ਕਾਮਿ ਕਰੋਧਿ ਨ ਮੋਹੀਐ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਲੋਭੁ ਸੁਆਨੁ ॥
Kaam Karodhh N Moheeai Binasai Lobh Suaan ||
कामि करोधि न मोहीऐ बिनसै लोभु सुआनु ॥
Sexual desire and anger shall not seduce you, and the dog of greed shall depart.
ਸਚੈ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਚਲਦਿਆ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਜਹਾਨੁ ॥
Sachai Maarag Chaladhiaa Ousathath Karae Jehaan ||
सचै मारगि चलदिआ उसतति करे जहानु ॥
Those who walk on the Path of Truth shall be praised throughout the world.
ਅਠਸਠਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਸਗਲ ਪੁੰਨ ਜੀਅ ਦਇਆ ਪਰਵਾਨੁ ॥
Athasath Theerathh Sagal Punn Jeea Dhaeiaa Paravaan ||
अठसठि तीरथ सगल पुंन जीअ दइआ परवानु ॥
Be kind to all beings-this is more meritorious than bathing at the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage and the giving of charity.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਦੇਵੈ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਸੋਈ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸੁਜਾਨੁ ॥
Jis No Dhaevai Dhaeiaa Kar Soee Purakh Sujaan ||
जिस नो देवै दइआ करि सोई पुरखु सुजानु ॥
That person, upon whom the Lord bestows His Mercy, is a wise person.
ਜਿਨਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੁ ॥
Jinaa Miliaa Prabh Aapanaa Naanak Thin Kurabaan ||
जिना मिलिआ प्रभु आपणा नानक तिन कुरबानु ॥
Nanak is a sacrifice to those who have merged with God.
ਮਾਘਿ ਸੁਚੇ ਸੇ ਕਾਂਢੀਅਹਿ ਜਿਨ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨੁ ॥੧੨॥
Maagh Suchae Sae Kaandteeahi Jin Pooraa Gur Miharavaan ||12||
माघि सुचे से कांढीअहि जिन पूरा गुरु मिहरवानु ॥१२॥
In Maagh, they alone are known as true, unto whom the Perfect Guru is Merciful. ||12||
ਫਲਗੁਣਿ ਅਨੰਦ ਉਪਾਰਜਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਸਜਣ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਆਇ ॥
Falagun Anandh Oupaarajanaa Har Sajan Pragattae Aae ||
फलगुणि अनंद उपारजना हरि सजण प्रगटे आइ ॥
In the month of Phalgun, bliss comes to those, unto whom the Lord, the Friend, has been revealed.
ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਈ ਰਾਮ ਕੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੀਆ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
Santh Sehaaee Raam Kae Kar Kirapaa Dheeaa Milaae ||
संत सहाई राम के करि किरपा दीआ मिलाइ ॥
The Saints, the Lord's helpers, in their mercy, have united me with Him.
ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਹੁਣਿ ਦੁਖਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥
Saej Suhaavee Sarab Sukh Hun Dhukhaa Naahee Jaae ||
सेज सुहावी सरब सुख हुणि दुखा नाही जाइ ॥
My bed is beautiful, and I have all comforts. I feel no sadness at all.
ਇਛ ਪੁਨੀ ਵਡਭਾਗਣੀ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥
Eishh Punee Vaddabhaaganee Var Paaeiaa Har Raae ||
इछ पुनी वडभागणी वरु पाइआ हरि राइ ॥
My desires have been fulfilled-by great good fortune, I have obtained the Sovereign Lord as my Husband.
ਮਿਲਿ ਸਹੀਆ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਵਹੀ ਗੀਤ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਅਲਾਇ ॥
Mil Seheeaa Mangal Gaavehee Geeth Govindh Alaae ||
मिलि सहीआ मंगलु गावही गीत गोविंद अलाइ ॥

ਹਰਿ ਜੇਹਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦਿਸਈ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਜਾ ਲਵੈ ਨ ਲਾਇ ॥
Har Jaehaa Avar N Dhisee Koee Dhoojaa Lavai N Laae ||
हरि जेहा अवरु न दिसई कोई दूजा लवै न लाइ ॥
There is no other like the Lord-there is no equal to Him.
ਹਲਤੁ ਪਲਤੁ ਸਵਾਰਿਓਨੁ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਦਿਤੀਅਨੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
Halath Palath Savaarioun Nihachal Dhitheean Jaae ||
हलतु पलतु सवारिओनु निहचल दितीअनु जाइ ॥
He embellishes this world and the world hereafter, and He gives us our permanent home there.
ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਾਗਰ ਤੇ ਰਖਿਅਨੁ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਜਨਮੈ ਧਾਇ ॥
Sansaar Saagar Thae Rakhian Bahurr N Janamai Dhhaae ||
संसार सागर ते रखिअनु बहुड़ि न जनमै धाइ ॥
He rescues us from the world-ocean; never again do we have to run the cycle of reincarnation.
ਜਿਹਵਾ ਏਕ ਅਨੇਕ ਗੁਣ ਤਰੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਚਰਣੀ ਪਾਇ ॥
Jihavaa Eaek Anaek Gun Tharae Naanak Charanee Paae ||
जिहवा एक अनेक गुण तरे नानक चरणी पाइ ॥
I have only one tongue, but Your Glorious Virtues are beyond counting. Nanak is saved, falling at Your Feet.
ਫਲਗੁਣਿ ਨਿਤ ਸਲਾਹੀਐ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਤਿਲੁ ਨ ਤਮਾਇ ॥੧੩॥
Falagun Nith Salaaheeai Jis No Thil N Thamaae ||13||
फलगुणि नित सलाहीऐ जिस नो तिलु न तमाइ ॥१३॥
In Phalgun, praise Him continually; He has not even an iota of greed. ||13||
ਜਿਨਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਕਾਜ ਸਰੇ ॥
Jin Jin Naam Dhhiaaeiaa Thin Kae Kaaj Sarae ||
जिनि जिनि नामु धिआइआ तिन के काज सरे ॥
Those who meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord-their affairs are all resolved.
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਦਰਗਹ ਸਚਿ ਖਰੇ ॥
Har Gur Pooraa Aaraadhhiaa Dharageh Sach Kharae ||
हरि गुरु पूरा आराधिआ दरगह सचि खरे ॥
Those who meditate on the Perfect Guru, the Lord-Incarnate-they are judged true in the Court of the Lord.
ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਚਰਣ ਹਰਿ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਤਰੇ ॥
Sarab Sukhaa Nidhh Charan Har Bhoujal Bikham Tharae ||
सरब सुखा निधि चरण हरि भउजलु बिखमु तरे ॥
The Lord's Feet are the Treasure of all peace and comfort for them; they cross over the terrifying and treacherous world-ocean.
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਪਾਈਆ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਨਾਹਿ ਜਰੇ ॥
Praem Bhagath Thin Paaeeaa Bikhiaa Naahi Jarae ||
प्रेम भगति तिन पाईआ बिखिआ नाहि जरे ॥
They obtain love and devotion, and they do not burn in corruption.
ਕੂੜ ਗਏ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਨਸੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਚਿ ਭਰੇ ॥
Koorr Geae Dhubidhhaa Nasee Pooran Sach Bharae ||
कूड़ गए दुबिधा नसी पूरन सचि भरे ॥
Falsehood has vanished, duality has been erased, and they are totally overflowing with Truth.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੇਵਦੇ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਧਰੇ ॥
Paarabreham Prabh Saevadhae Man Andhar Eaek Dhharae ||
पारब्रहमु प्रभु सेवदे मन अंदरि एकु धरे ॥
They serve the Supreme Lord God, and enshrine the One Lord within their minds.
ਮਾਹ ਦਿਵਸ ਮੂਰਤ ਭਲੇ ਜਿਸ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ॥
Maah Dhivas Moorath Bhalae Jis Ko Nadhar Karae ||
माह दिवस मूरत भले जिस कउ नदरि करे ॥
The months, the days, and the moments are auspicious, for those upon whom the Lord casts His Glance of Grace.

I serve my True Guru, and meditate on Him all day and night.
ਆਪੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਸਰਣੀ ਪਵਾਂ ਮੁਖਿ ਬੋਲੀ ਮਿਠੜੇ ਵੈਣ ॥
Aap Thiaag Saranee Pavaan Mukh Bolee Mitharrae Vain ||
आपु तिआगि सरणी पवां मुखि बोली मिठड़े वैण ॥
Renouncing selfishness and conceit, I seek His Sanctuary, and speak sweet words to Him.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਵਿਛੁੜਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸਜਣੁ ਸੈਣ ॥
Janam Janam Kaa Vishhurriaa Har Maelahu Sajan Sain ||
जनम जनम का विछुड़िआ हरि मेलहु सजणु सैण ॥
Through countless lifetimes and incarnations, I was separated from Him. O Lord, you are my Friend and Companion-please unite me with Yourself.
ਜੋ ਜੀਅ ਹਰਿ ਤੇ ਵਿਛੁੜੇ ਸੇ ਸੁਖਿ ਨ ਵਸਨਿ ਭੈਣ ॥
Jo Jeea Har Thae Vishhurrae Sae Sukh N Vasan Bhain ||
जो जीअ हरि ते विछुड़े से सुखि न वसनि भैण ॥
Those who are separated from the Lord do not dwell in peace, O sister.
ਹਰਿ ਪਿਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਚੈਨੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਖੋਜਿ ਡਿਠੇ ਸਭਿ ਗੈਣ ॥
Har Pir Bin Chain N Paaeeai Khoj Ddithae Sabh Gain ||
हरि पिर बिनु चैनु न पाईऐ खोजि डिठे सभि गैण ॥
Without their Husband Lord, they find no comfort. I have searched and seen all realms.
ਆਪ ਕਮਾਣੈ ਵਿਛੁੜੀ ਦੋਸੁ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਦੇਣ ॥
Aap Kamaanai Vishhurree Dhos N Kaahoo Dhaen ||
आप कमाणै विछुड़ी दोसु न काहू देण ॥
My own evil actions have kept me separate from Him; why should I accuse anyone else?
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਹੋਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਰਣ ਕਰੇਣ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Prabh Raakh Laehu Hor Naahee Karan Karaen ||
करि किरपा प्रभ राखि लेहु होरु नाही करण करेण ॥
Bestow Your Mercy, God, and save me! No one else can bestow Your Mercy.
ਹਰਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਵਿਣੁ ਖਾਕੂ ਰੂਲਣਾ ਕਹੀਐ ਕਿਥੈ ਵੈਣ ॥
Har Thudhh Vin Khaakoo Roolanaa Keheeai Kithhai Vain ||
हरि तुधु विणु खाकू रूलणा कहीऐ किथै वैण ॥
Without You, Lord, we roll around in the dust. Unto whom should we utter our cries of distress?
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਰਜਨੁ ਦੇਖਾ ਨੈਣ ॥੧॥
Naanak Kee Baenantheeaa Har Surajan Dhaekhaa Nain ||1||
नानक की बेनंतीआ हरि सुरजनु देखा नैण ॥१॥
This is Nanak's prayer: "May my eyes behold the Lord, the Angelic Being."||1||
ਜੀਅ ਕੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਸੋ ਸੁਣੇ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਿਥ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥
Jeea Kee Birathhaa So Sunae Har Sanmrithh Purakh Apaar ||
जीअ की बिरथा सो सुणे हरि सम्रिथ पुरखु अपारु ॥
The Lord hears the anguish of the soul; He is the All-powerful and Infinite Primal Being.
ਮਰਣਿ ਜੀਵਣਿ ਆਰਾਧਣਾ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
Maran Jeevan Aaraadhhanaa Sabhanaa Kaa Aadhhaar ||
मरणि जीवणि आराधणा सभना का आधारु ॥
