एक समै मो कउ गहि बांधै तउ फुनि मो पै जबाबु न होइ ॥१॥

मै गुन बंध सगल की जीवनि मेरी जीवनि मेरे दास ॥
I am bound by virtue; I am the Life of all. My slaves are my very life.

कामु न बिसरिओ क्रोधु न बिसरिओ लोभु न छूटिओ देवा ॥
You have not forgotten sexual desire, and you have not forgotten anger; greed has not left you either.
ਪਰ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਨਹੀ ਛੂਟੀ ਨਿਫਲ ਭਈ ਸਭ ਸੇਵਾ ॥੧॥
Par Nindhaa Mukh Thae Nehee Shhoottee Nifal Bhee Sabh Saevaa ||1||
पर निंदा मुख ते नही छूटी निफल भई सभ सेवा ॥१॥
Your mouth has not stopped slandering and gossiping about others. Your service is useless and fruitless. ||1||
ਬਾਟ ਪਾਰਿ ਘਰੁ ਮੂਸਿ ਬਿਰਾਨੋ ਪੇਟੁ ਭਰੈ ਅਪ੍ਰਾਧੀ ॥
Baatt Paar Ghar Moos Biraano Paett Bharai Apraadhhee ||
बाट पारि घरु मूसि बिरानो पेटु भरै अप्राधी ॥
By breaking into the houses of others and robbing them, you fill your belly, you sinner.
ਜਿਹਿ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਜਾਇ ਅਪਕੀਰਤਿ ਸੋਈ ਅਬਿਦਿਆ ਸਾਧੀ ॥੨॥
Jihi Paralok Jaae Apakeerath Soee Abidhiaa Saadhhee ||2||
जिहि परलोक जाइ अपकीरति सोई अबिदिआ साधी ॥२॥
But when you go to the world beyond, your guilt will be well known, by the acts of ignorance which you committed. ||2||
ਹਿੰਸਾ ਤਉ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਨਹੀ ਛੂਟੀ ਜੀਅ ਦਇਆ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਲੀ ॥
Hinsaa Tho Man Thae Nehee Shhoottee Jeea Dhaeiaa Nehee Paalee ||
हिंसा तउ मन ते नही छूटी जीअ दइआ नही पाली ॥
Cruelty has not left your mind; you have not cherished kindness for other living beings.
ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਕਥਾ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਨ ਚਾਲੀ ॥੩॥੧॥੬॥

ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪੇਖਿ ਭਏ ਨਿਰਬਿਖਈ ਪਾਏ ਹੈ ਸਗਲੇ ਥੋਕ ॥

दरसनु पेखि भए निरबिखई पाए है सगले थोक ॥
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, they are cleansed of corruption. They obtain absolutely everything.

सिआम सुंदर तजि आन जु चाहत जिउ कुसटी तनि जोक ॥
But one who forsakes the elegantly beautiful Lord, and harbors desire for anything else, is like a leech on the body of a leper.

Aagae Ko Kishh Thulehaa Baandhhahu Kiaa Bharavaasaa Dhhan Kaa ||
आगे कउ किछु तुलहा बांधहु किआ भरवासा धन का ॥
So build a raft to the world hereafter; what faith do you place in wealth?
ਕਹਾ ਬਿਸਾਸਾ ਇਸ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਕਾ ਇਤਨਕੁ ਲਾਗੈ ਠਨਕਾ ॥੧॥
Kehaa Bisaasaa Eis Bhaanddae Kaa Eithanak Laagai Thanakaa ||1||
कहा बिसासा इस भांडे का इतनकु लागै ठनका ॥१॥
What confidence do you place in this fragile vessel; it breaks with the slightest stroke. ||1||
ਸਗਲ ਧਰਮ ਪੁੰਨ ਫਲ ਪਾਵਹੁ ਧੂਰਿ ਬਾਂਛਹੁ ਸਭ ਜਨ ਕਾ ॥
Sagal Dhharam Punn Fal Paavahu Dhhoor Baanshhahu Sabh Jan Kaa ||
सगल धरम पुंन फल पावहु धूरि बांछहु सभ जन का ॥
You shall obtain the rewards of all righteousness and goodness, if you desire to be the dust of all.
