Gaavath Sunath Dhooo Bheae Mukathae Jinaa Guramukh Khin Har Peek ||1||
गावत सुनत दोऊ भए मुकते जिना गुरमुखि खिनु हरि पीक ॥१॥
Both the singer and the listener are liberated, when, as Gurmukh, they drink in the Lord's Name, even for an instant. ||1||
ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸੁ ਟੀਕ ॥
Maerai Man Har Har Raam Naam Ras Tteek ||
मेरै मनि हरि हरि राम नामु रसु टीक ॥
The Sublime Essence of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is enshrined within my mind.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੀਤਲ ਜਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪੀਆ ਰਸੁ ਝੀਕ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Guramukh Naam Seethal Jal Paaeiaa Har Har Naam Peeaa Ras Jheek ||1|| Rehaao ||
गुरमुखि नामु सीतल जलु पाइआ हरि हरि नामु पीआ रसु झीक ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
As Gurmukh, I have obtained the cooling, soothing Water of the Naam. I eagerly drink in the sublime essence of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗਾਨੀ ਤਿਨਾ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਊਜਲ ਟੀਕ ॥
Jin Har Hiradhai Preeth Lagaanee Thinaa Masathak Oojal Tteek ||
जिन हरि हिरदै प्रीति लगानी तिना मसतकि ऊजल टीक ॥
Those whose hearts are imbued with the Love of the Lord have the mark of radiant purity upon their foreheads.
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਸੋਭਾ ਸਭ ਜਗ ਊਪਰਿ ਜਿਉ ਵਿਚਿ ਉਡਵਾ ਸਸਿ ਕੀਕ ॥੨॥
Har Jan Sobhaa Sabh Jag Oopar Jio Vich Ouddavaa Sas Keek ||2||
हरि जन सोभा सभ जग ऊपरि जिउ विचि उडवा ससि कीक ॥२॥
The Glory of the Lord's humble servant is manifest throughout the world, like the moon among the stars. ||2||
ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਵਸਿਓ ਤਿਨ ਸਭਿ ਕਾਰਜ ਫੀਕ ॥
Jin Har Hiradhai Naam N Vasiou Thin Sabh Kaaraj Feek ||
जिन हरि हिरदै नामु न वसिओ तिन सभि कारज फीक ॥
Those whose hearts are not filled with the Lord's Name - all their affairs are worthless and insipid.
ਜੈਸੇ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਕਰੈ ਦੇਹ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਕਟੇ ਨਕ ਕੀਕ ॥੩॥
Jaisae Seegaar Karai Dhaeh Maanukh Naam Binaa Nakattae Nak Keek ||3||
जैसे सीगारु करै देह मानुख नाम बिना नकटे नक कीक ॥३॥
They may adorn and decorate their bodies, but without the Naam, they look like their noses have been cut off. ||3||

घटि घटि रमईआ रमत राम राइ सभ वरतै सभ महि ईक ॥
The Sovereign Lord permeates each and every heart; the One Lord is all-pervading everywhere.

अगम दइआल क्रिपा प्रभि धारी मुखि हरि हरि नामु हम कहे ॥
God, the Inaccessible and Merciful, has showered me with His Mercy; I chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, with my mouth.

The Lord abides in the body-village; through the Wisdom of the Guru's Teachings, the Lord, Har, Har, is revealed.

Sareer Sarovar Naam Har Pragattiou Ghar Mandhar Har Prabh Lehae ||2||
सरीरि सरोवरि नामु हरि प्रगटिओ घरि मंदरि हरि प्रभु लहे ॥२॥
In the lake of the body, the Lord's Name has been revealed. Within my own home and mansion, I have obtained the Lord God. ||2||
ਜੋ ਨਰ ਭਰਮਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਉਦਿਆਨੇ ਤੇ ਸਾਕਤ ਮੂੜ ਮੁਹੇ ॥
Jo Nar Bharam Bharam Oudhiaanae Thae Saakath Moorr Muhae ||
जो नर भरमि भरमि उदिआने ते साकत मूड़ मुहे ॥
Those beings who wander in the wilderness of doubt - those faithless cynics are foolish, and are plundered.
ਜਿਉ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਨਾਭਿ ਬਸੈ ਬਾਸੁ ਬਸਨਾ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿਓ ਝਾਰ ਗਹੇ ॥੩॥
Jio Mrig Naabh Basai Baas Basanaa Bhram Bhramiou Jhaar Gehae ||3||
जिउ म्रिग नाभि बसै बासु बसना भ्रमि भ्रमिओ झार गहे ॥३॥
They are like the deer: the scent of musk comes from its own navel, but it wanders and roams around, searching for it in the bushes. ||3||
ਤੁਮ ਵਡ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਤਿ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਲਹੇ ॥
Thum Vadd Agam Agaadhh Bodhh Prabh Math Dhaevahu Har Prabh Lehae ||
तुम वड अगम अगाधि बोधि प्रभ मति देवहु हरि प्रभ लहे ॥
You are Great and Unfathomable; Your Wisdom, God, is Profound and Incomprehensible. Please bless me with that wisdom, by which I might attain You, O Lord God.

Halath Palath Jan Bheae Suhaelae Mukh Oojal Guramukh Tharafaa ||2||
हलति पलति जन भए सुहेले मुख ऊजल गुरमुखि तरफा ॥२॥
Here and hereafter, the Lord's humble servants are embellished and exalted; their faces are radiant; as Gurmukh, they are carried across. ||2||

अनभउ हरि हरि हरि लिव लागी हरि उर धारिओ गुरि निमखफा ॥
I am lovingly attuned to the Fearless Lord, Har, Har, Har; through the Guru, I have enshrined the Lord within my heart in an instant.
ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਕੇ ਦੋਖ ਸਭ ਜਨ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਕੀਏ ਇਕ ਪਲਫਾ ॥੩॥
Kott Kott Kae Dhokh Sabh Jan Kae Har Dhoor Keeeae Eik Palafaa ||3||
कोटि कोटि के दोख सभ जन के हरि दूरि कीए इक पलफा ॥३॥
Millions upon millions of the faults and mistakes of the Lord's humble servant are all taken away in an instant. ||3||
ਤੁਮਰੇ ਜਨ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਜਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਾਨਿਓ ਜਨ ਤੇ ਮੁਖਫਾ ॥
Thumarae Jan Thum Hee Thae Jaanae Prabh Jaaniou Jan Thae Mukhafaa ||
तुमरे जन तुम ही ते जाने प्रभ जानिओ जन ते मुखफा ॥
Your humble servants are known only through You, God; knowing You, they becomes supreme.
