अम्रित नामु भोजनु हरि देइ ॥
The Lord bestows the Ambrosial Food of the Naam.
ਕੋਟਿ ਮਧੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਲੇਇ ॥
Kott Madhhae Koee Viralaa Laee ||
कोटि मधे कोई विरला लेइ ॥
Out of millions, only a rare few receive it
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਅਪਣੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੧॥
Jis No Apanee Nadhar Karaee ||1||
जिस नो अपणी नदरि करेइ ॥१॥
- only those who are blessed by God's Glance of Grace. ||1||
ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਵਸਾਇ ॥

गुर के चरण मन माहि वसाइ ॥
Whoever enshrines the Guru's Feet within his mind,
ਦੁਖੁ ਅਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਅੰਦਰਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
Dhukh Anhaeraa Andharahu Jaae ||
दुखु अन्हेरा अंदरहु जाइ ॥
Is rid of pain and darkness from within.
ਆਪੇ ਸਾਚਾ ਲਏ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥੨॥
Aapae Saachaa Leae Milaae ||2||
आपे साचा लए मिलाइ ॥२॥
The True Lord unites him with Himself. ||2||
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਇ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥
Gur Kee Baanee Sio Laae Piaar ||
गुर की बाणी सिउ लाइ पिआरु ॥
So embrace love for the Word of the Guru's Bani.
ਐਥੈ ਓਥੈ ਏਹੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥
Aithhai Outhhai Eaehu Adhhaar ||
ऐथै ओथै एहु अधारु ॥
Here and hereafter, this is your only Support.
ਆਪੇ ਦੇਵੈ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰੁ ॥੩॥

Is a wise and knowing devotee.

रसकि रसकि गुन गावह गुरमति लिव उनमनि नामि लगान ॥
Through the Guru's Teachings, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord with joyous love and delight; I am enraptured, lovingly attuned to the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

Come, O Saints: let us join together, O Siblings of Destiny; let us meet and chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਿਉ ਪਾਈਐ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕਰਹੁ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਨ ॥੨॥
Kith Bidhh Kio Paaeeai Prabh Apunaa Mo Ko Karahu Oupadhaes Har Dhaan ||2||
कितु बिधि किउ पाईऐ प्रभु अपुना मो कउ करहु उपदेसु हरि दान ॥२॥
How am I to find my God? Please bless me with the Gift of the Lord's Teachings. ||2||

Sathasangath Mehi Har Har Vasiaa Mil Sangath Har Gun Jaan ||
सतसंगति महि हरि हरि वसिआ मिलि संगति हरि गुन जान ॥
The Lord, Har, Har, abides in the Society of the Saints; joining this Sangat, the Lord's Glories are known.
ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਈ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਸਿ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੩॥
Vaddai Bhaag Sathasangath Paaee Gur Sathigur Paras Bhagavaan ||3||
वडै भागि सतसंगति पाई गुरु सतिगुरु परसि भगवान ॥३॥
By great good fortune, the Society of the Saints is found. Through the Guru, the True Guru, I receive the Touch of the Lord God. ||3||
ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਗਮ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇ ਰਹੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ॥
Gun Gaaveh Prabh Agam Thaakur Kae Gun Gaae Rehae Hairaan ||
गुन गावह प्रभ अगम ठाकुर के गुन गाइ रहे हैरान ॥
I sing the Glorious Praises of God, my Inaccessible Lord and Master; singing His Praises, I am enraptured.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਖਿਨ ਦਾਨ ॥੪॥੧॥

जन नानक कउ गुरि किरपा धारी हरि नामु दीओ खिन दान ॥४॥१॥
The Guru has showered His Mercy on servant Nanak; in an instant, He blessed him with the Gift of the Lord's Name. ||4||1||

Ougavai Soor Guramukh Har Bolehi Sabh Rain Samhaalehi Har Gaal ||
उगवै सूरु गुरमुखि हरि बोलहि सभ रैनि सम्हालहि हरि गाल ॥
With the rising of the sun, the Gurmukh speaks of the Lord. All through the night, he dwells upon the Sermon of the Lord.
ਹਮਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਹਮ ਲੋਚ ਲਗਾਈ ਹਮ ਕਰਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਲ ॥੧॥

हमरै प्रभि हम लोच लगाई हम करह प्रभू हरि भाल ॥१॥
My God has infused this longing within me; I seek my Lord God. ||1||
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰਿ ਰਵਾਲ ॥
Maeraa Man Saadhhoo Dhhoor Ravaal ||
मेरा मनु साधू धूरि रवाल ॥
My mind is the dust of the feet of the Holy.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਓ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੀਠਾ ਗੁਰ ਪਗ ਝਾਰਹ ਹਮ ਬਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Har Har Naam Dhrirraaeiou Gur Meethaa Gur Pag Jhaareh Ham Baal ||1|| Rehaao ||
हरि हरि नामु द्रिड़ाइओ गुरि मीठा गुर पग झारह हम बाल ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The Guru has implanted the Sweet Name of the Lord, Har, Har, within me. I dust the Guru's Feet with my hair. ||1||Pause||
ਸਾਕਤ ਕਉ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਨਿ ਅੰਧਾਰੀ ਮੋਹਿ ਫਾਥੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਜਾਲ ॥
Saakath Ko Dhin Rain Andhhaaree Mohi Faathhae Maaeiaa Jaal ||
साकत कउ दिनु रैनि अंधारी मोहि फाथे माइआ जाल ॥
Dark are the days and nights of the faithless cynics; they are caught in the trap of attachment to Maya.
ਖਿਨੁ ਪਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਨ ਵਸਿਓ ਰਿਨਿ ਬਾਧੇ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਬਾਲ ॥੨॥
Khin Pal Har Prabh Ridhai N Vasiou Rin Baadhhae Bahu Bidhh Baal ||2||
खिनु पलु हरि प्रभु रिदै न वसिओ रिनि बाधे बहु बिधि बाल ॥२॥
The Lord God does not dwell in their hearts, even for an instant; every hair of their heads is totally tied up in debts. ||2||
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਮਤਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਪਾਈ ਹਉ ਛੂਟੇ ਮਮਤਾ ਜਾਲ ॥
Sathasangath Mil Math Budhh Paaee Ho Shhoottae Mamathaa Jaal ||
सतसंगति मिलि मति बुधि पाई हउ छूटे ममता जाल ॥
Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, wisdom and understanding are obtained, and one is released from the traps of egotism and possessiveness.
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠ ਲਗਾਨਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਏ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੩॥
Har Naamaa Har Meeth Lagaanaa Gur Keeeae Sabadh Nihaal ||3||
हरि नामा हरि मीठ लगाना गुरि कीए सबदि निहाल ॥३॥
The Lord's Name, and the Lord, seem sweet to me. Through the Word of His Shabad, the Guru has made me happy. ||3||
ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਗੁਰ ਅਗਮ ਗੁਸਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ॥
Ham Baarik Gur Agam Gusaaee Gur Kar Kirapaa Prathipaal ||
हम बारिक गुर अगम गुसाई गुर करि किरपा प्रतिपाल ॥
I am just a child; the Guru is the Unfathomable Lord of the World. In His Mercy, He cherishes and sustains me.
ਬਿਖੁ ਭਉਜਲ ਡੁਬਦੇ ਕਾਢਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਾਲ ਗੁਪਾਲ ॥੪॥੨॥

I am drowning in the ocean of poison; O God, Guru, Lord of the World, please save Your child, Nanak. ||4||2||
