in meditation on the True Lord,
ਮਿਟਹਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੋਇ ਰਹੀਐ ॥
Mittehi Kalaes Sukhee Hoe Reheeai ||
मिटहि कलेस सुखी होइ रहीऐ ॥
Anguish is eradicated, and one comes to dwell in peace.
ਐਸਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਕਹੀਐ ॥੧॥
Aisaa Dhaathaa Sathigur Keheeai ||1||
ऐसा दाता सतिगुरु कहीऐ ॥१॥
Such is the True Guru, the Great Giver. ||1||
ਸੋ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਜਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵੈ ॥
So Sukhadhaathaa J Naam Japaavai ||
सो सुखदाता जि नामु जपावै ॥
He alone is the Giver of peace, who inspires us to chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Kar Kirapaa This Sang Milaavai ||1|| Rehaao ||
करि किरपा तिसु संगि मिलावै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
By His Grace, He leads us to merge with Him. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਸੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥
Jis Hoe Dhaeiaal This Aap Milaavai ||
जिसु होइ दइआलु तिसु आपि मिलावै ॥
He unites with Himself those unto whom He has shown His Mercy.
ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
Sarab Nidhhaan Guroo Thae Paavai ||
सरब निधान गुरू ते पावै ॥
All treasures are received from the Guru.
ਆਪੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਮਿਟੈ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ॥
Aap Thiaag Mittai Aavan Jaanaa ||
आपु तिआगि मिटै आवण जाणा ॥
Renouncing selfishness and conceit, coming and going come to an end.
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਛਾਣਾ ॥੨॥

साध कै संगि पारब्रहमु पछाणा ॥२॥
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the Supreme Lord God is recognized. ||2||
ਜਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
