गुर पूरे की सरणी परे ॥३॥
I have sought the Sanctuary of the Perfect Guru. ||3||

आपि करहि आपि करणैहारे ॥
He Himself does, and causes everything to be done.

Behold the flowers flowering, and the blossoms blossoming forth!

Renounce and abandon your egotism.

Meet with God, O blessed one.

The tender young plants smell so good,
ਇਕਿ ਰਹੇ ਸੂਕਿ ਕਠੂਲੇ ॥

इकि रहे सूकि कठूले ॥
While others remain like dry wood.
ਬਸੰਤ ਰੁਤਿ ਆਈ ॥

बसंत रुति आई ॥
The season of spring has come;
ਪਰਫੂਲਤਾ ਰਹੇ ॥੧॥

परफूलता रहे ॥१॥
It blossoms forth luxuriantly. ||1||
ਅਬ ਕਲੂ ਆਇਓ ਰੇ ॥
Ab Kaloo Aaeiou Rae ||
अब कलू आइओ रे ॥
Now, the Dark Age of Kali Yuga has come.
ਇਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੋਵਹੁ ਬੋਵਹੁ ॥
Eik Naam Bovahu Bovahu ||
इकु नामु बोवहु बोवहु ॥
Plant the Naam, the Name of the One Lord.
ਅਨ ਰੂਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਨਾਹੀ ॥

It is not the season to plant other seeds.

Do not wander lost in doubt and delusion.

Let yourselves be joined to the Name of the Lord; become Gurmukh, spread out your mat, and sit down. ||1||

इन्ह बिधि पासा ढालहु बीर ॥
In this way, throw the dice, O brothers.

करम धरम तुम्ह चउपड़ि साजहु सतु करहु तुम्ह सारी ॥
Let righteous actions be your gameboard, and let the truth be your dice.
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਜੀਤਹੁ ਐਸੀ ਖੇਲ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੨॥
Kaam Krodhh Lobh Mohu Jeethahu Aisee Khael Har Piaaree ||2||
कामु क्रोधु लोभु मोहु जीतहु ऐसी खेल हरि पिआरी ॥२॥
Conquer sexual desire, anger, greed and worldly attachment; only such a game as this is dear to the Lord. ||2||
ਉਠਿ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਪਰਭਾਤੇ ਸੋਏ ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧੇ ॥
Outh Eisanaan Karahu Parabhaathae Soeae Har Aaraadhhae ||
उठि इसनानु करहु परभाते सोए हरि आराधे ॥
Rise in the early hours of the morning, and take your cleansing bath. Before you go to bed at night, remember to worship the Lord.
ਬਿਖੜੇ ਦਾਉ ਲੰਘਾਵੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜ ਸੇਤੀ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਤੇ ॥੩॥
Bikharrae Dhaao Langhaavai Maeraa Sathigur Sukh Sehaj Saethee Ghar Jaathae ||3||
बिखड़े दाउ लंघावै मेरा सतिगुरु सुख सहज सेती घरि जाते ॥३॥
My True Guru will assist you, even on your most difficult moves; you shall reach your true home in celestial peace and poise. ||3||
ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਖੇਲੈ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਖੈ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਰਚਨੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ॥

हरि आपे खेलै आपे देखै हरि आपे रचनु रचाइआ ॥
The Lord Himself plays, and He Himself watches; the Lord Himself created the creation.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜੋ ਨਰੁ ਖੇਲੈ ਸੋ ਜਿਣਿ ਬਾਜੀ ਘਰਿ ਆਇਆ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੯॥

जन नानक गुरमुखि जो नरु खेलै सो जिणि बाजी घरि आइआ ॥४॥१॥१९॥
O servant Nanak, that person who plays this game as Gurmukh, wins the game of life, and returns to his true home. ||4||1||19||

तेरिआ भगता कउ बलिहारा ॥
I am a sacrifice to Your devotees.
ਥਾਨੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰਾ ਰੰਗ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਪਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

थानु सुहावा सदा प्रभ तेरा रंग तेरे आपारा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

तेरी सेवा तुझ ते होवै अउरु न दूजा करता ॥
Only You Yourself can perform Your service. No one else can do it.
