ਸੇ ਧਨਵੰਤ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਾਸਿ ॥
Sae Dhhanavanth Jin Har Prabh Raas ||
से धनवंत जिन हरि प्रभु रासि ॥
They alone are rich, who have the Wealth of the Lord God.
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਾਸਿ ॥
Kaam Krodhh Gur Sabadh Naas ||
काम क्रोध गुर सबदि नासि ॥
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, sexual desire and anger are eradicated.
ਭੈ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Bhai Binasae Nirabhai Padh Paaeiaa ||
भै बिनसे निरभै पदु पाइआ ॥
Their fear is dispelled, and they attain the state of fearlessness.
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਨਾਨਕਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੨॥

साधसंगति प्रभि कीओ निवास ॥
God dwells in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਹੋਈ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸ ॥
Har Jap Jap Hoee Pooran Aas ||
हरि जपि जपि होई पूरन आस ॥
Chanting and meditating on the Lord, one's hopes are fulfilled.
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ॥
Jal Thhal Meheeal Rav Rehiaa ||
जलि थलि महीअलि रवि रहिआ ॥
God permeates and pervades the water, the land and the sky.
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਨਾਨਕਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਹਿਆ ॥੩॥

असट सिधि नव निधि एह ॥
The eight miraculous spiritual powers and the nine treasures are contained in the Naam,
ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹ ॥
Karam Paraapath Jis Naam Dhaeh ||
करमि परापति जिसु नामु देह ॥
The Name of the Lord. This is bestowed when God grants His Grace.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਹਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ॥
Prabh Jap Jap Jeevehi Thaerae Dhaas ||
प्रभ जपि जपि जीवहि तेरे दास ॥
Your slaves, O God, live by chanting and meditating on Your Name.

प्रभि मेले चिरी विछुंनिआ ॥१॥
And the mortal is re-united with God, after having been separated for so long. ||1||

करि किरपा नदरि निहालिआ ॥
Bestowing His Mercy, He blesses us with His Glance of Grace.
ਅਪਣਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲਿਆ ॥੨॥
Apanaa Dhaas Aap Samhaaliaa ||2||
अपणा दासु आपि सम्हालिआ ॥२॥
God Himself takes care of His slave. ||2||
ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਰਸਿ ਬਨੀ ॥
Saej Suhaavee Ras Banee ||
सेज सुहावी रसि बनी ॥
My bed has been beautified by His Love.
ਆਇ ਮਿਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਖ ਧਨੀ ॥੩॥

आइ मिले प्रभ सुख धनी ॥३॥
God, the Giver of Peace, has come to meet me. ||3||
ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਣੁ ਅਵਗਣੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥

मेरा गुणु अवगणु न बीचारिआ ॥
He does not consider my merits and demerits.

The sins are erased, singing the Glories of God;
ਅਨਦਿਨ ਉਪਜੀ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨਾ ॥੧॥
Anadhin Oupajee Sehaj Dhhunaa ||1||
अनदिन उपजी सहज धुना ॥१॥
Night and day, celestial joy wells up. ||1||
ਮਨੁ ਮਉਲਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਸੰਗਿ ॥
Man Mouliou Har Charan Sang ||
मनु मउलिओ हरि चरन संगि ॥
My mind has blossomed forth, by the touch of the Lord's Feet.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਾਧੂ ਜਨ ਭੇਟੇ ਨਿਤ ਰਾਤੌ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Saadhhoo Jan Bhaettae Nith Raatha Har Naam Rang ||1|| Rehaao ||
करि किरपा साधू जन भेटे नित रातौ हरि नाम रंगि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
By His Grace, He has led me to meet the Holy men, the humble servants of the Lord. I remain continually imbued with the love of the Lord's Name. ||1||Pause||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਗਪਾਲ ॥

करि किरपा प्रगटे गोपाल ॥
In His Mercy, the Lord of the World has revealed Himself to me.
ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ॥੨॥
Larr Laae Oudhhaarae Dheen Dhaeiaal ||2||
लड़ि लाइ उधारे दीन दइआल ॥२॥
The Lord, Merciful to the meek, has attached me to the hem of His robe and saved me. ||2||
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਾਧ ਧੂਰਿ ॥
Eihu Man Hoaa Saadhh Dhhoor ||
इहु मनु होआ साध धूरि ॥
This mind has become the dust of the Holy;
ਨਿਤ ਦੇਖੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥੩॥
Nith Dhaekhai Suaamee Hajoor ||3||
नित देखै सुआमी हजूरि ॥३॥
I behold my Lord and Master, continually, ever-present. ||3||
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਗਈ ॥
Kaam Krodhh Thrisanaa Gee ||
काम क्रोध त्रिसना गई ॥
Sexual desire, anger and desire have vanished.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਭਈ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੫॥

नानक प्रभ किरपा भई ॥४॥२॥१५॥

ਬਾਲਕ ਰਾਖੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਰ ਥਾਪਿ ॥੧॥
Baalak Raakhae Apanae Kar Thhaap ||1||
बालक राखे अपने कर थापि ॥१॥
He laid on His Hands, and protected His child. ||1||
ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਸਦ ਬਸੰਤੁ ॥
Saanth Sehaj Grihi Sadh Basanth ||
सांति सहज ग्रिहि सद बसंतु ॥
Celestial peace and tranquility fill my home forever, in this springtime of the soul.
ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਸਰਣੀ ਆਏ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਰੂਪ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

गुर पूरे की सरणी आए कलिआण रूप जपि हरि हरि मंतु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I have sought the Sanctuary of the Perfect Guru; I chant the Mantra of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the Embodiment of emancipation. ||1||Pause||
ਸੋਗ ਸੰਤਾਪ ਕਟੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ॥
Sog Santhaap Kattae Prabh Aap ||
सोग संताप कटे प्रभि आपि ॥
God Himself has dispelled my sorrow and suffering.
ਗੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਉ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਜਾਪਿ ॥੨॥
Gur Apunae Ko Nith Nith Jaap ||2||
गुर अपुने कउ नित नित जापि ॥२॥
I meditate continually, continuously, on my Guru. ||2||
ਜੋ ਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਜਪੇ ਨਾਉ ॥
Jo Jan Thaeraa Japae Naao ||
जो जनु तेरा जपे नाउ ॥
That humble being who chants Your Name,
ਸਭਿ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥੩॥
Sabh Fal Paaeae Nihachal Gun Gaao ||3||
सभि फल पाए निहचल गुण गाउ ॥३॥
Obtains all fruits and rewards; singing the Glories of God, he becomes steady and stable. ||3||
ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਾ ਭਲੀ ਰੀਤਿ ॥

नानक भगता भली रीति ॥
O Nanak, the way of the devotees is good.
ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਜਪਦੇ ਨੀਤ ਨੀਤਿ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੬॥

सुखदाता जपदे नीत नीति ॥४॥३॥१६॥
They meditate continually, continuously, on the Lord, the Giver of peace. ||4||3||16||

अपने सेवक कउ भइआ दइआलु ॥१॥
He shows Mercy to His servant. ||1||
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਆ ॥
Gur Poorai Sabh Pooraa Keeaa ||
गुरि पूरै सभु पूरा कीआ ॥
The Perfect Guru makes everything perfect.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦ ਮਹਿ ਦੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
