Prabhaatee, Fourth Mehl:
ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਓ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਮ ਮੁਏ ਜੀਵੇ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਭਾ ॥
Gur Sathigur Naam Dhrirraaeiou Har Har Ham Mueae Jeevae Har Japibhaa ||
गुर सतिगुरि नामु द्रिड़ाइओ हरि हरि हम मुए जीवे हरि जपिभा ॥
The Guru, the True Guru, has implanted the Naam, the Name of the Lord within me. I was dead, but chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, I have been brought back to life.
ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਬਿਖੁ ਡੁਬਦੇ ਬਾਹ ਦੇਇ ਕਢਿਭਾ ॥੧॥
Dhhan Dhhann Guroo Gur Sathigur Pooraa Bikh Ddubadhae Baah Dhaee Kadtibhaa ||1||
धनु धंनु गुरू गुरु सतिगुरु पूरा बिखु डुबदे बाह देइ कढिभा ॥१॥
Blessed, blessed is the Guru, the Guru, the Perfect True Guru; He reached out to me with His Arm, and pulled me up and out of the ocean of poison. ||1||
ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਧਾਂਭਾ ॥
Jap Man Raam Naam Aradhhaanbhaa ||
जपि मन राम नामु अरधांभा ॥
O mind,meditate and worship the Lord's Name.
ਉਪਜੰਪਿ ਉਪਾਇ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਕਤਹੂ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਲਾਭਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Oupajanp Oupaae N Paaeeai Kathehoo Gur Poorai Har Prabh Laabhaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
उपज्मपि उपाइ न पाईऐ कतहू गुरि पूरै हरि प्रभु लाभा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
God is never found, even by making all sorts of new efforts. The Lord God is obtained only through the Perfect Guru. ||1||Pause||
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸੁ ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਆ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਰਸਭਾ ॥
Raam Naam Ras Raam Rasaaein Ras Peeaa Guramath Rasabhaa ||
राम नामु रसु राम रसाइणु रसु पीआ गुरमति रसभा ॥
The Sublime Essence of the Lord's Name is the source of nectar and bliss; drinking in this Sublime Essence, following the Guru's Teachings, I have become happy.
ਲੋਹ ਮਨੂਰ ਕੰਚਨੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿਓ ਗੁਰਿ ਹਰਿਭਾ ॥੨॥
Loh Manoor Kanchan Mil Sangath Har Our Dhhaariou Gur Haribhaa ||2||
लोह मनूर कंचनु मिलि संगति हरि उर धारिओ गुरि हरिभा ॥२॥
Even iron slag is transformed into gold, joining the Lord's Congregation. Through the Guru, the Lord's Light is enshrined within the heart. ||2||
ਹਉਮੈ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਨਿਤ ਲੋਭਿ ਲੁਭਾਨੇ ਪੁਤ ਕਲਤ ਮੋਹਿ ਲੁਭਿਭਾ ॥
Houmai Bikhiaa Nith Lobh Lubhaanae Puth Kalath Mohi Lubhibhaa ||
हउमै बिखिआ नित लोभि लुभाने पुत कलत मोहि लुभिभा ॥
Those who are continually lured by greed, egotism and corruption, who are lured away by emotional attachment to their children and spouse
ਹਉਮੈ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਨਿਤ ਲੋਭਿ ਲੁਭਾਨੇ ਪੁਤ ਕਲਤ ਮੋਹਿ ਲੁਭਿਭਾ ॥
Houmai Bikhiaa Nith Lobh Lubhaanae Puth Kalath Mohi Lubhibhaa ||
हउमै बिखिआ नित लोभि लुभाने पुत कलत मोहि लुभिभा ॥

Thumarae Gun Thum Hee Prabh Jaanahu Ham Parae Haar Thum Saranabhaa ||
तुमरे गुन तुम ही प्रभ जानहु हम परे हारि तुम सरनभा ॥
O God, You alone know Your Glorious Virtues; I have grown weary - I seek Your Sanctuary.
ਜਿਉ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਤਿਉ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਦਾਸੁ ਤੁਮਨਭਾ ॥੪॥੬॥ ਛਕਾ ੧ ॥
Jio Jaanahu Thio Raakhahu Suaamee Jan Naanak Dhaas Thumanabhaa ||4||6||
जिउ जानहु तिउ राखहु सुआमी जन नानकु दासु तुमनभा ॥४॥६॥ छका १ ॥
As You know best, You preserve and protect me, O my Lord and Master; servant Nanak is Your slave. ||4||6||

ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥
Jap Man Har Har Naam Nidhhaan ||
जपि मन हरि हरि नामु निधान ॥
O mind, meditate on the Treasure of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਾਨ ॥
Har Dharageh Paavehi Maan ||
हरि दरगह पावहि मान ॥
You shall be honored in the Court of the Lord.
ਜਿਨਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਤੇ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਾਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jin Japiaa Thae Paar Paraan ||1|| Rehaao ||
जिनि जपिआ ते पारि परान ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Those who chant and meditate shall be carried across to the other shore. ||1||Pause||
ਸੁਨਿ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥
Sun Man Har Har Naam Kar Dhhiaan ||
सुनि मन हरि हरि नामु करि धिआनु ॥
Listen, O mind: meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਸੁਨਿ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਅਠਸਠਿ ਮਜਾਨੁ ॥
Sun Man Har Keerath Athasath Majaan ||
सुनि मन हरि कीरति अठसठि मजानु ॥
Listen, O mind: the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises is equal to bathing at the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage.
ਸੁਨਿ ਮਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਾਨੁ ॥੧॥
Sun Man Guramukh Paavehi Maan ||1||
सुनि मन गुरमुखि पावहि मानु ॥१॥
Listen, O mind: as Gurmukh, you shall be blessed with honor. ||1||
ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰੁ ਪਰਧਾਨੁ ॥
Jap Man Paramaesur Paradhhaan ||
जपि मन परमेसुरु परधानु ॥
O mind, chant and meditate on the Supreme Transcendent Lord God.
ਖਿਨ ਖੋਵੈ ਪਾਪ ਕੋਟਾਨ ॥
Khin Khovai Paap Kottaan ||
खिन खोवै पाप कोटान ॥
Millions of sins shall be destroyed in an instant.
ਮਿਲੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੨॥੧॥੭॥
Mil Naanak Har Bhagavaan ||2||1||7||
मिलु नानक हरि भगवान ॥२॥१॥७॥
O Nanak, you shall meet with the Lord God. ||2||1||7||

ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਆ ਤਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਸਾਜਿਆ ॥
Man Har Keeaa Than Sabh Saajiaa ||
मनु हरि कीआ तनु सभु साजिआ ॥
The Lord created the mind, and fashioned the entire body.
ਪੰਚ ਤਤ ਰਚਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਨਿਵਾਜਿਆ ॥
Panch Thath Rach Joth Nivaajiaa ||
पंच तत रचि जोति निवाजिआ ॥
From the five elements, He formed it, and infused His Light within it.
ਸਿਹਜਾ ਧਰਤਿ ਬਰਤਨ ਕਉ ਪਾਨੀ ॥
Sihajaa Dhharath Barathan Ko Paanee ||
सिहजा धरति बरतन कउ पानी ॥
He made the earth its bed, and water for it to use.
ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਵਿਸਾਰਹੁ ਸੇਵਹੁ ਸਾਰਿਗਪਾਨੀ ॥੧॥
Nimakh N Visaarahu Saevahu Saarigapaanee ||1||
निमख न विसारहु सेवहु सारिगपानी ॥१॥
Do not forget Him for an instant; serve the Lord of the World. ||1||
ਮਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਹੋਇ ਪਰਮ ਗਤੇ ॥
Man Sathigur Saev Hoe Param Gathae ||
मन सतिगुरु सेवि होइ परम गते ॥
O mind, serve the True Guru, and obtain the supreme status.
ਹਰਖ ਸੋਗ ਤੇ ਰਹਹਿ ਨਿਰਾਰਾ ਤਾਂ ਤੂ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਪਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Harakh Sog Thae Rehehi Niraaraa Thaan Thoo Paavehi Praanapathae ||1|| Rehaao ||
हरख सोग ते रहहि निरारा तां तू पावहि प्रानपते ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
If you remain unattached and unaffected by sorrow and joy, then you shall find the Lord of Life. ||1||Pause||
ਕਾਪੜ ਭੋਗ ਰਸ ਅਨਿਕ ਭੁੰਚਾਏ ॥
Kaaparr Bhog Ras Anik Bhunchaaeae ||
कापड़ भोग रस अनिक भुंचाए ॥
He makes all the various pleasures, clothes and foods for you to enjoy.
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਸਗਲ ਬਨਾਏ ॥
Maath Pithaa Kuttanb Sagal Banaaeae ||
मात पिता कुट्मब सगल बनाए ॥
He made your mother, father and all relatives.
ਰਿਜਕੁ ਸਮਾਹੇ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮੀਤ ॥
Rijak Samaahae Jal Thhal Meeth ||
रिजकु समाहे जलि थलि मीत ॥
He provides sustenance to all, in the water and on the land, O friend.
ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਹੁ ਨੀਤਾ ਨੀਤ ॥੨॥
So Har Saevahu Neethaa Neeth ||2||
सो हरि सेवहु नीता नीत ॥२॥
So serve the Lord, forever and ever. ||2||
ਤਹਾ ਸਖਾਈ ਜਹ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਹੋਵੈ ॥
Thehaa Sakhaaee Jeh Koe N Hovai ||
तहा सखाई जह कोइ न होवै ॥
He shall be your Helper and Support there, where no one else can help you.
ਕੋਟਿ ਅਪ੍ਰਾਧ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਧੋਵੈ ॥
Kott Apraadhh Eik Khin Mehi Dhhovai ||
कोटि अप्राध इक खिन महि धोवै ॥
He washes away millions of sins in an instant.
ਦਾਤਿ ਕਰੈ ਨਹੀ ਪਛਤਾਵੈ ॥
Dhaath Karai Nehee Pashhuothaavai ||
दाति करै नही पछोतावै ॥
He bestows His Gifts, and never regrets them.
ਏਕਾ ਬਖਸ ਫਿਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
Eaekaa Bakhas Fir Bahur N Bulaavai ||3||
एका बखस फिरि बहुरि न बुलावै ॥३॥
He forgives, once and for all, and never asks for one's account again. ||3||
