Gur Kaa Sabadh Sadhaa Sadh Attalaa ||
गुर का सबदु सदा सद अटला ॥
The Word of the Guru's Shabad is unchanging, forever and ever.
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ॥
Gur Kee Baanee Jis Man Vasai ||
गुर की बाणी जिसु मनि वसै ॥
All pains and afflictions run away from those,
ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਨਸੈ ॥੧॥
Dhookh Dharadh Sabh Thaa Kaa Nasai ||1||
दूखु दरदु सभु ता का नसै ॥१॥
Whose minds are filled with the Word of the Guru's Bani. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
Har Rang Raathaa Man Raam Gun Gaavai ||
हरि रंगि राता मनु राम गुन गावै ॥
Imbued with the Lord's Love, they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਮੁਕਤ ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰੀ ਨਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Mukathuo Saadhhoo Dhhooree Naavai ||1|| Rehaao ||
मुकतो साधू धूरी नावै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
They are liberated, bathing in the dust of the feet of the Holy. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਉਤਰੇ ਪਾਰਿ ॥
Gur Parasaadhee Outharae Paar ||
गुर परसादी उतरे पारि ॥
By Guru's Grace, they are carried across to the other shore;
ਭਉ ਭਰਮੁ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਬਿਕਾਰ ॥
Bho Bharam Binasae Bikaar ||
भउ भरमु बिनसे बिकार ॥
They are rid of fear, doubt and corruption.
ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਸੇ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨਾ ॥
Man Than Anthar Basae Gur Charanaa ||
मन तन अंतरि बसे गुर चरना ॥
The Guru's Feet abide deep within their minds and bodies.
ਨਿਰਭੈ ਸਾਧ ਪਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਨਾ ॥੨॥
Nirabhai Saadhh Parae Har Saranaa ||2||
निरभै साध परे हरि सरना ॥२॥
The Holy are fearless; they take to the Sanctuary of the Lord. ||2||
ਅਨਦ ਸਹਜ ਰਸ ਸੂਖ ਘਨੇਰੇ ॥
Anadh Sehaj Ras Sookh Ghanaerae ||
अनद सहज रस सूख घनेरे ॥
They are blessed with abundant bliss, happiness, pleasure and peace.
ਦੁਸਮਨੁ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਨੇਰੇ ॥
Dhusaman Dhookh N Aavai Naerae ||
दुसमनु दूखु न आवै नेरे ॥
Enemies and pains do not even approach them.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ॥
Gur Poorai Apunae Kar Raakhae ||
गुरि पूरै अपुने करि राखे ॥
The Perfect Guru makes them His Own, and protects them.
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਲਾਥੇ ॥੩॥
Har Naam Japath Kilabikh Sabh Laathhae ||3||
हरि नामु जपत किलबिख सभि लाथे ॥३॥
Chanting the Lord's Name, they are rid of all their sins. ||3||
ਸੰਤ ਸਾਜਨ ਸਿਖ ਭਏ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ॥
Santh Saajan Sikh Bheae Suhaelae ||
संत साजन सिख भए सुहेले ॥
The Saints, spiritual companions and Sikhs are exalted and uplifted.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਲੈ ਮੇਲੇ ॥
Gur Poorai Prabh Sio Lai Maelae ||
गुरि पूरै प्रभ सिउ लै मेले ॥
The Perfect Guru leads them to meet God.
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੁਖ ਫਾਹਾ ਕਾਟਿਆ ॥
Janam Maran Dhukh Faahaa Kaattiaa ||
जनम मरन दुख फाहा काटिआ ॥
The painful noose of death and rebirth is snapped.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੜਦਾ ਢਾਕਿਆ ॥੪॥੮॥

कहु नानक गुरि पड़दा ढाकिआ ॥४॥८॥

The Perfect True Guru has bestowed the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

Anadh Mangal Kaliaan Sadhaa Sukh Kaaraj Sagalaa Raas Thheeaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
अनद मंगल कलिआण सदा सुखु कारजु सगला रासि थीआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I am blessed with bliss and happiness, emancipation and eternal peace. All my affairs have been resolved. ||1||Pause||
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠੇ ॥

चरन कमल गुर के मनि वूठे ॥
The Lotus Feet of the Guru abide within my mind.
ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਝੂਠੇ ॥੧॥
Dhookh Dharadh Bhram Binasae Jhoothae ||1||
दूख दरद भ्रम बिनसे झूठे ॥१॥
I am rid of pain, suffering, doubt and fraud. ||1||
ਨਿਤ ਉਠਿ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
Nith Outh Gaavahu Prabh Kee Baanee ||
नित उठि गावहु प्रभ की बाणी ॥
Rise early, and sing the Glorious Word of God's Bani.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ॥੨॥
Aath Pehar Har Simarahu Praanee ||2||
आठ पहर हरि सिमरहु प्राणी ॥२॥
Twenty-four hours a day, meditate in remembrance on the Lord, O mortal. ||2||
ਘਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਈ ॥
Ghar Baahar Prabh Sabhanee Thhaaee ||
घरि बाहरि प्रभु सभनी थाई ॥
Inwardly and outwardly, God is everywhere.
ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਜਹ ਹਉ ਜਾਈ ॥੩॥
Sang Sehaaee Jeh Ho Jaaee ||3||
संगि सहाई जह हउ जाई ॥३॥
Wherever I go, He is always with me, my Helper and Support. ||3||
ਦੁਇ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਕਰੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
Dhue Kar Jorr Karee Aradhaas ||
दुइ कर जोड़ि करी अरदासि ॥
With my palms pressed together, I offer this prayer.
ਸਦਾ ਜਪੇ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗੁਣਤਾਸੁ ॥੪॥੯॥
Sadhaa Japae Naanak Gunathaas ||4||9||
सदा जपे नानकु गुणतासु ॥४॥९॥
O Nanak, I meditate forever on the Lord, the Treasure of Virtue. ||4||9||

पारब्रहमु प्रभु सुघड़ सुजाणु ॥
The Supreme Lord God is All-wise and All-knowing.
ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਉ ਜਾਈਐ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Gur Pooraa Paaeeai Vaddabhaagee Dharasan Ko Jaaeeai Kurabaan ||1|| Rehaao ||
गुरु पूरा पाईऐ वडभागी दरसन कउ जाईऐ कुरबाणु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The Perfect Guru is found by great good fortune. I am a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. ||1||Pause||
ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਮੇਟੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ॥
Kilabikh Maettae Sabadh Santhokh ||
किलबिख मेटे सबदि संतोखु ॥
My sins are cut away, through the Word of the Shabad, and I have found contentment.
ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਨ ਹੋਆ ਜੋਗੁ ॥
Naam Araadhhan Hoaa Jog ||
नामु अराधन होआ जोगु ॥
I have become worthy of worshipping the Naam in adoration.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹੋਆ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
Saadhhasang Hoaa Paragaas ||
साधसंगि होआ परगासु ॥
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I have been enlightened.
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥੧॥
Charan Kamal Man Maahi Nivaas ||1||
चरन कमल मन माहि निवासु ॥१॥
The Lord's Lotus Feet abide within my mind. ||1||
ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਲੀਆ ਰਾਖਿ ॥
Jin Keeaa Thin Leeaa Raakh ||
जिनि कीआ तिनि लीआ राखि ॥
The One who made us, protects and preserves us.
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਅਨਾਥ ਕਾ ਨਾਥੁ ॥
Prabh Pooraa Anaathh Kaa Naathh ||
प्रभु पूरा अनाथ का नाथु ॥
God is Perfect, the Master of the masterless.
ਜਿਸਹਿ ਨਿਵਾਜੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
Jisehi Nivaajae Kirapaa Dhhaar ||
जिसहि निवाजे किरपा धारि ॥
Those, upon whom He showers His Mercy
ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਮ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਆਚਾਰ ॥੨॥
Pooran Karam Thaa Kae Aachaar ||2||
पूरन करम ता के आचार ॥२॥
- they have perfect karma and conduct. ||2||
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਨਵੇ ॥
Gun Gaavai Nith Nith Nith Navae ||
गुण गावै नित नित नित नवे ॥
They sing the Glories of God, continually, continuously, forever fresh and new.
ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਜੋਨਿ ਨ ਭਵੇ ॥
Lakh Chouraaseeh Jon N Bhavae ||
लख चउरासीह जोनि न भवे ॥
They do not wander in the 8.4 million incarnations.
ਈਹਾਂ ਊਹਾਂ ਚਰਣ ਪੂਜਾਰੇ ॥
Eehaan Oohaan Charan Poojaarae ||
ईहां ऊहां चरण पूजारे ॥
Here and hereafter, they worship the Lord's Feet.
ਮੁਖੁ ਊਜਲੁ ਸਾਚੇ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
Mukh Oojal Saachae Dharabaarae ||3||
मुखु ऊजलु साचे दरबारे ॥३॥
Their faces are radiant, and they are honored in the Court of the Lord. ||3||
ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਧਰਿਆ ਹਾਥੁ ॥
Jis Masathak Gur Dhhariaa Haathh ||
जिसु मसतकि गुरि धरिआ हाथु ॥
That person, upon whose forehead the Guru places His Hand
ਕੋਟਿ ਮਧੇ ਕੋ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਦਾਸੁ ॥
Kott Madhhae Ko Viralaa Dhaas ||
कोटि मधे को विरला दासु ॥
Out of millions, how rare is that slave.
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੇਖੈ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥
Jal Thhal Meheeal Paekhai Bharapoor ||
जलि थलि महीअलि पेखै भरपूरि ॥
He sees God pervading and permeating the water, the land and the sky.
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਧਰਸਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ॥੪॥੧੦॥
Naanak Oudhharas This Jan Kee Dhhoor ||4||10||
नानक उधरसि तिसु जन की धूरि ॥४॥१०॥
Nanak is saved by the dust of the feet of such a humble being. ||4||10||

अम्रित बाणी सुणत निहाल ॥
Listening to the Ambrosial Word of His Bani, I am exalted and enraptured.
ਬਿਨਸਿ ਗਏ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਜੰਜਾਲ ॥੧॥
Binas Geae Bikhiaa Janjaal ||1||
बिनसि गए बिखिआ जंजाल ॥१॥
My corrupt and poisonous entanglements are gone. ||1||
ਸਾਚ ਸਬਦ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥
Saach Sabadh Sio Laagee Preeth ||
साच सबद सिउ लागी प्रीति ॥
I am in love with the True Word of His Shabad.
ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਆਇਆ ਚੀਤਿ ॥੨॥
Har Prabh Apunaa Aaeiaa Cheeth ||2||
हरि प्रभु अपुना आइआ चीति ॥२॥
The Lord God has come into my consciousness. ||2||

नामु जपत होआ परगासु ॥
