हाथ पाउ करि कामु सभु चीतु निरंजन नालि ॥२१३॥
With your hands and feet, do all your work, but let your consciousness remain with the Immaculate Lord. ||213||

ਕਬੀਰਾ ਹਮਰਾ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਹਮ ਕਿਸ ਹੂ ਕੇ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
Kabeeraa Hamaraa Ko Nehee Ham Kis Hoo Kae Naahi ||
कबीरा हमरा को नही हम किस हू के नाहि ॥
Kabeer, no one belongs to me, and I belong to no one else.
ਜਿਨਿ ਇਹੁ ਰਚਨੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ਤਿਸ ਹੀ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਹਿ ॥੨੧੪॥
Jin Eihu Rachan Rachaaeiaa This Hee Maahi Samaahi ||214||
जिनि इहु रचनु रचाइआ तिस ही माहि समाहि ॥२१४॥
The One who created the creation - into Him I shall be absorbed. ||214||
ਕਬੀਰ ਕੀਚੜਿ ਆਟਾ ਗਿਰਿ ਪਰਿਆ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਆਇਓ ਹਾਥ ॥

कबीर कीचड़ि आटा गिरि परिआ किछू न आइओ हाथ ॥
Kabeer, the flour has fallen into the mud; nothing has come into my hands.
ਪੀਸਤ ਪੀਸਤ ਚਾਬਿਆ ਸੋਈ ਨਿਬਹਿਆ ਸਾਥ ॥੨੧੫॥
Peesath Peesath Chaabiaa Soee Nibehiaa Saathh ||215||
पीसत पीसत चाबिआ सोई निबहिआ साथ ॥२१५॥
That which was eaten while it was being ground - that alone is of any use. ||215||
ਕਬੀਰ ਮਨੁ ਜਾਨੈ ਸਭ ਬਾਤ ਜਾਨਤ ਹੀ ਅਉਗਨੁ ਕਰੈ ॥

कबीर मनु जानै सभ बात जानत ही अउगनु करै ॥
Kabeer, the mortal knows everything, and knowing, he still makes mistakes.
ਕਾਹੇ ਕੀ ਕੁਸਲਾਤ ਹਾਥਿ ਦੀਪੁ ਕੂਏ ਪਰੈ ॥੨੧੬॥
Kaahae Kee Kusalaath Haathh Dheep Kooeae Parai ||216||
काहे की कुसलात हाथि दीपु कूए परै ॥२१६॥
What good is a lamp in one's hand, if he falls into the well? ||216||

कबीर लागी प्रीति सुजान सिउ बरजै लोगु अजानु ॥
Kabeer, I am in love with the All-knowing Lord; the ignorant ones try to hold me back.
ਤਾ ਸਿਉ ਟੂਟੀ ਕਿਉ ਬਨੈ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਜੀਅ ਪਰਾਨ ॥੨੧੭॥
Thaa Sio Ttoottee Kio Banai Jaa Kae Jeea Paraan ||217||
ता सिउ टूटी किउ बनै जा के जीअ परान ॥२१७॥
How could I ever break with the One, who owns our soul and breath of life. ||217||
ਕਬੀਰ ਕੋਠੇ ਮੰਡਪ ਹੇਤੁ ਕਰਿ ਕਾਹੇ ਮਰਹੁ ਸਵਾਰਿ ॥
Kabeer Kothae Manddap Haeth Kar Kaahae Marahu Savaar ||
कबीर कोठे मंडप हेतु करि काहे मरहु सवारि ॥
Kabeer, why kill yourself for your love of decorations of your home and mansion?
ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਾਢੇ ਤੀਨਿ ਹਥ ਘਨੀ ਤ ਪਉਨੇ ਚਾਰਿ ॥੨੧੮॥
Kaaraj Saadtae Theen Hathh Ghanee Th Pounae Chaar ||218||
कारजु साढे तीनि हथ घनी त पउने चारि ॥२१८॥
In the end, only six feet, or a little more, shall be your lot. ||218||
ਕਬੀਰ ਜੋ ਮੈ ਚਿਤਵਉ ਨਾ ਕਰੈ ਕਿਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿਤਵੇ ਹੋਇ ॥
Kabeer Jo Mai Chithavo Naa Karai Kiaa Maerae Chithavae Hoe ||
कबीर जो मै चितवउ ना करै किआ मेरे चितवे होइ ॥
Kabeer, whatever I wish for does not happen. What can I accomplish by merely thinking?
ਅਪਨਾ ਚਿਤਵਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਕਰੈ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥੨੧੯॥

अपना चितविआ हरि करै जो मेरे चिति न होइ ॥२१९॥
The Lord does whatever He wishes; it is not up to me at all. ||219||

ਚਿੰਤਾ ਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਇਸੀ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਭਿ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ॥
Chinthaa Bh Aap Karaaeisee Achinth Bh Aapae Dhaee ||
चिंता भि आपि कराइसी अचिंतु भि आपे देइ ॥
God Himself makes the mortals anxious, and He Himself takes the anxiety away.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਜਿ ਸਭਨਾ ਸਾਰ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੨੨੦॥
Naanak So Saalaaheeai J Sabhanaa Saar Karaee ||220||
नानक सो सालाहीऐ जि सभना सार करेइ ॥२२०॥
O Nanak, praise the One, who takes care of all. ||220||

कबीर रामु न चेतिओ फिरिआ लालच माहि ॥
Kabeer, the mortal does not remember the Lord; he wanders around, engrossed in greed.
ਪਾਪ ਕਰੰਤਾ ਮਰਿ ਗਇਆ ਅਉਧ ਪੁਨੀ ਖਿਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥੨੨੧॥
Paap Karanthaa Mar Gaeiaa Aoudhh Punee Khin Maahi ||221||
पाप करंता मरि गइआ अउध पुनी खिन माहि ॥२२१॥
Committing sins, he dies, and his life ends in an instant. ||221||
ਕਬੀਰ ਕਾਇਆ ਕਾਚੀ ਕਾਰਵੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਕਾਚੀ ਧਾਤੁ ॥
Kabeer Kaaeiaa Kaachee Kaaravee Kaeval Kaachee Dhhaath ||
कबीर काइआ काची कारवी केवल काची धातु ॥
Kabeer, the body is like a clay vessel or a brittle metal pot.
ਸਾਬਤੁ ਰਖਹਿ ਤ ਰਾਮ ਭਜੁ ਨਾਹਿ ਤ ਬਿਨਠੀ ਬਾਤ ॥੨੨੨॥
Saabath Rakhehi Th Raam Bhaj Naahi Th Binathee Baath ||222||
साबतु रखहि त राम भजु नाहि त बिनठी बात ॥२२२॥
If you wish to keep it safe and sound, then vibrate and meditate on the Lord; otherwise, the thing shall break. ||222||
ਕਬੀਰ ਕੇਸੋ ਕੇਸੋ ਕੂਕੀਐ ਨ ਸੋਈਐ ਅਸਾਰ ॥
Kabeer Kaeso Kaeso Kookeeai N Soeeai Asaar ||
कबीर केसो केसो कूकीऐ न सोईऐ असार ॥
Kabeer, chant the Name of the Beautifully-haired Lord; do not sleep unaware.
ਰਾਤਿ ਦਿਵਸ ਕੇ ਕੂਕਨੇ ਕਬਹੂ ਕੇ ਸੁਨੈ ਪੁਕਾਰ ॥੨੨੩॥
Raath Dhivas Kae Kookanae Kabehoo Kae Sunai Pukaar ||223||
राति दिवस के कूकने कबहू के सुनै पुकार ॥२२३॥
Chanting His Name night and day, the Lord will eventually hear your call. ||223||
ਕਬੀਰ ਕਾਇਆ ਕਜਲੀ ਬਨੁ ਭਇਆ ਮਨੁ ਕੁੰਚਰੁ ਮਯ ਮੰਤੁ ॥
Kabeer Kaaeiaa Kajalee Ban Bhaeiaa Man Kunchar May Manth ||
कबीर काइआ कजली बनु भइआ मनु कुंचरु मय मंतु ॥
Kabeer, the body is a banana forest, and the mind is an intoxicated elephant.
ਅੰਕਸੁ ਗ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਨੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਹੈ ਖੇਵਟੁ ਬਿਰਲਾ ਸੰਤੁ ॥੨੨੪॥

अंकसु ग्यानु रतनु है खेवटु बिरला संतु ॥२२४॥
The jewel of spiritual wisdom is the prod, and the rare Saint is the rider. ||224||

कबीर राम रतनु मुखु कोथरी पारख आगै खोलि ॥
Kabeer, the Lord's Name is the jewel, and the mouth is the purse; open this purse to the Appraiser.
ਕੋਈ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੈਗੋ ਗਾਹਕੀ ਲੇਗੋ ਮਹਗੇ ਮੋਲਿ ॥੨੨੫॥
Koee Aae Milaigo Gaahakee Laego Mehagae Mol ||225||
कोई आइ मिलैगो गाहकी लेगो महगे मोलि ॥२२५॥
If a buyer can be found, it will go for a high price. ||225||
ਕਬੀਰ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਾਨਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਲਿਓ ਕਟਕੁ ਕੁਟੰਬੁ ॥
Kabeer Raam Naam Jaaniou Nehee Paaliou Kattak Kuttanb ||
कबीर राम नामु जानिओ नही पालिओ कटकु कुट्मबु ॥
Kabeer, the mortal does not know the Lord's Name, but he has raised a very large family.
ਧੰਧੇ ਹੀ ਮਹਿ ਮਰਿ ਗਇਓ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਭਈ ਨ ਬੰਬ ॥੨੨੬॥
Dhhandhhae Hee Mehi Mar Gaeiou Baahar Bhee N Banb ||226||
धंधे ही महि मरि गइओ बाहरि भई न ब्मब ॥२२६॥
He dies in the midst of his worldly affairs, and then he is not heard in the external world. ||226||
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖੀ ਕੇਰੇ ਮਾਟੁਕੇ ਪਲੁ ਪਲੁ ਗਈ ਬਿਹਾਇ ॥
Kabeer Aakhee Kaerae Maattukae Pal Pal Gee Bihaae ||
कबीर आखी केरे माटुके पलु पलु गई बिहाइ ॥
Kabeer, in the blink of an eye, moment by moment, life is passing by.
ਮਨੁ ਜੰਜਾਲੁ ਨ ਛੋਡਈ ਜਮ ਦੀਆ ਦਮਾਮਾ ਆਇ ॥੨੨੭॥
Man Janjaal N Shhoddee Jam Dheeaa Dhamaamaa Aae ||227||
मनु जंजालु न छोडई जम दीआ दमामा आइ ॥२२७॥
The mortal does not give up his worldly entanglements; the Messenger of Death walks in and beats the drum. ||227||
ਕਬੀਰ ਤਰਵਰ ਰੂਪੀ ਰਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਫਲ ਰੂਪੀ ਬੈਰਾਗੁ ॥
Kabeer Tharavar Roopee Raam Hai Fal Roopee Bairaag ||
कबीर तरवर रूपी रामु है फल रूपी बैरागु ॥
Kabeer, the Lord is the tree, and disillusionment with the world is the fruit.
ਛਾਇਆ ਰੂਪੀ ਸਾਧੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਤਜਿਆ ਬਾਦੁ ਬਿਬਾਦੁ ॥੨੨੮॥
Shhaaeiaa Roopee Saadhh Hai Jin Thajiaa Baadh Bibaadh ||228||
छाइआ रूपी साधु है जिनि तजिआ बादु बिबादु ॥२२८॥
The Holy man, who has abandoned useless arguments, is the shade of the tree. ||228||
ਕਬੀਰ ਐਸਾ ਬੀਜੁ ਬੋਇ ਬਾਰਹ ਮਾਸ ਫਲੰਤ ॥
Kabeer Aisaa Beej Boe Baareh Maas Falanth ||
कबीर ऐसा बीजु बोइ बारह मास फलंत ॥
Kabeer, plant the seeds of such a plant, which shall bear fruit throughout the twelve months,
ਸੀਤਲ ਛਾਇਆ ਗਹਿਰ ਫਲ ਪੰਖੀ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੰਤ ॥੨੨੯॥
Seethal Shhaaeiaa Gehir Fal Pankhee Kael Karanth ||229||
सीतल छाइआ गहिर फल पंखी केल करंत ॥२२९॥
With cooling shade and abundant fruit, upon which birds joyously play. ||229||
ਕਬੀਰ ਦਾਤਾ ਤਰਵਰੁ ਦਯਾ ਫਲੁ ਉਪਕਾਰੀ ਜੀਵੰਤ ॥
Kabeer Dhaathaa Tharavar Dhayaa Fal Oupakaaree Jeevanth ||
कबीर दाता तरवरु दया फलु उपकारी जीवंत ॥
Kabeer, the Great Giver is the tree, which blesses all with the fruit of compassion.
ਪੰਖੀ ਚਲੇ ਦਿਸਾਵਰੀ ਬਿਰਖਾ ਸੁਫਲ ਫਲੰਤ ॥੨੩੦॥
Pankhee Chalae Dhisaavaree Birakhaa Sufal Falanth ||230||
पंखी चले दिसावरी बिरखा सुफल फलंत ॥२३०॥
When the birds migrate to other lands, O Tree, you bear the fruits. ||230||
ਕਬੀਰ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗੁ ਪਰਾਪਤੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇ ਲਿਲਾਟ ॥
Kabeer Saadhhoo Sang Paraapathee Likhiaa Hoe Lilaatt ||
कबीर साधू संगु परापती लिखिआ होइ लिलाट ॥
Kabeer, the mortal finds the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, if he has such destiny written upon his forehead.
