आठ पहर पारब्रहमु धिआई सदा सदा गुन गाइआ ॥
Twenty-four hours a day, I meditate on the Supreme Lord God; I sing His Glorious Praises forever and ever.

सिमरत नामु किलबिख सभि नासे ॥
Meditating in rememberance on the Naam, all my sins have been erased.
ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਨੀ ਰਾਸੇ ॥
Sach Naam Gur Dheenee Raasae ||
सचु नामु गुरि दीनी रासे ॥
The Guru has blessed me with the Capital of the True Name.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤੇ ॥
Prabh Kee Dharageh Sobhaavanthae ||
प्रभ की दरगह सोभावंते ॥
God's servants are embellished and exalted in His Court;
ਸੇਵਕ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹੰਤੇ ॥੧॥

सेवक सेवि सदा सोहंते ॥१॥
Serving Him, they look beauteous forever. ||1||

The Guru has saved me from death and rebirth, O friend;

हरि के नाम सिउ लागी प्रीति ॥
I am in love with the Name of the Lord.
ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਗਏ ਕਲੇਸ ॥

कोटि जनम के गए कलेस ॥
The suffering of millions of incarnations is gone;
ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਭਲ ਹੋਸ ॥੨॥
Jo This Bhaavai So Bhal Hos ||2||
जो तिसु भावै सो भल होस ॥२॥
Whatever pleases Him is good. ||2||
ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਹਉ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ॥
This Gur Ko Ho Sadh Bal Jaaee ||
तिसु गुर कउ हउ सद बलि जाई ॥
I am forever a sacrifice to the Guru;
ਜਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥

जिसु प्रसादि हरि नामु धिआई ॥
By His Grace, I meditate on the Lord's Name.
ਐਸਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ॥
Aisaa Gur Paaeeai Vaddabhaagee ||
ऐसा गुरु पाईऐ वडभागी ॥
By great good fortune, such a Guru is found;
ਜਿਸੁ ਮਿਲਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥੩॥
Jis Milathae Raam Liv Laagee ||3||
जिसु मिलते राम लिव लागी ॥३॥
Meeting Him, one is lovingly attuned to the Lord. ||3||

करि किरपा पारब्रहम सुआमी ॥
Please be merciful, O Supreme Lord God, O Lord and Master,

सगल घटा के अंतरजामी ॥
Inner-knower, Searcher of Hearts.

He has blessed me with the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

भै बिनसे उतरी सभ चिंद ॥१॥
Fear is dispelled, and all anxiety has been alleviated. ||1||
ਉਬਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਲਾਗਿ ॥
Oubarae Sathigur Charanee Laag ||
उबरे सतिगुर चरनी लागि ॥
I have been saved, touching the Feet of the True Guru.
ਜੋ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਹੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਮੀਠਾ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਮਤਿ ਤਿਆਗਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Man Than Vasiaa Har Prabh Soee ||
मनि तनि वसिआ हरि प्रभु सोई ॥
That Lord God abides within my mind and body.
ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਕਿਛੁ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥
Kal Kalaes Kishh Bighan N Hoee ||
कलि कलेस किछु बिघनु न होई ॥
There are no conflicts, pains or obstacles.
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜੀਅ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥
Sadhaa Sadhaa Prabh Jeea Kai Sang ||
सदा सदा प्रभु जीअ कै संगि ॥
Forever and ever, God is with my soul.
ਉਤਰੀ ਮੈਲੁ ਨਾਮ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੨॥
Outharee Mail Naam Kai Rang ||2||
उतरी मैलु नाम कै रंगि ॥२॥
Filth and pollution are washed away by the Love of the Name. ||2||
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੋ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥

चरन कमल सिउ लागो पिआरु ॥
I am in love with the Lotus Feet of the Lord;
ਬਿਨਸੇ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ॥
Binasae Kaam Krodhh Ahankaar ||
बिनसे काम क्रोध अहंकार ॥
I am no longer consumed by sexual desire, anger and egotism.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਨ ਕਾ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥
Prabh Milan Kaa Maarag Jaanaan ||
प्रभ मिलन का मारगु जानां ॥
Now, I know the way to meet God.
ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਾਂ ॥੩॥
Bhaae Bhagath Har Sio Man Maanaan ||3||
भाइ भगति हरि सिउ मनु मानां ॥३॥
Through loving devotional worship, my mind is pleased and appeased with the Lord. ||3||
ਸੁਣਿ ਸਜਣ ਸੰਤ ਮੀਤ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ॥
Sun Sajan Santh Meeth Suhaelae ||
सुणि सजण संत मीत सुहेले ॥
Listen, O friends, Saints, my exalted companions.
ਨਾਮੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਅਗਹ ਅਤੋਲੇ ॥
Naam Rathan Har Ageh Atholae ||
नामु रतनु हरि अगह अतोले ॥
The Jewel of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is unfathomable and immeasurable.
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਿ ਗਾਈਐ ॥

सदा सदा प्रभु गुण निधि गाईऐ ॥
Forever and ever, sing the Glories of God, the Treasure of Virtue.

हरि की दरगह नामु विसाहा ॥१॥
Who have the credit of the Naam in the Court of the Lord. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਮਨ ਮੀਤ ॥

हरि हरि नामु जपहु मन मीत ॥
So chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, in your mind, my friends.

गुरु पूरा पाईऐ वडभागी निरमल पूरन रीति ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The Perfect Guru is found by great good fortune, and then one's lifestyle becomes perfect and immaculate. ||1||Pause||
ਪਾਇਆ ਲਾਭੁ ਵਜੀ ਵਾਧਾਈ ॥
Paaeiaa Laabh Vajee Vaadhhaaee ||
पाइआ लाभु वजी वाधाई ॥
They earn the profit, and the congratulations pour in;
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਈ ॥੨॥

संत प्रसादि हरि के गुन गाई ॥२॥
By the Grace of the Saints, they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||2||
ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
Safal Janam Jeevan Paravaan ||
सफल जनमु जीवन परवाणु ॥
Their lives are fruitful and prosperous, and their birth is approved;
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣੁ ॥੩॥
Gur Parasaadhee Har Rang Maan ||3||
गुर परसादी हरि रंगु माणु ॥३॥
By Guru's Grace, they enjoy the Love of the Lord. ||3||
ਬਿਨਸੇ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ॥
Binasae Kaam Krodhh Ahankaar ||
बिनसे काम क्रोध अहंकार ॥
Sexuality, anger and egotism are wiped away;
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਉਤਰਹਿ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੭॥
Naanak Guramukh Outharehi Paar ||4||7||
नानक गुरमुखि उतरहि पारि ॥४॥७॥
O Nanak, as Gurmukh, they are carried across to the other shore. ||4||7||
